Honestly, Israel Doesn't Need America to Survive

I have problems with the whole concept that "We need to know America has our back," Minister of Education Naftali Bennett.

Israel's greatest victories were when there was no interference/support by any foreign country, even the United States of America. The Israeli War of Independence when we had to defend ourselves against British backed Arab troops/armies and the 1967 Six Days War when Soviet backed Arab armies, tacitly supported by the United Nations and innumerable foreign countries were miraculous victories. All logic and military experts had the State of Israel written off as defeated. We had no human or diplomatic allies.

Prayers went to Gd, and Gd wanted us to win. If we depend on humans, we may lose. That is what almost happened in 1973 during the Yom Kippur War. The Nixon-Kissinger agenda was to make the USA the real power in the Middle East. It's only thanks to Gd and Jewish People that they failed.

The best response of the State of Israel to supporters like Trump and Pence is a simple "thank you for doing what is right in the eyes of Gd."

Trump -Pence Presidency The Most Pro-Israel Ever!

Finally, the United States elected a presidential team that didn't throw their pro-Israel promises in the trash before Inauguration Day. Most nominees and wannabes for the White House sound as pro-Israel as Donald Trump did while campaigning.

Claiming to care about Israel's security, moving the embassy to Jerusalem etc are common applause lines when campaigning. Apparently it gets them votes, too. But once elected their tunes change. That's the routine we'd all been used to. But everything changed when Donald Trump was elected President of the United States.

Suddenly and for the very first time, The State of Israel found itself with a friend and ally in the United Nations.

It took almost a year, but President Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as the Capital of the State of Israel. That speech wasn't even here in Israel, where many American Presidents make very pro-Israel speeches, which are filled with empty promises. And now Vice President Pence is here visiting and continuing to show that this American Administration is like no other when it comes to the State of Israel. Apparently the timetable for "moving" the embassy to Jerusalem, or transferring staff in order to make the consulate building the embassy and visa versa is to be before the 2020 presidential elections.

May the Trump-Pence administration be blessed with good health in order to complete their terms and more.

U.S. VP's are More Than Just Postscripts This Year

Donald Trump, born 1946
Hillary Clinton, born 1947
If you go over the history of the United States, not all that many Vice Presidents took over the Presidency. And during the campaigns, most were forgettable or worse. But this year's/next month's American Presidential Elections have an element that rarely if ever seen. Not only is the sum total of the Presidential candidates' ages higher than ever, 139, but neither has been very open about her/his current health situation. If you have the time and patience to calculate click here for the Wikipedia listings of candidates.

Does this mean that seventy is all that ancient? Gd forbid! But in 2008, Obama, who was all of  47, made John McCain's age, 72, an election issue.

This year the Americans are choosing between two retirement age candidates, and for that reason, let's take a quick look at their Veep choices aka running mates.

Tim Kaine
Like Hillary's kissing Suha Arafat after her anti-Israel speech filled with lies, the Democratic nominee, Tim Kaine,  is haunted by his boycott of Bibi's speech to Congress. From my perch here in Shiloh, Israel, I don't like what I see coming from the Democratic Party.

Mike Pence
In all honesty, I know even less about Trump's Veep,  Mike Pence. Considering that Trump has no congressional experience, I'd think he'd draft someone with a good track record. Remember that JFK never managed to pass his platform, and it was the congressional power house, Lyndon B. Johnson, who got the job done when he assumed the presidency after Kennedy was assassinated. So the information I just read in Wikipedia "During Pence's twelve years in the House, he introduced 90 bills and resolutions; none became law.[42]" may not be good for Trump.

May Gd save us all...
