Hamas/Gaza War Musings #40: USA Faux Friend

The following is from my Facebook "Gnite" posts. Before I go to bed, I let loose on Facebook whatever is really bothering me. Generally these posts aren't at all planned; they just flow.

I'd appreciate if you'd read, comment and share, thanks.

I'm an old lady, past retirement age. I've been following politics and history since I was a child in New York. My life decisions aren't the standard and not as I was raised. I'm a Torah Observant Jew since my teens, thanks to what I learned and experienced in NCSY and made aliyah (moved to Israel,) with my husband since just after our 1970 wedding. That's my background in a nutshell.

Please read, thanks...

Gnite
What's going to happen 12 noon on Shabbat? Jerusalem time or Washington DC? Not clear to me...
Hamas isn't afraid of Bibi. That's for sure. It has been revealed that Gazans were readying for a surrender over a year ago, but then Bibi followed Biden's orders and began feeding the Gazans... so we lost.
Bibi is more American than I am.
I feel no loyalty, nor do I have any trust in the USA. The American State Department, Defense Department etc don't know what's best for Israel and have never cared about our survival. Way back when, during Harry Truman's presidency, he was told by the State Department not to vote "yes" in the infant United Nations for a Jewish State. Truman defied them.
Two decades later, when Egypt was threatening to destroy Israel with the help of their allies, Syria and Jordan. The USA was quiet.
Six years later they knew all about Egypt's plan to attack Israel and refused to warn Israel. Read Deceit of an Ally by Bruce Brill.
Almost a half a century later, deja vu, Biden was flown to Israel by his handlers to force Bibi to treat Hamas Gaza with kid gloves, send in "humanitarian aid" and continue with the farcical fokokt "moral" waste of our weapons to protect "innocent" Gazans civilians. Of course this totally ignores the fact that Gazan civilians are terrorists and invaded, murdered Gazans civilians, raped, decapitated, incinerated truly innocent Israelis on October 7, 2023. And the Americans quickly announced that their plan for "after" was to establish a Palestinian State. Their timing is very suspicious... It takes years for the State Department to plan things... right? So, the chances are... the attack wasn't a surprise for the Americans...
If my blog and FB posts had been more popular, I'd be one of those targeted... What do you think?
Food for thought...
Past my bedtime. Gd willing see you tomorrow.

ANGRY! Again Israel Gave in To Terror

Deja vu, been there; done that.

Israel Just The Facts

Again, Israel took an easy, though terribly temporary, way out from the barrage of deadly rockets and gave the Gazan Arab terrorists another chance to reload.

A quick google search of

And one for the first links if for:

There's anger here in Israel. I'm not exaggerating when I write "deja vu."

Close to a thousand rockets were launched at Israel in barely twenty four hours, and that's after over a year of deadly incendiary balloons and kites, which have caused awful damage. If the Gazan Arab terrorists have such an enormous amount of rockets and the capabilities of launching them at Israel, there's no reason why Israel can't bomb them to smithereens.

Who care about what "the world" may say?

Did "the world" protest and condemn the attacks on Israel? No

For those of us who grew up post-Holocaust, this certainly clarifies how Nazi Germany succeeded in murdering six million Jews and a few million others. Nobody aka "the world" actually cares.

When Terrorists are The Enemy, Pussyfooting Doesn't Help

You don't need to understand Hebrew all that well to see what's on the map. The red things represent the missiles fired by the Gazan terrorists. There are basically two targeted areas, Israel's south and up the coast until almost Tel Aviv.

Tel Aviv is on the coast at almost the top of this map. And if you'd like to know where Shiloh is, just look to the east (right) of Tel Aviv, while your finger is moving north (up) from Jerusalem. That should give a pretty good approximation.

The history of Israel's wars have three highlighted as great miraculous victories. They are the 1948-9 War of Independence, the 1967 Six Days War and the 1973 Yom Kippur War. The first two wars were fought by Israel totally alone. We just did what we had to do, and Gd helped us to win.

The War for Israeli Independence, the ragtag army of sabras, newly arrived refugees, foreign volunteers and almost no weapons knew that had no choice other than to win. So they just kept on fighting. By the time there was a ceasefire, the State of Israel had begun to function, and the Jewish State was reborn. And without thinking twice, new immigrants were sent to live in the buildings abandoned by the Arabs who had fled. Mansions were renovated into small apartment houses, and villages kibbutz fields and orchards.

Actually, in 1967, when it was clear that the Arabs were going to attack, we surprised them by shooting first. And that's why we won, against all odds in just six days. The importance of taking the initiative was because in order to win we had to destroy the enemy air force and break them psychologically.  We succeeded beyond our wildest dreams. Nobody in the government or IDF expected not only such a rapid victictory, but nobody thought or planned for us to liberate all the Land from the Golan to the Suez Canal and eastward to the Jordan River. Once we got started, Gd took over. But instead of encouraging, or at least allowing Jews to settle in the Biblical Heartland liberated in the war, most of the Land was held for Arabs in a mistaken belief that they'd be happy to accept it "back" in exchange for peace with us.

The 1973 Yom Kippur War was a bit more complicated. Israel was taken by surprise and accepted help and advice from the Americans. That "advice" almost caused our defeat and the end of the State of Israel. We finally defeated Syria and Egypt, even liberated more Land but quickly "gave it back" in exchange for nothing.

Now the Israel Government has gone from bad to worse. Gaza has been attacking Israel for well over a decade. Their rockets are getting bigger and go further. Instead of bombing and destroying the Arab Gazan terrorists, successive Israeli Governments just keep pussyfooting around by sending warning letters, bombing empty buildings and then during periodic "ceasefires," we pay the terrorists enough money, so they have oodles to spend on war, weapons to attack us.

It's time for the State of Israel to act like a truly independent proud country. We have to flatten, destroy our enemy completely. And yes, civilians, too. Today's wars aren't like field games where the armies fight far from civilian centers. The Gazan terrorists have their rocket launching pads within residential areas, schools and hospitals. To protect the State of Israel and all its citizens, the IDF must attack without trying to protect the enemy civilians. Protecting Israeli civilians is supposed to be the priority.  It's time to fight like we mean to win, Gd willing.

Guest Post: Letter From an Israeli Mother on The Gaza Border

We live within 7 kms of the Gaza border fence. We don't live as close as some and for that we are lucky and thankful but we are close enough and being in the center hear all the noise from the north down to the south and the activity in the Sinai from the Egyptian army.

An abnormal way of life has become 'normal' for us. When there is quiet, life is fine but always in the back of one's mind is the realization that it will not last.

My husband was evacuated from the Sinai as a result of the Camp David Peace Accord with Egypt in 1982 and we built our house before the Israeli withdrawal from Gush Katif. Why do I mention this? because when we built there were no rockets and we, along with a few other families, built the our mamads* according to the legal requirements which means that they are the size of a broom cupboard. We can't sleep in it, standing room only. Ok for when there's no rockets but a nightmare when they rain down and you have to scramble from bed at 02:00 wake and shift the kids and do it all in less than 15 seconds. !!! What about disabled people ?? Two of my girls suffer from living here. The middle one suffered for years from Compulsive Stress Disorder and the youngest has other stress related symptoms.

The kids here are terrified from the balloons** and bedroom windows have to be locked and securely covered by curtains so that there are no cracks because they are terrified of seeing faces at the windows.......as they explained .....the terrorists come at night. Whenever we go anywhere the first thing they do is check out where the shelters are and if they have enough time to reach one should there be an alarm. A few years ago when I took my youngest to visit her grandparents overseas she stunned us by one day asking quite matter of factly as we were driving along:
"Imma, the bus stops....where are the bomb shelters? Where do they hide when the rockets fall?"
We were lost for words.... and then explained.

Last summer my youngest went to a Bar Mitzvah pool party, and we had to run the gauntlet and fetch her as rockets were falling all around us and kipat barzel*** sent out above our heads as we drove home. She was shaking like a leaf but didn't say a word. So yes the kids are traumatized here and sadly many of them don't know any other way of life. Years ago the school would take out the odd child from class to have a tipool (therapy session.) After Tzuck Eitan**** the situation was so dire that they decided to treat the kids by class. They would start the day with meditation. Kids wet their beds, siblings sleep together and nightmares are frequent.

Even in the quiet times there is noise but I think one of the most unforgivable things is being lied to by the security forces, being told that nothing happened when clearly something has. When rockets have fallen and they've denied it. We aren't stupid and people talk. The lack of information is frightening and frustrating. We are told (sometimes) on a need to know basis which doesn't help a parent when their kids are all over the area with friends.

Bibi, We Israelis are Totally Disgusted With Your Policies, Voices From The People

Even on the French English language tv news, best of the pathetic choice of news channels we have on our television, has been broadcasting how disgusted the Israeli public is with the farcical and dangerous so-called "ceasefire."

I don't think too many people believe anything that Avigdor Lieberman says or does. We've been watching him long enough to know that he's less reliable and more volatile than Prime Minister Bibi Binyamin Netanyahu. Most of us haven't a clue as to which party to vote for. In Israel one votes for political parties, which have lists competing for Knesset seats. The largest party gets a chance to form a coalition, with its leader, number 1, as Prime Minister. If they don't succeed, then the next largest party, or the party which the most others tell the president can form a coalition gets a chance. It's obvious that Lieberman has chosen this time, maximum a year before elections, to start maneuvering himself to the "Right" of Bibi to attract voters. Deja vu, he has done this sort of thing before.

Following are quotations from friends and various blog links about our feelings:

Praying for Relief

We are very VERY upset over this ceasefire which is not solving the problems we've been suffering for months: The incendiary balloons; the shelling of the Eshkol area and Sederot whenever the mood strikes Hamas, and not ending the violent weekly demonstrations that have led to incursions over our border. We've come out pf this like a dog with its tail between its legs. I personally am LIVID because I have NO DOUBT that if such things occurred in Tel Aviv, the govt would have acted much differently AGES ago. We have large swathes of land burnt to a crisp. Can you believe Batya that on one of the yishuvim on the border crops could not be planted because their yearly allotment of water had been used up by putting out fires???? WE ARE FED UP! It's not enough that we had a HORRIFIC 24 hours with well over 400 rockets; they now send the rockets at a much swifter pace than before one right after another, boom, boom, boom. I salute those manning the iron dome that they were able to keep up with the pace that Hamas set. We are tax paying citizens and our young people do NOT deserve to grow up in the shadow of such terror.

Ceasefire call was shameful! These kids are suffering.

They would NEVER EVER do this to kids in Tel Aviv. I'm so sick of this elitist government. All they care about is getting votes.

"About shooting at empty buildings: Buildings don't set up or send bombs, rockets, or bullets. Kill terrorists instead of letting them strike from another location."

"All of this could have been prevented if the prime minister would support a war to end all future attempts at war. Gaza should become a lifeless crater." Or use my quote that "We surrendered Gush Katif for peace? I want that land back!!!!!!!!!!"

The govt better get off it's behind (I'd use a different word but I'm polite) and DO something. Enough putting off the inevitable! The present situation (of incendiary balloons here in Netivot and all over the south; the huge swathes of land burnt to a crisp; the ongoing violent demonstrations almost daily) cannot go on! WE HAVE HAD IT! ENOUGH! You can quote me, Batya!

If You Condemned Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting But Not Rockets At Israel, You Are a Hypocrite

Another Round from Gaza

Just waiting

What is wrong here?
After 470 rockets and a ceasefire was called so that Egypt and UN can work out a permanent agreement.
Now Celebrations break out on the streets of Gaza after Hamas declares victory.
And once again the resident of the south have been abandoned by our government.
Residents of the south furious, are holding a demonstration at Tzomet Sderot.
Time for elections...

War Against Arab Gaza Terror, Finally, Gd Willing Destroy Them

As far as most Israelis and fair-minded people all over the world are concerned, the military action, which we'll call a "war," on Arab Gaza Terror should have had begun about a half a year ago. The State of Israel has taken much too long to react strongly to the ongoing terror against our country and civilians.

The Arab Gazan terrorists, supported by all sorts of NGOs and even foreign countries began their latest war against us as a clever little "photo-op" "demonstrations" of innocent-looking kites and balloons that carried dangerous incendiary devices over the border to set fires all over southern Israel to destroy and kill our Land, agriculture and people. They quickly morphed into raging, violent mobs of anti-Israel terrorists attacking the border and invading Israel.

Gd protected our people, and thank the Good Lord that we build with bricks, rather than wood and other flammable materials, or there would have been more deaths and destruction.

I guess Bibi is really readying for elections, because he has finally decided to do something to protect us. Of course the only way to truly protect us is to unabashedly destroy the terrorists. By being gentle with the terrorists to please the EU, media etc, Prime Minister Netanyahu is only encouraging the antisemites and anti-Israelis, who are many. And, of course, all that does is strengthen terrorism and endanger us.

In all honesty, I'm disgusted with the basic defense policy of Netanyahu and his cringing Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman. Lieberman acts and talks like a toughy, but his policies have been weak and dangerous for Israel's security.

I pray for a miracle. Gd willing make our Israeli Government strong and confident, willing to totally destroy our enemies, all of our enemies!
