Gaza War Musings #79 STRANGE Timing-- Very Suspicious-- Follow The Money

Am I the only one getting more and more curious and suspicious about how rapidly the anti-Israel pro-Intifada, "Death to the IDF" demonstrations took over the world after Israel was brutally and perversely attacked on October 7, 2023?

Who was behind it?

Follow the Money...

There wasn't a "simple" military attack on Israel. Well prepared and armed Gazan terrorists attacked innocent Israeli civilians and visitors. It was obvious that the Israeli victims were taken by surprise. They suffered murder, rape and even desecration of bodies, and the Arab terrorists, young and old, publicly bragged on social media of their perverse cruelty and enthusiastic killing. In some cases, they even took the cellphones of their victims to proudly publicize their crimes.

More than 1,400 Israelis, including Arabs, visitors and foreign workers were murdered in the most barbaric ways.

More than 5,500 people were wounded.

251 hostages were taken to Gaza strip. Govt info

How would you expect the world to react to such crimes?

How did the world react? Israel was condemned for existing. The posters and T-shirts seem to have already been printed for the demonstrators. There was nothing spontaneous in the condemnation of Israel.

Please think about it... As time goes on, I'm getting more and more suspicious. Foreign governments and NGOs had to have known in advance. Something stinks...

I'd like your opinion. Share to others, please.

Objective Journalism, Does it Exist?

I used to be a real newshound, addicted to listening to the news, reading whatever newspapers I could find, watching news shows. Yes, the whole works. And I loved the dynamics of politics ever since I was a teen. Now, as you may have noticed from the blog posts here, I'm disgusted and horrified.

There is nothing that even vaguely resembles objective news reporting. Not only do they all have their agendas, but there's no such thing as fact checking. It's beyond ignorance. There's an innocence in ignorance, but nowadays a don't see that at all. There are vicious attacks, like a modern version of the auto-da-fé.
An auto-da-fé or auto-de-fé (from Portuguese auto da fé [ˈaw.tu dɐ ˈfɛ], meaning "act of faith") was the ritual of public penance of condemned heretics and apostates that took place when the Spanish Inquisition, Portuguese Inquisition or the Mexican Inquisition had decided their punishment, followed by the execution by the civil authorities of the sentences imposed.
The most extreme punishment imposed on those convicted was execution by burning. In popular usage, the term auto-da-fé, the act of public penance, came to mean the burning at the stake. Wikipedia
Media interviews are more like either vicious interrogations or the fawning style seen in simplistic fan magazines of old.

At first I was very excited to discover that we could watch BBC News on our television, since I had happily listened to the radio version for decades. Then I had considered it, except for news on Israel*, pretty objective. But as the last American Presidential Campaign began to heat up, their support for Hillary and the Democrats so distorted their reports I could no longer trust their objectivity about anything. And not only hasn't it gotten better, it has gotten much worse. We don't have cable, just a simple "dish," and recently we don't even get the Israeli stations. CNN was never known for its objectivity.

Then  I discovered the English French TV News Channel, and I had great hopes for it, since it's not that interested in American news. I began watching it, but then they began a feature about the Israel-Arab "conflict." It begins with:
"In 1967  Israel invaded..."
Grrr... That's what people all over the world think, and what is taught in universities even in the USA. And I have this nasty, frightening feeling that even some Israelis are oblivious to the facts, the Arab aggression that led up to the 1967 Six Days War. In order to survive, Israel had no choice other than shoot first.

About thirty 30 years ago, in the days when we hosted many journalists of an amazing selection of international media, I had a talk with a top editor of an American newspaper. I asked him what training, education he looked for when hiring someone starting in the profession. He said that he does not like to hire those with degrees in journalism, since they don't know anything other than how to write. He looks for those who majored in History, Economics, Science etc.
"Any knowledgeable university graduate can be taught how to write a good article, but I can't teach a Journalism graduate facts."
Things have changed drastically in the international media. I no longer have objective sources to learn current events and get an accurate idea of what's really happening in politics. I just know what's happening on the ground here in Israel, but not from the media. Today fake news is all over, and when trying to check accuracy, you really need to be an expert. This is both dangerous and sad. People are making decisions based on lies, fantasies, fake news and worse.

I can't see how it will get better. I am pessimistic for the future.

Here's a picture of a program from the French news channel.

*During the Intifada Part 1, I was horrified to hear an excited BBC radio reporter telling that he was with Arabs throwing rocks on Jews and how they tried to protect their eyes from the teargas the Israeli soldiers aimed at them to stop them. And in those days BBC even came to our house to film us and ask us questions.

Intifada, Dirty Schmatta-- It's War!

I don't count "intifadas." Arab terrorism, attacks against Jews predate the State of Israel. And from the time the deadly attacks were labeled "intifada," I never heard the Arab enemy/terrorists ever announcing an end. So when I began hearing talk of a second intifada going on I got confused. And now there's talk of a third intifada. For me it's just more episodes of the very same war the Arabs have been waging against us for over a hundred years.

All this Intifada, Dirty Schmatta business is a bunch of poppycock to be honest. The politicians, diplomats, media and military big shots are afraid of the truth. They don't want to admit that we Israelis are being attacked by an enemy that wants to destroy our country. The truth is that we are at war, but we're not fighting back. We are not trying to defeat our Arab enemies who are growing stronger and more internationally people all the time. We're using "cold cream" on skin cancer, perfum on gangrene.

I am embarrassed and scared, too.  At least I can say that I didn't vote Likud! But my dinky little blog here doesn't have a chance in hell to change Israeli policy. Does it?

Ahmad Gharabli/AFP

I strongly believe that it's the fear, yes, fear of a "Palestinian State" that is causing Israeli Arabs and those in Judea and Samaria to get violent. I firmly believe that the vast majority do not want to live in an Arab state. The truth is that they  feel happier and safer and more secure in the democratic and just State of Israel that they'd be in an Arab country, especially the new one that is being promoted by pretty much every country in the world including Israel!

Israeli Arabs riot LPH
It's no secret that Fatah and Hamas which would be running such a state are horrendously corrupt and violent. As Arabs fear the day that they'd be under such rule gets closer, Gd forbid!, they are now trying to make sure they'll be favored by the new bosses/government. Some of you may be wondering why Israeli Arabs are acting up. Don't forget that some Israeli politicians have proposed "land swaps" as part of the offers to the Arabs. If you listen carefully to the Israeli Leftists you will hear that they want to reduce the amount of Arabs in Israel as much as possible. So it's no surprise that Israeli Arabs do not feel very welcome or secure in the State of Israel.

So, what do I propose? OK, it's a two pronged platform:

  1. First of all, and this is possibly most difficult, Israel--Right, Left and Center-- must cease its support for the "Two State Solution" aka a Palestinian State. As part of this, the powers of the PA-Palestinian Authority must be reduced to zero. Step one is the declaration of full Israeli Sovereignty on all of the Land we hold from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River. Israeli citizenship will not be granted automatically. There must be a process like in many western countries which involves accepting laws and swearing allegiance to the state. And of course Jewish communities will be allowed to grow and built and multiply. The State of Israel must make it clear to all that this is our Land and we are not giving it away.
  2. Acts of terror against Israelis will be prosecuted strongly, and all Arabs who attempt to murder Jews must be executed. Foreign agents for NGO's, UN etc. who encourage any sort of actions against Israel's sovereignty are to be deported and declared persona non grata. Zero tolerance for terror against Jews means just that. Parents of underage terrorists will also be declared legally responsible. Not only will this stop terrorism, but it will stop the Jewish retaliations.
I do not claim instant peace if the Israeli Government takes my advice. It will take time, but as we see with all of today's anti-Jewish violence, which are acts of war against Israel, the methods used by successive Israeli governments have been totally ineffective. The violence is spreading. This is a war against the State of Israel!! And we must fight it completely!

Dangers for Israel From Tinseltown

This morning's editorial "Obama’s message" in the Jerusalem Post seems to have been written by a committee.  Some parts are good, others awful and others are best described as "peculiar." The Jerusalem Post sums it up as:
The US president has just launched a bombshell aimed, apparently, at pressuring Netanyahu into accepting Washington’s proposed framework agreement.
They got right the fact that Kerry and Obama have been given scripts by their speechwriters to play the good cop versus bad cop in terms of Israel.  Kerry's handlers have been trying to sweeten his rhetoric especially after his third intifada threat against Israel was taken rather badly here.
US Secretary of State John Kerry launched an unusually bitter public attack on Israeli policies in the West Bank Thursday, warning that if current peace talks fail, Israel could see a third intifada and growing international isolation, and that calls for boycott, divestment and sanctions would increase. Kerry made the comments during a joint interview with Israel’s Channel 2 and the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation

It seems like he got some new speechwriters or the old ones were given different orders/guidelines. United States Secretary of State Kerry has been given the enjoyable job of getting cheers from Jewish audiences, such as at the AIPAC conference in Washington, but it doesn't mean that the Obama government's policy is good for Israel.
Israel’s security "is our first priority," he said, adding, “When [Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu] says, ‘I can’t accept a deal which doesn’t make the people of Israel safer’, I agree 100%.”
Kerry further declared that the United States "will not let the West Bank turn into another Gaza," explaining that it was for this reason that he brought John Allen to work with all sides to make the borders of the future Palestinian state as secure as any other.
“We understand Israel has to be strong in order to make peace. But we also understand that peace will make Israel stronger,” he stated.
Remember that a speech is just a speech.  It's no more real than Cinderella or Snow White.

The Americans love a good show, and the "Obama team," those who have been promoting the tall, thin, photogenic half-Black Obama the past couple of decades are professionals in producing "real life fairy tales." But we mustn't be blinded by the flashing lights and all the hoopla surrounding these American productions.

Secretary of State John Kerry is trying to force a peace plan upon Israel – the side prepared to make painful concessions – and the Palestinian Arabs. However, even before he can divulge his shimmering new “framework,” the Palestinian Arab leadership is making it clear it has no interest in genuine, peaceful co-existence and recognition of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people. PA President Abbas recently issued a set of maximalist red lines for “peace” that cancels out any possibility for success, thus killing it in the womb. These PA red lines include: a) Total Israeli withdrawal from all territories captured by Israel in 1967 within 3 to 4 years b) No recognition of Israel as the Jewish state c) “East” Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian state d) Release of all Palestinian Arab prisoners held by Israel regardless of crimes committed e) The “right of return” – a judenrein Palestinian Arab state and millions of the descendants of 1948 Arab refugees being able to “return” to Israel, swamping it demographically, thus putting an end to the Jewish state.

The Time has come to Recognize What The American Government Really Is

This isn't the first time that the message from the Obama Government is to ignore Israeli Intelligence and advice.

Jewish Press

Just because the United States is larger and richer doesn't make its policies more intelligent or correct. Any open-minded student of Modern History can easily list a long variety of American mistakes.

It wasn't all that long ago that the American governmental "experts" insisted that Israel had fabricated anti-Syrian news about chemical weapons.  Obama's Government is still having trouble keeping up with Israeli discoveries and Intelligence data.
The U.S. Finally Realized: The Syrian Chemical Weapons Fraud
The U.S. confirmed today what Israeli sources have already reported: Syria is hiding parts of its chemical weapon caches.iHLS has published an article a few days ago under the headline “The Biggest Hoax – “Syria Clean of Chemical Weapons”. In Israel they realized early that the Syrians were lying, while in the U.S. it took a while.
United States Secretary of State John Kerry is one of the most antagonistic, ignorant and anti-Israel American officials we've yet to suffer.  Kerry's threats of Arab terror violence unless we kowtow to American pressure shows which side of the fence he is on.  It's not Israel's for sure, and he's not on the fence as a neutral mediator.
US Secretary of State John Kerry, using the bully tactics of his boss Barack Obama, warned Israel that if Israeli-Palestinian talks break down, there might be a third intifada. Kerry’s one-sided warning was even more astounding when this fact is thrown in the mix: two days before he shot off his mouth, a poll conducted by the Arab World For Research & Development showed that only 29% of West Bank and Gaza Palestinians would be in favor of a third intifada, even though 60% believe it could happen. What this despicable action by Kerry means is that Kerry has now tacitly given a green light for Palestinian terrorists to wage a third intifada against Israel. The Palestinians don’t want one, but the U.S. is now saying that they have justification because of Israel’s intransigence.
Reports from those who have heard his briefings aren't any better.
“It was fairly anti-Israeli,” Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) said to reporters after the briefing. “I was supposed to disbelieve everything the Israelis had just told me, and I think the Israelis probably have a pretty good intelligence service.” He said the Israelis had told him that the “total changes proposed set back the program by 24 days.” A Senate aide told BuzzFeed that during the meeting, “every time anybody would say anything about ‘what would the Israelis say,’ they’d get cut off and Kerry would say, ‘You have to ignore what they’re telling you, stop listening to the Israelis on this.’” “They had no details,” the aide said. “They had no ability to verify anything, to describe anything, to answer basic questions.” Republicans and Democrats alike have questioned the sagacity of removing sanctions at this point in the negotiations, rather than ratcheting them up now, and then dialing them back down if an acceptable deal is reached.

It's time for Israel to listen and take seriously that we do not have true allies in the American Government's top echelons. The United States, including its President Obama, Vice President Biden and Secretary of State Kerry, does not behave like a true, respectful ally of Israel.  It's time for us in Israel to recognize that fact and go it "alone."  In actuality, we won't truly be alone.  We will again benefit from G-d's miracles and protection.

Journalists Making The News, Rather Than Just Reporting It

In recent years there have been too many reports of Arab terror attacks and riots instigated/directed/inspired by journalists.  They get paid to show action, and the Arabs love to cooperate.  Having an audience well equipped with cameras to record Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers injured and cowering is great encouragement for them.

algemeiner.com just published a video which shows how this is done.

You can easily see how the journalists are well-dressed/equipped for the occasion with flak jackets, helmets etc.

Screen shot of Palestinian Arabs using press as cover to attack the IDF. Photo: Youtube/The Commentator.

A video has surfaced, posted to the website The Commentator, that purports to show several Palestinian Arabs hiding behind members of the press while hurling rocks and firebombs at the IDF. Taking cover behind a low wall, the attackers use members of the press, which number around 5 or 6, as cover to attack the Israeli soldiers.

This reminds me of a BBC Radio report I heard over twenty years ago, when the Intifada was a new Arab term for attacking Jews.   I don't number them since I've never heard of an official end.  It comes and goes in waves but never totally stops.  In that report, the radio journalist made it clear that he was crouched together with the attacking Arabs as they threw rocks and bricks at Israelis. You could hear the noises and his uncontrolled excitement. The IDF began responding with teargas, and the journalist told us how the Arabs had come equipped with cloths and remedies to protect their eyes and lungs from it.  He very emotionally described how parents comforted their children and covered their eyes to protect them.  It was 100% clear that the journalist was totally identified with the Arab attackers and considered this a great adventure for himself.

Unfortunately, not only foreign journalists identify with the Arabs who attack Israel, so do Israeli journalists, politicians and academics. They consider themselves "post-Zionists."  But to tell you the truth, there has always been Zionist, mostly Left-Labor who considered it important to give the Arabs their own country next to the State of Israel, even before the establishment of the state.  It's not enough that the British imported the Hashemites and gave them Transjordan to rule, but the United Nations Partition Plan, approved by David Ben-Gurion's followers, allocated most of what was left of the British Mandate of Palestine to the Arabs.

The World expected the Arabs to defeat us in 1948 and at best we'd be governed by a continuation of the Mandate.  Luckily G-d had other plans.

There's nothing new in journalists trying to make news; they just can't make facts out of lies.
