That morning, there was so much to choose between to do:
- go to the mass funeral at Merkaz Harav in Jerusalem
- go to the Brit Milah (circumcision ceremony) of another family's newborn son
- help set up the Eldar home for the week-long shiva, mourning time
- mope around at home
- or go to pray in Tel Shiloh, as we had planned a month earlier
I felt it necessary to get my strength and comfort from G-d's shechina, which can still be sensed at Tel Shiloh. My friends and I have been making a point to visit the Tel at least once a month recently. I really was expecting more women for Rosh Chodesh Adar Sheini, but to quote John Lennon, "Life is just what happens to you, while you're busy making other plans."
At least Pesky Settler joined us.
We felt a comforting peace at the Tel.
The almond trees were blooming.
Wild flowers decorated the ground.
G-d willing, more women will be able to join us next month.
