Historical Parallels Between India-Pakastan and Israel

I wrote this letter to the Jerusalem Post which probably won't be published. It should have appeared today, so when I didn't see it, I put my letter on Facebook. Then the Facebook post seems to have disappeared... strange...

So here's what I wrote:

elephant in the room
The Jerusalem Post, Tzvika Klein, among others keep ignoring the most important, and obvious to me, connection between what's happening between India and Pakistan and the Arab war against Israel. Go back to history, post World War Two, August 14, 1947 when Great Britain divided the Indian subcontinent into two unequal parts, one for the Hindus and the other for the Muslims which became India and Pakistan.
Not long before that, Great Britain began dividing up the British Mandate of Palestine, which was supposed to be for the Jewish People, by importing the Hashemites from Saudi Arabia to rule the eastern bank of the territory and called it Jordan. Afterwards, instead of allowing Jews to establish a country on the entire western part of the Mandate, Britain, along with the newly formed United Nations, allocated a small indefensible bit of the land to the Jews and the rest of they assigned to Arabs to invent an additional Moslem country. Member countries of the UN voted its approval November 29, 1949. That second Arab Moslem country in the mandated land didn't come to be, because there was no actual nation/people there, so when Israel's War for Independence ended Jordan occupied all the territory not in Israel's control.
The wars we've been suffering from since then and what's going on between India and Pakistan are all connected to Britain's and the UN's playing god in distant parts of the world.
It's a shame that Klein and other Jerusalem Post writers keep ignoring this.

History of Jordan and Palestine in a Nutshell

A little history...

East of these mountains I can see from my house is Jordan...

Here's the very short history of Jordan. It was invented by Britain when they were looking for someone to hold onto the eastern part of the Mandate. The entire Mandate was supposed to become a Jewish State. So the Brits imported a foreign sheik, Abdulla and made up the "Kingdom of Jordan."

Then they and their buddies in the newly formed UN decided that the Jews should share what was left with another Arab "nation", as if Abdulla wasn't Arab. They drew a map, which resembled blood splatter, and told the Jews, grandparents and parent of those rioting against Bibi, that they could have the splotches while the rest would go to the "palestinians." And that's how that "nation" was born.

If Huma-Clinton Follow Obama as POTUS, Will Israel Finally See The Light?

Unlike many Israelis, I've never really considered the United States to be a true friend of the State of Israel. General policy comes from the State Department, and the nuances come from the sitting President. And don't forget that from the very beginning, the advice to then President Truman concerning how to vote on November 29, 1947, was to vote "no" concerning the approval of the establishment of a Jewish State.

After much debate and visit from an old friend, Truman bucked that advice and had his delegate vote "yes."

And while Arab forces, backed by Great Britain and others fought the newly formed IDF, Truman sat on his hands and watched, if he paid attention at all. Most countries, even those that voted "yes," expected the nascent Jewish State to be quickly defeated. That was the popular wisdom of the time. Remember that Great Britain did everything in its power to sabotage the establishment of a viable Jewish State. That included severely restricting immigration to preserve an Arab majority, arming the Arabs and dividing up the area mandated by the League of Nations to be Jewish state, twice, once by inventing Jordan, and the second by promoting the division of the remaining territory into Jewish and Arab states.

I consider the United States to be an extremely dangerous enemy of the State of Israel, because it claims to be a friend and ally while undermining our security and economic viability constantly. This is a classic example of the abuser-victim relationship, where the abuser proclaims love while abusing/beating the victim and then giving "gifts." Unfortunately, the Israeli persona/psyche is so damaged after thousands of years of antisemitism, that it is desperate for any form of attention and "kind" words, even when accompanied by backstabbing.

U.S. Presidents from the Democrats are most skilled at playing these games. One big reason is because American Jews have an illogical* affinity to the Democratic Party. And although it's no secret that Hillary Clinton's top aide and advisor is the pro-Arab Muslim Huma Abedin, a humongous percentage of her financial support is coming from Jews.

It would be worse than naive to imagine a Hillary Clinton White House without Huma Abedin in a top official role. I have no doubt that American Jewry will continue to lie to itself about Hillary being a friend, but I should hope that the State of Israel will finally wise up and see the truth. The United States of America is neither a friend nor ally of the State of Israel! This is certainly the case when the President is a Democrat, because the agenda of that party endangers the State of Israel. As awful as some of the Republican presidents have been vis-à-vis their Israeli policies, this is bupkes in comparison to the potential dangers of a Hillary Clinton presidency.

Yes, that means I consider Donald Trump to be much better for Israel and American Jews than Hillary.

And I also think that having another US President, Hillary Gd forbid, who doesn't see the dangers of Islam for the world to be a danger for the United States and the rest of the world.

Remember that paranoids do have real enemies!

*I would really have wished to write "inexplicable," but we all know that for a very illogical reason, American Jewry has continuously been grateful for FDR's help in defeating the Nazis, as if he did it to stop the Holocaust, when the truth is that saving Jews was not part of his plan at all. He did nothing to stop/protest the antisemitism that mushroomed into systematic murder, nor did he do anything to stop the killing, and he kept out Jewish refugees and survivors as much as he could.

Europe's Rapidly Changing Demographics, Brexit...

As usual, Dry Bones, hit the nail on the head perfectly.

Know Your Islamophobes

The full story:
BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's interior minister has warned that the country is home to more than 500 Islamic militants who could be capable of carrying out assaults on their own or as members of "hit teams." Speaking in an interview with Bild newspaper, Thomas de Maiziere said there were currently at least 520 "potential attackers" in the country, which has been on edge since two Islamic State-inspired attacks in July. He said another 360 "relevant" people were known to police because of their close proximity to the potential attackers.
Many Germans fear that fighters belonging to the Islamic State jihadist group could have slipped into Germany with the roughly one million of refugees from Syria, North Africa and Asia who arrived last year. "The terror threat now stems from foreign hit teams as well as fanatical lone wolves in Germany," de Maiziere said in the interview ahead of the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in the United States, which were partly coordinated from Germany."The hit teams are secretly smuggled into Europe and prepare their actions without being noticed, as we saw with the attacks in Paris and Brussels," he added. "But it's even more difficult to uncover the fanatical lone wolves. Unfortunately, there is a real and present danger from both threats."
He said security authorities were doing everything possible to monitor "the potential terrorists" and noted that there have been more investigations and arrests this year. Despite their efforts, he said, "the authorities are assuming there are undiscovered lone wolf terrorists out there."

Germany had until July been spared the kind of militant attacks suffered by neighboring France and Belgium. But in late July, Islamic State claimed two attacks -- on a train near Wuerzburg and at a music festival in Ansbach -- in which asylum-seekers wounded 20 people in total. The anti-immigrant party Alternative for Germany (AfD) has seized on the attacks to criticize Chancellor Angela Merkel's migrant policies.
A friend's grandchildren had been attending British local/neighborhood schools and reported that unlike when she was growing up, the classroom demographics was far from the white Anglican, with a smattering of Jews. Britain, which has been absorbing all sorts of immigrants/newcomers from the Commonwealth and all sorts of migrants from the European Union and refugees from all over during the past half century, is extremely different from what it had been. Today's classes are a total mix of religions a cultures, multiculturalism.

Traditionally Great Britain has felt itself protected by the English Channel, but modern laws, treaties and transportation had taken down that barrier. And the British had kept its own currency, even during the honeymoon years of its membership in the EU, like a married couple, keeping the bachelor pads. No doubt that the recent terror attacks in France and Belgium, and the reports of rapes etc. in areas full of refugees, have convinced the British to divorce Europe.

Is this racism or pragmatism? What do you think?

Will Brexit and Theresa May make for Better Britain-Israel Relations?

Here in Israel, there are those who say that one of the reasons that some British voted for Brexit was the EU's extreme anti-Israel policies including the fact that it sponsors all sorts of pro-Palestine activities and NGOs which work very blatantly not only against Israel but supporting the Arab terrorists. That is what the pro-Brexit crowd meant by saying that they were interested in economic ties but not in the politics.

The Jerusalem Post has a very optimistic article about Great Britain's new incoming Prime Minister, Theresa May. Here's for hoping that they are right about her, although if their optimism is only based on a speech she gave two years ago when visiting, I'm more a pessimist. As regular readers of this blog know very well, I do not take such speeches very seriously. They are no more true than film scripts.

Theresa May, a ‘long-standing friend of Israel’

The parliamentary chairman of the Conservative Friends of Israel issued a statement saying that “Israel can rest assured that a UK led by Theresa May will be there in its moments of need."
...May, according to former ambassador to London Daniel Taub, “has been a long-standing friend of Israel and the Jewish community.” He said that as home secretary, May was very supportive of “our efforts to deepen British- Israel ties in the area of homeland security, and also very receptive to the concerns of the Jewish community regarding anti-Semitism and violent extremism.” Her ministry was responsible for Britain’s MI5 intelligence service, and as such was both aware and appreciative of the close intelligence and security cooperation between the two countries.
...May’s only visit to Israel was in the summer 2014, when the bodies of the three kidnapped youth from Gush Etzion were discovered. In a speech in September of that year to the Conservative Friends of Israel, she discussed that trip, and that speech provides a glimpse of her outlook on Israel.
“The murder of those boys – and the loss of life among Israelis and Palestinians in the subsequent military operations in Gaza – is a sad reminder that the Arab/Israeli conflict is not just an abstract debate argued over the pages of Western newspapers and television screens,” she said.

Great Britain Reverts to its Island Isolation

From the news reports, it looks like Great Britain is actually going to leave the European Union.

'Leave' scents victory as EU vote divides Britain
With results declared from 206 of 382 voting districts plus parts of Northern Ireland, Leave was ahead by 51.3 percent to 48.7 in the referendum, in which a vote to break with Europe could usher in deep uncertainty over trade and investment and fuel the rise of anti-EU movements across the continent.
Initial results suggested those in favor of quitting the EU were outperforming pollsters' expectations. They scored close to 70 percent of the vote in Hartlepool in northeast England and in Basildon, near London.
It was not clear whether an expected pro-EU vote in the capital and across Scotland would be sufficient to redress the balance. In the London district of Haringey, 76 percent voted to remain. (Reuters)

I'm not really surprised. Great Britain is an island off of Europe and always treasured its independence. That is what saved it from invasions, such as the Nazis less than a century ago. Also, in terms of the demography, cultural/ethnic politics in Britain, this is probably the last chance to get a majority to leave. As in Europe, the open borders have enabled a cultural diversity unprecedented in most of Europe and Great Britain for sure.

Don't forget that the European Union is much larger and more diversified than most people had ever expected it to be. For those who mourn the relatively monochromatic Christian Britain and Europe, they find themselves living in a nightmare, like a Twilight Zone episode.

The vote seems pretty close, so it could change directions, and then Great Britain will remain in the EU, and it will then find itself a totally different country in another couple of decades. And if it leaves, the transformation will just take a bit longer...

Aliyah Now! Why Wait?

We all know the reasons many American Jews give, those Jews who agree that aliyah is a good idea, for not making aliyah:

  • They don't have enough money to make the move. So, when things are better they will come.
  • Life in America is just too good for Jews to leave. We have everything we need, including high economic life-style.
So, by listening carefully, it's clear that when life is good in America, they won't leave, and when life is hard they won't leave. Basically, whatever is going on for them is the perfect excuse to stay in the USA.

My husband and I made the move to Israel when we were young marrieds in 1970, without the academic degrees we have now. Here in Israel I completed my B.S. and later on got a EFL teaching license, while my husband, not all that long ago, got his Masters degree from Hebrew University. We own our own home and are active members of our community, Shiloh. We are now of retirement age, work part-time, and I've also been studying one day a week for a number of years in Matan. Honestly, I can't imagine living anyplace else but Israel.

A Jewish cemetery in France defiled with swastikas. (New Voices)

In other parts of the world, life for Jews is much harder and more dangerous. Yes, it's even more dangerous than living in Shiloh; not that I consider Shiloh to be dangerous, but others do.

A massive majority of Jews in Europe are fearful of publicly identifying as Jewish, leading to decreased participation in ceremonies and prayer services, a new survey of European Jewish communities revealed.
According to details published by Israel’s Channel 2 on Tuesday, 85% said they will not bring their children to synagogue on Rosh Hashanah this week out of concern for their safety. (Algemeiner)
Great Britain is no better for Jews and Israelis than France.
More than 107,000 sign UK petition for arrest of NetanyahuMore than 107,000 people have signed a British petition calling for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to arrested for war crimes when he visits London this week for talks with Prime Minister David Cameron.Britain said visiting heads of state have immunity from legal process and thus cannot be arrested, though the petition indicates the strength of feeling among some about last year's war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza."Under international law he should be arrested for war crimes upon arrival in the UK for the massacre of over 2,000 civilians in 2014," the petition reads.
Parliament considers all petitions that get more than 100,000 signatures for a debate. (Reuters)

This is so deja vu; isn't it? Less than a hundred years ago Nazi ideology began in Europe, but Jews didn't leave in sizable enough numbers. Rabbis and community leaders on the whole encouraged them to stay. Zionist leaders were ignored, and there were even those who rejected American visas in fear that living in the USA would mean assimilation and the end of Jewish life.

Today it is even easier for Jews to assimilate in the states than ever before and it isn't PC-politically correct to voice Torah Jewish Values. Today's America idealizes transgender and same-sex "marriage." It's harder for the Jewish Sabbath Observer to get a good job with promotions than for two men or two women to get a marriage license.

And with the rapidly rising Arab and Muslim populations in the United States, it's only going to get harder for American Jews.

In the forty-five 45 years I've lived in Israel the standard of living has skyrocketed, from well behind the USA to ahead of it, and I'm not exaggerating at all. When I think of Shiloh and our county Mateh Binyamin as a microcosm of Israel, it's clear that there is a place for all Jews from all over the world and all backgrounds.

I don't know what World Jewry is waiting for.

Overdue: Kate and Will's New Baby and Bibi's Government Coalition

Kate visits Naomi
House Children's
Hospice on April 29
In all honesty there is one big difference between the new royal soon to be born baby and a new government coalition by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

  • There's an excellent chance that there will be a new baby, second child to the royal couple.
  • There's a pretty good chance that either Netanyahu's next government won't last long or may even not get off the ground at all.
Considering the ballooning egos of Israeli "political leaders," I wonder how stable any government can be. News is full of the demands of the various party heads and their inflexibility. I was disappointed in last night's Latma which made fun of Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home's) Naftali Bennett who is making a point of trying not to complain about getting the Education Ministry instead of one of the "biggies" like Foreign, Treasury or Defense Ministry.

At least some of the commentators, nobody is a real reporter since they keep giving their opinion not facts, on the TV News mentioned that Moshe Kahlon isn't the most reliable. Who knows what he'll pull if he thinks his popularity can be increased by pretending to be in charge? Bibi suffered from the machinations of Yair Lapid and Tsippi Livni which caused him to call new elections just a short while ago.

Bennett and the chareidim are in for the long haul, but I wouldn't trust Shas's Deri nor Kahlon at all. Israel may be, or already has entered, entering a period of Italian style revolving short-term governments and constant elections. That would be be until the public gets tired of all this, and the Leftist voters stop voting at all, giving the Right and religious a larger share of Knesset seats.

Good luck to Bibi and good luck to the State of Israel. And a bisha'ah tovah, in it's proper time to the British Royal Family.

Antisemitism and Anti-Israel Acts/Ideology Will Only Get Worse!

I really do think that in terms of antisemitism, all over, things will only get worse. And I don't see any chance of improvement in this pre-Messianic world. Yes, very depressing. And as you know, I really don't like writing negative, depressing articles.

Pro-Palestinian Arab demonstrators protest against Israel in London

The statistics in Europe are clear, like in Great Britain.
Report: Britain Saw Record Levels of Anti-Semitism in 2014A record number of anti-Semitic hate incidents were reported in Britain last year, fueled by the conflict in Israel and Gaza, a charity that monitors such crime reported on Thursday.
The Community Security Trust (CST), which records anti-Semitism and provides security for Britain's Jewish community, said that 1,168 anti-Semitic incidents were reported over 2014.
It was more than double the 535 incidents seen in 2013, and the highest annual total seen since CST began records in 1984. (Arutz 7)
France, no doubt, is worse.

France Terrorism

A man attacked guards at a Jewish school and an agency appealed for workers who are not Jewish
Less than a month after the Paris attacks that left 17 dead, two incidents this week have deepened anxieties among French Jews about rising anti-Semitism in France. (Time)

And the reason I say that it will only get worse is that universities all over the world, including Israel, are dominated by extreme Left ideologues who promote and sympathize with the Arabs and consider Israel an illegitimate aggressor/occupier. Read Seraphic Secret's excellent post.

And of course Dry Bones's description of the United Nations is totally correct!

Scotland Should Regain its Indpendence

I don't understand the morality behind Great Britain's protests and threats to the Scottish people about their independence bids. Davka Great Britain, the country behind the invention of all sorts of countries and imaginary histories, is having fits because the Scots want to regain their independence.
Analysing the survey, which put yes at 51%, to 49% for no, Kellner wrote:"Seldom has the term 'knife-edge' carried such lethal force. A two-point gap is too small for us to call the outcome."
The speed and size of the collapse in the no campaign's lead is astonishing, Kellner said. "The fact that the contest is too close to call is itself remarkable, as Better Together seemed to have victory in the bag. Month after month, they held a steady lead, averaging no 58%, yes 42%. In the past four weeks, support for the union has drained away at an astonishing rate."
The Scots do have a long history as a separate people, nation, kingdom. According to Wikipedia, it's 2,000, yes, two thousand years old. This chart covers the second half of that time.

That's in total contrast to countries invented by Great Britain, like Jordan, modern Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, India and Pakistan. Don't forget their biggest con on the world, "Arab Palestine," which they have been trying to get as to block a Jewish State for almost a hundred years.

I don't see why Scotland shouldn't be be able to regain independence if the people want. They certainly pass the shared history, culture test unlike most modern nations. And supporting their quest doesn't in any way give legitimacy to the Arabs here. Just the opposite. Contrast documented Scottish History with the faux people of "Palestine," sic.

The "Rachel Corrie" Terrorist Peers

Rachel Corrie's family and friends have done a great job portraying her as a peaceful innocent killed by an immoral violent IDF, but the truth is that Corrie came to Israel to support Arab terrorists whose aim is to murder innocent people like myself, my family, neighbors and friends. She may not have converted to Islam and done military/terrorist training, but if she hadn't accidentally been killed for getting in the way of Israeli soldiers policing a riot, who knows...

Last Friday, my husband and I got a real kick out of a BBC report about the upgrading of the danger alert in Britain for a possible/probable Arab terror attack in England. It's not like we are in favor of attacking the British G-d forbid, but we thought their terror of Arab terrorism very humorous. It is especially ironic that the British can so easily see the dangers when it comes to their own country, but are completely blind to the dangers to the State of Israel. Sarah Honig also finds it interesting that the British are waking up:
The heart of any feeling human being must go out to the shaken Brits.  They have duly earned our most compassionate commiseration. Out of the blue they were suddenly confronted, most unpleasantly, with the information that American journalist James Foley had been beheaded by a born and bred Londoner. Ouch!
SWNS.COM Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary is a 23-year-old London rapper who left his family’s $1 million home a year ago to fight with the Islamic State extremists. NY Daily News
British politicians and security forces, just like the Americans and others, are ideologically blinded to the connection of ISIS to Hamas and, even like too many Israeli movers and shakers, Hamas to Fatah.

What was freaking out the Brits talking was the fact that many Arab terrorists, like those who cheerfully beheaded Foley, are from good, ordinary middle-class British backgrounds, similar to Rachel Corrie in the states. These terrorists are upgraded versions of the international Left wing groupies who are active in all those faux human rights groups NGOs that come to Israel to support the Arab terrorists, yes like Rachel Corrie.
James Foley before his murder. Belfast Telegraph

Connect the dots, please. All of these Muslim Arab terror organizations are connected, and they are the ones who have been terrorizing Israeli civilians and fighting the IDF for decades. They control the PLO, which is the cleaned up diplomatic public relations version that gets sent to international bodies such as the United Nations. Their ultimate aim is to take over the world. Just read their literature and listen to them in Arabic. As the British are starting to realize, they are a serious threat to England in terms of security and basic values.

Traditional Christian Europe isn't reproducing. Maternity wards show the truth about Europe's future. According to Mordechai Kedar:
Dr. Kedar claimed that this is a process known in advance, ending with the disintegration of Europe in its current state. "It is all a result of a European softening, which the Muslims see as a weakness, as if they received Europe in their hands for free. They do not voluntarily blend in, entire neighborhoods perpetuate the culture they brought with them, they are not aware of the language and economy and stay in their enclaves. Once a French man of Algerian descent told me that they didn't move from Algeria to France, they brought Algeria to France.

According to many, demographics, which is the topic for many studies, is the red light. It points to the path in which the continent is headed – the European birthrate is at a continuous standstill while Muslim immigrants are doubling their rates.

"If they wanted to integrate within the society, as European leaders had hoped, this wouldn't be an issue," said Keidar. "But since they want to keep their identities and change Europe, it is obviously a big issue. Every year more Muslims than non-Muslims are born in France.
There is no easy cure. Statistics and modern western values show that it's getting worse.
By the year 2050, in a mere 37 years, Britain will be a majority Muslim nation.
This projection is based on reasonably good data. Between 2004 and 2008, the Muslim population of the UK grew at an annual rate of 6.7 percent, making Muslims 4 percent of the population in 2008. Extrapolating from those figures would mean that the Muslim population in 2020 would be 8 percent, 15 percent in 2030, 28 percent in 2040 and finally, in 2050, the Muslim population of the UK would exceed 50 percent of the total population.
Contrast those Muslim birth rates with the non-replacement birth rates of native Europeans, the so called deathbed demography of Europe. For a society to remain the same size, the average female has to have 2.1 children (total fertility rate). For some time now, all European countries, including Britain, have been well below that rate. The exception is Muslim Albania. For native Europeans, it seems, the consumer culture has replaced having children as life’s main goal. (the Commentator)
This is causing great changes in European and also American culture. It is becoming easier and more common for even those not born as Muslims to identify with Islam's political and religious aims. Tomorrow's Rachel Corrie won't be shy about brandishing weapons and bombs, and she most probably will hide her jeans under a long coat and her hair will be hidden by a black scarf.

No Comprendo! What Good Would It do For the USA-GB Alliance to Attack Syria?

Honestly, I think there should have had been a surprise "surgical attack" on the sites of the nuclear development in Iran.  But I don't see what useful, suitable target there could be in Syria.
Warplanes and military transporters have begun arriving at Britain's Akrotiri airbase on Cyprus, less than 100 miles from the Syrian coast, in a sign of increasing preparations for a military strike against the Assad regime in Syria.

It's one thing if they had secret agents to surprise assassinate/execute Assad and his higher ups.

It's pretty clear that the United States hasn't a clue as to what to do and what the Syrian and Arab culture, mentality is really like. Yes, I understand that they are "outraged."  But how do you militarily attack a "regime" in a useful, efficient way?  I'll never forget the absurdity of the American attack on Iraq that killed thousands of soldiers and civilians to give Sadam Hussein a fair trial.  What fair trial di they give to those soldiers and civilians they killed? And if the allied forces do get the Assad regime out of power, who will rule in his place?  Does the United States really want to find itself with another Iraq to rule?

Barry Rubin writes that none of what's going on in Syria is really all that new.
To understand Syria’s special feature, it is best to heed the all-important insight of a Lebanese-American scholar, Fouad Ajami: “Syria’s main asset, in contrast to Egypt’s preeminence and Saudi wealth, is its capacity for mischief.”
In the final analysis, the aforementioned mischief was in the service of regime maintenance, the all-encompassing cause and goal of the Syrian government’s behavior. Demagoguery, not the delivery of material benefits, is the basis of its power.
Why have those who govern Syria followed such a pattern for more than six decades under almost a dozen different regimes? The answer: Precisely because the country is a weak one in many respects. Aside from lacking Egypt’s power and Saudi Arabia’s money, it also falls short on internal coherence due to its diverse population and minority-dominated regime. In Iraq, Saddam Hussein used repression, ideology, and foreign adventures to hold together a system dominated by Sunni Arab Muslims who were only one-fifth of the population. In Syria, even more intense measures were needed to sustain an Alawite regime that rules based on a community only half as large proportionately.
I don't think it would be wise on Israel's part to use logic and common sense when trying to predict Syrian action.  Yaakov Lappin is wrong:
Any US military step will probably serve as a “slap” to the Syrian regime, but won’t go as far as toppling President Bashar Assad from power.
Hence, it would be an act of self-destruction on Assad’s part to drag Israel into the conflict, for any direct Syrian retribution against Israel would endanger the very existence of the embattled regime in Damascus.
It's important to remember that the "international community" is consistently wrong in its analysis and policy when it comes to the Middle-East, which is the most dangerous thing when talking about international peace and stability.

One response that would make sense would be for Israel, Right, Left, Center, politicians, academics and media to publically state that the Golan will remain forever in Israeli hands for the safety and security of Israel, Jews and non-Jews alike.

Looking at The Whole Picture versus The Danger of a Distorted Image

The following picture has been making the rounds on facebook and other internet sites:

I'm not sure of the original source, but from the first time I spotted it, I  just knew that I had to write about it.

Here we are in the twenty-first century.  With computers, internet, smartphones, tablets etc., it's incredibly easy to do research  history, find out simple facts, truth. So how has the "Palestinian sic myth" taken such hold.  Supposedly educated, intelligent people are convinced that there had been an Arab Palestinian state which was invaded by Jews, the Zionists, and replaced by the State of Israel.

Just like the very cropped version of the picture here which only shows an IDF soldier hitting an Arab on the ground, too many people shorten the title this Land was given by the League of Nations in July, 1922, British Mandate for Palestine.
The Mandate system was instituted by the League of Nations in the early 20th century to administer non-self-governing territories*. The mandatory power, appointed by an international body, was to consider the mandated territory a temporary trust and to see to the well-being and advancement of its population.
In July 1922, the League of Nations entrusted Great Britain with the Mandate for Palestine. Recognizing "the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine," Great Britain was called upon to facilitate the establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine-Eretz Israel (Land of Israel).  *The italics and bold here are mine.
There never, ever was a country called Palestine. Even on my relatively old and slow computer, it took just seconds to get this information.

It's a good idea to look at this phrase, which I highlighted:

non-self-governing territories

What does that really mean?  It means that there was no independent country, no state.  Actually, prior to the decision to entrust Great Britain with those territories, to prepare the Jewish population to rule it.  The Jewish People had always been present in the Holy Land and were the only people who had self-rule there with thousands of years of history including many kings, judges etc. all recorded in the Bible. That's the same Bible also read and recognized by Christians.

From the destruction of the Second Holy Temple in Jerusalem until the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, the Land was held/governed by invaders.  Prior to the British Mandate, the Ottomans (Turks) ruled for four hundred years.
The Turks ruled Palestine almost uninterruptedly for four hundred years. The only break in their rule was from 1832-1840 when Muhammet Ali, an Egyptian vassal of the Turkish Empire revolted against his patrons and conquered Palestine, Syria and parts of Asia Minor. However, with the assistance of the British and the Russians, the Ottomans regained control of the area. The price of this assistance was various capitulations to foreign governments that increasingly undermined the Turkish domination of the area. By the latter part of the century it was clear that without European assistance, the Ottoman Empire would have collapsed.
The Ottomans never controlled Palestine as a single unit. Instead they divided the immediate and surrounding areas into a number of villayets (districts) whose boundaries altered over the years.

At no point was there ever a "Palestine."

The idea of a "Palestine" was created to sabotage the mandated Jewish State. The lie has taken off and is considered true fact/history by most of the world including the major world leaders such as United States President Barack Hussein Obama, academics, intellectuals and the media, even Jews and in Israel.  The name/term "Palestine" was used to designate some land on a map, but there never was an actual people, culture etc. by that name.

We must reveal, publicize the full, complete picture.  Only the Jewish People have a national history in this part of the world.  It's our Land and nobody else's.
