Richard Gere, Perfect for Purim

I don't know how far and wide the exposure and publicity Richard Gere's Israeli interviews have gotten, but they got intolerably too much press here in Israel.

As the entire world heard at the pinnacle of the Academy Awards presentation this year when veteran and revered actors Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway showed that their specialty is reading lines, not comprehending them. Richard Gere's statements are on the same track. The utter nonsense Richard Gere has spouted as his plans for the Middle East is as realistic as the worst of Science Fiction or at best Fantasy. Gere reminds me of my students' insistence that James Bond was a real historic character, and the books and movies were based on true facts.

Actor Richard Gere attends a press conference for 'The Dinner' at the 67th Berlinale film festival, Berlin, February 10. Gere has criticized Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem and the West Bank, and Israeli settlement building.JOHN MACDOUGALL/AFP/GETTY
RICHARD GERE: THERE IS ‘NO DEFENSE’ OF ISRAEL’S OCCUPATION OR ‘ILLEGAL’ SETTLEMENTS
Gere is a convincing actor, but that doesn't mean that his knowledge and understanding of the situation here is more than superficial. All he's doing is repeating the Obama-Kerry lines, which we all know are based on a pro-Arab, pro-Palestine even if it causes the destruction of the State of Israel ideology.

Honestly, anyone who thinks that the corrupt terrorists ruling in Gaza and Ramalla can morph into peaceful, tolerant and reliable leaders has been watching (or acting in-- like in Method acting) too much Hollywood fantasy and Science Fiction.

The utter irony is that some of his words were totally on target, but his Leftist ideology distorts his comprehension of reality.
“Truth is dead, the obvious is dead, language is dead,” he told Channel 2’s Dana Weiss... (the algemeiner)
Considering Gere's visit and Purim Holiday, we can see that Gd has a great sense of humor. You can read it that Richard Gere admitted that his "truth" is a lie, since “Truth is dead" in his very words. The real Truth is you must take Gere's message and reverse it.

  • Settlements are completely legal.
  • Israel is meant to be in all of the Land liberated in the 1967 Six Days War.
That man sure needs a better scriptwriter...

Chanukah, The Real Story, Then and Now

Chanukah is Not The "Jewish Christmas"

Celebrating the 8th Night of Chanukah

The simple fact that the Jewish Holiday of Chanukah and the Christian holiday of Christmas come in the same season get people very mixed up. There is no theological nor historic connection between the two. Nowadays it has become customary to give gifts on both of the holidays, so stores market to both Jews and Christians, and that's it.

The Jewish Holiday of Chanukah celebrates a victory over the Greeks who had not only invaded and occupied the Jewish Historical Land, but they did everything they could to prevent the Jewish People from observing the Jewish Religion.

In modern terminology, the Greek "policy" should be considered immoral and against human, civil and religious rights, but in the shadow of the recent United Nations Security Council Resolution and the outrageous and notorious speech by lame duck Obama's lame duck Secretary of State Kerry, and remembering how the "free world" ignored the Nazi Holocaust against European Jewry...

The Story of Chanukah, which happened only a century or two before the beginning of Christianity, is beginning to sound rather modern.
In the second century BCE, the Holy Land was ruled by the Seleucids (Syrian-Greeks), who tried to force the people of Israel to accept Greek culture and beliefs instead of mitzvah observance and belief in G‑d. Against all odds, a small band of faithful Jews, led by Judah the Maccabee, defeated one of the mightiest armies on earth, drove the Greeks from the land, reclaimed the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and rededicated it to the service of G‑d. (Chabad)
Few Jews fought the Greeks, because many were assimilated. The Maccabees had no allies, no help. It was a miracle that the small band of fighters defeated the mighty Greeks. When things looked black, Gd came in and lit the world. This is so much like the 1967 Six Days War, when small, weak Israel with indefensible borders, was threatened with, destruction, and the United Nations quickly followed Egypt's demands and took away their peacekeeping forces. Then the world patiently watched, expecting the Arab armies to destroy Israel. Jews all over the world prayed for Israel's survival--a victory, and Gd made a miracle.

Yes, those wars were very similar, from the Jewish isolation to the illogical and inexplicable military victory.

There's one big difference. The Maccabees rushed to the Holy Temple and consecrated it as quickly as they possibly could. They recognized that their victory was due to Gd Almighty and not any human prowess. Here in Israel, June 1967, as soon as the proverbial dust began to settle after the State of Israel's great miraculous victory the government, instead of inviting the Jewish Nation to ascend Har Habayit, the Temple Mount and pray together to Gd to thank Him, gave the key back to the Muslims and then thanked the IDF for the victory.

That is why the United Nations, the United States, the European Union etcetera keep insisting that we must give the fruits of that miraculous 1967 victory, including Jerusalem, to the Arab terrorists for a state they want to call Palestine, sic.

Going back to the Chanukah story, the rule of the Maccabees didn't last very long, which is why the Romans ended up here and Christianity began... So, it seems we're still fighting the same war. Gd keeps giving us chances. And now I hope that Prime Minister Netanyahu has gotten sufficiently angry and disgusted enough to recognize that his trying to be a reasonable "Centrist" isn't working. We need a zealot who only tries to please Gd.

Gd willing, speedily in our time...

Two-State Solution, sic, Road to Disaster!

If Donald Trump is elected President of the USA, will he replace John Kerry with Rudy Giuliani?

You'd think that a Reuters photographer would get a better shot of the "Mideast Quartet."
(L to R) High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov gather before a Middle East Quartet... REUTERS/Andrew Kelly
Mideast Quartet warns that Israeli settlements eroding two-state solution
The "Quartet" of Middle East peace mediators said on Friday it was strongly opposed to Israel's ongoing settlement activity, warning that it risked ending the chance of a two-state solution with the Palestinians.
Peace talks, envisaging a Palestinian state in territory Israel captured in a 1967 war, collapsed two years ago after nine months of largely fruitless discussions sponsored by the United States.
The acid political climate between Israelis and Palestinians makes progress unlikely. Both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas showed no signs of a rapprochement during their speeches at the annual U.N. gathering of world leaders.
"The Quartet emphasized its strong opposition to ongoing settlement activity, which is an obstacle to peace, and expressed its grave concern that the acceleration of settlement construction and expansion ... (is) steadily eroding the viability of the two-state solution," the Quartet said in a statement after meeting on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly...
I mention Rudy Giuliani, because of this:
After prepping Trump for debate, Giuliani says US should abandon two-state solution-Jerusalem Post
Newsweek
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said on Saturday night that the United States is opposed to the two-state solution to solve the Israeli-Palestinian Arab conflict.
“The United States should reject the whole notion of a two-state solution in Israel, or maybe it should restate it: It should be a two-state solution when the Palestinian Authority demonstrates that it can be a state, and not a homeland for terrorism,” Giuliani said at the Israeli American Council (IAC) conference in Washington and the crowd responded with applause. (Arutz 7)
credit
But Israel's biggest problem isn't Obama, Kerry, the United Nations or the European Union. It comes from our very own politicians especially with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who keeps on repeating the he supports a Palestinian sic State and even worse that they "deserve a state." It doesn't matter what conditions Bibi insists on before "giving" them a state. Nobody takes him seriously. And nobody would enforce these conditions, and we all know that once the genie's out of the bottle, it can't be returned unless it wants to go in. One thing for sure is that the Arab terrorists do not "deserve" a state. There is no history whatsoever of a "palestinian people," sic. This is all an invention made up to prevent the establishment of a Jewish State in our historic Homeland.

With Yom Kippur just days away, it's time for us all to repent and do everything we can for the security and survival of the State of Israel, and that must start with condemning the drive to establish an Arab state in the traditional historic Homeland of the Jewish People!!!

USA Kerry, Terrorists aren't Misbehaving Innocent Children!!

breitbart
In another one of his proof of idiocy, the United States Secretary of State John Kerry said:
Kerry to the Media: Cover Terrorism Less, So 'People Wouldn't Know What's Going On'
Remember this: No country is immune from terrorism. It’s easy to terrorize. Government and law enforcement have to be correct 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. But if you decide one day you’re going to be a terrorist and you’re willing to kill yourself, you can go out and kill some people. You can make some noise. Perhaps the media would do us all a service if they didn’t cover it quite as much. People wouldn’t know what’s going on. (Applause.)
Again, Kerry shows the world how he misunderstands terrorists. They don't just murder and attack for the attention. It's an act of war, another genre in the military lexicon. That's why it must be fought with force, not words or kindness. And considering the applause that apparently had greeted his statement, many people do agree with him. They are all wrong.

There's a lot of terrorism going on in the world that is being ignored by the media, and it's growing, not shrinking. It's a relatively cheap way to attack one's enemies. It bypasses the super-expensive international military industries.

International media and diplomats have been focusing more on the massive numbers of refugees fleeing parts of the Middle East and Africa but less on the terror they are trying to leave. Those who do the actual terrorizing aren't ogling themselves  and how they look on the media. That isn't what's driving them to murder.

Kerry's request that there would be less terror if the terrorists got less media attention is like the pedagogic principle that one must give more attention for good behavior than bad. Terrorists aren't bullies in nursery schools. They are more like mass-murderers.

Arab Leaders and "Fellow Travelers" Support Terror

I sincerely pray for a refuah shleimah, a full and speedy recovery, to all of the injured in yesterday's Arab terror attack against Jews in Jerusalem. Special prayers for the toddler whose leg was seriously damaged, Yotam Shmuel ben Yael.

Maybe this is deja vu time again, like in the early, mid-1930's when "good" sic people all over the world closed their eyes to the rising antisemitism and systemized murder of Jews in Nazi Germany. All this acceptance and agreement and cooperation with the BDS and the support of Fatah and Hamas and the Arab terror against innocent Israelis bodes bad news for world peace.

American Secretary of State John Kerry is threatening Israel again, claiming that we are the cause of the "impasse" and lack of peace here.
Secretary of State John Kerry
Reuters
Kerry told the magazine that he believes that Israelis headed toward becoming a “unitary state that is an impossible entity to manage” and warned that such a reality would lead to Israel becoming like a “big fortress” and strengthen groups like Hezbollah. (Arutz 7)
Of course he totally leaves out the fact that his buddies in Ramalla support and justify the terror against Israelis, civilians and patrolling soldiers.
Two-thirds of Palestinians support knife attacks: poll

Abbas: Palestinian violence is "justified popular uprising"
Considering all that, how can we expect a "State of Palestine" sic to be a good neighbor to the State of Israel?

The safest place in the Middle East, even especially for Arabs is Israel. There is less violence, better police, the best medical care and social benefits. Whenever the "land trading" idea is raised, Israeli Arabs throw fits, because the very last thing they want to do is to live under an Arab government.

We, Israel have a job to do, and that is to annex all of the Land we hold, full sovereignty in all of the Jordan Valley, Judea, Samaria and the Golan. Make it clear that we are no longer interested in negotiations. There is nothing to negotiate about. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu must apologize to the Israeli public for his support for a "two state solution" meaning a Palestinian state! He must admit that he had been wrong about it. That's the sign of a true Jewish Leader. Like in the Bible when Judah admitted that Tamar was the righteous one, and he had been wrong, which made their descendants into the most suitable to be King, yes David.

Enough with weak politicians running the country. We need true Jewish Leaders!!!

Words, Words, Words, aka LIES!

I think it'll be easier if we're all mentally prepared. Kerry's coming for another of his "visits," and no doubt his speeches will be peppered with lots of "sympathy" and crocodile tears for the Jewish victims of Arab terror.

Since we know that he's just a marionette of Barack Hussein Obama, I don't want to hear that "finally he is saying something good" and other naive responses.

Today's politicians are just actors saying lines. And they'll say whatever they and their handlers think will bring them more votes or better standings in the polls.

And don't forget that Hillary Clinton is really great at pretending she loves Israel and Jews. She's been part of the biggest and most popular faux "lovebirds couple" for about a half a century already. The Bill and Hillary act deserves multiple Oscars.

If Hillary "regrets kissing  Suha Arafat," it's only because the picture hasn't been forgotten. Hillary wants to be President of the USA, and that kiss can lose her votes. As Muslim (Arab Muslim) terrorism spreads all over the world, more and more people are seeing the connection between Arafat's Palestinians and those terrorists attacking Paris, Mali etc.

Please remember that all their speeches from public figures and politicians all over the world are crafted to make people like and respect them. It's all fake. Judge actions, not well rehearsed words.

Kerry and Pollard, Bad Combination

Headlines here in the Israeli and Jewish press mention a lot about United States Secretary of State John Kerry and unprecedentedly long-time Jewish American prisoner Jonathan Jay Pollard. They aren't mixed in the individual headlines, but they're sharing the front pages.

Obama seems to have given Kerry the thankless job of threatening Israel. After the faux reassurances of Obama that his "deal" with Iran wouldn't harm Israel, Kerry has a different message:
Kerry Threatens Israel with Isolation if Iran Deal CollapsesIn an interview to NBC, quoted by Reuters, US Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday said a unilateral Israeli military attack on Iran would be "an enormous mistake," as tension between Jerusalem and Washington continues to rise over the nuclear deal achieved last week between Iran and six world powers. (Jerusalem Online)

And unlike the Esther Pollard camp that has been hinting that they expect Pollard to be released on parole after his thirty 30 years in prison are up, I agree with his ex-wife Anne Henderson Pollard that it does not look good for Pollard's chance of parole," though she sincerely hopes that he'll be released after all these years. Click for interview on Channel 2 with Anne Pollard.
The Pollards’ sentencing took place on March 4, 1987. The prosecutor, in accord with a plea agreement, recommended that Pollard receive “only a substantial number of years in prison,” Judge Aubrey Robinson, Jr., noting that Pollard had violated many conditions of the plea agreement, and citing a damage assessment memorandum from the Secretary of Defense, imposed a life sentence.
Anne Pollard was sentenced to five years, but was paroled after three and a half years over health problems. Jonathan filed for divorce after Anne’s release, saying that since he expected to be jailed for the remainder of his life, he did not want Anne to be bound to him. At the end of her parole period, Anne emigrated to Israel. (Jewish Press)
Especially considering that the Esther Pollard group has consistently mismanaged the case, the chance of Jonathan Pollard being released on parole is poor.

I see a connection between these two issues, Iran and Pollard. My favorite political cartoonist dry bones drew it perfectly in these two cartoons.

Israel would be treated much better aka respected by the United States of we would stop trying to appease them and just do what's best for us. And if/when they complain, just tell them to !!#$%!! it. That's what Cuba, Iran, Syria etc. have done very successfully. And if we had just supported Pollard and demanded his release, he would have been in Israel a long time ago. In all honesty, I don't expect him to come here on his two feet, and I'm not talking about needing a wheelchair.

Obama and His Knockoff Nuclear Treaty With Iran

DESIGNER INSPIRED
VS KNOCKOFF HANDBAGS
The deal that United States President Barack Hussein Obama is promoting is as genuine as those cheap knockoff designer bags on sale in street stands and internet sites.

I'd say that the biggest difference between the American scam and the cheap bags is the marketing. Those who sell the copies usually promote their products as "looks like" the original.

Replicas make no bones about the fact that they aren't the super expensive originals, but just as good for all practical purposes.

Obama and Kerry are not as honest.
"This deal will make America and the world safer and more secure. Still, you're going to hear a lot of overheated and often dishonest arguments about it in the weeks ahead," he said. (Jerusalem Post)
They and their henchmen are promoting their "deal" as if it was the genuine article. There are just too many holes in their "deal."
Analyst Group Calls Out Kerry, Moniz for ‘False Claims’ on ‘Anywhere, Anytime’ Promise“There’s no such thing in arms control as anytime, anywhere. There isn’t any nation in the world – none – that has an anytime, anywhere,” Kerry told CBS’s Face the Nation.
Rather than “anywhere, anytime” inspections, as critics of the deal had hoped for, Iran will apparently be able to delay access to suspicious sites for up to 24 days before sanctions could be re-initiated. (Algemeiner)
It's more like a poorly repainted used car being touted as "just like new." The Obama-Kerry "deal" with Iran will prevent the production of nuclear weapons, just like the dirt and various powders sold by the fake California doctor will cure his patients/customers of cancer.

Iran Nuclear "Deal:" Good News? Bad News? A Scam? or Just Too Late?!

The news is full of reports about the Iranian nuclear development "deal" brokered by the hapless John Kerry, United States Secretary of State. He had been given a very simple assignment by his president Barack Hussein Obama:
Make a deal or else!
And Kerry went off by bike, oops! fell off his bicycle during a break in the negotiations and somehow seems to have found a formula with a bit of everything that everyone wanted.

Sorry, but I don't think there's much to celebrate, because of two things:

German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier (L), French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius (2ndL), Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi (4thL), EU Deputy Secretary General for the External Action Service Helga Schmid (8thL), European Union High Representative for Foreign...
REUTERS/LEONHARD FOEGER

The simple fact that Iran is willing to sign some sort of agreement means that they really want something from the western/developed countries that they won't get otherwise.
The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the U.N. access would be based on consultations between the six powers and Iran under the draft deal, which would impose limits on the Iranian nuclear program in return for economic sanctions relief. Reuters (emphasis mine)
Please read carefully; "limits" does not mean the same as the cessation of the Iranian nuclear program. The bottom line is that there is absolutely nothing to celebrate. Iran will continue developing nuclear weapons in their attempt to destroy the world as we know it, Gd forbid.

Blatant American Interference in Israeli Elections!!

Unlike many, I've never seen the United States governments, especially the State Department, as a true friend of the State of Israel.

Secretary of State John Kerry told a House panel Wednesday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's judgment on talks with Iran "may not be correct."
Carolyn Kaster/AP

I remember very well the diplomatic isolation which Israel suffered during the days leading to the 1967 Six Days War. I remember too well that the United Nations immediately acceded to Egypt's demands that it remove its "peacekeeping" sic forces from the Suez Canal and the silence of the American officials. It was only after Israel's victory that the United States became friendly, but the State Department was always cold at best.

I also remember the totally mean and antagonistic statements from Bush the Elder's administration towards Israel. Some Presidents liked Israel more than others, but true allies they never were. Nixon had dreams of Israel begging for help and becoming a sort of protectorate. He and Kissenger were "helping," both Israel and Egypt during the 1973 Yom Kippur War and had expected a draw where they would be the power to keep the peace. Israel's victory was not their hope.

So now, the Israeli Labor-Livni post-Zionist party is campaigning that Israelis should vote for them, because they know how to keep the United States happy. And the Americans are saying that Bibi has made mistakes and doesn't know all that much.

Obama administration on the offensive against "incorrect," "destructive" prime minister.
Obama loves to blame others, and now all the blame is on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Obama Administration Intensifies Criticism Of Israel's Netanyahu
"He may have a judgment that just may not be correct here," Kerry said at an appearance before a House panel.
He added: "The prime minister was profoundly forward-leaning and outspoken about the importance of invading Iraq under George W. Bush. We all know what happened with that decision."
Kerry, while a U.S. senator, voted for the war in Iraq.
Netanyahu is a staunch opponent of talks with Iran, which Israel views as an existential threat.

Who is to Blame for "Temple Mount Violence?"

Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't understand how anyone can blame Jews for the Arab violence on the Temple Mount.

For a Jew to be permitted to go up to the Temple Mount, he or she must undergo security checks almost as drastic as before taking an airplane. Not only are we checked for weapons, but all of our possessions must be inspected, bit by bit, page by page, to make sure that we don't pray to G-d according to traditional prayers.

Nu?  And then we have guards checking us very carefully, no, not to protect us, but to make sure we don't pray. Nu?

An Israeli soldier watches as foreign activists and Palestinian protesters avoid a tear gas fired by the Israeli army during a protest over tension in Jerusalem, near the West Bank village of Hizma, south-east of Ramallah November 14, 2014. REUTERS/Ammar Awad
  • Arabs have stocks of weapons up on the Temple Mount.
  • Arabs aren't inspected before going up. Arabs can pray, shout and curse us. They also attack the police.
Nu? So why is the world blaming us Israelis, us Jews for the violence?

Why did our Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu agree to go to Amman to listen to the American Secretary of State John Kerry chastise him as if he is a wayward child?
Israel, Palestinians agree to steps to calm Jerusalem tensions, Kerry says
(Reuters) - Israel and the Palestinians have pledged to take concrete steps to calm tensions around Jerusalem's holiest site, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Thursday after talks in the Jordanian capital.
Violence has flared in recent weeks over the compound, revered by Muslims as Noble Sanctuary, where al-Aqsa mosque stands, and by Jews as the Temple Mount, where their biblical temples once stood.
Clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians have raised fears they could trigger a new Palestinian uprising.
All parties had agreed to "specific and practical actions that both sides can take to restore calm," said Kerry, declining to say what those actions were....

Where's the symmetry between us and the Arabs here?  We aren't attacking Arabs. We are the victims!

And why haven't there been protests about the threats to Arabs selling land to Jews?

Sultan Abu Al-'Einein, an adviser to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, says that Palestinians who sell land to Jews should be hung from electric poles. Image: MEMRI Screenshot
During the interview, translated by the Middle East Media and Research Institute (MEMRI,) a snarling Abu Al-’Einein praised the man who attempted to murder Israeli activist Rabbi Yehuda Glick, saying that “the way to fight the Israeli occupation is the way of the martyr Mutaz Hijazi.”
As his voice reached fever pitch, Abu Al-’Einein declared that any Palestinian “who sells even an inch of our Palestinian land must be killed in the streets and hung on an electric pole.” (Algemeiner)
Who are the aggressors here?

And on another note...
I'm glad that the Israeli Foreign Ministry conducted a session for foreign ambassadors explaining and illustrating the Arab violence on the Temple Mount. Read the report on Israel Resource Review.
More than 60 foreign ambassadors and diplomats gathered on Wednesday at the Foreign Ministry for a special briefing held by Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino and Deputy Foreign Minister Tzachi Hanegbi on the escalation of violence in Jerusalem, with a focus on the clashes that have occurred at the Temple Mount....

The USA Officially Promotes Anti-Jewish Apartheid

This shouldn't surprise us, but as part of the official reaction of the United States Government of the attempted assassination of American citizen, Yehuda Yehoshua Ben Rivka Ita Breindel Glick, may he have a refuah shleimah, complete and speedy recovery, here's the text of the United States Government:
The continued commitment by Israelis, Palestinians, and Jordanians to preserve the historic status quo at this holy site is critical; any decisions or actions to change it would be both provocative and dangerous. The Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount must be re-opened to Muslim worshipers... (emphasis mine)
Photo by Yehuda Glick, Shiloh women, including
myself, before we ascended Har Habayit.
Remember, please, that Yehuda Glick, who is now fighting for his life after being shot three times at close range, has dedicated his life to fighting for Jewish rights on Judaism's holiest spot in the world, Har Habayit, the Temple Mount.

  • The Americans claim to be for equal rights for all.
  • The Americans claim to be against apartheid.
  • The Americans claim to be for religious freedom.
  • The Americans claim to be a friend of Israel.

For the American Government to use the attack on Glick to promote a policy that is in total opposition to American values is the epitome of hypocrisy and proof of their antisemitism.

This plus the recent anti-Israel, anti-Bibi “chickenshit” scandal shows true American policy.
But President Obama and his foreign-policy team aren’t just annoyed by the prime minister. They’ve come to view him as public enemy No. 1, using language about him and giving assessments of his policies that are far harsher than they have ever used against even avowed enemies of the United States, let alone one of its closest allies. (Commentary Magazine)
The Israeli Government must pay attention and stop listening to the USA! Nothing we do besides folding up can disappearing will please Obama, Kerry and all.

American Bully-Wimps versus Israeli IDF Veterans

Even Israeli leftist media showed disgust at the American slurs, who's a "chicken?" on our Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Obama and Kerry hate Bibi, because he is what they aren't. He is more intelligent and knowledgeable, and he was a real soldier in the top unit in an army known for its personal bravery. As you know I have plenty of complaints about Netanyahu's policies, but for a foreign government to hurl such immature, gutter-like accusations at a Prime Minister of a country they claim to hold as an ally is the epitome of childish anti-diplomacy.

And for the gazillionth time, the Americans are trying to force Israel to agree to their policy. This is not what negotiating is. The Obama Government is a bunch of dictatorial, fascist bullies, not democratic, respectful allies. They are antisemites. There is no other explanation for such behavior.

Obama/Kerry Should Redefine "Mideast Peace" to Mean Iran, ISIS, etc.

No surprise that United States Secretary of State Kerry is back on his hamster wheel pushing for what he calls "Mideast peace." I wouldn't mind it so much if only he'd redefine the term and focus on the true dangers to world peace in the Middle East and try to fix things there.
REUTERS/MOHAMED ABD EL GHANY
(Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called on Sunday for a renewed commitment to achieving Middle East peace, saying a lasting deal between Israel, the Palestinians and all their neighbors was possible.
But prospects for a renewed peace process appeared dim as Kerry offered no specifics on how to restart negotiations in his speech to a Gaza reconstruction conference that raised more than $5 billion in aid for the Palestinians after a devastating war in the tiny coastal territory...

The problems between Israel and the local Arabs here is far down on the list IMHO. Arabs here have the best health care of any in the world. Israel has developed the infrastructure, electricity, piped water, public transportation, telephone system etc. since 1967 that gives the local Arabs all modern advantages. The P.A. (Palestinian Authority,) elected by the Arabs, is responsible for their municipal needs, so if they have any complaints, their problem.

Now there are urgent "hot spots" in the Middle East that do need fixing, so I would just tweak Kerry's plans a bit and send him off to negotiate the ISIS problem.
An ISIS fighter who goes by the name of Abu Muhammad al-Amriki (the American), was reportedly killed on Sunday, Oct. 12...In the video, the terrorist seems to be describing some sort of weapons double-crossing as the explanation for why he chose to defect to the ISIS terrorist group from a different Syrian terrorist group, Jabhat al Nusra.

The U.S.-led coalition against ISIS has been hitting positions in the area for several days, but it seems to be too little, too late, and Kobane is soon expected to fall to the ISIS genocidal death squad. (Jewish Press)
Iran Police, Israel Behind the News
OK, is ISIS too hard or complicated? Then he should get the nukes out of Iran. Considering that Obama firmly believes that he can trust the Iranians to clean up their nuclear development, I am convinced that he should send it Kerry with a firm order to speed up those talks and transform the Iranians into a "peaceful Muslim country."
Some six weeks before the conclusion of crucial nuclear talks between P5+1 world powers and Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a Twitter feed he is believed to operate, posted a graphic laying out 11 non-negotiable “red lines,” beyond which his country’s negotiators would, presumably, not budge.
“During the past year, Ayatollah Khamenei, in line with his support for the Iranian negotiators, has also stressed on the Iranian nation’s rights and has called it necessary to observe the red lines in the course of the nuclear talks,” the infographic, which was posted on Sunday, said. (Algemeiner)

And here, closer to home, before Obama sics Kerry back on us, he should first clarify the true aims and ideology of the so-called "Palestinians," sic.
PA leaders: Our weapons  are for future wars with IsraelJibril Rajoub:"The weapons of the Resistance must remain in storage... When there is an attack, the battle will be in all the Palestinian territories, in which all members of the Palestinian people will participate" Al-Quds, Oct. 3, 2014 (PMW)

Would U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama really accept such people in his homeland? No, so he should stop supporting them financially and diplomatically!!! And Israel, yes, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, must categorically refuse to participate in the next round of Kerry talks!!!

Too Much Disturbing News About ISIS and Arab Terror Threats

This morning's news sites show how dangers of international Arab ISIS terrorism, Iran etc. just can't be swept under the rug.

One of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's greatest international failures is that he not only never succeeded in convincing the United States of the dangers of Iran, but he did so badly that the USA seems to trust Iran more than it trusts Israel. Obama and Kerry have been begging Iran to talk. They don't treat Iran as a world danger, a pariah, which it should be.

PARIS — The Obama administration is open to talking with Iran on the security crisis in Iraq, Secretary of State John Kerry said on Monday, even after Iran’s supreme leader angrily said Tehran would no longer discuss Middle East issues with the United States...He acknowledged that he had opposed Iran’s attendance, but he stressed that the United States was still prepared to speak with the Iranians about Iraq and Syria, including on the margins of the negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program that will resume in New York on Thursday.
Just because the Iranians were not invited to the conference, Mr. Kerry said, “doesn't mean that we are opposed to the idea of communicating to find out if they will come on board or under what circumstances or whether there is the possibility of a change.”
...The Obama administration has long sought to separate the nuclear talks with Iran from discussions of regional issues, out of concern that Tehran might seek concessions in the nuclear negotiations in return for cooperating on Syria or Iran.
I don't understand how the Americans can disassociate the Iranian nuclear threat to world peace from the character and aims of the Iranian leadership. They're using modern child psychology in dealing with dangerous psychopaths. Modern child psychology tells us to separate the child from his bad actions by saying:
"What you just did was bad."
Instead of saying:
"You are a bad boy."
This may work with young children who are inherently good, but it won't work with Iranians, ISIS and the volunteers/recruits to Arab terrorism. There's an excellent interactive article on the New York Times site about the rise of ISIS. It's worth using one of your limited number of free NYT articles to read it. (If you know of a place it can be accessed freely, please let me know in the comments, thanks.) Here's the opening:
A Rogue State Along Two Rivers
How ISIS Came to Control Large Portions of Syria and Iraq

The militant group called the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria seemed to surprise many American and Iraqi officials with the recent gains it made in its violent campaign to create a new religious state. But the victories achieved in the past few weeks were built on months of maneuvering along the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, which define a region known as the cradle of civilization.
Not only has countries like Turkey proven fertile ground for recruits, but so has Europe and even the United States.
At least three Somali families in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area have female relatives who have gone missing in the past six weeks and may have tried to join Islamic State, said community leader Abdirizak Bihi. He said that while the reasons for their disappearance were unclear, he had told the families to contact police.
Not long ago, I watched a very panicky news report on television about how shocked the British are that the ISIS be-headers had good middle-class British accents. We must remember that many of the worst and most brutal terrorists are educated.

I remember, haven't forgotten how the media was so certain that since Bashar Hafez al-Assad was a doctor in England, he'd be more humane and reform Syria. But the truth is that he became just like his father, if not worse. Please don't ignore/forget his use of chemical weapons against civilians, as if it's humane to use them against militarily.

Depressing, isn't it? There aren't any world leaders willing and able to do what must be done.

Faux Peace and Deceptive Euphemisms Won't Stop a Real War

We're being suckered again! This latest ad nauseum ceasefire will not lead to true peace or a safer Israel. Aspirin is useless against cancer, too.

There is absolutely nothing in this latest ceasefire and proposed deal that is good for Israel.
The following statement by Secretary of State John Kerry has NOTHING CLOSE TO THE EU call.
Mr. Kerry talks of reconstruction but “peace and security, without terrorist attacks, without rockets, without tunnels” is relegated to “the next phase”…”future of the region”…”long term solution for Gaza”.  (IMRA's Dr. Aaron Lerner, Israel Behind the News)We strongly support today’s cease-fire agreement, and call on all parties to fully and completely comply with its terms. We hope very much that this cease-fire will prove to be durable and sustainable, that it will put an end to rocket and mortar attacks, and that it will help to bring about an enduring end to the conflict in Gaza.
As soon as calm is restored, the delivery of urgently needed humanitarian assistance to the people in Gaza must be accelerated, and the United States and the international community are fully committed to supporting this effort. We are also prepared to work with our international partners on a major reconstruction initiative, with appropriate measures in place to ensure that this is for the benefit of the civilian population in Gaza, not Hamas and other terrorist organizations. We look forward to coordinating closely with President Abbas and the Palestinian Authority on these critical efforts... (U.S. Press statement)
There is absolutely nothing for Israel's security in this American document. The opening paragraph states the U.S.'s priorities and understanding of what has been happening all summer. The fact that this Arab Hamas anti-Israel terror campaign of rocket and mortar attacks which have killed Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers is called "the conflict in Gaza" makes it super clear that according to Obama and Kerry, we Israelis are at fault. For that alone, Israel should have ripped the papers and walked out.

I'm far from the front-lines or targeted areas here in Shiloh, but I know that with every "ceasefire" the terrorists improve their deadly weaponry and targeting accuracy and distance. One doesn't need to be a top general or security expert to understand that the Hamas Arab terrorists based in Gaza and fully supported by their Fatah allies in Ramalla are out to destroy, decimate the State of Israel and murder all of us Israeli Jews and any Arab they think has supported us. Making any sort of "deal" with them is only going to endanger Israel even more.

Yesterday, as Shiloh's Chief Rabbi Elchanan Bin-Nun finished his talk he left us with what he considers to be an important message. The misreading of the pre-Yom Kippur 1973 situation and our lack of preparedness caused many Israelis to lose faith in the government. That was forty-one years ago, and the process has continued. I think that this summer's war, which hasn't yet ended, is continuing and spread that lack of trust in government decisions and policies.

Many people have pointed out that, davka, the populations now being targeted by Hamas are those that had supported Disengagement most strongly and had jeered those of us who were protesting it. The big question is whether they are willing to admit their terrible mistake, apologize, repent and now change their politics.  G-d willing...

Deja Vu, 1973, Israel Must be Winning if The USA Wants Ceasefire

The 1973 Yom Kippur War should have been a major wake-up call to the State of Israel that its new friend and ally, the United States of America, wasn't very reliable.
"New friend and ally?" Some of you may be asking.
Yes, Israel had no allies six years earlier when it fought for its very existance there were no diplomatic military allies. Israel did it alone and did a great job of it. We defeated three Arab armies in six days, and in the process we liberated Land that made the impossible to defend 1949 ceasefire lines history.

1949 "Green Line"

Suddenly, fragile little Israel became a "super power." And suddenly we had defensible borders which included all of Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, the Jordan Valley, the Golan and the Sinai including Gaza. Unfortunately government and IDF leaders believed the hype and thought us invincible. And suddenly instead of being ignored on the international diplomatic front, we had "friends," like the USA.

Israel signed treaties with America that were supposed to guarantee us vital information, like warning before a country attacked us. Somehow the Americans forgot that in October, 1973, and Israel was not only caught flat-footed, but fasting on Yom Kippur when Syria and Egypt coordinated a surprise attack.

Unfortunately Stupidly Israel was lulled into a false security by the US, because its Secretary of State was a Jew, Henry Kissinger, and it never occurred to Israel's leaders that "one of us" couldn't be trusted to put Israel's needs first.

Looking back, and please don't forget that I was living in Jerusalem at the time, it seems pretty clear to me that the USA had a plan to make Israel totally dependent on it, a protectorate. So, the Americans, led by its President Nixon and Jewish-AMERICAN Kissinger expected Israel to need them to survive. They "stood by" and didn't push for a ceasefire until Israel got the upper-hand against Egypt.  Then, all of a sudden, not earlier when Israel was struggling, did the Americans push for a ceasefire.

And here we go again. Israel has been bombarded with dangerous enemy rockets, missiles weapons for the longest time. Due to the brilliance of the Israeli military industry, the invention of the Iron Dome and the mericful siyate d'Shmaya, Hand of G-d, damage has been relatively minimal.

This does not mean that we haven't been in mortal danger.

All the while that Israel remained silent and tried to live with the attacks, the world, yes including American Obama, Kerry and co., was silent. Now United States President Barack Hussein Obama has sent his Secretary of State Kerry to the Middle East to push for a ceasefire. The "good news" in that must be that the Hamas Gazan Arab terrorists must be hurting. They don't care that their civilians who protect the military installations or the United Nations building that are used for missile/weapons storage have been hit. What seems to have them most upset is that the sophisticated network of tunnels leading from schools and hospitals into Israeli CIVILIAN communities have been discovered and are being destroyed.  Thank G-d for the skills and competence of the IDF.

Now is not the time to stop. We must finish the job, לסיים את המסימה lisayyem et hamissima! And we must stop taking American and other foreign advice.

The Gazan Arab Hamas terrorists couldn't have built those tunnels, rockets and missile-launchers without foreign help. We can't trust anyone other than ourselves.

We have the power with the Help of G-d, like in 1967, and we must use it with confidence, G-d willing.

Keep Kerry Away; We have Work to Do!

The United States Secretary of State, that loose-lipped John Kerry* is on his way here to push for an immediate ceasefire, which is the last thing Israel needs. The only thing Israel needs now is to totally destroy the network of terrorist tunnels that have been discovered leading from Gaza to Israeli border towns.

The IDF has uncovered over 20 terror tunnels in Gaza since beginning the ground operation last week. These tunnels can be used to infiltrate Israeli territory and carry out attacks on Israel’s civilians.  Stand for Israel
We can't afford to stop destroying the tunnels until the job is complete. They seriously endanger not only the communities that are affected, but the security of the entire State of Israel. The Gazan Arab terrorists have been constructing a very sophisticated network of underground military infrastructure, bunkers, tunnels and storage areas.
*The secretary of state, John Kerry, on Sunday appeared to criticise Israel’s claims about the targeted scope of its attacks on Gaza, as a open microphone caught him talking to an aide ahead of a TV interview.“It’s a hell of a pinpoint operation, it’s a hell of a pinpoint operation,” Kerry, who was appearing on Fox News Sunday as part of a tour of all five main US talkshows, said to an aide on the phone, in a frustrated tone.
Earlier, speaking on CNN, the Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, said Israel’s response to rocket attacks from Gaza had been “very measured and trying to be as pinpointed as we can”.
“What choice do we have?” Netanyahu said. “We have to protect ourselves. We try to target the rocketeers, we do. And all civilian casualties are not intended by us but actually intended by Hamas who want to pile up as many civilian dead as they can because somebody said they use telegenically dead Palestinians for the cause. They want the more dead the better.” (theguardian)
The responsibility of the State of Israel is to protect Israelis, not to protect enemy civilians!

If "The Settlements" sic are The Problem, Why are The Arabs Attacking Tel Aviv?

Yes, that's one of my typically dumb questions.

A quick reading of the news shows that the Gazan Arab terrorists are, davka, targeting areas in Israel which aren't "under contention," or "disputed." Those terms are popular with people trying to be objective about Judea and Samaria.

If I had a dollar for every-time a world leader, whether United States President Barack Hussein Obama, his Secretary of State John Kerry, the former U.S. Presidents Bush, Britain's former Prime Minister Blair, or United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon ad nauseum (etc) blamed communities like my hometown Shiloh for the "tension" and violence, I'd be a millionaire already.

If you're carefully following the news, you'd know that this year's war (there seems to be one almost every year) the Arab terrorist aim is to hit Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
An Iron Dome battery intercepted the incoming rocket over Tel Aviv. Hamas announced it had fired four M-75 rockets at the capital. Two loud thuds were heard in downtown Jerusalem shortly after the rocket warning siren went off at 9:56 p.m. Thousands of residents entered bomb shelters, while others remained outside and in cafés.
Many of us have been following the pattern of these attacks for a number of years, and you don't have to be a military expert or major-general to see that the Arab terrorists keep on improving their missiles and launchers. Each time their reach is further and further. No longer can people in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem just tsk tsk the unfortunate residents of Sderot, Ashekelon and the agricultural villages in Israel's south. The Arabs have unfortunately, and most probably with European and American money improved their weapons.
Intel updates Hamas and PIJ have an arsenal of 400 long range missiles 4 times bigger than estimated. 30-40 destroyed by IAF & 40 used.

Watch the Arabs on Har HaBayit, Temple Mount, celebrating the missile attacks on Israel.

There is a very simple reason for this. The Arabs want to destroy the State of Israel. That is why they are targeting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, the country's two most important cities.
  • We will not have true peace until we officially admit that simple truth that the Arabs do not want peace with The State of Israel.
  • Every peace offer Israel makes to the Arabs just get them angrier and whets their appetite for war and destruction.
  • The American brokered "peace negotiations" for the establishment of a Palestinian State (G-d forbid) is the cause of the recent escalation of attacks by the Arabs. Read the excellent article on Tablet by Lee Smith.
  • Arabs see a Palestinian state as a replacement for the State of Israel, so for them its establishment would herald the beginning of the end for us, G-d forbid.
This shouldn't be too hard to explain, if only the Israeli Government would stop the fairy tale that we can live in peace with the Arabs and the "two state solution" is the way.
