The Anti-Israel "Atmosphere" on American Campuses is Not Due to Ignorance

Tonight there was a news clip on Israeli television about the terrible anti-Israel atmosphere and worse on American campuses. It was blamed on ignorance, but that is not the cause.



The anti-Israel "atmosphere," I can't think of a better word, is not do to ignorance. It's due to something much more insidious. It's due to antisemitism, which goes hand and hand with the pro-Arab and pro-Palestine ideology that pervades international academia.

As part of the typical wishful thinking of many Israelis, like the fact that the government keeps on trying to negotiate with the Arab terrorists for a "peace treaty."

Considering that it's impossible to convince an antisemite to change his stripes. I think that the only thing is to call a spade a spade, tell the antisemite that he/seh is one. Tell him/her that antisemitism is the epitome of racism, totally immoral and therefore you have no respect for such a person.

Good News, Bad News, Good-Anti-Israel Bus Ads Rejected, Bad-They Were Proposed

Yes, thank G-d, one battle won.  The people of Seattle won't see anti-Israel ads on their buses.  But that's not the end of the story.  Jews around the world can't relax vigilance.  Our enemies are wealthy and clever and very determined.

One victory.

Most Jews, statistically, grew up in the United States, like I did, grew up with other Jews, whether religious or not.  We didn't feel all that isolated.

Considering that Jews are maybe 2.2% of the American population means that most Americans will never actually meet a Jew.  According to my quick count (on the chart you can access by clicking here) thirty-two 32 out of the fifty states have less than one percent Jews.  Even California has only 3.3%, and the surrounding states have even less.

Because so many Jews live near other Jews, they don't realize that the antipathy so many Americans (and ordinary people all over the world) feel towards anything Jewish and Israeli have nothing to do with us or anything a Jew ever did to them.  That's because they've never knowingly for sure met any Jews.

They don't know much history either, not American, World or the Middle-East.  That's why the Left has such fertile ground to work with on their anti-Israel campaigns.

We have a very, very, very long hard campaign ahead.

“Three Faiths: Judaism, Christianity, Islam,” A Time Line?

There's a new impressive exhibit at the New York Public Library, “Three Faiths: Judaism, Christianity, Islam.”

Considering the history, the sequence of events, when and how each of those three religions began, I wonder if there's a Time Line prominently posted to indicate to one and all how both Christianity and Islam are just faux Jewish aggressive wannabes.  To this very day, both Christianity and Islam are attempting to take over the status, people and land of the Jews.

In fact, because Christianity developed out of Judaism, and Islam grew out of both, similarities and allusions are also the markers of great differences. Each religion aggressively reinterpreted its predecessors, accepting its sacred texts but radically altering their implications and meanings. And each predecessor religion, in turn, opposed attempts to treat it as a prelude to something greater.


These are not subtle disputes, and the consequences were far from ecumenical, particularly when successor religions sought to spread their beliefs through conquest and conversion. And while the three share many traits — these are not primarily meditative or contemplative religions, after all, and they are indeed historical faiths, concerned with action, even with mission — their commonalities also lead to profound contrasts. For two millenniums, Judaism, tied to a particular people, was the least outwardly directed, but all three religions saw themselves as shaping world history. Each one also imagined a distinctive role for believers within it. And here the three are quite diverse indeed.

There is no simple benign, philosophical, intellectual discussion among spiritual leaders.  This "competition" is the core of the rabid, seemingly irrational anti-Israel, antisemitic atmosphere in places like the United Nations, the international media and academic universities and journals all over the world.

A number of years ago when I accompanied a Christian tour group to Tel Shiloh, a young girl innocently asked me, during question time, why so many nations, peoples and religions attacked Jews.  None of us had an answer for her, and that question has been troubling me ever since.  But now I know.

The world's dominant and competing religions, Christianity and Islam exist to be replacements for Judaism.  Therefore they see the survival, existence of the Jewish Religion, People and State to be a threat, proof of their illegitimacy.  That's why we're attacked.

Aviad Cohen: The Anti-Jew Unplugged and Deranged

Aviad Cohen, the once popular Jewish rap star (50 Shekel) who was hailed as "The World's Most Kosher MC", has turned Jesus freak in the worst kind of way – and he has turned on himself and the people who used to be his people.

Aviad was born in Tel Aviv. His family left Israel for Brooklyn when he was two. He was educated in the Yeshiva and Jewish private school systems of New York and New Jersey.
After receiving much acclaim for his popular remake of 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” song called “In Da Shul”, it seems the Heeb-Hop rapper went off Da deep end.

But this is no joke. The now “messianic” Aviad Cohen has an evangelical following and can be seen on the Christian talk show and concert circuits spreading the word and other bad news. Check out his appearance on TBN the Trinity Broadcasting Network (and pray for him and his family)
