Hamas/Gaza War Musings #42: FIGHT TO WIN! Only VICTORY!

This is the message I wrote last night on Facebook. Israelis are now starting to face the fact that there are very few living hostages. Most have been murdered by the Hamas terrorists, and that includes the young Bibas family.

We're paying for the few survivors plus bodies and difficult to identify remains with live healthy convicted Arab terrorists. We're emptying the jails and filling the hospitals and cemeteries, including future Arab terror victims. This is insane, and the people responsible for our lack of immediate military response, government, security and IDF haven't been fired, charged etc. Almost none have even admitted mistakes to the citizens of Israel.

Think about it...

PS because of changes in blogger, I can't use any of my newer photos, just those that I've already posted.

Gnite

Most Israelis are trying to wrap their heads around the news that the two cute Bibas kids, their mother and probably most of the remaining hostages, really are dead, murdered by the Hamas terrorists adored by our enemies who claim to be our friends.
In exchange the terrorists get more terrorists for their vicious perverse cruel "army" to murder more Jews.
Yes, as far as I'm concerned, all those who support Hamas and/or chant "From the River to the Sea" etc are our enemies. They support the destruction of the State of Israel. Even if they're so stupid they've never seen a map of Israel, that's no excuse. It just means that they are dangerously useful idiots.
Ditto to all of those who support a "two state solution," which would be the "final solution" for the Gd forbid destruction of the State of Israel.
Yes, I'm blunt. I look at the facts.
Bibi is a record-breaking Prime Minister. There have been more wars under his rule than an other Israeli leader. Actually I don't know if any other country has had as many wars as we've had since Bibi became PM. Of course, he doesn't call them wars, even when our enemies attack us, and we never have a real victory. When they finish their target practice, he proudly declares it's over "and they won't try anything again," but the ceasefire only lasts until the next time...
Somehow Bibi has mesmerized the Likud and its loyal voters... he should have been fired years ago... He's a failure. Hamas is calling the shots and even decides where the released terrorists go.
Under Bibi's rule Israel has surrendered.
When is he going to be sent packing?
AND PLEASE DON'T SAY THAT NOBODY COULD REPLACE HIM!
We won't need elections if the replacement is from the Likud. It just must be someone not afraid to do the right thing. FIGHT TO WIN. None of that "moral" army garbage. No other country has done it, because it's the road to disaster, to losing a war.
I hope I can fall asleep, but at least I wrote what I needed to say.
Gd willing we'll meet again in the morning.

Arab Terrorist Prisoner Hunger Strike, Who Won?

While Israeli Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan keeps claiming that the Arab terrorist prisoners didn't gain anything from their hunger strike, the Arabs claim otherwise.
PA officials are claiming victory, stating that the hunger strike was successful in meeting their demands, while the Prisons Service said there was no negotiation, and that none of the prisoners’ demands were met apart from the visitations.
Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan also disputed the Palestinian officials’ statements, telling Channel 2 “there is absolutely no pledge to grant” any of the other prisoner demands. (Jerusalem Post)
It is hard to admit, but considering the leaked details, the Arab version may be more accurate.  Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu loves to play games with words and terms, and Erdan is his protege. They'll both claim that the conclusion/agreement gives no appreciable improvement in conditions.

The terrorists got themselves their usual good publicity, because the international bodies and media support them. The State of Israel should have reduced their cushy conditions to what other countries give convicted terrorists. And their leader Barghouti should be held under conditions like those the United States put on Jonathan Pollard. And we should make it clear that we are just following the American precedent. It should also be stressed that nothing Pollard did is a fraction of the seriousness of Barghouti's crimes and continued vicious incitement against the State of Israel.

And what happened to the Israeli demands on Hamas for the bodies of our soldiers? Every single time the Arab terrorists make demands on us, we should make it clear that the convicted terrorist prisoners will get get fewer privileges until our IDF soldier bodies are returned.

Arab Terrorist Hunger Strike - Let Them Starve to Death!

Not for the first time, convicted imprisoned Arab terrorists in Israel have declared a hunger strike. And as far as I'm concerned, let them starve to death.
HUNDREDS OF PALESTINIAN PRISONERS TO PARTICIPATE IN MASS HUNGER STRIKE MONDAY
As I've said/written on many occasions, any Arab terrorist caught in the act, whether "successful," sic, or not, he/she, young or old, should be executed on the spot. There is absolutely no need nor usefulness nor value in giving Arab terrorists medical care, a trial, room, board, education, entertainment, a microphone/internet access etcetera. Allowing them to live and thrive, as they do in jail, just endangers us even more.

photo- Terror Attack: 1 Dead

And there must be a  way to fine/penalize the PA-Palestinian Authority for giving out stipends/financial rewards to the families of the terrorists.
PA defies US, will raise payments to Martyrs' families
Itamar Marcus

In defiance of the US, which is demanding that the Palestinian Authority completely stop financial rewards to families of terrorist "Martyrs" (Shahids), the PA is now raising the payments to the "Martyrs'" families. These PA payments include lifetime monthly allowances to families of suicide bombers, and other murderers who were killed during or after committing their crimes... (Palestinian Media Watch)
Why does the world sympathise with these terrorists?

There is only one answer:
ANTISEMITISM!

Not "PC," Let The Convicted Terrorists Kill Themselves

Politicly Correct I am not for sure. So, you shouldn't be surprised that I am against force-feeding the convicted Arab terrorists who hunger-strike. Honestly, I believe that they should be executed, just like Israel executed Adolf Eichmann in 1962.

Honestly, I don't see any difference at all between the Nazis and the Arab terrorists. Their aim is the same, the destruction of the Jewish People. I consider it a tragic and dangerous mistake that Israel treats Arab terrorists as ordinary criminals and not like those bent on genocide against us.

It's ironic that a doctors human rights group agrees with me about the convicted Arab terrorists but for different reasons.
Doctors associations object because it places responsibility on physicians to carry out invasive treatment of prisoners in spite of their preference and right to autonomy. (Jerusalem Post)
I don't think that those terrorists really want to die. They just want publicity. Call their bluff and let's see how many really kill themselves.

Sympathetic News Items of "Arab Suffering" Should Not be on Israeli TV!

  • Gilad Michael ben Bat-Galim, Yaakov Naftali ben Rachel Devorah and
  • Eyal ben Iris T'shura
Believe you me, it's not just the New York Times and other international media playing up "Palestinian suffering" from the IDF searches for the kidnapped youth.
Three Israeli boys have been kidnapped yet The New York Times is still more concerned with Palestinian “suffering.” It’s only been a few days since the IDF launched a major operation to find the three kidnapped Israeli teens Eyal Yifrach, 19, Naftali Frankel, 16, and Gil-ad Shaar, 16. Judging from Jodi Rudoren’s report for The New York Times, you’d think that Hebron had been “under siege” for months or even years.
The Israeli news is full of the same sort of morale plunging pro-Arab terrorist garbage. While our young IDF soldiers are risking their lives going into Arab terrorists' homes looking for the kidnapped boys and the hundreds or more of convicted Arab terrorists who had been released to give Gilad Schalit his freedom, we keep seeing and hearing the Arab side of things.

What should be our sole priority is the safety of Jews in the Land and State of Israel. Our only concern should be our security. The fact that Israel publicizes its care and kindness for its enemies just makes us look weaker and less reliable in the eyes of the Arabs. And when we look weak, then the Arabs are more attracted to the terrorists. They are pragmatic. They don't want to be perceived as "pro-Israel' by those who have no compunctions about murdering their friends and family over what they rationalize as "honor."

There should be a total blackout on Israeli television of the feelings and so called "suffering" of the Arabs whose homes are being inspected because of  the chance they are hiding Arab terrorists or something of the kidnapped boys. Those Arabs will survive perfectly well at the hands of the IDF unless they are guilty.

Our sympathy should only be to the families and friends of the Jewish victims or this immoral crime.

We must continue praying for:

Schalit versus Bergdahl Prisoner Exchanges

Just the other day I caught an interesting news item on one of those international news channels on television. I heard of complaints about the fact that United States President Barack Hussein Obama had gone against previous policy and approved a swap with thTaliban for Bowe Robert Bergdahl, who is possibly an army deserter.
According to the video's narrator, the handover took place around 4 p.m. Saturday in the area of Bati in Ali Sher district of eastern Khost province. As the helicopter approaches, one of the Taliban men gets closer to Bergdahl and is heard speaking in Pashto, one of two main Afghan languages.
"Don't come back to Afghanistan," the man tells Bergdahl. "You won't make it out alive next time," he adds as some of the others are heard laughing.
Just before the helicopter lands, a group of Taliban near the pickup shout: "Long life to Mujahedeen," or holy warriors as the Taliban call themselves.
A Taliban statement, also distributed to media, quoted their leader Mullah Mohammad Omar describing the release of the five Taliban officials from Guantanamo as a significant achievement for the movement.

Bowe Bergdahl (L) and Gilad Shalit (R) Photo by AP, Shalit family, Ha'aretz
There were comparisons with the deal Israel had agreed to to free Gilad Schalit, so I was really surprised that it only took the release of five Taliban prisoners to free Bergdahl, while Israel had to release over a thousand convicted Arab terrorists to get Schalit. Just to give you an idea, here is some information about stage one:
In October 2011, the Israel Prison Service published the names of the 477 Palestinian prisoners released in the first stage of  theprisoner swap deal for kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit450 male prisoners and 27 female prisoners were released, among them 280 inmates serving life sentences.
Every one of the prisoners were transferred out of Israel proper on October 18, 2011, after Shalit was safely returned to Israel.
A total of 131 prisoners returned to Gaza; 54 to the West Bank or east Jerusalem; and 204 prisoners were deported overseas. Six of the prisoners were Arab-Israelis who were allowed to stay in Israel.
The Americans do not have the Talibans in the midst of their country or even close by. And five potentially dangerous men all those thousands of miles away from one of the most populous countries in the world do not compare one iota to the illogical and dangerous step that Israel took to get Schalit home.

What's good for the goose...

Bibi in The Bagel, Flanked on the Right by Bennett and on the Left by Livni

Is this the political Center that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has aimed for?

thanks to Esser Agaroth
Bibi, stuck in the hole of the bagel...
The latest Israeli election campaign has begun in earnest. And it has begun within Netanyahu's coalition. Economics Minister, the NRP aka Jewish Home's Naftali Bennett is campaigning hard on the Right and Justice and Peace sic Negotiations Minister, The Movement's Tsipi Livni is trying to head him off from the Left.

Bennett, Jerusalem Post:
Economy Minister Naftali Bennett pledged on Saturday "to put an end" to freeing murderous terrorists ahead of a Knesset panel vote Sunday on a bill that if passed could be used to prevent the release of terrorists in future peace talks.
"For the last thirty years Israeli governments have been releasing murderous terrorists. Sometimes in exchange for something. Sometimes in exchange for nothing," Bennett said on Facebook late Saturday.
IMHO the best solution is executing all terrorists who murdered or even attempted to murder Jews. Don't give them another chance.
Livni, according to Sarah Honig:
“I will continue to defend the values of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, and will under no circumstance allow anyone to weaken its democratic values and to subordinate them to Jewish ones,” Livni intoned......However, the plain and irrefutable fact is that the word “democratic” doesn’t even appear once in the Declaration. The carefully composed document only cursorily lists assorted individual freedoms (distinct from collective/national ones), “as envisioned by the Prophets of Israel.” Considering the authors’ meticulous attention to every nuance during a series of ultra-exhaustive consultations, this omission was no accident.
It seems that in comparison to Livni, Netanyahu seems almost chareidi...

I have no doubt that Bennett's and Livni's campaigns are only beginning. No doubt that the failing popularity of Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid party will prompt him to mount a campaign in attempt to rescue his political future. It's easier to campaign when you have clear positions and ideology. If Netanyahu's Likud is really a Center Party, it will be more like yeast dough after being punched down, very small. Or is this Bibi's idea of a therapeutic Swedish massage, or is it a political nightmare? I guess it depends on whether or not Bennett, Lapid or Livni can reach his political jugular.

Is Jay Jonathan Pollard Willing to be a Pawn?

I've had my doubts about Jonathan Pollard's agreeing with conditions of silence for his release from American jail. Of course, he may have mellowed, or he may be so sickly he does't have the strength to speak out. But I just can't imagine that the Americans and the Israelis will want the world to know what Jay Jonathan Pollard thinks.

Remember that when he and his wife Anne had realized that they were in trouble, they went to the Israeli Embassy for shelter, refuge and they were refused. They were handed over to the Americans. Anne Henderson Pollard has been in Israel on and off over the years trying to make a new life for herself.

How angry is Jonathan Pollard?

The latest report is that he does not want to be exchanged for hundreds of Arab terrorists. He doesn't like that equivalency. And I don't blame him.

There are reports that he refused to attend the prerequisite required parole hearing.
Jonathan Pollard may have ditched the deal in the making by which the Obama administration would free him from his life sentence in a U.S. federal prison cell if Israel agrees to release terrorists “with blood on their hands” along with several other security prisoners
Patricia Smoot, a member of the U.S. Parole Commission, said on Tuesday that Pollard has waived a planned parole hearing for the same day, the Associated Press reported. (Jewish Press)
Will Pollard stay in jail?

If Pollard is released will he join the many voices condemning the deal the Americans are trying to push Israel to take?
3) Israel will release the fourth batch of 26 Palestinians convicted of terror acts before the 1993 Oslo Accords. Some Israeli-Arabs will be included in the release, although it is not yet certain how many.
4) Israel will release an additional 400 Palestinian prisoners during the continuing negotiation period. These prisoners will be picked by Israel, will include many minors and women, and will not include those with "blood on their hands."
5) Israel will "exercise restraint" in releasing government tenders for new homes in the West Bank, meaning that it will issue no new government tenders for housing in Judea and Samaria. This policy will not include Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem beyond the Green Line. This policy will also exclude public building projects such as roads. Israel has rejected a total settlement freeze. (Jerusalem Post)
Why doesn't Bibi have the guts to just tell the USA to "%%^&*^%^$%^&**#$!!?"

Nu, Why Did Israeli Bibi-Coalition Partners Wait So Long to Balk at Convicted Terrorist Release?

Israel is too glib about crossing its "red lines." There was a time when no Israeli Government would dare mention the freeing of convicted terrorists, then there was the proviso, as long as they "didn't have blood on their hands." That euphemisms means that the "successful" terrorists had to stay in jail, but those who failed would be given by the Israeli Government a free pass to try again to murder Jews! Now, isn't that sweet and generous of Israel?  Would any other country be so unbelievably and illogically kind to its enemies?

There was also a time when the mention of a possible "Palestinian State" would cause everyone to rise up in anger and accuse the person of treason. Those were the good old days.

Today's supposedly Center-Right politicians are more like the Extreme Left of an earlier and safer time.

News is that the recent threats by some of Bibi's bloated cabinet to leave his coalition if he releases the last batch of convicted Arab terrorists is the excuse/reason Netanyahu is giving to the Americans for a delay.
The pan-Arab London-based newspaper Al-Hayat has reported that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told US Secretary of State John Kerry that his governing coalition may fall apart if Israel goes ahead with the fourth planned tranche in the terrorist release that it agreed to as a “goodwill gesture” toward the Palestinian Authority.
Al-Hayat said that Kerry has asked PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas to extend negotiations even if Israel fails to release additional terrorists. Abbas, for his part, told Kerry he would not discuss continuing negotiations until the terrorists are freed, including 14 Israeli Arabs. (Arutz 7)
Could Minister of Defense Moshe Bogie Ya'alon's statements against Kerry and Obama have been part of a script he and Netanyahu had written just to reduce American pressure on Israel? Or am I giving Bibi too much credit for protecting Israel's interests?

How does that rumor jive with the other one that Israel will release, G-d forbid, another four hundred 400 convicted terrorists?
A report on the Israeli news website, Walla, said that Israel informed the United States, that not only would it free the 30 terrorists that were supposed to be freed tonight (Saturday night), but also an additional 400 Palestinian Authority terrorists – if Abu Mazen agrees to extend the peace talks for another 6 months.
The 30 terrorists that were supposed to be released tonight include Arab citizens of Israel, and the release has met tremendous resistance in Israel as the names that Abu Mazen demanded released are among the most heinous of mass murderers. (Jewish Press)
Rumors, rumors are they true or trial balloons?
The office of Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon on Tuesday would neither confirm nor deny comments attributed to him calling US Secretary of State John Kerry “obsessive” and “messianic.”
Tuesday editions of the daily tabloid Yedioth Ahronoth  quote Ya’alon as telling associates in private conversations that Kerry “should take his Nobel Prize and leave us alone.” (Jerusalem Post)
That means that there's more of a chance that Ya'alon's comments about American Secretary of State John Kerry was planned with Netanyahu.

My biggest gripe is that the first three batches were released without the recent threats by ministers to topple the coalition. The so-called Right partners in the coalition should have used their united muscle against the very first convicted Arab terrorist prisoner release and not have waited until now.

Either this protest is just for their voters, to pretend to threaten leaving the coalition or they've been following the policy I keep saying is wrong. They were counting on Mahmoud Abbas to totally call off negotiations, so he, rather than Israel could be blamed for the failure. I'm constantly saying f2f and on my blog that we should never count on Arab stupidity. We must act, not react.

Arab Terrorists Cheer and Jews Mourn

I couldn't think of a simpler title for this post.  Usually I try not to blog about the same topic two days in a row, but I just can't ignore the terrible policies of Likud Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.  He is encouraging Arab terrorism against innocent Israeli Jews.

There is no deterrence to prevent an Arab who is thinking of murdering a Jew, who is thinking of being an Arab terrorist.  He knows perfectly well that time in Israeli jail will have great opportunities, to further education, both academic and terrorist, and within a few years, whether he succeeded in murdering a Jew or not, he'll be freed.  And while he's in jail, the PA (Palestinian Authority) will pay a salary to his family.

The Israeli public is already numbed to the reality of this situation that while our innocent Jewish citizens are suffering from terrorism and the threat of more, our government has agreed to free more Arab terrorist murderers.
Following High Court decision to reject appeal, Israel releases 26 prisoners after midnight: 18 to West Bank, 5 to east Jerusalem and 3 to Gaza.Israel released 26 Palestinian security prisoners Monday overnight, after the High Court of Justice rejected a petition filed by bereaved families to prevent their release.
Unlike the previous 52 terrorists already released, the group released overnight included five residents of east Jerusalem. The Palestinians are demanding that in the next batch Israel include Israeli-Arabs who carried out terrorist attacks, something Jerusalem has until now adamantly refused to do.
This Chelm is no joke.
Flash 90
Reuters

When our enemies are cheering, we must be worried, but I don't see our Israeli Government taking responsibility nor responsible steps.

I wouldn't blame John Kerry.  He's doing his job which isn't protecting Israel.  His job is to make his boss United States President Barack Hussein Obama feel happy and look good.
The official said that during the initial talks between Netanyahu and Kerry, before the peace talks restarted, Netanyahu agreed to release 82 terrorists in several batches, none of them Israeli Arabs.
Subsequently, the same official told Channel 2, Kerry and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas held talks of their own during which Abbas demanded the release of 104 terrorists, including Israeli Arabs. Kerry’s deception was that, instead of telling Abbas that Israel only agreed to release 82 terrorists, he then went back to Netanyahu and tried to convince him to change his position.
We need a very different Israeli Government.  As I had predicted during last year's election campaign, Naftali Bennett's claim that he could protect the State and Land of Israel while in the cabinet coalition is 100% yes one hundred percent wrong! Bennett and his NRP aka Bayit Yehudi MKs and ministers have been effectively muzzled, as are Likud's Moshe Feiglin and the MK's his supporters were advised  to vote for in the Likud Primaries.

Israel's Releasing of Convicted Arab Terrorists is INSANITY According to Einstein

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Israel has tried releasing convicting murders, Arab terrorists to "jumpstart" the "peace sic process" before, and it has only led to more terror.  But that hasn't stopped the Likud Binyamin Netanyahu Israeli Government  from trying yet again.

Cabinet Approves Opening of Diplomatic Negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians in Accordance with PM Netanyahu's Statement on the Negotiations
28/07/2013
יום ראשון כ"א אב תשע"ג
The Cabinet, today, approved the opening of diplomatic negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians in accordance with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement regarding the negotiations, and authorized a ministerial team on the release of Palestinian prisoners during the negotiations. The Prime Minister will chair the team; its other members will be Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch and Science, Technology and Space Minister Yaakov Peri. Earlier, the Cabinet approved the draft Basic Law: Referendum.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "This moment is not easy for me. It is not easy for the ministers. It is not easy especially for the families, the bereaved families, whose heart I understand. But there are moments in which tough decisions must be made for the good of the country and this is one of those moments."  PMO-Prime Minister's Office

Long after the jails have been emptied of "failed terrorists," those Arab terrorists who didn't succeed in murdering Jews, the Israeli Government has now been freeing some of the most notorious Arab terrorists in our history.

Why should they enjoy freedom?  They should have been executed!

And what's the point of negotiations?  American brokered/mediated negotiations will never bring us peace. There won't be peace, true peace until the Arabs want true peace.  It's best for us Israelis just to keep busy building and developing our country in all of the Land of Israel we hold.  Arabs don't need more Land. They need a totally new value system, and that will take centuries.

Washing Out a Terror Victim's Blood

While I was eating dinner, I almost lost it, as the saying goes. The television was on with the news, here in Israel of which convicted Arab terrorists would be released this time.  Just FYI Israel has long ago used up pretty much all of the convicted terrorists who hadn't succeeded in murdering anyone, so now convicted murderers are being released for various non-legal reasons.  This time convicted Arab terrorists are being released to "encourage" the P.A. to negotiate peace with us.
Israel is set to release in the coming days 26 terrorists who killed Israeli citizens. Of the 26 terrorists set to be freed, 21 came from Judea and Samaria, and 5 from Gaza. Most committed their terror attacks before Oslo, and served sentences ranging from 19 to 28 years.
Read more at: http://www.jewishpress.com/news/breaking-news/names-of-victims-of-the-26-terrorists-to-be-freed/2013/10/28/
I'm so glad that the terrorist who injured me, a couple a dozen others and murdered one woman had been killed on site soon after.  I don't know how I'd handle knowing that after that dastardly act he could be allowed by the Israeli Government to be free.  The suitable punishment for such a crime is death, and thank G-d three young men who were on the scene shot him dead.  They had to deal with the police, but in the end they weren't convicted of any crime.  This was also one of the early cases when the police tried to prove the terror attack was just an "accident."  I was involved with telling the public that it was a terror attack.  I gave information to the Jerusalem Post for a front page article and double-sized editorial, wrote an op-ed and then was interviewed on live TV on the IBA.

The terrorist being released that got me extra upset was once who murdered someone in our circle.  Minutes after the attack, someone I know arrived at the scene and comforted the victim's family.  Blood from the victim got on that person's clothes.  It wasn't all that much blood, but the person kept visualizing blood all over the outfit and asked me to get it clean.  I scrubbed and scrubbed it.  It looked clean to  me, but the person I know couldn't wear it ever again.  In that person's eyes, the blood would always be there, no matter how clean it looked to others.  Thinking about it today, I see that I was wrong.  I couldn't really clean that jacket of blood. The stain of the murdered victim of Arab terror wasn't just blood red.  For  the family and and friends the blood will always be visible.

Protestors march toward Ofer Prison
Yoni Kempinski
This can be compared to the situation going on now.  There are protests about the prisoner release.  The protesters still see the blood, while the government is trying to convince us that the blood had been cleaned away.  The government insists that there is only a low chance that these Arab terrorists will resume terrorism against us.

Now, I, too, see the blood.

Better The Death Penalty Than Releasing Arab Terrorist Prisoners; Bennett and MKs Snagged

For the umpteenth time I'm blogging that I am in favor the death penalty, capital punishment for Arab terrorists who murder and attempt to murder Jews.  I don't believe in giving them "second chances." If we had that in our Israeli Laws, then there wouldn't be this horrendously dangerous and weakening situation of convicted Arab terrorist murderers being released.
Israel names 26 Palestinian prisoners to be freed in 48 hours
All were convicted of murder, including brutal killings such as 1990 Rosh Hashanah lynch of IDF reservist in Gaza; 21 inmates are from West Bank, 5 from Gaza
I also must say "I told you so" to all of those who voted not only the ruling Likud-Beitenu but for Naftali Bennett's NRP aka Jewish Home Party.  For as many elections as I've been blogging, such as all of those Knesset elections in the past decade plus, I've warned everyone who reads my blog that the Likud isn't a reliably Right party and that all parties in the coalition must obey coalition discipline and even ministers don't have a say/vote in policy decisions.

When I got home from work yesterday afternoon and turned on the news I kept hearing the top Likud ministers chastising Bennett and his MKs for publicly voicing their opposition to government policy.  This was all so easy to predict.  The Likud is correct in complaining about Bennett.  Bennett signed a contract to abide by government decisions.
A Cabinet committee unsurprisingly defeated on Sunday a motion by the Jewish Home to propose a bill that would prevent the government from freeing heavy-duty terrorists. The Ministerial Committee for Legislation voted 8-5 against the proposal, with Likud, Yesh Atid and Livni’s HaTunah party minsters opposing it and Jewish Home and Yisrael Beiteinu ministers voting for it. With Justice Minister Tzipi Livni heading the committee, the bill had no chance. Click here to understand how she wears three hats, all of them oversized. Interior Minister Gideon Sa’ar, a senior Likud member and a close aide to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, characteristically played the role of a sore winner and told Jewish Home Minister Uri Orbach, “If you don’t like it, you can resign.” Sa’ar berated the Jewish Home for daring to propose a bill that would have gone against government policy. Livni was even cruder with her snipe that the government does not act on the orders “of the rabbis in the West Bank.”

The decisions aren't made by polling all coalition MKs, or even all of the government ministers. This is nothing new, nor was it a secret before the elections and coalition negotiations.  Not to bore you, but I did post that innumerable times.  It doesn't matter or help or change things that Moshe Feiglin is now a Likud MK or that Tzippi Hotobelli is Deputy Minister of Transportation and Road Safety and NRP's Bennett is in the cabinet. They have absolutely no influence. Their job, paid job, is to back Bibi's government.

And please don't try your scare-mongering on me claiming that it would be worse if Tsippi Livni or another Leftist was Prime Minister.  I've been observing Israeli governments and politics for almost half a century, and I've seen the Likud (originally Menachem Begin's Herut) in all positions and guises.  Israel's only Land withdrawals, Sinai and Disengagement, were under Likud Governments.  The Left wouldn't dare with a strong Right opposition.  Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is always best when pushed to the wall.  That's where I want him, not in power.

The present Israeli Government is promoting policies far to the Left, and that's the truth.

Big Question: Is it News When it Keeps Repeating Itself?

I'm getting tired of following and writing about the news.  Everything is so deja vu. We've heard it all before, and read about it and seen it ad nauseum.  You'd think the politicians, policy makers, journalists, academics etc. would be as bored as I am.  It's like waiting for a suitcase to come onto the turning thing at the airport.  You watch and watch until you feel like you're turning in circles and the suitcases are standing still.  Yes, the same old suitcases; every one is there, but the one you're waiting for.

For how many years have we been hearing that Iran is developing nuclear weapons?

And how many times and for how long has Israel, especially Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that it's almost too late?

And how many times and for how long have American Presidents promised to do something, threaten, negotiate, investigate...?

And how many times and for how long has Israel offered the Arabs peace, even begged for peace?

And how many "good will gestures" has Israel offered the Arabs for peace?

And how many times and  from how much land have we withdrawn our troops, all in the hope of peace in return?

And how many times has Israel frozen Jewish building in Jerusalem and other parts of the Land of Israel to try to placate the Arabs and foreign countries, just because we want peace?

And how many dangerous, convicted Arab terrorists have been released by Israel to encourage the Arabs to make peace with us?

And how many dangerous, convicted Arab terrorists have been released by Israel in exchange for Israelis and Jews held by Arabs?

And how many dangerous concessions have various Israeli governments and leaders offered the Arabs in an attempt to make peace with them?

And how many times has Israel apologized for things we didn't do, killings we're not guilty of, all so that people would "like" us?

When will the assimon (phone token) drop?  When will Israeli society, its politicians, its media, academics and all accept the reality that there is nothing we can do to encourage the Arabs to "make peace" with us?

The Arabs will only be satisfied when, G-d forbid, we're destroyed.  They and their supporters will quickly celebrate, try to take over our agriculture and industries.  And then, a short time late, just like what happened in Gaza they'll just destroy it.  Soon there will be a massive brain drain as the more educated Arabs will quickly leave the area for any country that will take them.  And the poorer people will migrate away leaving the HolyLand desolate as it was before the Zionists began developing it.  And then after forty, fifty, a hundred years or more a new wave of idealistic Jews will return in an attempt to reclaim our Land, build a state and then G-d willing the Holy Temple on Har Habayit, the Temple Mount.

A Mockery of Justice, Releasing Arab Terrorist Murderers and Those Who Attempted Murder

I'm a firm believer in capital punishment, the death penalty.  Unfortunately Israel has only practiced it once when it executed Eichmann.  According to Israeli law, the death penalty is only to be used against Nazis, and the law has never been amended to include Arab terrorists who are even more dangerous.

The media, both international and Israeli, keep referring to the convicted Arab terrorists being released to encourage sic the terrorist representatives to talk to us as just innocuous, benign-sounding "prisoners."  They could be white-collar clerks caught pilfering staples or shoplifters who took too much bubblegum for all the media tells us.

I'm not in favor of comparing this illogical, dangerous act, the release of terrorist murderers with Jonathan Pollard or Jews jailed in Israel.  That's why I haven't joined any of the campaigns to free Pollard from American jail or Jewish Israelis jailed for various security breaches.  None of them are terrorists so they shouldn't be considered in parallel/similar status.

The State of Israel is making a terribly dangerous mistake in releasing the convicted Arab terrorists.  That's what they are "convicted Arab terrorists."  Keep repeating that over and over.  There's a big difference between a "prisoner" and a "convicted Arab terrorist."  One is a "prisoner" before being tried and convicted.  Quite often people are imprisoned by mistake.  These terrorists were captured, tried and convicted.  Most if not all should have had been immediately executed after conviction.

Releasing convicted Arab terrorists, no matter what Israel would get "in return" is dangerous and demonstrates that the State of Israel does not value its citizens, security, justice or sovereignty.

Two convoys left the Ayalon prison on Tuesday night at around 9 pm, carry 26 terrorists who were released as the first part of an Israeli gesture to the Palestinian Authority.
One convoy, carrying 15 terrorists traveled to the Erez junction, near Gaza, where those terrorists were released. The second convoy, carrying 11 terrorists, went to Ofer prison, and then on to the Beitunia checkpoint. The conveys reached their destinations after midnight.
Palestinian Authority Arabs have gathered to greet the terrorists upon their arrival. Over 1000 Arabs have gathered at the Muqata in Ramallah to greet the freed terrorists, and Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas will be leading a welcoming ceremony.

The implied and easy to predict dangers make me wonder about the patriotism and morals of all of the politicians and government officials involved.  They are the same people who try to marginalize what they refer to as "the settlers," aka people like myself.  In the years leading up to the Nazi invasion of Europe and the Holocaust, people like Ze'ev Jabotinsky repeatedly warned European Jewry to leave and move to Israel.  Not only was he ignored and mocked in Europe, but the dominant Labor Zionists did their best to attack and marginalize him and his Revisionist followers.  In the end it was Jabotinsky whose analyses of the situation that was correct.

We're still fighting the same war, just a different battle.  G-d willing we will soon be victorious.
