Israel Attacked by Hamas 2023/5784, War Musings #8 ISRAEL Must Be The One Country Between The River and The Sea!

How did the "Two State Solution" morph into a a policy that demands only one, Gd forbid, the terror state of Palestine sic?

The catchy rhyming slogan "From the River to the Sea Palestine Will be Free" is an innocent sounding euphemism for the destruction, Gd forbid, of the State of Israel

It's time for all those who have been promoting a Palestinian sic state to exist peacefully next to the State of Israel to finally admit to themselves that such a situation is a total impossibility. They've been lying to themselves, Israelis and foreigners alike.

How did the State of Israel get into such a mess? Even our faux Right wing prime minister, Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu publicly drank the Kool-Aid, as the saying goes. I'm impatiently waiting to hear admissions by our politicians, leaders, foreigners, too, that they made a BIG MISTAKE. Unfortunately, naiveté and stupidity are very closely connected.

About the United States, historically, if you follow policy, not speeches, you'd find that the State Department, which is eternal, though presidents come and go, has always been anti-Israel. Truman vetoed, overrode its instructions when he insisted that the USA vote "yes" for a State of Israel in the United Nations and then quickly recognized it. The Nixon-Kissinger scheming during/before the Yom Kippur War is explained very clearly in Bruce Brill's Deceit of an Ally

Biden speaks with "forked tongue," as hypocrites and liars were called in old cowboy and indian movies. He's making suicidal demands on Israel, and I hope Bibi uses his IQ to realize that he's being conned. In the meantime, as long as Israel listens to the USA, we're in increasing danger.

I suggest you do some research and try to find Arab leaders who have officially promoted the "Two State Solution" in Arabic. Have any tried to promote this to other Arabs? Have any accepted the various Two State Peace sic proposals offered?

***

Yesterday the Jerusalem Post published a letter I wrote to them which, davka, gives the key to how that nice mushy liberal-sounding policy evolved into an innocently sounding rhyme which actually demands the destruction, Gd for bid, of the State of Israel.

Over Shabbat, I read a week of The Jerusalem Post, something I find myself doing most weeks lately. Pretty much every day, there’s an article about what’s happening in American universities. One article mentions an Arab student who says that she wears earrings in the shape of a “map of ancient Palestine,” and she was almost brought to tears because of the negative reactions of Jewish students.

Too bad we couldn’t see the earrings, since there was never an ancient Palestine as a country with its own leadership and government.

I hope that you, Jerusalem Post writers and editors, have been paying attention to the fact that the Arabs aren’t asking for a “two-state solution.” They want “from the river to the sea,” in other words that Israel will cease to be.

Following the Six Day War in 1967, Israel did not use Jewish biblical names for any of the land liberated in the war. It was clear that – hoping for peace in exchange for land – Golda Meir, who served as prime minister from 1969 to 1974, along with her cabinet didn’t want ownership/sovereignty. Instead they referred to “the West Bank,” “shtachim” (“territories”), and “east Jerusalem,” similar to East and West Berlin.

The fact is that to this day, despite the light rail which travels through all sorts of Jerusalem neighborhoods, the unification of Jerusalem is one-sided. Arabs can freely enter, work, shop, even live in Jewish neighborhoods, while Jews are kept out of Arab neighborhoods.

Now, Diaspora Jews and Israelis seem caught by surprise by the massive pro-Hamas “from the river to the sea” demonstrations all over the world.

Since 1967, our leaders have been playing by the wrong rules. By not using our traditional names for the land liberated in 1967 and deciding not to keep God’s gift for us, they’ve told the world that the land isn’t ours. It’s all in the name. Fixing this mistake won’t be easy, but it must be done.

I must admit that the letters editor did edit my letter quite a bit, which hadn't been written as tightly as it should have been.

Please think about the points I've made.

It's important to make it clear that being in favor of a Palestinian state is the same as being in favor of the destruction of the State of Israel, Gd forbid. The evil genie is out of the bottle... The Hamas Arabs are unabashedly showing their true stripes.

I'm interested in your opinions, and please share this post, thanks.

Apartheid, The Basis for "Two State" Solution

Looking east from Shiloh, which has a very long and well-documented Jewish History, though people all over the world want it Judenrein, clean of Jews.

Read this New Yorker interview with Michael Oren, former Israeli Ambassador to the United States, by Isaac Chotiner to get to the nitty gritty of "anti-settlement" pro-Apartheid vs Jews world view and their worship of the "Two State" solution. In Oren's favor, I must say that he seems to be evolving Rightwards in terms of policy/ideology.

When Michael Oren was first appointed as Israel's Ambassador to the USA, lots of people were concerned about his Leftist reputation, but he did well. In the New Yorker interview he didn't go far enough, as far as I'm concerned. I would have liked for him to out and out call Isaac Chotiner pro-apartheid and anti-Jewish/antisemitic. Oren wimped out; instead he just ended the interview and hung up on Chotiner.

I have a strong feeling that Chotiner hasn't a clue that he came out sounding anti-Jewish, pro-Apartheid. Oren had requested that the interview be scrapped, if I understood him correctly. If I'm not mistaken, Chotiner just edited the transcription of the interview, in which he said some ridiculous things, and Oren tried to show him his hypocrisy. I guess that Oren wanted it scrapped, because he was understandably wary about what Chotiner could do with it as an article. B"H, Chotiner chose a format that allowed Oren's words to appear without much change.

What's most disturbing to me about the interview is that Chotiner seems totally oblivious to his pro-apartheid antisemitic ideology/position. This is so typical of those who promote the so-called Palestinians. They endorse as an acceptable requirement that Jews be banned from "Palestine," and they don't think it immoral that Jews are banned from quite a number of Arab countries. For some inexplicable reason they don't see the banning of Jews as apartheid.

It's too bad that Michael Oren wasn't willing to confront Isaac Chotiner with the truth. That would have brought the interview to a much higher level. Oren should have recorded it, continued it making the truth clear and of course publicize it.

Jews are being discriminated against, and hypocrisy rules the media, diplomacy, universities etc.

US Kushner-Greenblatt "Peace Plan" Dangerous Lala Land

I was going to title this:
US Kushner-Greenblatt can take their "Peace Plan" and...
But I was afraid that the "internet police" would find it offensive. Honestly, I find all these so-called Peace Plans sic worse than offensive and foolish. They are dangerous and only encourage the Arab terrorists to murder more Jews.

Whoever keeps on trying to negotiate with and coddle the PA Arabs, whether Fatah or Hamas, is just following in the footsteps of Neville Chamberlain. Chamberlain's Appeasement policy and so-called "Peace" agreement with Hitler strengthened Hitler and endangered Europe and Great Britain in one foolish/mistaken stroke.

I hate watching  people who should know much better insist on lying to us and themselves. There is no way to make true  peace with people who not only want us dead and gone, but they support and idolize terrorism against us.

The only way to encourage peace is for us to be stronger and declare ZERO TOLERANCE OF TERRORISM. All Arab terrorists caught in the act are to be immediately executed. And the Death Sentence for convicted Arab terrorists must be mandatory, whether male, female, young or old.

Arab terrorists who try to invade Israel must be shot on the spot. That's the only language they understand.

Peace will take generations, but life will gradually be safer if the policies I listed are followed.

There are many Arabs who prefer living in peace with us, but present policies make their lives dangerous. They, too, are attacked by Arab terrorists.

The world would be better off if Kushner and Greenblatt stop their "peace talk" and condemn all Arab terrorism.

The Unthinkable is Happening in The USA

This is a sad post. What I must write is not something I had ever imagined could happen in the United States of America, the USA. It's no longer Jew friendly.

Read carefully, please. I'm not saying that the USA is like Nazi Germany in the mid-late 1930's, but today unabashed antisemites* and those who support the destruction of the State of Israel have now been easily elected to the United States Congress as Democrats. The media is publishing and broadcasting even their most antisemitic statements and policies.

all Photos all by me, Batya Medad when accompanying a Nefesh B'Nefesh flight from JFK International Airport to Israel over a decade ago

I find it most frightening that as smart as Jews are supposed to be, too many can't connect the dots.  The Democratic Party has gone far Left and supports a Palestinian State over the State of Israel. This has not stopped the majority of American Jews from supporting the Democratic party and its candidates. American Jewry still professes support for Israel, but they refuse to see that their support for a "State of Palestine" means the destruction of the Jewish State.

The Arabs who would govern "Palestine" are unabashedly pro terror against Jews and Israelis. Their envisioned country would be  Judenrein, cleansed of Jews. These policies won't change one iota if those Arabs had a state.

At present, convicted and jailed Arab terrorists and their families get payments from the PA-Palestinian Authority. They are also lauded as brave heroes to be idolized. Children are taught in their schools to follow those terrorists, even if it leads to death.

So, honestly, how can anyone claim to support Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian State?

In the past, American public officials would claim support for Israel at the same time that they promoted "Palestine." In the newly elected Congress, there are members who don't even bother with that carefully worded preface. They accuse Israel of being immoral and propose reducing or totally stopping all support and aid to Israel. They said this while campaigning and beforehand.

You can check it in all the news sites. I can't bear to quote them on my blog.

I have two requests:

  1. Americans, please connect the dots. Recognize that support for Palestine means the destruction of the State of Israel. There can never be a Two State Solution, sic. Palestine=terror and instability for the region and the world.
  2. American Jews, your welcome mat in the USA is badly ripped and won't be replaced or repaired all that soon. It's time to move again. I suggest moving to Israel for many reasons. Contact Nefesh B'Nefesh to consult with them.

*And please don't give me the double-talk about Arabs being semites, so an Arab or pro-Arab can't be anti semitic. I specifically wrote the term antisemite as one word which means "The hatred of Jews; an antisemite is one who promotes policies discriminating and/or endangering Jews and Jewish life."

Sovereignty Now!

Here in Israel we've been living in a dangerous absurdity for over fifty 50 years.

In June, 1967, against all odds and predictions, not only did the State of Israel survive the war which began with vicious threats of annihilation from Egypt's Gamal Nasser, who had galvanized the Arab world and easily got the United Nations to withdraw its Peacekeeping Forces, but when the dust settled after battles on three fronts, lasting less than a week, Israel was victorious.

In all honesty, to say that "Israel was victorious" is an understatement. Not only did the State of Israel defeat the three neighboring countries which had attacked, Egypt, Syria and Jordan, but the IDF Israel Defense Forces liberated land on all three fronts.

On the Egyptian front, the unpopulated Sinai desert and Gaza fell into Israeli hands, as the Egyptian soldiers rapidly fled back to Egypt. On the northern front with Syria, Israel succeeded in pushing the Syrians out of the Golan Heights, which has drastically improved the security of northern Israel, most notably the agricultural communities which had suffered greatly from Syrian attacks over the years. And most significant was that Jordan lost what they had referred to as the "west bank," land they had illegally occupied and didn't develop since the 1949 ceasefire. In the UN Partition Plan, that area was supposed to be an additional invented* Arab state.

Davka, the land liberated from Jordan is the Biblical Land of Israel, where most of Ancient Jewish History had taken place. Besides Beersheva, which Israel has held and developed since the establishment of the State of of Israel, the other main Biblical cities, Shechem, Hebron, Shiloh and Walled Jerusalem were all liberated from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in June, 1967.

For some inexplicable, fokokt reason, instead of annexing and declaring full sovereignty over all of that miraculously liberated Land, like any normal country would do, Israeli leaders decided to hold it to use as "payment" for "peace" with our enemies. On the whole, our enemies haven't taken the bribe.

Egypt, under Nasser's successor Sadaat, did accept the Sinai sans Gaza in exchange for what could be called a "cold peace." The price for Israel was extremely high, since it involved the destruction of Jewish communities and the forced exile of their Jewish residents.

The Golan, where there are many Jewish communities, can't be given away without endangering northern Israel. And considering the instability and violence in Syria, the truth is that not even the Arabs in the area really want change.

For some totally mystifying reason, Israeli politicians have been claiming that it's possible to allow a "State of Palestine," sic to established in some of Judea Samaria without causing danger to the State of Israel and the Jewish communities which would be "permitted" to remain. This questionable policy, which is now supported by people all over the world, has caused a dangerous instability and uncertainty among the local Arabs. It has davka pushed them into allying with Arab terrorists. That's because  it's clear to them that if Israel, Gd forbid, leaves, the terrorists will rule.

Sorry Charlie, as the saying goes, but without a strong Israeli presence, not only will Arab terror rage and rule, but the State of Israel would be in serious danger. And obviously, Israel can't buy peace for Land.

The only way we can start on the road to peace is by imposing Israeli Sovereignty on all of the Land Israel controls, including what had been given to the PA-Palestinian Authority.

Sovereignty Now!

Shiloh, Israel
This is my new facebook cover photo, which I produced for 52Frames "Hello From..." challenge. Following is what I wrote:
"Shiloh, Israel"
One of the downsides of being a longtime member of 52Frames is finding a new angle to this challenge. That's why instead of using a picture I took of our iconic Tabernacle Synagogue, based on the Biblical Tabernacle which stood here in Shiloh for almost four hundred years, or the area of the Biblical Shiloh, I looked for a different view. I shot east from the archeological site, but I wasn't fully satisfied with the photo. Then today I was in Jerusalem and photographed an Israeli flag, flying outside a store. Yes, I used the double exposure tool in snapseed to combine a picture of western Shiloh with an Israeli flag. It may be kitschy, but I like it. Sometimes patriotism is kitschy at times, but it's not a crime. Modern Shiloh is celebrating forty-one years this week, perfect timing.
*To this day, there has never been a history of unity, peoplehood among those Arabs living west of the Jordan river. To be perfectly honest, until Great Britain brought the Hashemites in to occupy and rule Transjordan, east of the Jordan River, there had never been an independent country, society, culture, people etc there either.

Two 2 State "Solution" Oxymoron

The meaning of the word Oxymoron:
a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect
Since two states aren't a solution to the violence here between the Arabs and Israel, the "Two 2 State Solution is an Oxymoron for sure.

Our Arab enemies, the terrorists, the PA-Palestinian Authority etcetera all reject the continued viable existence of the State of Israel, it's clear that giving them a state will only cause more wars, terrorism and bloodshed. Taking that simple basic fact into account, then it's clear that according to the basic Arab aim, there can never be peace, a solution, with two states, one Israel and one Palestine. I don't even think that there can be two peaceful states if they are Jordan and Palestine. And don't forget that Jordan practices ethnic cleansing, apartheid against Jews. Besides Israeli tourists, who are very restricted, foreigners who don't admit to be Jewish and the Israeli diplomats, you're not going to find many or any Jews in Jordan.

And the Hashemite rulers/occupiers of Transjordan aka Jordan aren't at all enthusiastic about giving the so-called Palestinians more authority, weapons, recognition a "state," because that struggling kingdom has been threatened by the same Arab terrorists who terrorize Israel.

For decades, various international leaders, NGOs etc have been trying to succeed in facilitating a negotiated "peace deal" between Israel and the so-called Palestinians. Sometimes they "help" by offering very detailed suggestions. Various Israeli leaders have even offered to endanger the State of Israel for the "chance" of "peace." But the Arabs just up their demands.

That's because the Arabs prefer their cushy well-paid terrorism. The UN, EU and number NGOs and foreign countries support them very generously. Those Arabs aren't a people nor a nation; they're just in it for the money.

Let the Flag of the State of Israel wave in freedom and security, Gd willing!

Trump/Kushner Falling Into "Palestine Peace" Trap

As disappointed as I am in the Trump/Kushner attempts to describe the Arab terrorist instigator and supporter Mahmoud Abbas as a peace sic partner, we mustn't forget that US President Trump did recognize Jerusalem as Israel's Capital City and moved the American Embassy to there, even if it wasn't much more than a sign change.
KUSHNER: U.S. PLAN WILL BE PUBLIC IF ABBAS DOESN'T ‘COME BACK TO THE TABLE'
US envoy’s message to Palestinians: ‘Don’t allow your grandfather’s conflict to determine your children’s future’.
This talk reminds me too much of modern child-raising instructions. When a child's behavior is cruel nowadays you're not supposed to tell the kid that he/she is bad when he does it. You're supposed to tell him/her that he/she is good but "confused" or made a "mistake."

At no point has Mahmoud Abbas shown any sign that he wants peace with Israel. His administration of the PA-Palestinian Authority supports Arab terror by giving salaries/pensions to convicted terrorists and their families. Relations between Israel and the Arabs have only gotten worse under his administration. I saw that very clearly during the six years I worked in Yafiz, Sha'ar Binyamin. During the first few years, Arabs came in great numbers to shop in Yafiz Clothing Store. There were even group shopping trips during which the Arabs bought lots of products in Yafiz and Rami Levi. Arab tourists, businessmen and visiting family members would stock up on our clothes. We had very friendly relations with Arab customers, especially the wives of UN and NGO officials based in Ramalla. But that ended about four years ago when PA Police began threatening our customers and confiscating their purchases.

Much earlier on Trump said that he wouldn't impose a "peace" agreement on Israel and the Arabs, but now he's planning something of the sort. This is a major error. Trump should stop the project, because it won't be successful. It won't bring peace. It will just encourage more terrorism against Israel and Jews.

Two State "Solution," Dead or Hibernating?

Note that in the title and here, I put the word "solution" in quotation marks. That's because I don't see that "two states" would be a "solution" to the "conflict in the Middle East." The use of quotation marks indicates that I'm "distancing myself" from the words, because I consider it inaccurate. For added emphasis "solution" also is italicized.

Just a little history...
  • There is absolutely no history of a group of people called Palestine.
  • Only one people/nation ever had an independent country kingdom in this part of the world, the Jewish People.
  • Many invaders occupied this part of the middle east, and other times it was leaderless, stateless.
  • In its two thousand years of exile from The Land, the Jewish People still focused on returning. Jewish Prayers, Holidays, theology and Bible are all centered on The Land of Israel.
The Arabs who have been named as Palestinian have no unified history. They are just united in their support for terrorism against Jews and Israel. They also don't really want to be responsible for their own independent state, or they would have been happy to negotiate with Israel and come to some sort of agreement. Over the decades, they've been offered fantastic conditions, including plenty of land and financial backing, but they've always refused.

An independent country requires taking responsibility for one's population, and the terrorists prefer to continue their corrupt ways.

And now, finally even some international leaders, media, etc. are finally seeing the turth, though they've come to it in rather confused and peculiar ways:
Donald Trump has ruined any chance of a two-state solution in the Israel-Palestine conflict – and the American public knows it

GUEST POST: Basic Middle East Facts

Basic Middle East Facts
(a guest post by Mr. Cohen)
--------------------------------------

Israel is the ONLY real democracy in the entire Middle East,
and the most pro-American country in the entire Middle East.

The other countries in the Middle East are brutal dictatorships,
with: no free press, no freedom of religion, no real elections,
few rights for women, and are jam-packed with: illiteracy,
racism, anti-Semitism, hate for women, and hate for America.

Total number of Muslim nations: 57

Total number of Arab nations: 22
(with total land area 350 times the size of Israel)

Total number of Jewish nations: 1
(65% the size of New Jersey, one of the smallest states)

If a Palestinian State were created, it would be
the 58th Muslim country and the 23rd Arab country.

Israel’s “West Bank” has been an almost-completely-self-governing
Palestinian area since 1995. The same is true of Gaza since 2004.

Last but not least, Jordan (an Arab nation more than three times
the size of Israel) was part of the British Mandatory Palestine,
and was originally intended to be part of the Jewish homeland.

Jordan ** IS ** Palestine. In year 1970, Yassir Arafat’s
Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) attempted to take
control of Jordan, because they recognized that Jordan is Palestine.

In 1978, Shimon Peres told Menachem Begin:
"Jordan is also Palestine".

For many years, the Catholic Church refused to recognize both
Israel and Jordan, because both countries are the Biblical “Holy Land”.

President Ronald Reagan said this in year 1980:
“Israel and Jordan are the two Palestinian states envisioned
and authorized by the United Nations. Jordan is now recognized
in some 80 per cent of the old territory of Palestine…”
SOURCE:

CONCLUSION:
The Palestinians already have a state: It is called Jordan.
Jordan is more than three times the size of Israel.
Gaza and the West Bank are de facto Palestinian States,
therefore the Palestinians already have three states.

Now for a rarely-discussed, but very important
Basic Middle East Fact:

Harvard Law Professor Alan M. Dershowitz said:

“…if Israel’s military power were ever to be diminished
to the point that the combined armies of the Arab world
could defeat it, I believe there would be another Holocaust.

No Arab dictator who could defeat Israel and forebore
from doing so would survive the continuing frenzy for
jihad [Islamic holy war against non-Muslims].

And an Arab military victory over Israel – unlike the
Israeli victories over the Arabs – would not result in
a mere occupation or even detention of Israeli Jews.

It would result in a mass slaughter, designed to rid
Arab holy land of Jewish intruders. Most Jews
know this, though they rarely speak of it openly.

But then again, most Jews did not speak openly
about the Holocaust before it happened, while it
was happening, or for several years after it was over.”

Bolton, Groan, Keep Him Out of Israel

I know that many people on the Right here in Israel are happy that Ambassador John Bolton was appointed National Security Advisor by US President Donald Trump, but I'm not. Less than a year ago I heard Bolton speak, and I was even less than unimpressed.
Ambassador Bolton’s “3 State” Peace Proposal, Nonsensical
Ambassador Bolton addressing the Ingeborg Rennert Center's Guardian of Zion Award dinner, May, 2017

In all honesty, Bolton's grasp of the situation here in Israel vis-à-vis our Arab enemies showed real ignorance and as much unrealistic dreaming as the Loony Left.

Let me make it clear that there is chance of true Peace until the Arabs want it, and that seems very far away. When I say "far away," I mean a century or more. Redrawing borders or inventing new countries will not "solve the problem" or pacify the Arab terrorists.

Israel's problem/enemy is with terrorists, terrorist culture and mentality. Arabs, with the full support of the United Nations, European Union and innumerable NGOs, are still educating their youth to idealize terror, murder and death. And this isn't only here in the Middle East. Look at what has been happening in other countries, like France.

To be honest, I'm not at all optimistic.

Good Luck World!

"Peace" in the Middle East? Not With Such a History

There's a better chance to find Martians who can learn English than a possibility for a real lasting peace between Israel and its enemies.

Anyone who claims that there can be peace is talking total fiction. The main uniting ideology among the Arab countries surrounding the State of Israel and those even further away is our destruction. They're not even shy about it. And this anti-Israel hate/ideology is all over the world.

Even in the United States there are periodic pro-Palestine, sic, demonstrations in which the theme is:
"from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free"

You don't have to be a rocket scientist, or a PhD in geography to know that such a country would mean the total destruction of the State of Israel, Gd forbid. There is no room for a Jewish State or even Jews in their dream world.

Unfortunately, the International Liberals, including the American Democratic Party, have adopted this very unliberal cause, which supports anti-Jewish apartheid and Nazi-like laws.

Never in the History of the World has there been a country or people named "Palestine." It was a name on maps when antisemites wanted to replace the Jewish Judea with something else. The concept of an "Arab Palestine" was invented to stymie/handicap a Jewish state, which Great Britain had been mandated to establish by the League of Nations. Britain cut off the large area east of the Jordan River and imported the Hashemite Clan to rule it. That was the invention of Jordan and the newly minted "Hashemite Kingdom." To be honest/exact, the Hashemites are occupying the East Bank of the Jordan River.

After the invention of Jordan, it was expected that Britain would facilitate a Jewish State in the remaining areas, but they didn't. Instead they gave support to the Arab terrorists against the Jews living, building and farming. After World War Two, the United Nations came up with a "plan" to allocate a totally indefensible Jewish State surrounded by Arabs who would become "Palestine."

Then after the Declaration of the State of Israel, May, 1948, well-armed Arabs attacked the Jews, but miraculously, not only did the State of Israel survive, but its borders were slightly improved. Land not under Israel's control became illegally occupied by Jordan. This occupation wasn't recognized by most nations. Jordan did nothing to modernize life for the residents.

Before the 1967 Six Days War, there was talk of trying to turn that area into something to be called "Palestine," but the world wasn't interested. At the same time the State of Israel suffered frequent terror attacks from Jordanian soldiers and others. In May, 1967, virulently anti-Israel statements were addressed to the world by Egypt including threats to totally destroy the State of Israel and push it "into the sea." The world didn't care about that, either. The United Nations even removed its peacekeeping forces to facilitate an Egyptian victory.

As everyone knows, not only did Israel survive that war, but by the time it was over, Israel had liberated all of the Land "from the river to the sea," plus the Sinai and the Golan Heights.

Post-war, the State of Israel made an awful mistake. It tried to make peace instead of annexing all the land legally won and showing strength.

Today, over half a century after the 1967 Six Days War, the fiction of "Palestine" has taken off, just like when my ESL students tried to tell me that James Bond was a real person.

There isn't a single Arab leader here who wants peace with Israel; they just want pieces of Israel. And that includes the PA's Abbas. There's nothing to negotiate about. The Arab aim is our destruction, Gd forbid.

Arab Terrorism versus "Two State Solution"

There can never be a "Two State Solution" here in the Middle East, unless you're in favor of Hitler's "Final Solution." It's that simple. Both "solutions" are deadly for Jews.

Yes, it's that simple.

We Jews and the State of Israel do not have "peace partners." The aim of the Arabs and their enablers is the destruction of the State of Israel, Gd forbid, and the death of us, too.

Our cemeteries are full of innocent Jewish victims murdered by local Arabs. And our history is full of invaders and attempts at our annihilation and holocausts.

Deja vu, been there, done that. We've cried for our victims of terrorism and fought for our independence over and over. Each generation has its enemies. The Jewish People are a small people, but we've outlasted them all. And today's enemies will join all of those others in history books.

We will overcome in ways that no other people have survived, Gd willing.

Gd willing we will soon have brave visionary leaders and we'll build our Holy Temple on the The Temple Mount, Har Habayit. Like when Nachshon stepped into the water causing it to part so the Jewish People could safely escape slavery to Pharaoh in Egypt, once we begin to build the Third Temple, it will miraculously be completed by Gd.

May it be speedily in our days, bimhaira biyameinu... Gd willing...

Premise of "Jerusalem Bill" Horrendous

Here in Israel, Jerusalem is in the news again, and not the Kotel this time.

They keep talking about this "Jerusalem Bill." Those in favor claim it will protect Jerusalem, but I think that the very premise behind the bill is a greater danger.
The bill in question would require a vote of 80 MKs to approve the concession of any part of Jerusalem. Currently, a simple majority, meaning 61 MKs, is necessary. (Jerusalem Post)
Such an idea that an Israeli Government would even think of giving any of Jerusalem or the "Greater Jerusalem area" to the enemy no matter what the excuse is outrageous, even treasonous. And it's obviously a danger to the security and continued existence of the State of Israel.

Land concessions, meaning giveaways, will not bring peace. It will only weaken us and encourage our enemies to make war. And the absurdity of voting on such a suicidal proposal completely undermines the basic legitimacy of the State of Israel. In addition it makes it clear to both man and Gd that we don't have a leadership capable of sustaining a state.

We need Gd fearing Jewish leaders and not a bunch of wimpy politicians at the helm.

Grrr... Now Team Trump is Harassing Us

I'm color/party blind. I don't go for this Peace-Deal Harassment no matter who's pushing it. It's the same nightmare in the making whether by a Bush, a Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama or Donald Trump.

  • It's not going to make a real Peace.
  • It will only increase and encourage terror.
Unlike Team Trump, I'm not new to this part of the world. I've been in Israel since 1970 which can be rounded off to half a century. Even before making Aliyah, I was one of the Jewish "activists" and kept up with the news of what was happening here and what our enemies were saying and doing.

Headlines like these just make me nervous:
Kushner and Abbas hold 'productive' meeting
KUSHNER MEETS WITH ABBAS IN BID TO RENEW PEACE PROCESS
Trump's son-in-law launches Middle East peace effort
It's pretty obvious that US President Trump is getting desperate to raise his "approval ratings" and distract the American public from all the scandals, whether baseless or legitimate, that are plaguing his presidency. Unfortunately, he seems to think that Israel's an "easy lay," that we'll fall for more meaningless promises from the arab terrorists aka Palestinians, sic.

Unlike our Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and many others, I consider it much too dangerous to count on the Arabs shooting themselves in the foot and rejecting whatever horrendously dangerous for Israel concessions we end up offering. We should stop count on winning by default. It's going to end very soon. We have to speak plain and clear and stop encouraging the growing pressures on us.

The photo above is of the ongoing archaeological digs in Tel Shiloh, a short walk from my house. The artifacts dug up are confirming the history here as we Jews see it. It's our history from thousands of years ago. we have no returned home to our ancient historic homeland. We Jews are the only People native to this land as as sovereign nation. We should do nothing to endanger our living here, and a peace, sic, treaty that recognizes Arabs as having equal/parallel rights to ours will endanger the continued existence of the State of Israel.

I Have to Agree With Our Arab Enemies on This

PALESTINIANS EXPRESS RESERVATIONS ON PEACE TALKS BEFORE KUSHNER, GREENBLATT VISIT
Same conclusions from different directions...

Honestly, it doesn't matter one single iota what excuses the Arabs give for their "reservations" about "peace" sic talks, because we/Israel can't make peace with the Arab terrorists by talking or negotiating.

The so-called "Israel-Arab conflict," sic, is not about Land, and it's not just about Israel. There's a major theological characteristic in Islam, and Christianity, too, that preaches non-acceptance of other religions in favor of converting non-believers. This is in direct contrast to Judaism which tries to frustrate and push off potential or wannabe converts.

This extends to permitting others to live and thrive in land they consider theirs. There is no way that the fundamentalist Muslims can negotiate a "peace" with Israel, because it would force them to acknowledge and accept the State of Israel's sovereignty even in Tel Aviv. They have been saying this very clearly. It's not a "negotiating point" for them.

It is essential that Israelis, Left, Right and Center recognize this reality and stop cooperating with dangerous and useless negotiations to a "Two State Solution."

The so-called "Israel-Arab conflict," sic, is not about Land.

Peace Impossible: PA Paying Terrorists!

So far, at least, it seems that United States President Donald Trump has a "red line" when it comes to PA's Abbas and the "peace deal" business. Trump realizes that there is no chance for "peace" if the PA continues to pay convicted Arab terrorists and their families.
The Palestinian Authority can’t stop paying terrorists — so Trump can’t make a deal
Gd willing, Trump will stick to this condition. And I should hope that with all that total chaos going on with his administration, he'll decide that any peace sic negotiations will just make his life even more of a hell.

Peace Agreement With the Arabs? Stop Beating a Dead Horse

credit

I don't know about you, but I consider myself pretty pragmatic.
When "A" is willing to do pretty much anything other than kill itself for an agreement, and "B" offers nothing other than "A"'s death, you'd think "A" would take the hint and realize that "B" does not want to live in peace with "A."
That's the situation here with Israel and the nearby Arabs.

This "conflict" has been going on for a lot longer than fifty years. It didn't start in 1967. Actually it didn't even start in 1948.

Here, in the Land of Israel, when the Zionist Movement first began, when Jews began coming and trying to reclaim and work the Land, the Land was desolate, deserted and looking anything but fertile. There were some poverty-stricken primitive villages and cities, which housed Jews, Moslems and Christians. A few nomads wandered around eaking out minimal existence. But on the whole, besides Jews coming to die here and religious pilgrims, Jews and Christians coming to pray, the Arabs, Bedouin, Muslims and Druze were more interested in emigrating to greener pastures.

Since Jews began coming here to live, rather than die, there have been two results:

  1. Arabs, with the support of most of the world, have protested by attacking, terrorizing and killing the Jews. They demand that the Land be judenrein, clean of Jews!
  2. The improved economy here have attracted Arabs to stay and to immigrate.
So, you see that there's no way that we can convince the Arabs to negotiate a peace with us.  Basic, simple if you just listen to what they are saying and watch what they are doing:
PA: 'Palestine' will be free of 'settlers'
Abbas's spokesman says the PA is determined to establish a Palestinian state free of "settlers".

Ambassador Bolton's "3 State" Peace Proposal, Nonsensical

This was also posted on Israel Blogger.

Ambassador Bolton addressing the Ingeborg Rennert Center's Guardian of Zion Award dinner

As I already blogged on A Jewish Grandmother, my husband and I attended the Ingeborg Rennert Center's Guardian of Zion Award Dinner last night. So, besides the food, the real highlight of the evening was the speech by Award winner, former US Ambassador to the United Nations John  Bolton.

Since the dinner was also attended by many much more knowledgeable and respected writers than myself,  such as Caroline Glick, Ruthie Blum and Jerusalem Post Editor in Chief Yaakov Katz, (all of whom I do have some sort of personal connection,) I await their reports. No doubt that we will read them, most probably in the Friday editions of actual Israeli newspapers. One of the reasons I've embraced blogging so enthusiastically is that I can make my own deadlines and rules about what gets posted and when.

The crowd at the dinner was international, speaking a multitude of languages among themselves, but the program was in English. Our table was so overfull of diners that we had to put the bread plates in the center so our plates could lie flat and not spill over. There were screens and loudspeakers all over, since we filled two adjoining rooms.

As Bolton began his speech, there was almost a standing ovation when he said:
"...the Two State Solution has failed."
So, it was clear that no matter how diverse the crowd seemed, we did agree on that very basic fact. Every time he mentioned the failure of the Two State Solution, he was greeted with enthusiastic applause. But after that, his ideas fell flat, like a souffle taken out of the oven too early and greeted with a bang.

Bolton's "peace" proposal, what he calls the "Three State solution," IMHO, is as dangerous, fokokt and unworkable as all the versions of the Two State one. The three states in Bolton's proposal are Israel, Egypt and Jordan. Please note, that Bolton, unless I missed it, didn't mention the Golan Heights at all. His proposal only deals with what he calls "the West Bank," sic, and Gaza.

At my table quite a few of us were mumbling to each other how unrealistic, and possibly illegal, as it contradicts prior Israeli treaties with those countries, Bolton's proposal actually is. The crux of Bolton's plan is that the so-called West Bank should somehow be divided between Israel and Jordan. And of course, the idea of a country called "Palestine," sic, should be scrapped completely. Bolton totally ignores the Israeli Treaty with Jordan,  in which Jordan gave up claims to it. Remember that during the nineteen years of illegal occupation, Jordan did absolutely nothing to develop the area. In 1967, when Israel liberated it, there was no proper electricity, piped water, sewer system, modern telephones etc. Only the State of Israel has invested and upgraded the area. Arab residents have no desire to return to Hashemite rule. And the Hashemites, aka Jordan, aren't interested in them either.

Besides the lack of Jordanian identity among the Arabs here, making safe, secure and sensible borders between Israel and Bolton's fantasy entity are impossibly unrealistic, exactly like it would be with the Two State idea.

Bolton's belief that Egypt is interested in Gaza is so far from historic reality, I really wonder about his knowledge and sanity. If Egypt had wanted it, then Sadaat would have taken it when Menachem Begin gave him the Sinai. Post-Camp David, Egypt sure fought hard for the Taba resort and got that. Egypt has enough stability problems, and the last thing it wants is the responsibility of ruling Hamas supporting Gaza.

There were some excellent things in what Bolton said, which is similar to things I wrote periodically, such as that the basis for most countries' support of Palestine is their wish that the State of Israel disappear. And I truly wish that Bolton had given a speech on that topic rather than trying his hand at a "peace" proposal. Haven't people realized that succeeding in making "peace"with the Arab terrorists here is as impossible as conquering all of Russia...

Negotiations With The Arabs Won't Bring Us Peace

I've been following news in Israel since before the 1967 Six Days War, and I've lived here since 1970, so I do have quite a long perspective. I remember when Israel's political Center and even Left mocked the idea of a Palestinian State and People. That was the consensus here. Some of us haven't changed our opinions, but most inexplicably have.

I emphasis  inexplicably, because facts and history haven't changed. All those Israelis who in recent decades, Right, Left and Center, who now insist, as I've heard Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu say, "...the Palestinians deserve a state..." have fallen for a dangerous con/sting.

Why should and how can anybody insist that a bunch of immoral blood-thirsty terrorists should be given land from a peaceful legitimate internationally recognized country so they can invent a new state?

Netanyahu keeps claiming that if he puts enough impossible conditions on this state, it just won't happen, but he's wrong.

Palestinian Media Watch
The ultimate and unrepentant aim of those Arab terrorists, who are called Palestinians, sic, is the destruction of the State of Israel, Gd forbid. Yes, it's that simple, that black and white.

Highlights of the speeches from the Jerusalem Post Conference in New York, see this and this, show that there are politicians and government ministers who are wary of such a state, but that's not enough to make me feel safe. And of course, all of their proposals are based on negotiations.

There's a basic, and very dangerous, premise in negotiations. That is the recognition of the other side as legitimate, equal. That's the tragic flaw in negotiating which shouldn't be ignored.

For decades already, the Americans have made it clear that they see the Arabs, even Hamas, as equal to Israel and peaceful citizens like myself.

PM Rabin with Arafat and Bill Clinton
Over twenty years ago, in my living-room, an American Consular official had the utter gall to equate me and my neighbors with the terrorists of Hamas. I told him off and he seemed very surprised. Since Yitzchak Rabin had been willing to accept the terrorist Arafat, the game had changed for many, but not for me.

Arafat never stopped his support of terrorism against Jews and Israelis and ditto for his successors, such as Abbas.

Support of terrorism isn't something that can be negotiated away by a bit of compromise. It's an intrinsic fact.

It doesn't matter what the format, how direct, indirect, whether in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv or the White House, negotiations with terror supporters won't bring peace. Such negotiations will just weaken us, militarily, ideologically and diplomatically. Take a good look. This is exactly what has been happening the past few decades. Israel's legitimizing the so-called Palestinians have just chipped away at our acceptance. Today most universities, all over the world, are hotbeds of anti-Israel, pro BDS ideology.

The cat's out of the bag and we have an almost impossible mess to undo. Gd willing we will succeed.

Isn't All Apartheid the Same Evil?

My plan was to write a nice little blog post welcoming the people of Amona to the Shiloh Bloc of "settlements," Jewish communities, but then I read a few lines in the Jerusalem Post and began to seethe.
Palestinians also took issue with Israel’s decision to publish tenders for close to 2,000 new settler homes in the settlement blocs and to classify as state lands 977 dunams near the isolated settlement of Eli and the Palestinian city of Nablus.
Yes, another inaccurate statement from the Jerusalem Post. Or maybe it should go back to its original name, The Palestine Post...

From my vantage point in Shiloh, the description "the isolated settlement of Eli" is ridiculous. Eli isn't isolated.

It's just north of Shiloh, and it's actually walking distance from us. I've walked it. Eli is the largest and most populous community in the Shiloh Bloc. Besides being just a couple of minutes from Shiloh and a number of much smaller communities, it's barely a ten minute drive to Ariel and Tapuach. I wouldn't call that "isolated."

OK, I know what is really bothering everyone.

The Arabs and the proponents of the "two state solution," sic promote apartheid, which is why they don't want us here. And I don't understand why nobody is pointing this out.  Ahh, yes, the truth is that all those faux  moralists, the hypocritical so-called liberal democrats all are promoting this anti-Jewish apartheid.

They want all the land here to go to Arabs, and they don't want Jews here. That's called APARTHEID!
