Terror Ramming Attacks Cross All Borders, Berlin, Too

As you may well know, I'm a victim of one of the first Arab terrorist ramming attacks, which happened just over twenty years ago in Jerusalem. Considering how easy it is for terrorists and apolitical murderers to perpetrate such an attack, I guess we should be grateful that it hasn't become more popular/common.
Killer trucks*: What can the West do to stop the next attack?
Following Monday’s terrorist attack in Germany, what can the Germans and the rest of the West do better to prevent the next terror attack? (Jerusalem Post)

I hate to say this, but there really isn't any way to stop such terror attacks. Basically, anyone with a drivers license or access to a vehicle can use it to murder, maim and terrorize. The Arab terrorist who injured me drove a small ordinary car into us, which resulted in one murder and some horrific injuries to others who had been innocently waiting at the bus stop.

The latest report from Berlin is that the terrorist hasn't yet been caught. That makes for a very dangerous holiday season in Germany, Europe and the rest of the world.

Terror and terrorising is becoming too easy.  There's no need to purchase explosive or MacGyver a bomb. Just take your car, or the truck or any large vehicle you drive at work, and...

The modern world keeps getting more dangerous!

*Another really dumb and inaccurate headline. The trucks aren't the killers; they are the tool/weapon used by the killer/terrorist.

Deja Vu, Arab Terrorist Rammed Our Bus Stop Again

Having been injured in the first of this genre of terror Arab attacks, it's deja vu all over again, as the saying goes...

facebook

I don't know who was injured at all, but it's a bus stop I have waited at many times. It serves local Jerusalem buses and buses to communities all over Judea and Samaria. For us, it's the first stop on the way home, and for those coming to Jerusalem from Hebron, Gush Etzion etc, it's the about the last (if I'm not mistaken.)

This is what I wrote on facebook as a comment about the photo:
It's a major bus stop, especially since pretty much all the Judea/Samaria buses have been banished from the bus station. It's total chaos a good part of the day, with lots of buses, traffic etc, no shelter, WC's etc
Refuah shleimah, complete and speedy recovery to all of the injured, and may Gd give strength to them and their loved ones.

Painfully Deja Vu, Terror Attack at the Bus Stop

Yes, I've written about it many times. I am a terror attack survivor.

Almost twenty years ago, when I was waiting for a bus or ride, whichever would come first, an Arab terrorist rammed into me and over twenty other people. He killed one and wounded many. I was the lightest injured of the injured.

Honestly, what hurt the most was the fact that the police first tried to claim that it was an accident.  Just like I heard on the news today. Today an Arab terrorist took advantage of the fact that there were people waiting on a roadside for a ride, outside of the protective barriers, in my case there weren't any protective barriers, and he quickly turned, rammed into the them and fled.

A young woman was injured.

In my day there were no easy to use digital cameras to record the attack, but I have no doubt it was similar but worse.

Refuah Shleimah to the injured and Shabbat Shalom
