History of Jordan and Palestine in a Nutshell

 

A little history...

East of these mountains I can see from my house is Jordan...

Here's the very short history of Jordan. It was invented by Britain when they were looking for someone to hold onto the eastern part of the Mandate. The entire Mandate was supposed to become a Jewish State. So the Brits imported a foreign sheik, Abdulla and made up the "Kingdom of Jordan."

Then they and their buddies in the newly formed UN decided that the Jews should share what was left with another Arab "nation", as if Abdulla wasn't Arab. They drew a map, which resembled blood splatter, and told the Jews, grandparents and parent of those rioting against Bibi, that they could have the splotches while the rest would go to the "palestinians." And that's how that "nation" was born.

I've always opposed the celebration of the 29th of November, 1947, when the infant, newly established, United Nations voted "approval" of a Jewish State. This "state" they approved of was to have such absurd borders that its days were numbered, since it wouldn't be viable. 

A short few decades before the Balfour Declaration had declared that the British Mandate would establish a Jewish State in what they called Palestine, which was then an undeveloped piece of Land on both sides of the Jordan River. At that point there was trickle of Jews trying to establish agricultural settlements and bring the barren land back to life. 

There had always been a Jewish presence in various cities, even after the destruction of the Second Holy Temple. Zionist pioneers began changing the Jewish attitude towards Jewish sovereignty. The Arab communities were mostly in a few Arab cities and villages, plus some nomads. There was no history of local Arab nationalism.

Great Britain went against its mandate to establish a Jewish State in the land by bringing in a foreign clan, the Hashemites, and invented the kingdom of Jordan sic on the eastern bank of the Jordan River. And then to make matters even worse for the Jewish People, the members of the United Nations decided to invent a second Arab to share the western side of the Jordan River with Israel. But as I stated earlier, nobody expected the Jewish State to survive. That made it easy for countries to vote on the 29th of November, 1947, for a Jewish State. Because the truth is that those countries didn't really want a Jewish State to exist. Maybe a few did think a Jewish State should exist, but that nascent state wasn't given a fighting chance. Britain armed the Arabs and trained them in warfare, and no country gave the State of Israel any help.

Here we are seventy-five 75 years later, and things haven't changed much. The United Nations condemns Israel more than it condemns any other country, and our so-called allies are having fits because Israel hasn't returned land to the Jordanian aggressor from the 1967 Six Day War. They call Israel an apartheid country, but insist that Judea/Samaria be free of Jews. The latest is that they're condemning Israel for giving recognition to a few Jewish communities. They act like they're our bosses, and that they have approval rights for what we do.

Promoting "Palestine" is Like Holocaust Denial

Here in Israel we continue to pay a very heavy price for our existance. Israel, the Ancient Biblical Homeland of the Jews, well documented in archeology and history, is attacked by terrorists, bullets, axes, words and international proclamations.

Is the promotion of a "Palestinian State" an innocent mistake?

No, not at all.

From the beginning, when Hadrian invaded Jewish Judea-Samaria and replaced those names with "Palestine," his aim was to distort history and hide the Jewish National connection to the land.

The name "Palestine" stuck for one big reason; as Tom Lehrer sang "everyone hates the Jews." 

Thousands of years later, when Great Britain was mandated to facilitate the establishment of a Jewish State (see Balfour Declaration) in "Palestine," sic that name was still stuck on the map, even though a country of that name covering that area had never existed. There had always been a Jewish presence in the Holy Land, even after the destruction of the Second Temple and successive invaders ruled from afar. Britain took over from the Turks. The area they held covered both the east and western banks of the Jordan, all the way west until the Mediterranean Sea. According to the Mandate, all was supposed to be a Jewish State. 

Great Britain was enamored with the local nomadic romanticized Arabs and preferred them to the Jews, both the religious ones in the holy cities and the Zionist pioneers working hard to make the Land fruitful.

As part of Britain's attempt to sabotage a Jewish State, it brought in and promoted the Hashemites as rulers over the eastern bank of the Jordan and eventually invented a new country of various tribes where there had never been one. That's called Jordan today.

Despite lackluster international support, at best, the State of Israel thrives. With the Help of Gd we have been victorious in all the wars against us.

On the whole, though, international media and academics refuse to recognize Jewish rights and history to the Land and have been inventing and supporting the lie of Palestine sic.

This actually predates the Holocaust and has continued to this very day. Yes, Tom Lehrer got it right.

Last Sunday we attended a gala Betar reunion in the Jerusalem Theater, and part of the program was singing the old Betar songs. Of course, שתי גדות לירדן Shtay Gadot LaYarden, Both/Two Sides of the Jordan was included.

I always get a kick out of that song. I always wonder if there's anyone besides us whose house faces that very view. Our house faces east. That's why I can take pictures of the sunrise. East of Shiloh is the Jordan Valley, and east of that is the Jordan River. And on the other side of the Jordan River is the British invented Hashemite "Kingdom" of Jordan, which is on the eastern bank of the river.

Yes, on a clear day or night, we can see both sides of the Jordan from our house, including lights at night. Sorry for illustrating this post with a morning photo, which doesn't the eastern mountains.

Two 2 State "Solution" Oxymoron

The meaning of the word Oxymoron:

a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect

Since two states aren't a solution to the violence here between the Arabs and Israel, the "Two 2 State Solution is an Oxymoron for sure.

Our Arab enemies, the terrorists, the PA-Palestinian Authority etcetera all reject the continued viable existence of the State of Israel, it's clear that giving them a state will only cause more wars, terrorism and bloodshed. Taking that simple basic fact into account, then it's clear that according to the basic Arab aim, there can never be peace, a solution, with two states, one Israel and one Palestine. I don't even think that there can be two peaceful states if they are Jordan and Palestine. And don't forget that Jordan practices ethnic cleansing, apartheid against Jews. Besides Israeli tourists, who are very restricted, foreigners who don't admit to be Jewish and the Israeli diplomats, you're not going to find many or any Jews in Jordan.

And the Hashemite rulers/occupiers of Transjordan aka Jordan aren't at all enthusiastic about giving the so-called Palestinians more authority, weapons, recognition a "state," because that struggling kingdom has been threatened by the same Arab terrorists who terrorize Israel.

For decades, various international leaders, NGOs etc have been trying to succeed in facilitating a negotiated "peace deal" between Israel and the so-called Palestinians. Sometimes they "help" by offering very detailed suggestions. Various Israeli leaders have even offered to endanger the State of Israel for the "chance" of "peace." But the Arabs just up their demands.

That's because the Arabs prefer their cushy well-paid terrorism. The UN, EU and number NGOs and foreign countries support them very generously. Those Arabs aren't a people nor a nation; they're just in it for the money.

Let the Flag of the State of Israel wave in freedom and security, Gd willing!

The acceptance and promotion of the PA-Palestinian Authority by numerous countries and international organizations is totally irrational, unless you are willing to recognize the inherent antisemitism which is even stronger than the history of terrorism of the PA.

Nobody lets simple facts and history get in their way of their enthusiasm for this corrupt administrative body.

• There never was a Palestinian people.
• There never was a country called Palestine.

The so-called Palestine was invented to block the Jewish return to our historic Holy Land. The British who were supposed to facilitate a Jewish State during the period of the Mandate did everything in their power to invent an alternative. That's why they invited the Hashemites to take over Transjordan, which was far from the Hashemites' own land. 

The easiest thing to prove about the Arabs is their violence and terrorism against both Jews and Christians. That's why if you look at the demographics, you'll see that the only country in the middle east that isn't rapidly losing their Christian population is Israel. And the only country that gives full human and religious rights to all is Israel. Most of the Arab countries, including Jordan, are judenrein. That's the Nazi term for "Jew free," no Jews allowed.

While it's so easy to prove a Jewish connection to Jerusalem and the rest of the Land of Israel, the world keeps trying to invent an Arab narrative to compete.

Many kingdoms, nations etc occupied the land here, but only the Jewish People had an independent kingdom here. 

Israel-Jordan were Supposed to be Like India-Pakistan, But...

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I attended a diplomatic reception, plus panel discussion at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center. On the panel was the Indian Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Pavan Kapoor.

Before the panel began, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu greeted the honored guests and made a point of saying that Israel and India were established at the same time, India in 1947 and Israel in 1948. It was as I heard him say that when the seeds of this article began to sprout.

Both the Indian subcontinent and Mandate for Palestine had been ruled by Great Britain. Both areas had sizable and violent Muslim populations.

The experts of the time decided to segregate the populations by religion. In the Indian subcontinent two countries, one for Hindus and the other for Muslims, were established. And, yes, this required in some places massive and difficult population transfer. They exist today in rather peacefully, India and Pakistan.

Things were handled slightly differently in  the area called "Palestine." One of the reasons is that in 1921 Great Britain handed the Hashemite Abdullah a very large portion of Mandated Palestine to invent a kingdom for him, all of the land east of the Jordan River. It became known as the Emirate of Transjordan. The "minor" fact that Britain had been mandated by the League of Nations to facilitate the establishment of a Jewish state was ignored. 

The Hashemites had a very difficult time ruling and keeping the peace, even though the veteran population was rather nomadic and very poor. That required Great Britain to continue to play a strong role in propping them up financially and militarily until very recently.

Post-World War Two, at the same time when Britain gave up the Indian subcontinent and India and Pakistan were established, it was also time for them to finally promote the establishment of a Jewish state.

Of course, the simple solution would have been for Britain to complete what they had begun over twenty years earlier, transfer the non-Jewish population to the Moslem Hashemites and allow the Jewish Zionists to build and develop their country in the area from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. But they promoted a new Arab country instead, which they wanted to call Palestine. But there was no such people, history, leadership etc.

Instead, very tiny, disconnected and completely nonviable portions of land were allocated by the newly established United Nations to the Jewish State. Jews were transferred from other areas, but Arabs (Muslims and Christians) were told to stay put. The population transfer was one-sided, which gave a judenrein section to the proposed non-Jewish country while the so-called Jewish state would be forced to include a large antagonistic and extremely violent population. Basically, the Jewish state was established to deconstruct, fail miserably and quickly. In order to speed up the process, Britain armed and supported the Arab uprising, once David Ben-Gurion declared Israeli Independence.

And today we are still suffering from these decisions, policies and events.

control of Jordan, because they recognized that Jordan is Palestine.

In 1978, Shimon Peres told Menachem Begin:

"Jordan is also Palestine".

CONCLUSION:

The Palestinians already have a state: It is called Jordan.

Jordan is more than three times the size of Israel.

Gaza and the West Bank are de facto Palestinian States,

therefore the Palestinians already have three states.

Harvard Law Professor Alan M. Dershowitz said:

“…if Israel’s military power were ever to be diminished

Migron, Still Counting

Migron is/was a quiet community in a great location, just off Highway 60, north of Sha'ar Binyamin and the turnoff to Psagot, Kochav Yaakov and Tel Tzion, across from the southern end of the Alon Road. It's not far from Jerusalem, and many young families were living there in temporary homes. But instead of building permanent homes, a nuisance case was brought by Peace Now, the anti-Jewish settlement group claiming to represent "true Arab owners*," and the Israeli Lefit courts ordered Migron to be destroyed and moved.

In compensation, the government promised that the residents would get a new totally approved location, and while waiting they would be set up in state of the art caravillot (temporary prefabricated homes) nearby. This "temporary" setup has been going on for quite a few years already. The community set up a large electric sign, which you can see below. It shows the amount of days Migron has been waiting for a new location and permanent homes.

Yesterday when I passed by the number had reached 2,142 days exiled and waiting. That is why so many of us do not consider the present Israeli Government coalition to be Right, pro-Jewish rights/settlement. The truth is that we have no one to vote for. The most reliably pro-Jewish rights/settlement party is Jewish Home, but the coalition agreement/conditions really ties the hands of the more dedicated Knesset Members. Bibi sure knows how to write a very tight contract, and nothing can be done effectively by a party out of the coalition.

The real problem is that the Israeli High Court makes policy according to the judges' ideology and doesn't decide according to law. Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, Jewish Home, is trying hard to change this, but it isn't easy and will take a long time.

*The so-called owners had been offered land by Jordan on the condition that within a certain period of time they developed it. But prior to the 1967 Six Days War, when Jordan was illegally occupying land west of the Jordan River until the Israeli border, they did nothing to make the areas habitable. Nobody was interested in living or investing here. The "gifts of land" were considered worthless. All of the modern infrastructure, electricity, water, sewer, telephone etc have been built by Israel, post Six Days War.

Ambassador Bolton's "3 State" Peace Proposal, Nonsensical

As I already blogged on A Jewish Grandmother, my husband and I attended the Ingeborg Rennert Center's Guardian of Zion Award Dinner last night. So, besides the food, the real highlight of the evening was the speech by Award winner, former US Ambassador to the United Nations John  Bolton.

Since the dinner was also attended by many much more knowledgeable and respected writers than myself,  such as Caroline Glick, Ruthie Blum and Jerusalem Post Editor in Chief Yaakov Katz, (all of whom I do have some sort of personal connection,) I await their reports. No doubt that we will read them, most probably in the Friday editions of actual Israeli newspapers. One of the reasons I've embraced blogging so enthusiastically is that I can make my own deadlines and rules about what gets posted and when.

The crowd at the dinner was international, speaking a multitude of languages among themselves, but the program was in English. Our table was so overfull of diners that we had to put the bread plates in the center so our plates could lie flat and not spill over. There were screens and loudspeakers all over, since we filled two adjoining rooms.

As Bolton began his speech, there was almost a standing ovation when he said:

"...the Two State Solution has failed."

So, it was clear that no matter how diverse the crowd seemed, we did agree on that very basic fact. Every time he mentioned the failure of the Two State Solution, he was greeted with enthusiastic applause. But after that, his ideas fell flat, like a souffle taken out of the oven too early and greeted with a bang.

Bolton's "peace" proposal, what he calls the "Three State solution," IMHO, is as dangerous, fokokt and unworkable as all the versions of the Two State one. The three states in Bolton's proposal are Israel, Egypt and Jordan. Please note, that Bolton, unless I missed it, didn't mention the Golan Heights at all. His proposal only deals with what he calls "the West Bank," sic, and Gaza.

At my table quite a few of us were mumbling to each other how unrealistic, and possibly illegal, as it contradicts prior Israeli treaties with those countries, Bolton's proposal actually is. The crux of Bolton's plan is that the so-called West Bank should somehow be divided between Israel and Jordan. And of course, the idea of a country called "Palestine," sic, should be scrapped completely. Bolton totally ignores the Israeli Treaty with Jordan,  in which Jordan gave up claims to it. Remember that during the nineteen years of illegal occupation, Jordan did absolutely nothing to develop the area. In 1967, when Israel liberated it, there was no proper electricity, piped water, sewer system, modern telephones etc. Only the State of Israel has invested and upgraded the area. Arab residents have no desire to return to Hashemite rule. And the Hashemites, aka Jordan, aren't interested in them either.

Besides the lack of Jordanian identity among the Arabs here, making safe, secure and sensible borders between Israel and Bolton's fantasy entity are impossibly unrealistic, exactly like it would be with the Two State idea.

Bolton's belief that Egypt is interested in Gaza is so far from historic reality, I really wonder about his knowledge and sanity. If Egypt had wanted it, then Sadaat would have taken it when Menachem Begin gave him the Sinai. Post-Camp David, Egypt sure fought hard for the Taba resort and got that. Egypt has enough stability problems, and the last thing it wants is the responsibility of ruling Hamas supporting Gaza.

There were some excellent things in what Bolton said, which is similar to things I wrote periodically, such as that the basis for most countries' support of Palestine is their wish that the State of Israel disappear. And I truly wish that Bolton had given a speech on that topic rather than trying his hand at a "peace" proposal. Haven't people realized that succeeding in making "peace"with the Arab terrorists here is as impossible as conquering all of Russia...

Why Do Otherwise Intelligent Moral People Keep Saying "There Should Be A Palestine?"

As readers here know, I've complained innumerable times about the illogical support of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for a Palestinian State. Not only does such a thing go against my own logic and reasoning, but the legitimacy of such a state goes against his own.

The call for a Palestinian, sic, State is like some illogical mantra that otherwise intelligent, moral, educated people keep repeating as if it was a magic formula to be accepted by the international media, political leaders and accademia.

The idea that there is a Palestinian sic nation/people is just a few decades old. It's a total fiction/invention to push out a Jewish State from the land labeled "Palestine" on some maps. On other and older maps that piece of land is called Judea, because the only native people to have a history and kingdom there were Jews. Every other ruler here was an invader, an occupier, whether Roman, Persian, Greek, Turkish or British. 

And before some of you will start with your "Jordan is Palestine," please don't. Jordan is another of those modern inventions. Great Britain offered the Hashemite tribe from Saudi Arabia a big empty piece of land to call their own and keep out Jews. The British mentored the tribal chief who became the king and subsidized Jordan's economy for decades. A major reason that Jordan is so relatively peaceful is because the government did its best to keep out the so-called Palestinian refugees, sic. Jordan is rather like an Arab Judenrein Canada.

The former Chief Rabbi of Great Britain, Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, recently came out with a fantastic little animated film about the hypocrisy of BDS. 

It just has one little flaw.

Rabbi Sacks made it clear; he said: "I support a Palestinian State." What a shame. The cartoon would have had been just as effective, if not more so, without the statement. That's especially because he shows exactly what has happened where Israel has gaven the Arabs a chance to rule themselves.

Yes, dangerous terrorist chaos. 

Dangerous Mix of Truth and Fiction

This morning I took a look at this video, Israeli settlements, explained in 8 minutes by Johnny Harris. I found it to be a very dangerous mix of truth and fiction.

First of all, it begins its narrative rather late in History, 1948, crediting the United Nations with trying to help Great Britain to solve the problem between the Jews and the Arabs. It totally leaves out the very necessary/important/crucial fact that Britain was mandated/instructed/given the areas by the League of Nations in 1922, on the condition that they, the British, facilitate the establishment of a Jewish State there, Transjordan- the area on both sides of the Jordan River. No surprise, but no mention is made of that fact and the British invention of Jordan* which was stage one of how the Brits sabotaged the assignment.

Another term/fact left out is that the Jordanians illegally occupied the so-called west bank after the 1949 ceasefire. It was only recognized by two countries, Britain and Pakistan.

Also, Johnny Harris skips the crucial fact that the 1967 Six Days War was a result of coordinated Arab threats and aggression against Israel by an alliance of four Arab countries, Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Jordan, with the cooperation of the United Nations. He gives the impression that it was initiated by Israel. And of course he leaves out the background of constant terror against Jews by Arab even before the establishment of the State of Israel.  According to International Law and historical precedent, border changes due to a defensive war are legal, and that is how the 1967 ceasefire lines should be seen.

In addition, the various villages, towns and cities where Jews live in Judea, Samaria, also the Golan and Jordan Valley (which Harris does not mention by name--another example of how he simplifies) were approved and/or established by the State of Israel.

Harris does mention that Arabs can drive on the new modern roads, but he leaves out that Jews are forbidden to drive on "Arab" roads. Also, he gives the distinct impression that only Arabs have to go through "checkpoints," when all vehicles are stopped/checked, Jewish, too. We wait on the same lines. And those checks are to prevent terrorism and uninspected agricultural products from entering. Remember that if going into the USA, you can't bring even an apple from abroad.



I do not have the time to go over every single false or misleading statement in these eight misleading minutes Harris has produced. I invite you to add more in the comments here. So, please do, thanks.

*British invention of Jordan- rule of this new invented country called Jordan was given to the Hashemites from Mecca, Saudi Arabia. There was no history of such a country/people until Britain created them to block Jewish settlement of the area.

September 1st, Israeli School Year Officially Begins! For Jews and Arabs

All over Israel there has been great excitement and stress, too, about the beginning of the school year. Lots of impressive ceremonies have been held before the school year actually began.

Facebook is full of photos of little kids schlepping heavy bookbags/backpacks etc. In Yafiz, the clothing store where I work, parents have been feverishly buying the simple T shirts stamped with school logos, which is now considered the "school uniform."

Due to the healthy and high birthrate here, Israel's Ministry of Education and various municipalities have been going crazy trying to come up with an ever-increasing number of classrooms. It's a challenging puzzle finding suitable space for all the students, Jews and Arabs to study.

More than 180,000 educators returned to work Thursday, teaching the 2,232,172 Israeli children registered in schools and kindergartens across the country.
Some 159,000 students entered the Israeli elementary school system today, starting first grade. In addition, roughly 9,000 new teachers joined the Israeli public school system for this academic year. (Arutz 7)

Most of this is perfectly normal, at least here in Israel. The classroom shortage is all over, and many children study in trailers, Jews and Arabs. I'm pretty sensitive to the issue, since I was in a very overcrowded school as a kid. We had double session until (including) the Second Grade in PS 46, Bayside, NY. But a few years later, the school was already pretty empty, since families were small and few had moved out to be replaced with more younger families. But in Israel, most neighborhoods keep getting younger and younger.

One of the newscasts this week got me very angry. They were focusing on the problems in the Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem. There are families/students who are complaining that the Israeli curriculum is taught in Jerusalem. They want the "Palestinian, sic, curriculum." That's a lot of nerve. Let all of those families leave Israel, leave Jerusalem and move to Ramallah, Jenin, Bethlehem or one of the Arab villages etc. Let them give up their rights as Israelis including our excellent healthcare, infrastructure etc. Let them enjoy the corrupt rule of the P.A. Palestinian Authority! And for those who want the Jordanian curriculum, let them move to Jordan!! There's no reason for my Israeli tax money to be paying for Arabs to learn to hate and murder us! If they want to study as if they aren't in Israel, let them leave!!!

Jerusalem Day: Reflecting on 49 Years

For Jews of my generation and older, the 1967 Six Days War was a watershed event, unforgettable and inspiring. For many Jews it was life-changing, too.

There were two major results of the Six Days War:

• Israel miraculously survived and completely defeated three enemy Arab armies, Egypt, Syria and Jordan.
• Israel liberated the illegally occupied Jordan Valley, Judea, Samaria and the eastern parts of Jerusalem including the Walled City and Temple Mount, along with the Sinai and Golan Heights.

All three aggressor countries lost land as a result of the war. If you look at World History, in every single war in which an aggressor loses land in defeat, the land is then part of the victorious country. But here, almost a half a century later, Israel is under all sorts of attacks, diplomatic and terror/military to cede land fairly won to its enemies or a new invented "country." 

It would be nice if I could blame our enemies and faux friends for Israel's problems. But the sad and tragic truth is that it was the State of Israel that is the cause of today's security/terrorist problem and the awful diplomatic pressures we suffer.

Even before the dust had settled, while the world looked on in complete awe, the State of Israel should have immediately and unconditionally annexed all of the Land we liberated, from the northern tip of the Golan until the Suez Canal to the east at the Jordan River. All remnants of the "green line" should have been erased, ground to dust. Not only should the barriers that had been scarring Jerusalem been taken down, but Jews should have been allowed and encouraged to live in every single neighborhood, not just what became known as the "Jewish Quarter" of the Old City. Not only the wonderful and thriving Jewish neighborhoods which were built, like Ramat Eshkol, Gilo, Ramot etc. but housing for Jews should have been built in Shuafat, Beit Hanina, Beit Jalla etc. That anti-Jewish apartheid we still suffer should never have been allowed to continue. 

Judea and Samaria should have had been open for Jewish communities just like the Golan and the Jordan Valley were. And of course we should never have returned the key to Har Habayit, the Temple Mount to the Wakf. A synagogue should have had been built for Jews to pray with full religious rights on the Temple Mount. 

If the Israeli Government had annexed and opened all of the newly liberated Land, the world would have accepted it, even more Jews than the masses who did make aliyah in the euphoric post-Six Days War era would have arrived and the Moshiach/Messiah would be here, too.

Gd gave the Jewish People and Jewish State a great miracle, a military victory in 1967, and our government spit in Gd's face. For that we are suffering to this day, and we must find a way to correct this awful sin. Only then will there be true peace!!

Rising Immigration Rates to Israel! עולים ארצה!!

Nothing concerning Jews and  ארץ ישראל Eretz Yisrael, The Land of Israel goes according to normal Laws of Nature. We are the Jewish People, G-d's Chosen People, and G-d controls the world. We are a people, religion and nation. No other group like us exists in the world or in history.

Every year on the Purim Holiday when I listen to the words in Megillat Ester, the Scroll of Esther, which is read night and morning (which adds up to four times in Shiloh, since here it's a two day holiday,) I'm amazed anew that here we are thousands of years after the events in ancient Persia took place, and we are following the instructions on how to celebrate the holiday as described in that scroll.

Over the millennium, centuries and decades various enemies have tried to destroy us as a people, religion and nation, but we have survived it all while they are history or still unsuccessfully trying. It was clear to Great Britain that they could prevent the establishment of a Jewish State by allocating all of the Mandated "Palestine" east of the Jordan River to the Hashemites and inventing the "Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan." That rule is illegal and immoral occupation if ever there was such a thing. When the Zionists continued to thrive in Eretz Yisrael, despite losing rights to more than half the Land and the White Paper which severely limited Jewish Rights and Immigration and the Nazi Holocaust of the Jewish population of Europe, the newly formed United Nations then divided the remaining Mandated Palestine between Jews and Arabs in a way to make a secure and viable Jewish State completely impossible. But G-d vetoed their plans, and the State of Israel defeated the Arab armies and secured ceasefire lines that were much better than what the United Nations had offered. Jordan then illegally occupied the land Israel didn't hold west of the Jordan River.

And then in May of 1967, Egypt declared that it was going to attack and destroy Israel in a joint effort with Syria and Jordan. To facilitate their plan, they demanded that the United Nations withdraw all of its peacekeeping forces in the Suez area; the United Nations withdrew leaving Israel without any protection.  As you know, Israel confounded all of the military and diplomatic exerts by quickly defeating Egypt, Syria and Jordan. That resulted in Israel's holding of the Golan Heights, all of Jerusalem including the Temple Mount, Judea & Samaria (aka the West Bank,) the Sinai Peninsula and the Jordan Valley.

As difficult conditions were here in the newly established State of Israel and the reputation we have even today as "a dangerous place," Jews from all over the world have continued to flock here to live. Now many wars later, our country is bigger, stronger and more affluent. There are Jews who keep claiming that life here is too difficult, but on the whole, life here in Israel is better and easier than in most places in the world, especially for Jews.

A few months ago, after the Muslim terror attacks in France, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was cheered when he came, especially when he reminded French Jewry that they had a home in the State of Israel. And the French aren't the only Jewish community with a growing aliyah rate.

40 Percent Rise This Year in Global Immigration to Israel, Report ShowsA new report shows that Jewish immigration to Israel from around the world rose more than 40 percent in the first three months of 2015, the UK’s Guardian reported on Sunday.
A total of 6,499 Jews arrived in Israel between January and March of this year, according to an interim report by the Jewish Agency for Israel. The vast majority of immigrants came from Europe, specifically eastern Europe. 1,971 immigrants came from Ukraine to the Jewish state, the most of any country listed, marking a 215 percent rise from the same period last year. The number of Russian immigrants rose to 1,515, an almost 50 percent increase. (Algemeiner)

What's Next?

Israel's strong economy and excellent health care make it a very attractive option for Jews from all over the world.

Irrespective of a cynical and gullible “elite” media, independent of diplomatic pressure, political correctness and conventional wisdom, in defiance of the global economic slowdown, in the face of war and terrorism, and despite ill-advised threats of boycott, divestment and sanctions — but, due to principle-driven tenacity, inherent optimism, human capital/brain power, creativity, cutting edge ingenuity and breakthrough, game-changing innovations — Israel’s economy is expanding beyond expectations, reacting constructively to pressures and challenges, and developing unique commercial and security niches in response to local and global needs.For example, the April 10 issue of the Financial Times reported that “Israel’s cyber security technologies claim 10 percent of the world’s investments, and Israel’s exports exceed $3 billion. … Buy Swiss watches from Switzerland and information security from Israel. … Israel built its cyber-related offensive, defensive and snooping functions as a byproduct of its regional conflicts, ‘turning lemons into lemonade’ (Udi Mokady, CEO of CyberArk).” (Algemeiner)

And we shouldn't ignore the fact that Israel is the only Jewish Country in the entire world. Things may not be perfect, but they are certainly great!!

Apartheid, The Truth

Apartheid is the epitome of segregation. It was the official term in South Africa for the legal policy of restricting rights of the native Black Africans. Nowadays, people claim that it exits in Israel against Arabs, but the truth is very different.

n.noun  An official policy of racial segregation formerly practiced in the Republic of South Africa, involving political, legal, and economic discrimination against nonwhites.

A policy or practice of separating or segregating groups.
The condition of being separated from others; segregation.

There are many more restrictions of Jewish Israelis than on Arabs in Israel. OK, to be clear, I define "Israel" as the Land of Israel and all of the Land the League of Nations mandated to Great Britain to develop into a Jewish State and Land that Israel liberated in the 1967 Six Days War.

Great Britain illegally chopped off much more than half, everything east of the Jordan River and gave it to the Hashemites who were not native to the area at all. They then declared Abdullah the Hashemite as Emir of Transjordan.

The Jordanian monarchy was set up in 1921, with the help of Britain. The sons of Hussein bin Ali, the Sharif and Emir of Mecca from 1908 until 1917, were set up as kings of Iraq and Jordan. In Jordan, Abdullah I was made Emir ofTransjordan, a post he held from 11 April 1921 until Transjordan was granted independence on 25 May 1946 as the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan. That's illegal occupation if anything is!!

And if you want to check out a Jewish community and Jewish Rights in Jordan, then and today, you'll easily discover that it's judenrein, yes, the Nazi term for an area cleansed of its Jews.

Judenfrei ("free of Jews") or Judenrein ("clean of Jews") was a Nazi term to designate an area "cleansed" of Jewish presence during The Holocaust.^[1]While Judenfrei referred merely to "freeing" an area of all of its Jewish inhabitants, the term Judenrein (literally "clean of Jews") was also used. This had the stronger connotation that any trace of Jewish blood had been removed as an impurity.^[2] (Wikipedia)

Please don't ignore the timing of the invention of Jordan. It's barely a decade before the beginning of Nazism and explains why the Government of Great Britain never protested the Nazi persecution and murder of its Jewish population. Even though the the League of Nations was clear in what it demanded of Great Britain, the British did its best to sabotage the creation of a Jewish State. It only fought the Nazis to preserve its own sovereignty.

Transjordan/Jordan was established for the sole purpose to keep Jews out-- apartheid- of the historic and documented Land of Israel.

Post-World War Two, when the Zionists finally lost patience with the British and realized that we would only get a Jewish State if we took unilateral action and declared one, the British helped the Arabs in their attacks on the State of Israel and was one of the only two countries to recognize Jordan's illegal occupation of what they called the "West Bank," which was the land between the ceasefire lines and the Jordan River. Jewish communities in those areas, such as Gush Etzion, were massacred or forcefully taken from their homes, held in Jordan and eventually released to Israel.



And today most of the world, including a shocking amount of Jews and Israelis, still support apartheid against Jews in the Land of Israel.

We're condescendingly told that it is for our own good and safety, because if we enter, we may not come out alive. Now, they see nothing wrong or immoral in Arab terrorism. They do not condemn or try to stop the terrorist activity, but they placate them by giving them freedom of movement. Yes, the Arabs can travel all over, but we Jewish Israelis can't. That is the "apartheid" we have here. It is against Jews!

Jordan, Israeli Ally or Dangerous Enemy

To be perfectly honest, I consider the Kingdom sic of Jordan to be one of the least secure countries in the world and the most in danger of Palestinian sic uprising/invasion. First let's quickly go over the history of the country. Quickly, because it is a rather new country which isn't based on history, culture or anything. Its invention was a unilateral move by Great Britain to pacify the Hashemite clan, which isn't at all native to the eastern side of the Jordan River.

With the Great Arab Revolt in 1916 and the consequent British invasion, the area came under Occupied Enemy Territory Administration in 1917 and with the British mandate of Transjordan in early 1920s, it became the Emirate of Transjordan under the Hashemite Emir. In 1946, independent Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was formed and shortly admitted to the United Nations and the Arab League. In 1948, Jordan fought with the newly born state of Israel over lands of former Mandatory Palestine, effectively gaining control of the West Bank and annexing it with its Palestinian population.

The result is a precarious stability, and considering that its present king is married to a woman whose family is from Shechem, when their son rules, if the kingdom lasts that long, there will be what's known as a "Palestinian" sic king.

There are those Israelis and Jews who want Jordan to be called "Palestine," sic, but I'm not among them. I consider it a very dangerous mistake. That's because it gives recognition to the faux people and their faux culture and fictional history.

For quite a few years, Israel has done its best to keep a peace with Jordan. For quite a few years after the 1967 Six Days War, the Israeli movers and shakers were convinced that Jordan would come begging for peace with Israel in exchange for the so-called "west bank," but that never happened. Jordan wasn't interested in fully annexing Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley and providing it with modern infrastructure. During the nineteen years of Jordanian occupation of the areas, there had been no development.

When Israel took over after the Six Days War, it discovered a totally backwards area. Even when we moved to Shiloh in 1981, and our phones were via the nearby Turmus Aiya village, the phones had local operators like in the very early twentieth century. Every night the villages went dark about 10pm, because they turned off their generators. Piped water and sewer systems were also built by Israel.

Jordan is in many ways between a a rock and a hard place. To stay viable, it needs to pacify the terrorists without allowing them power and stay western enough to get lots of foreign aid.

Even though it allows Israelis and Jews to tour, there is a lot of tension, and many Jews do not let people there know they are Jewish.

Remember that in 1967 Jordan did join with Syria and Egypt in a war to annihilate Israel. There still are influential Jordanians who want us destroyed.

My gut feeling is that the decision-makers actually want Israel to stay. That's not because they want a Jewish State, but because they can encourage the Hamas and Fatah Arab terrorists to attack Israel rather than attacking Jordan. For them we are the "buffer zone." That doesn't make Jordan a reliable ally or an ally at all.  But it also doesn't make Jordan a very dangerous enemy.
