Why Does it Take Murdered Jews for Government to Act?

For decades I've been asking this question. There has been a long-standing custom, even predating the establishment of the State of Israel, to establish and name communities and even cities after Jews murdered by Arab terrorists. The list of such places is very long, and I'm not going to try to list all of the communities/towns/cities that fit that criteria.

Just in the past few days, the community of Chavat Gilad, which is built on private Jewish land, was given approval, because of the sympathy the Israeli government felt for the residents after one was murdered by an Arab terrorist.

Shvut Rachel, which is just a few minutes' walk east from my house, was established on land allocated to Shiloh by a garin, group of people planning on living as a community together, that had plans to establish a new community east of Shiloh before Rachella Druk, HaYa"D, was murdered, but hadn't actually done it. After Rachella was murdered, they quickly moved caravans to the site which is now Shvut Rachel, and a yishuv was born. I've been wondering ever since about the possibility that if only they had established a new community beforehand, would Rachella be alive today?

Why do we only react to horrible tragedies? In recent decades this has become pretty much the only impetus for Jewish settlement. Forty years ago when Shiloh, Tekoa, Beit El, Efrat, Ariel and many other Jewish communities were established, there was a drive to fill the Biblical landscape with modern Jewish life.

We must return to the ideology of settlement in the Land of Israel because it is ours and our right, privilege and obligation to live here, not as a reaction to murder!

Another Murderous Arab Terror Attack

Enough!
'My husband will not return to the community he loved so much'

IDF soldiers, Border Police officers and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) are continuing their pursuit of Arab terrorist Abed al-Karim Adel Assi, who carried out Monday's stabbing attack at the entrance to the city of Ariel, in which Rabbi Itamar Ben Gal was murdered.
Ben Gal's funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:45 a.m. in his community of Har Bracha.
Miriam Ben Gal, the widow of Rabbi Ben Gal, said on Monday night, "This afternoon I lost my husband on the land of Israel, he was murdered because he is Jewish. I am here in my home, in the home that he will not return to. Tomorrow we will bury him here at Har Bracha, in the community he loved and wanted so much to develop."
Stopping Arab terrorism isn't simple. It would help if the Left, the international media and all sorts of NGOs, countries, diplomats etc would stop excusing and rationalizing Arab terrorism. And every Arab terrorist must be either executed on the spot or given an automatic death penalty. They shouldn't get their "day in court," and the Israeli taxpayer shouldn't be supporting them in jail.

World Getting More Dangerous

For all of those who have repeated the awful mantra about Israel being "too dangerous" to go to, I'd like to remind you that the world is getting more and more dangerous. The terrorism that so many found as "only in Israel"has spread far and wide, in Europe and the United States and further afield. Read Ruthie Blum's article,  Germany ‘Waking Up to New Reality’ Similar to Israel’s, Say Frightened Residents in Wake of Shooting, Machete, Suicide-Bombing Attacks by Mideast Refugees. Besides the muslim terrorists, illegals aka refugees, there are the usual American lone shooter nutcases.

(Photo: Kinfay Moroti, The (Fort Myers, Fla.) News-Press) USA Today
For years I've been saying/writing that by making excuses for and accepting the Arab terrorism in Israel, it would just make the terrorists stronger and braver. That's why Arab/moslem terrorism is spreading all over the world.

Since I'm sitting shiva for my brother, I do not have the time to write in any more detail.

Last week, ended with a hail of bullets, a rocket attack...

Last week, ended with a hail of bullets, a rocket attack on a Sderot nursery school, stabbings, murders all perpetrated by Arab Muslims on innocent Jews. They, the Arabs murdered and injured Jews last week, a thirteen 13 year old girl has breathed and danced her last. A father and educator was shot before the eyes of his son, daughter and wife. Other Jews were attacked, injured some seriously for no reason, other than their being Jewish.

If you think such brutal deadly anti-semitism ended with the defeat of Nazi Germany, you're very wrong. Not only are there Arab terrorists who attack and murder Jews, but they are supported by the same countries which were once under Nazi control. Today there are all sorts of funds and projects and NGO sponsored by the EU, the European Union that encourage the Arabs to replace the State of Israel with a new Arab country called "Palestine," sic and attack Jews.

These Arab terror attacks are not limited to Judea, Samaria and other Land Israel liberated in the defensive war, a war for survival, the 1967 Six Days War. Arabs attack Jews in Tel Aviv, Netanya, Sedrot, all over. That's because they don't want any Jews to survive. Yes, that's just like the Nazis.

If The "Condemnation" is Forced/Prompted, Then It's Fake!

Netanyahu: Palestinians Must Condemn Terror, Act to Stop it
unitedwithisrael.org
As in the past, like a broken record, again we hear our Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu begging the P.A.'s Abbas and others to condemn the dastardly murder/stabbing of 13 year old Hallel-Yaffa Ariel.
Now, honestly, how sincere is a forced condemnation?
It's very clear to me that it's fake, a farce, an absolute lie!

Bibi sounds like some pitiful woman, who after being raped begs the rapist to marry her.

And as I had written last night, I was horrified to see that yesterday morning, after the murder, the brutal stabbing of Hallel-Yaffa Ariel, HaYa"D, while she slept in her bed, Israeli television continued to broadcast its programs as if nothing had happened!

Terrible Arab Terror! Yet Again

Murdered: Dafna Meir, HaYa"D,  (left)
Courtesy of the family

Yet again, an innocent Israeli, an innocent Jew was murdered by an Arab terrorist. And yet again it happened in her home. And it seems that yet again the terrorist was "working" nearby. And yet again, a child witnessed the murder of a parent.

How many times must this happen?
When will we ever learn?
When will we ever learn?
The terrible terrorist murder of Dafna Meir, HaYa"D, is so deja vu, isn't it?

And yet again, there's heated discussion on our Shiloh email group about the wisdom and safety of allowing Arabs to work here. The rule is that there is supposed to be a guard. So, there are guards, but how carefully do they guard? In all honesty not at all very well. You'll see some guy with a gun sitting or dozing or reading or studying or whatever on the sidewalk across from a building site, whether a large building or someone's house being renovated, and the guard cannot see all of the Arabs and what they're doing.

And the security here and in other Judea/Samaria communities is better than in the "Israel proper" cities where Arabs walk and work freely and can enter pretty much any place, like those who murdered in the Har Nof synagogue or shot Yehuda Glick etc.

And yet again, the world is silent, especially compared to the hew and cry when Arabs are killed here.

Yet Again

Emergency, Reactions to Terror Havel Havalim

Call this a Havel Havalim, since that's a "brand name" for round-ups of Jewish and Israeli blog posts. During the Succot Holiday, the holiday during which we are commanded by Gd to be joyful, there are families in mourning. Arab terrorists have escalated their attacks on innocent Jews At least four Jews have been murdered by Arab terrorists in barely 48 hours.

I know I'm not the only blogger blogging about it. And it's good that we are blogging, since the mainstream international media have been ignoring these terrible attacks by Arabs.  Beneath the Wings: The un-News discovered that NBC hadn't written about the Henkins' murder.
I had checked a few other news sites Shiloh Musings: World Ignores Terror Murder of Henkin Couple and also found no mention.

Aussie Dave, of Israellycool, must have checked the media sites after I did, because he did find mentions, although the wording distorted the facts. Read Terror In Jerusalem: Two Jews Murdered, Along With The Truth.

Na'ama and Eitam Henkin Haya"d

Sussmans b'Aretz asks a different question: And Who Will Hug Naama's Four Year Old? She has children of similar ages to Na'ama and Eitam Henkin Haya"d. Paula aka A Soldier's Mother also blogged the feelings of a mother in a very moving post, From Paradise to Pain. Here's more from al tishali oti: 4 Orphans. Lauren is a blogger I hadn't read before, but she heard that I was looking for posts and sent me hers,  Again my heart is torn.

Ester's blog post It's All From HaShem: Silence expounds on both themes, that of a mother and the silence of the international media.

Frimet and Arnold Roth are featured in Love of the Land: Truth, honesty, love, murder... and useful idiots They also have their own blog,  THIS ONGOING WAR.

Abu Yehuda writes about other terror attacks, too in Wanted: a somewhat less murderous Palestinian Authority.

FirstOneThrough compares the official reactions of the United Nations to the Arab terrorist murder of the Henkins to an unsolved crime against Arabs,  UN Comments on the Murder of Innocents: Henkins.

There are a lot of important points here; Esser Agaroth (2¢): Arabs Murdered Jews, so Beware of Jewish Terrorists!

Israel Matzav reports on the heart-braking funeral of the Henkins.  Heart-rending: 9-year old Matan Henkin says Kaddish for his parents.

This is not for children to have to say at a young age, but he had no choice. He's old enough to understand.  May Gd comfort the family and give them strength and health.

No Surprise: Rivlin's Bending Over Leftwards

Well, it seems that Ruby Rivlin, the Revisionist and Betari from birth, from the most distinguished of true settler families, has joined all the other so called Right politicians and is falling Leftwards from his office as President of the State of Israel.
Rivlin at Gonen Shiva
Mark Neyman (GPO)
Rivlin and the Bereaved Mother: The Story Gets WorsePresident Reuven Rivlin angered the bereaved family of Danny Gonen instead of comforting them when he visited them on their shiva – the seven-day mourning period – and new details have emerged on just how badly the president has apparently handled the situation.
As reported by Arutz Sheva Friday, Assaf Golan, an editor at Makor Rishon, who visited the family, posted on Facebook Thursday night that the bereaved mother, Dvora Gonen, was in a furious emotional state during the shiva, after public officials and senior IDF officers who came to visit her told her that her son is to blame for his death. “Worst of all” was President Rivlin, who said that if Danny Gonen had been carrying a gun, the terror attack would never have happened.... (Arutz 7)
Could it be that Ruby was always a bit soft in his ideology, or unlike the Leftists who preceded him as President, he thinks he has to be a Centrist to be a good national leader? That is my big problem with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. I heard him state equivalently that although he can prove the Right is right, he thinks as Prime Minister he must move to the Left, which he calls Center.

They all base this on the precedent of Menachem Begin who after being elected (yes indirectly as party leader and forming the ruling coalition as is the Israeli system) Prime Minister in 1977, reversed his lifelong ideology/policies and destroyed Jewish towns and villages in order to give the Sinai to Egypt.

I guess I shouldn't be all that surprised that Ruby had the unmitigated gall to blame the victim of Arab terrorism instead of blaming Arab culture and society and that so-called "partner for peace," the P.A.'s  Abbas for supporting terrorists and their families.

U.S. Government Cares More for Dead TIT (Terrorist in Training) than Murdered Tot!

The fact that there are Arabs in Israel with American citizenship is no surprise, and that these Americans are involved with terrorist activities against Israel isn't a surprise either. The Barack Hussein Obama government doesn't look at these terrorists as terrorists. He/they/it sees them as innocent Americans, and that is something that the Israeli Government should take very seriously.

The outrage and anger of the Americans over the death of the rioting of Orwah Hammad is disproportionate to the actual event/situation.
In Washington, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki called for a "speedy and transparent investigation."
"The United States expresses its deepest condolences to the family of a U.S. citizen minor who was killed by the Israeli Defense Forces during clashes in Silwad on October 24," Psaki said.
She added that U.S. officials would remain "closely engaged with the local authorities, who have the lead on this investigation." (Reuters)

Masked Palestinian protesters burn tyres during clashes with Israeli soldiers following a protest against the near-by Jewish settlement of Qadomem, in the West Bank village of Kofr Qadom near Nablus October 24, 2014.
 REUTERS/Abed Omar Qusini

I purposely used the word "disproportionate," because it has become a favorite of the Americans in condemning Israel.

The response of the State Department to the murder of the innocent baby girl, an American citizen, who was visiting Israel with her parents was barely tepid.
"The baby was an American citizen," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters in a briefing on Thursday. (Reuters)
Obama's government totally ignored the fact that an Arab had rammed into a crowded train/trolley stop and injured many, including some who are in critical condition and may not survive. Please pray for Yemima bat Sara.

A terror attack and a legitimate policing action are not the same. There is never an excuse for terror, while every government has the right and obligation to quell riots with all means necessary according to the level of violence of the rioters.

My conclusion:
This is further proof that the American Government should not be seen as a true friend and ally of Israel!

Wonderful Ending to 5774 With Capture/Execution of Arab Terrorists Guilty of Murdering Jewish Teens

Oops that title is too long...

Many of us in Israel and even other parts of the world are breathing a sigh of relief at the deaths of the two Arab terrorist murderers who had kidnapped the three teenage boys this summer and murdered them in cold blood.

Millions of people all over the world, Jews and non-Jews alike united to pray for the safe return of Eyal Yifrah, Gilad Sha'ar and Naftali Frenkel, but that was impossible. The boys had all been murdered a short time after their kidnapping.

This has been an awful summer between the kidnapping, murders and then the war. For Israelis in the south, it was especially bad when security forces revealed that the Gazan Arab terrorists have been building an amazingly advanced and sophisticated network of tunnels which reach into Israeli communities. It's like knowing that there's a serial rapist who can enter your home at will.

The war, which the government refuses to "label" as war for "financial considerations" ended with a whimper and can very easily resume. The enemy wasn't defeated. The Gazan Arab Hamas terrorists are just "re-arming," and there's more and more pressure on Israel to acquiesce to a Palestine in our midst, which will just endanger us even more.

IDF Blog
In this morose, suddenly there was a bit of light, something to make us proud and joyful. The Arab terrorists who kidnapped and murdered the three teens were found and killed.
The Israel Border Police's vaunted YAMAM counter-terrorist unit on Tuesday stormed a building in Hebron that was housing the wanted Palestinians suspected of kidnapping and murdering three yeshiva students in June.
In the raid, the team of crack commandos exchanged gunfire with the wanted Palestinians, killing them. (Jerusalem Post)
The families all expressed satisfaction in this successful action, even though nothing will bring back their sons.

It's a fitting ending to the Jewish Year.

No Parallel, Similarity between Murders of Eyal, Naftali and Gil-Ad with that of Mohammed

It may make good politics and media op for Jerusalem Mayor's politically correct joint phone call with family members of both Jewish and Arab victims, but I find the act very offensive.
During his condolence call at Nof Ayalon, Barkat spoke with Naftali Frankel’s uncle, Yishai, and, by telephone, with Abu Khdeir’s father, Hussein.
Speaking “in the name of the citizens of Jerusalem,” Barkat expressed to Hussein his shock “over the horrible and barbaric slaying of his son,” a statement from his office said. (Algemeiner)
funeral of 3 Jewish teens
The arrest of Jews for the murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir has everyone I know feeling physically ill and completely baffled, while there were great celebrations in Arab towns and villages all over the night the three Jewish teenagers were kidnapped and murdered.

Avishai Raviv
And we still don't know if the arrested Jews are really guilty. In the corner of my mind I keep hearing the name "Avishai Raviv," the Shabak agent who had a very long career egging on Right wing Jewish teens to further extremism culminating in the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, and I wonder what is really behind this murder if it was really by Jews.

The Jerusalem Post now reports that one Jew has confessed, and we are waiting for facts.

Before equating the murders we must hear the same sorts of condemnation from Arabs of all walks of life about the murder of Jews as we hear from Jews about the murder of an Arab. That would be a sign that they are getting closer, but words aren't enough. While Jews are sick at the idea that there could possibly be a Jew willing and capable of such a murder, we have not heard any equivalent reactions from Arabs. That's all further proof that we are very far from true peace. There is no equivalency between the murders!

Compare the Funerals, And The Mourning

Here's a picture I took at the funeral of Gilad Shaar and Naftali Frenkel, both 16, and Eyal Yifrach, 19, HaYa"D, at the Modiin Cemetery where they were buried.

The mourners were quiet and stoic. And here's one from an angle I couldn't take.

And here's how the Arabs are mourning:

All of this is something to think about...

Apparently, the Arab rioters so badly damaged the lightrail tracks and equipment in the  Shuafat and Beit Hanina neighborhoods of Jerusalem that the trains will no longer be able to travel through there. That leaves Pisgat Zeev without train service. More buses will have to be added to service those neighborhoods which are as populated as many Israeli cities. I, too, along with many residents of the Benjamin, Samaria and Jordan Valley take the train to and from Pisgat Zeev as part of our traveling to and from Jerusalem. There will now be more traffic on the roads and more crowded buses. I suggest that the city and the CityPass directors decide to change the route, leaving out the Arab neighborhoods. They should build a direct route straight from Pisgat Zeev to French Hill. It will make the train safer all around and a quicker ride for us.

Postmortem: Was The Israeli Government Wrong to Give The Impression The Kidnapped Teens Were Alive?

Writing another postmortem on the Arab terrorist kidnapping of the three Jewish teenagers, I feel it necessary to delve into the snowballing issue of whether or not the Israeli government was right to give the impression that the kidnapped boys were alive, even though they knew perfectly well that the boys had been murdered. Once they took the phone call seriously, they heard the sound of the shots. Also the sounds of hysterical partying and celebrations coming from Arab villages that night should have had raised suspicions. Many of us, far from any official security sources suspected that the boys had been murdered immediately after their capture. And we felt that the type of searches the IDF was doing showed that the army considered them dead.

Some people, like Noam Sheizaf in 972 consider the official line that the boys are still alive to have had been a manipulation of the families and public.
Details under gag order could have suggested early on that the abducted teens were murdered. The government-led campaign calling for their release helped the legitimacy of Israel’s military operation in the West Bank. Local and even international media played along. The following issue is not the heart of the kidnapping affair, the Israeli military operation or its aftermath — but it does carry an important lesson, especially for journalists. The bottom line is this: the Israeli public has been manipulated.
To be honest, I think that the government did the right thing.

From the beginning of the search and certainly after hearing the emergency call, it was pretty clear that there would not be a happy ending to the story. Even if the boys were "just wounded," the chance of any of them getting proper medical care and surviving was pretty slim. Thirty-one years ago, Aaron Gross, HaYa"D was stabbed in Hebron and left to bleed to death in an Arab hospital.

But of course, our Jewish and Israeli history is full of amazing unexpected survival and victories. Otherwise we'd be just a short postscript or footnote in massive volumes of ancient history. There wouldn't be a State of Israel today nor a Jewish People if our survival was dependent on the normal rules/laws of nature.

Was it a cruel manipulation of the families and public to keep up hope that these three rather ordinary teens, who liked sports, music and normal teen activities as their families described, were alive and waiting to be rescued?

I think it would have had been a gazillion times worse if the parents and public had been told they were dead and they were in fact fighting for life. How many times had "experts" predicted the end of the Jewish People and here we are thriving despite the terrorism and antisemitism in this world?

If the families had campaigned for their sons' dead bodies for proper burial, would that have been as effective and moving? Would the parents had preferred that? The rallying cry would have been "We want to bury our sons" instead of "We want to hug our sons." I can't speak for the families.

Bat-Galim and Ofir Sha'ar
Flash 90
I certainly sympathize with the anger of the families in the delayed search, because for whatever reason, the police didn't take the call seriously.
An angry Bat-Galim Sha'ar, mother of Gilad (16), who along with Eyal Yifrah (19) and Naftali Frenkel (16) was kidnapped and murdered by Hamas terrorists, on Wednesday leveled harsh criticism at top security officials.
Unfortunately, it seems that the boys were already dead before the earliest the police could have begun searching.

None of these arguments will bring back Eyal Yifrah, Gilad Shaar, and Naftali Frenkel HaYa"D. All the arguing and condemnation will do is to destroy the unity we achieved while searching and praying for the boys.

Shabbat Shalom u'Mevorach
May You Have a Peaceful and Blessed Shabbat

A War of Rockets, Fires and Words

A good friend of mine who lives in Southern Israel was awakened by red alert, emergency alarms at 4:24am.
"Good morning ladies At 4:24 this morning our yishiv was rudely awaken by 2 double sirens. We get Grads. Not a nice way to wake up."
There are times, much too frequently even though even once is more than enough, when her house shakes and booms fill the air. So far, each time she reports that they are fine. But no country should accept this as "normal" for their citizens to be targeted by missile fire.

As I write this, more alarms and missiles destroy what should be summer calm in Israel.
"And again a double siren with very loud booms...."
This is no "Summertime and the living is easy..."

Real life is no fairy tale.
We have only 15 seconds to get to safety. We are fortunate that we only have to get the dog to safety. But a house full of young children it is a nightmare..totally impossible. Kids are crying and frightened. Not nice at all.
Will those carefully "targeted attacks" by the IDF on Gaza really destroy the Arab terrorists' structure and morale?
Israel Air Force (IAF) aircraft targeted 15 terror sites in Gaza on Wednesday night.
According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the airstrikes targeted concealed rocket launchers, training compounds and weapons storage sites, all of which belong to the Hamas terrorist group.
The statement said that the airstrikes were in retaliation for the latest escalation in rocket attacks on southern Israel.
No matter what "brave words" come out of the Israeli Government, unfortunately, I doubt if this retaliation will end Arab terrorism against Israel and Israelis.
"A wide-ranging intelligence effort is underway to find the killers," Ya'alon said. "We will pursue them until we get our hands on them."
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman called for a military offensive along the lines of Operation Defensive Shield, Israel's operation against Palestinian terrorist groups in Judea and Samaria in 2002.
We've tried this too many times and it's a waste of bullets and manpower. Each time the Arab terrorists come out stronger. What can I say?  It's like mowing the lawn to make the grass stronger. We are just mowing down terrorism instead of pulling it out from the roots and totally destroying it.

It also really galls me when Jews are too quick to condemn Jews for the murder of Arabs. As angry as we are, and as much as we shout, it's extremely rare for Jews to act on it. I totally agree with Lori Lowenthal Marcus's Jewish Press article:
The public statement, “JCPA Mourns Palestinian Teenager, Calls for an End to Violence,” was posted on its website just after mid-day on Wednesday, July 2, less than 12 hours after news that an Arab teenage boy had been found dead in Jerusalem.
And yet, although JCPA President Rabbi Steven Gutow noted in the statement that, “the circumstances of his death remain uncertain,” the same sentence then takes a sharp turn and places the blame squarely on Israel: “it appears that Mohammed was not a party to nor instigator of the tragic events of recent days and weeks. But he now has paid the ultimate price regardless.”
So although no one yet knows for certain how the teenager died or who was responsible, the JCPA publicly drew a target on the back of the Jewish State. Not content to simply act as judge and jury, the JCPA proceeded to send out the statement to its members across the country, inviting everyone to embrace its judgment – that Israel or individual Israelis are responsible for the abu Khaider’s murder, and pronouncing the murder a revenge attack.
I also recommend reading the Arutz 7 article that gives good reasons to put the blame/guilt on Arabs not Jews.
Arab riot in response to murder
Flash 90
A senior former police official argues that the abduction and murder of the Arab youth who was found dead Wednesday morning was most likely a criminal act, rejecting the claim that Jewish "revenge" for the murdered Israeli teens lay behind it.
The official noted that the family of the murdered 16-year-old was well known to police sources in Jerusalem, adding "it's a problematic family with internal clashes that have been ongoing for many years."
"I have no doubt that as time passes it will be clarified that the murder was criminal and nothing more," declared the official, who spoke to Arutz Sheva on condition of anonymity.
My first reaction upon hearing of the dead Arab was that he was killed by fellow Arabs for possibly condemning the murder of the Jewish boys. It's doubtful that I have the reason right, but violence of the fatal kind is much more common among Arabs than Jews, and whenever possible people do try to pin on Jews.

I'd say that it's an easy bet to say that if the murder is solved, the guilty party will be shown to be an Arab, not a Jew!

The Funeral of the Three Murdered Israeli Jewish Teenagers, I Was There

There must have had been hundred of thousands of people who attended the funeral of the three murdered teenagers, because I was there and the mobs of people extended so far and wide, and the number of buses and private vehicles was larger than anyone could count. We had to walk miles, not just kilometers (which is a shorter distance) to go from where the bus dropped us off and then waited until we found it, until we got to a place where we could barely hear the loudspeakers amplifying what was happening around the graves.

So many people of all ages were there, even though it was a rough hike at times to just arrive near the cemetery.

It was a youth movement hike without the singing.

People made every effort, though the weather, even late afternoon was brutal.

We finally reached a point where we could hear the loudspeakers but couldn't see anything but crowds of people in all directions. That's where we stopped.

Many people felt ill from the heat, and although we had seen lots of ambulances and motorcycle first aid vehicles, help came from people nearby passing along water and juice.

The crowd was quiet, sad and emotionally exhausted after the long two and half weeks of searching, praying and hope. Everyone was in pain. You didn't need to know the boys or their families. The murderous attack was random though well-planned. It could have happened to anyone.

Walking back to find the buses afterwards, groups of men stopped and said the Mincha, afternoon prayer in minyan, quorums of the required ten or more. Our Shiloh bus took so long to fill that the men even called a Ma'ariv, Evening Prayer.

We arrived home very, very late.

HaMakom yinachem...
May G-d comfort the mourners...

And may G-d give wisdom to the politicians in government who are supposed to be leading us. May they make the right decisions. We must defeat Arab terrorism or these scenes will just keep on repeating themselves! We cannot make peace with terrorists who are out to destroy and murder us!!!
