Gaza War Musings #78 Deals Don't Bring Peace!! Israel Must Act as an Independent Sovereign Country!!

Unfortunately, our weak, woke hapless Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu has relinquished our sovereignty to American President Donald Trump. We never hear Bibi forcibly and confidently objecting to Trump's plans, deals and demands reminding him that he is President of the USA, and he has no authority over Israel. Actually, I don't think we hear anyone in the Israeli Government say that we're not property of the United States.

Israelis, whether politicians, officeholders, journalists or just plain citizens should be protesting in every way possible about American interference in our security. The USA is not a loyal ally. Its government and policies change with the wind, depending on the moods and priorities of its politicians, military and bureaucrats.

Please remember well that when former US President Harry Truman ordered the American UN Ambassador to vote in favor of Partition for a Jewish State and a few months later officially recognized the State of Israel, he was forcibly defying the State Department's directives

American Government bureaucracy, like the Israeli, considers itself superior to the elected executive and legislature. That is actually what the attempt for Judicial Reform was about. Bibi didn't fight for it, nor taking down the Defense Department's glass ceiling, because he needs the support of the bureaucrats to stay in office. He's not a fighter. He loves the limelight, but his true power is much smaller than people think.

Back to Trump and his deals...

Donald Trump is a business man, a real estate mogul. He's neither a military man, a theologian nor a historian. Bringing true peace to "the Middle East" is 10,000% different from developing Manhattan's West Side and turning a dangerous deteriorating slum area into a beautiful, popular upper-middleclass neighborhood. Turning a muddy Manhattan shoreline into an attractive park walking distance from new lovely, attractive apartment houses takes totally different skills and mindset compared to turning terrorist Gaza into a peaceful society.

Poverty isn't the reason for the popularity and dominance of terrorism in Gaza. Gazans could grow their own food, plus for export if they wanted to. But they don't want to and they don't need to. Most of the outside world wants to see them as "starving," so instead of using their energies and manpower for farming and industry, as the Jewish residents of the very successful Gush Katif did, they prefer "charity" so they can use their energy and money to attack Israel in the cruelest of ways.

Think about it.

And back to the fiction that a deal can end a war...

Would a "deal" have stopped Nazi Germany or Japan?

Nope!

Gaza War Musings #77: Victory From Bibi's Likud? Reminds Me of an Old Joke

Bibi has been Prime Minister for most of the past twenty years. We've had constant wars/battles/attacks. Victory isn't on the menu with him in charge. He's not going to change. Same bombastic speeches, but he doesn't fight to win the war.

Since Bibi has been Prime Minister, possibly even before, we've been fighting the same long, very endless war. Every year or two our Arab terrorist "neighbors" have started missile attacks. Sometimes the targets are mostly southern Israel, sometimes northern, sometimes close to our main International Ben-Gurion Airport and sometimes a combination of the above. After we "hit back a bit," Bibi state some version of:

"Now we showed them. Now we'll have quiet."

We never hear a word of surrender from our enemies, not even a whisper of it. Things just quiet down... until the next time and the time after. It happened so many times that I'm not the only one who lost count years ago. Then on October 7, 2023, Shabbat Simchat Torah-- a Jewish Holiday, almost three years ago, our terrorist, enemy neighbors raised the level of attack tremendously murdering over a thousand innocent unsuspecting Israelis, and the IDF was caught not just flatfooted but with its pants down. Reservists and brave volunteers arrived at the attack sites more quickly than army units.

And now, according to Israeli Law, we're supposed to have new elections. Bibi and the Likud, the coalition members and defense establishment have never taken responsibility for their massive mistakes. The Likud, still led by Netanyahu is in campaign mode, and IDF leaders of the past decade are also running for office, totally ignoring their responsibilities for our military and security disaster. Likud MKs are now traveling around the country billing themselves as LIKUD VICTORY FORUM trying to convince the Likud faithful that they'll bring "victory."

There's an old "saying," which is has a lot of truth in it.

"What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

If Bibi had been capable of winning, true absolute victory, he would have defeated all of our enemies early in his time as Prime Minister, and we wouldn't have been attacked on Oct 7, 2023. Voting for Likud and his "poodles" will just bring us more war.

The Likud is going to suffer in the ballot box because of the continued war and its sell-out to the chareidim who mostly refuse to serve in the army. The two "national religious" parties, not to be confused with the National Religious Party NRP which no longer exists, have to decide between loyalty to the coalition and trying to attract those who are disgusted with Bibi's inability to fight to victory and his embarrassing Trump-worshipping.

And if you're wondering whom I'm supporting... I'm still undecided.

By the way, the opposition doesn't even talk victory... What do you think?

War Musings #72: Was Mao Right About the USA Being A "Paper Tiger?"

Honestly, I'm not surprised and definitely not happy. News is that Trump is trying to "negotiate a deal." I was planning on blogging about US President Trump and Israel's Prime Minister Bibi as too weak to win, especially because they think it's enough to bomb Iran. Also, or especially since Trump keeps promising the Americans "no boots on the ground." I really wonder why the American have and train and invest in "ground forces" when the only ground they cover is when on parade.

It reminds me of Communist China's Mao Tse-Tung saying that the United States is a "paper tiger." I was a young girl in elementary school when I first heard it, and barely a decade after World War Two it seemed so bombastic and false. But now close to seventy years later, when 1960 hippies and the even worse younger generations are running the USA, it's definitely on target. Think about it. If the American Army doesn't fight, they're no better than toy soldiers. It's a game, a sham.

I've been in Israel since 1970; it was my choice, my ideology. Our army the IDF is no game. Our soldiers, mostly reservists, students, teachers, businessmen, craftsmen, taxi drivers, shop owners, salesmen, repairmen, writers, singers, actors, doctors, nurses, therapists... fathers, sons, grandparents, neighbors and don't forget all the women... Israeli soldiers aren't just Jewish; there are even Arabs, Bedouin, yes, a totally representative group of Israelis and even others. We're a small country, and we need help from all to defend it. We also need victory, a true, total absolute victory... not some sort of deal negotiated by some foreigners who won't pay for their failure.

I've been studying Tanach, the Bible for quite a few years already, though I'm far from being an expert. One message that repeats in Navi Prophets, Isaiah Chapter 31 יְשַׁעְיָהוּ:

"1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many, and in horsemen, because they are exceeding mighty; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!"

That should be remembered and followed. If Binyamin Netanyahu doesn't have the emotional and spiritual strength to lead us to lead us to victory, then he should resign. US President Donald Trump is not our savior; he's more the "paper tiger" Mao belittled seventy years ago. The American military is not the same as those who fought in World War Two, and remember that even then America didn't "enter the war" until attacked. They didn't fight for justice; they fought to save their honor. And they didn't blow up the rail lines that took European Jewry to the Death Camps. That wasn't a priority for them. Only after Nazi Germany surrendered did they show any interest...

Gd is waiting for us, and in the meantime, He has saved so many, by controlling most of the missiles to miss civilians, not all, but most. Thank Gd. It's time we fight as strong Jews sovereign in our own Holy Land.

War Musings #70 When Will Israel Wake Up?

Honestly, I'm just so terribly tired of these endless wars, ending in various versions of "ceasefires," far removed from victories. We beg for a ceasefire, and then Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu makes a bombastic speech about having mowed them down so they won't attack again. But SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE!  They do attack again, from the north, from the south, from Iran.... You know I'm right. I've totally lost track of the amount of wars/attacks on us in the almost twenty years of Bibi's rule.

Don't you remember that less than a year ago we had a "thing" with Iran to rid them of their nuclear capabilities, and then suddenly it was over, and we heard Bibi's usual proud bragging promises... and now?  Come on... they've never surrendered. They were just planning the next one, and that's what we're suffering from right now. For the past two plus weeks, day and night, we have no idea when we have to make a run for it, whether down stairs, a few blocks away or in a "safe corner" in our home. Innocent Israelis, young and old, have been murdered, injured, orphaned by the country that we had been told by our Prime Minister was no longer a danger to us. In addition Hizbolla is now attacking Israel from the north...

Do you think that our neighbors fear us, even while the USA has joined in, especially when U.S. President Trump and Bibi have said over and over and over that they won't take over Iran.
"No boots on the ground..."
So our enemies are biding their time and planning their next moves... meaning aggressions, even if they take a break aka ceasefire. Do you know what the Arabs call a "ceasefire?" Rearming, yup, we've known that for a long time.

Yup, I'm finding this very upsetting, very frustrating. I'm disgusted with the government, and the opposition is even worse. Sorry, but I can't think of one politician, in or out of the coalition, who seems capable of winning a war. The good or better ones in the coalition are terrified to say anything that would anger Netanyahu who can't abide any criticism.

Gd willing a miracle will happen, and there will be someone with the guts of Arik Sharon in 1973. He won the Yom Kippur War by refusing to obey government orders. The Americans were very angry...

War Musings #69: "Operation Roaring Lion"-- All Noise But No Teeth

Honestly, I hope I'm wrong... I pray I'm wrong... Gd willing, that for once my pessimism about Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu's leadership won't be on target.

Deja vu, a few months ago we bombed Iran, while innocent Israeli citizens ran to shelter from Iranian missiles. Israeli homes were destroyed, Israelis were injured and killed. The government called it Operation Rising Lion, and this new "operation" is "Operation Roaring Lion." Yup, still no teeth...

According to Alma Research and Education Center, Operation Rising Lion caused the following deaths, injury and damage:

As a result of the missile fire at Israel, 28 civilians were killed and 1,472 were injured: 15 in serious condition, 58 in moderate condition, and 1,399 with light injuries. 2,305 apartments were damaged in 240 different buildings. 13,197 Israelis were left without a roof over their heads.

When the things quieted*, we were assured by Bibi, Trump and crew, that Iran was no longer a threat... Do you remember that? I do do remember some statements in the press and podcasts which voiced suspicion about the destruction touted by Bibi and Trump. At that point, I foolishly believed that a good job had been done. Considering the amount of alerts/sirens and violent rumblings today, it's very clear that we can't really rely on Netanyahu and Donald Trump to win a war.

Davka this new war/operation began on a very important Shabbat, Shabbat Zachor, when we read a section of the Torah about a vicious enemy and what we're supposed to do:

Art Scroll, The Stone Edition

Zachor is so important to hear each year that many synagogues have extra readings of it for those who can't be at the regular morning prayers. I wish our Israeli government, all the ministers and army officers would listen to it and take the message seriously. It should be our policy.

*There was no surrender by the Iranians, just lots of bragging by Bibi and US President Trump that they had done a great job.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #68: Trump's Deals, Deja Vu 1960s "Give Peace a Chance"

I'm going to be very blunt. US President Donald Trump's "deals" with perverse, vicious, violent countries and especially terrorists remind me of the totally unrealistic, wacky 1960's slogan and Lennon-Ono song/philosophy Give Peace A Chance

I thought it was stupid when all the rage in the time of the "hippies," and life in the past close to six decades has only reinforced my doubts.

Trump, Bibi Netanyahu and I are all about the same age. We came to age in the 1960s. I rejected the philosophic fads of the time adopting a Torah Observant life and Zionism. None of the popular philosophies attracted me. It didn't bother me that my fellow students in Great Neck North thought I was really strange. I thought they were. I'm not a follower, but most people are-- including the popular ones like Trump and Bibi... obviously. That's how it seems to me.

This post is short. I'm not wasting words. Vicious terrorist enemies must be defeated, destroyed. They won't change if you're nice to them; they'll just think you're a sucker.

What do you think, really think? Do you think that Trump's deals can bring peace?

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #67: The War's Not Over- How Many More Israelis Will Be Killed?

Sorry, but I can't join in with the celebrations concerning the return of our hostages, dead and alive. Of course I'm glad that the last body to date has been recovered in Gaza and brought to a dignified Israeli Jewish burial, but remember that it was the State of Israel that found St.-Sgt.-Maj. Ran Gvili. He wasn't returned by Hamas, which was the "deal."

In addition, Amir Zini has revealed that not all of his son Nirel was in the coffin. Davka, his head is still missing. If you remember, many of those murdered by Hamas suffered brutal dismemberment, when still alive and after death. It's probable that other bodies aren't whole either.

The State of Israel wasn't victorious, not at all. True we won many battles, but unfortunately we turned it into defeat. The Jewish People has a long history connected to Gaza, living in it and more. The obvious move of victors who have such a history/connection would be to resettle the land. Many soldiers and civilians naively expected to return to Gaza, and signs were seen saying "Return to Gush Katif," but the government had them taken down.

In addition, even worse, our hapless Prime Minister, Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu, has accepted American President Donald Trump's deals and plans for Gaza. It's very obvious that Bibi is not a true leader; he's a weak follower. Yes, Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu has relinquished sovereignty over crucial security decisions to Trump, and businessman Trump isn't an expert in security and terrorism. Even the top military people in the states have no real experience with the Israeli security situation. Israel, unlike the USA, is a tiny country surrounded by enemies who've shown the world that their expertise is perverse, murderous violence and cruelty. I'm not exaggerating; remember how they attacked us October 7, 2023, rape, beheading, burning etc.

At present, there's a weak ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, Hizbolla plus the other terrorist groups. I have no doubt that they're doing their usual, rearming plus. The next war, possibly only after Trump's final term, will be much, much worse for Israel than this last attack. Think of how weeds sprout after a mowing, versus when you pull them out by their roots. No country wants Gazans. They're not going anyplace. Countries that have accepted them in the past are sorry, because of the violence and crime they've brought with them to their new countries.

Yishai Fleischer explains things well. I agree with what he says here.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #58: A "Deal" Won't Bring Peace-- Just More War

This plan/deal Bibi and Trump are cooking up won't bring Israel peace. It's a Trojan horse. It will only leave Israel more vulnerable than before. It doesn't take care of the real problem and leaves us even more dependent on the United States. I'm a realist, a pragmatist.

The key to peace is settling the Land, not policing it with new businesses. Donald Trump isn't in the real world of war and Bibi, our failed Prime Minister has never had the guts to really lead. He's just a master of oratory.

At first I was going to simply say that Bibi should have stayed in America and not returned. For those who either don't remember or are too young to know, Bibi had started a very successful career in the USA where he had gone to high school and university. He even changed his name to Ben Nitay.

A few years after his brother Yoni was killed in the legendary Entebbe rescue, he returned to Israel and his name. Then the more I thought about it, I realized that staying in the USA wouldn't have been a good idea. He'd be worse to Israel than Kissinger was. Henry Kissinger had tried to get Golda Meir to follow American "advice" during the 1973 Yom Kippur War, which would have left us in a dangerous position. The Americans had been hiding their involvement with the "surprise*" attack on Israel. Even then, during that war I had suspected that Nixon and Kissinger had planned for Israel to reach a stalemate, not a victory. Then they'd come in and take over. They were sure that Kissinger could control Golda and the rest of the government. He was "one of us;" wasn't he? Couldn't a Jew convince them?

We must stop consulting with foreign rulers. They won't give us peace!

*Bruce Brill's memoir of the Yom Kippur War when he was with the NSA spills the beans about American involvement and passed censorship.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #43: VICTORY Not Oratory

Day after day, lives lost to terror-- this war doesn't seem even close to the end. For me the end of the war must be our victory. If Bibi serves us another one of his ceasefires, I truly dread the next war. I also dread the increased Arab terrorism from the released convicted Arab terrorists and their increased confidence.

I can't lie. With Netanyahu in the drivers seat, I'm not optimistic. Please prove me wrong.

Here's last night's "Gnite:"

The war is dragging on...
Poor leadership...
Bibi's a brilliant orator, but...
... being a Prime Minister demands other talents. If he had the other talents his orating skills would be the "cream on the cake," but without them, it's like getting sick because you just ate a bowl of sweet fatty cream...
Our country is sick now, and some people are yearning for a leader with the confidence and bargaining talents of a Donald Trump. They see that Bibi is weak in those categories, but Trump is American, not Israeli. His job isn't to save us. We Israelis must save ourselves. He won't stop and threaten us like Biden managed to do.
How is it that Biden, in his weakened state, still succeeded in terrifying and controlling Bibi Netanyahu? It doesn't say much for Bibi.
Hamas acts victorious, proud of its accomplishments, in control of the situation. They tested us by sending the body of a Gazan rather than Shiri Bibas. It's obvious that it was a test, because the minute Israel made a forceful complaint about it, the correct body was sent.
They're calling the shots...
I'm praying for a miracle. Either Bibi has a sudden personality change and becomes a brave, strong, confident leader taking us to #TotalVictory, or he resigns and someone else becomes Prime Minister, someone capable of leading us to VICTORY.
We're a small country and can't go on like this forever...
Gd willing, tomorrow...

What do you think? Don't be shy. Please comment and share, thanks.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #40: USA Faux Friend

The following is from my Facebook "Gnite" posts. Before I go to bed, I let loose on Facebook whatever is really bothering me. Generally these posts aren't at all planned; they just flow.

I'd appreciate if you'd read, comment and share, thanks.

I'm an old lady, past retirement age. I've been following politics and history since I was a child in New York. My life decisions aren't the standard and not as I was raised. I'm a Torah Observant Jew since my teens, thanks to what I learned and experienced in NCSY and made aliyah (moved to Israel,) with my husband since just after our 1970 wedding. That's my background in a nutshell.

Please read, thanks...

Gnite
What's going to happen 12 noon on Shabbat? Jerusalem time or Washington DC? Not clear to me...
Hamas isn't afraid of Bibi. That's for sure. It has been revealed that Gazans were readying for a surrender over a year ago, but then Bibi followed Biden's orders and began feeding the Gazans... so we lost.
Bibi is more American than I am.
I feel no loyalty, nor do I have any trust in the USA. The American State Department, Defense Department etc don't know what's best for Israel and have never cared about our survival. Way back when, during Harry Truman's presidency, he was told by the State Department not to vote "yes" in the infant United Nations for a Jewish State. Truman defied them.
Two decades later, when Egypt was threatening to destroy Israel with the help of their allies, Syria and Jordan. The USA was quiet.
Six years later they knew all about Egypt's plan to attack Israel and refused to warn Israel. Read Deceit of an Ally by Bruce Brill.
Almost a half a century later, deja vu, Biden was flown to Israel by his handlers to force Bibi to treat Hamas Gaza with kid gloves, send in "humanitarian aid" and continue with the farcical fokokt "moral" waste of our weapons to protect "innocent" Gazans civilians. Of course this totally ignores the fact that Gazan civilians are terrorists and invaded, murdered Gazans civilians, raped, decapitated, incinerated truly innocent Israelis on October 7, 2023. And the Americans quickly announced that their plan for "after" was to establish a Palestinian State. Their timing is very suspicious... It takes years for the State Department to plan things... right? So, the chances are... the attack wasn't a surprise for the Americans...
If my blog and FB posts had been more popular, I'd be one of those targeted... What do you think?
Food for thought...
Past my bedtime. Gd willing see you tomorrow.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #35- Bibi's Foolishly Playing to the Democrats

We've all heard the saying that trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results is a definition of insanity and the most accurate way of describing Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu's security policies --how he ends wars--

That's why we're in the mess we've been in the past year plus. The mess is the war. We've been attacked every year or two since early into Bibi's reign as Israel's Prime Minister. I don't understand why so many, otherwise brilliant, people vote for him, trust him and politically worship him. Netanyahu has been giving us a 21st century appeasement policy.

We haven't won any of these wars; we just end them, first cousin to surrender. Bibi claims that "we showed the Arabs that we're stronger, can't push us around." Duh?!? It has never worked. If it's the right policy there wouldn't be fighting a dangerous war for Israel's survival since October 7, 2023. It's clear. I'm a CPA's daughter and 1+1=2. This isn't even Second Grade Arithmetic. Why are so many people dumb when it comes to politics?

And now I keep hearing that we're letting the Americans, those deceitful allies, sic, negotiate a deal/ceasefire with Hizbolla. Beyond insanity, these are the Democrats, the party of Obama, AOC, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and Biden, who's no better than any of the others.

The tough war savvy crew Donald Trump has been nominating is certainly horrified. Horrified because we're not showing any war smarts, none of the heroism Trump is old enough to remember well from 1967.

If I sound depressed, it's because I am depressed. IMHO Bibi is only making things worse. When Trump tells Israel to finish the war, he means WIN IT!

I know what you want to ask me. "Who should replace Bibi?" Right? Honestly, I want to postpone elections as long as legally possible, because Israel can't afford raising the level of competition/disagreement/debate among citizens. If Netanyahu would only resign from all public offices, then the next in line in Likud would become Prime Minister. No elections needed.

Our soldiers are fighting hard, not only against Arab terrorists but also against some bad policies of the higher ups, those above the glass ceiling. Elections would cause too many internal fights.

I know that some people are certainly upset that I've written this. But I can't stay quiet, sorry. If you agree with me, please share this post, thanks. I'm looking forward to your comments, too.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #31-Which Jews Would You Put in The Top 50?

I was disgusted when I saw the Jerusalem Post's #1

In response I wrote a letter to the editor. After waiting a week and not seeing it published, I decided to blog it and welcome your responses.

Horrified

When I saw the photo of Doug Emhoff on the cover of the Rosh Hashanah magazine of the Jerusalem Post, I felt sick. It took me two days to even open the magazine. Emhoff? Really? What were the editors of the Jerusalem Post thinking of? The guy married an ambitious biracial/biethnic non-Jewish woman who's running for President of the USA.

How does that make him more special, more important than our IDF soldiers risking their lives, health to defend the State of Israel?

How does that make him more special than the survivors of the horrendously cruel attacks by our perverse enemies on October 7, 2023?

How does that make him more special than the Israelis whose homes and communities were destroyed by the Gazan Hamas and their allies?

How does that make him more special than the brave Israelis still marrying and having children during this horrendous war?

Need I go on?
Busha! You should be embarrassed!!

I couldn't read that magazine. After two days I turned the page and quickly slammed it shut. I've worked in advertising, and the first rule is that your cover should make people want to read the magazine/book whatever.

Jerusalem Post, you've failed. How could you promote Doug Emhoff and his wife against Donald Trump who had been the most pro Israel USA President ever? You're playing politics promoting the most unabashed anti-Israel candidate ever!

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #24: Time for Bibi to Distance Himself From Biden

In my previous War Musings,  USA vis-à-vis Israel, A Sadistic Abusive Relationship, I showed that the USA-Israel relationship is typical of serious emotional abuse. Now for another reason Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu must seriously distance himself from Biden and the Democrat Party.

Polls are showing that Biden and the extreme Left Progressive ANTI-ISRAEL Democrats are losing support in the United States. Republicans, especially President Donald Trump, are losing all respect for Netanyahu.

It's time for Netanyahu to assert himself, act like the leader of an independent country -which he had been elected to be- and wean himself from the Biden administration "cold turkey."

Biden and the Democrats are losing support, especially by those Americans who think and care about the State of Israel. Jews, who for generations, had been loyal Democrat voters, like Alan Dershowitz, now are traumatized as they realize that their party is supporting the anti-Israel and antisemitic university demonstrations.

Bibi claims to be a wily, wise politician, but he's just acting like a pathetic victim of abuse. It's time to repair and expand Israel's relations with the Republican Party and Donald Trump. He shouldn't consider it "election interference" especially after Biden agreed with Schumer that Israel must vote Bibi out of office.

I'm disgusted and embarrassed by Bibi Netanyahu's pathetic behavior.

Bibi, If You Can't Take the Heat, Get Out of the Kitchen!!.

Fascists Take To The Streets Reject Laws

I'm glad I don't live in a large city right now. Fascist mobs are demanding government changes trying to use their power to overrule the elected government.

Now, don't get me wrong. It's not like I support all government policies, and I certainly don't support any blindly. But the way to change the government is through elections, not massive demonstrations in the streets.

Thank Gd, Israel is a democracy.

  • We've had better governments, and we've had worse governments.
  • We've experienced better policies, and we've experienced worse policies.
In all honesty I think that Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu's decision to make a broad disparate coalition with Benny Gantz's Blue and White ended up backfiring on him. One crucial aspect was successful in that Gantz and Gabi Ashkenazi have lost a major part of their voter support.

But Bibi's attempt to hold the extremely heterogeneous coalition together was an unmitigated disaster. Blue and White got an unprecedented percentage of powerful positions, which angered pretty much everyone on all sides of the political spectrum with exception of the recipients themselves.

Not only can't Bibi control the Blue and White MKs' voting power, he has lost control of his own Likud Party. Apparently he gambled that giving less veteran MKs cabinet posts would make them more loyal, and he took for granted that his more veteran MK ministers would play ball with him. The result wasn't as he planned.

We're now suffering another round of what I call Korach demonstrations meaning that those demonstrating/rioting don't have the same aims other than to destabilize the government

If the rioters get their wish and force Netanyahu out, then they'll just fight among themselves, since they have no real leader other than the secret money source coming from abroad.

The financial backers have unsuccessfully promoted Ehud Barak and more recently replaced him with Benny Gantz. Who will be their next figurehead?

The only real advantage of the present instability here in Israel and in the states is that the horrid "Trump Deal" has been put on the back-burner.

Ribonut, Sovereignty vs The Trump-Kushner Apartheid Terror Plan

Yesterday I was in Jerusalem and had a bit of time between appointments, so I made my way to the Women in Green's three day "Yes to Sovereignty over the Land of Israel, No to Palestine" conference.

It was good to feel that I was doing more for Jewish Life in the State of Israel than tapping on my computer keyboard, even though I only sat and listened to the speakers. Seeing women and men from all over the country who all agree that we can't play games with our sovereignty and security was reassuring.

Trump's "plan/deal" is a nightmare and diametrically opposed to his original stated policy. He should have stuck with his position that only the parties involved should negotiate, and there should never be an imposed/proposed plan by outsiders.

Now, his so-called Israeli Sovereignty sic requires American approval as if we're under his and Jared Kushner's rule.

The state of Israel is an independent country, and in June, 1967, we were threatened with total destruction by neighboring Arab countries. The results of the war those threats caused was the straightening out of our borders and the liberation of territory which had been used to attack Israel. All international historical precedent is similar situations is that the victorious country absorbs/annexes such territory, and that is what the State of Israel should have done as soon as Jordan, Egypt and Syria surrendered or ceased attacking. Incomprehensibly we didn't, and we've been suffering ever since.

Better late than never, it's the time NOW TO ANNEX ALL LAND ISRAEL HOLDS! If the Arabs don't like it they can leave. Simple.

Dangers of "Half" or "Partial" Sovereignty

Yesterday our local senior citizen whatsapp group was full of panicky posts trying to make sense out of the rumors, incomplete leaks, incomprehensible maps and news about possible "half-sovereignty," sic.

Deja vu the old United Nations Partition Plan, this partial or half-sovereignty will cause major inconvenience at best and more death by terrorism for sure. A splattering of Jackson-Pollock style splashes in the Land of Israel makes no sense. There's no legal, security or moral reason for such a thing.

"Half" or "Partial" Sovereignty will only fill more cemeteries

Shades of Barack Hussein Obama and his predecessors, the latest threats by United States officials are no different from FDR's refusal to allow Jews fleeing Hitler to get refuge in America and Truman's State Department which had recommended not recognizing the Jewish State in the UN vote.

Nothing has changed. We're on our own, and we're best off like that. Remember that the State of Israel had no foreign allies during the Six Days War, and that was the best. Let the world butt out, including Trump and Kushner.

The More I Hear About The Trump "Deal," The Less I Like It

The rationale behind the Trump "deal" is full of stereotypes and dangerous presumptions. It treats us all, Jews, Arabs, and other "minorities" as pawns not people. It promotes/proposes two apartheid states, which will only increase tensions and terrorism.

The Trump "Deal" requires a system of passage ways and roadworks in the mode of science fiction, not reality.

And the so called "sovereignty" Israel will be "permitted" to have over Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley would require a four, yes 4 year moratorium on building. That would cause major problems, since new houses are built in most places every year.

For more unpleasant details, I suggest reading Arlene Kushner's The Really Big Fly in The Ointment!!*

Ancient Shiloh

Women still come to Shiloh to pray, just like in Biblical Times
Americans and other foreigners are terribly chutzpadik telling the Jewish People where to live and build. Our documented history in places like Shiloh is more than ten times the existance of the USA.

Trump Stepped in It, "Deal?" Bleh 🤮

I can't find the post/item from early in Donald Trump's political/presidential career in which he said that there can never be an imposed peace; the parties have to negotiate themselves. But I do remember blogging about it with enthusiasm. Unfortunately for all, including Trump's eventual record as United States President, someone, or the dangerous feeling of omnipotence as POTUS, turned his head.

Donald Trump and his close staff, including his Jewish son-in-law Jared Kushner, have stepped in it for sure with their so-called "Deal of the Century." It's not a "deal." It's a dangerous proposal they want to impose on Israel and our neighbors enemies.

Even if it's better for Israel than all previous proposals, it won't give us PEACE.

The closest thing to true peace and security for the State of Israel and the Jewish People world over would be:

  • The State of Israel must declare full SOVEREIGNTY over all the Land we still hold, which had been liberated in the 1967 Six Days War.
  • We must make it perfectly clear that there's nothing to negotiate.
  • All terrorists caught in the act must be executed immediately, no trial and no cushy jail time.
  • The PA-Palestine Authority must be disbanded.
  • Har Habayit, the Temple Mount must be administered by Jews, full Jewish rights to worship including a suitable building until the Third Temple is complete.
Those are the basic principles. Once our enemies realize we mean business, life will be more peaceful, Gd willing.

Is Insane Israeli Political Situation Due to Foreign Interference?

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will be continuing another few months as "interim," AKA "lame duck" Prime Minister. We're going to have a third round of Knesset elections in less than a year, and unless something very dramatic happens, the situation -stalemate- will continue ad nauseum. I suggest reading Arlene Kushner's article about it.

IMHO there are two guilty parties in this unprecedented situation, Avigdor Yvette Lieberman and the backers/instigators of Benny Gantz's Blue and White political party.

Lieberman has repeatedly destabilized Israeli Governments, and my guess is that there's foreign money behind Gantz and cronies. I'm not sure what's behind Lieberman. Could he have been planted here decades ago from the USSR? Or is he just "having fun" playing politics.

About Blue and White, don't forget that during Obama's US Presidency, there was blatant American interference in Israeli politics to unseat Likud's Bibi Netanyahu, V15. They haven't given up, and now they're targeting both Bibi and Donald Trump. I don't have the capabilities to prove it, but I have no doubt.

"Blue & White," Follow The Money

As is the norm for professional, full-time soldiers in Israel, Benny Gantz, Gabi Ashkenazi and Moshe "Bogie" Ya'alon retired rather young. Of the three, only Bogie went searching for another strenuous career. Bogie has been in politics, first teasing Likud supporters by posturing as on the Right and strong on security. But it didn't take long for him to disappoint his Right/Likud supporters.

One shouldn't ignore the simple fact that Gantz, Ashkenazi and Bogie made their ways up the power ladder in the IDF when the "rungs" were sawed off for anyone even marginally on the Right of Israel's political spectrum or wore a kippah full-time. Truth be told, the IDF of their time was much more secular and Leftist than today.

Many people were surprised at the sudden appearance of the three with Yair Lapid, as they heralded a new "Centrist" party, which they cleverly called "Blue & White," the colors of the Israeli flag. Lapid the more dedicated and successful politician surprisingly gave up the top spot to Gantz. Political pundits, "anyone but Bibi" supporters and quite a few others on all sides of Israeli politics have commented that the four don't look like a comfortable mix. But in politics there are agendas and backers. I'm interested in the backers. Follow The Money
Who crafted/assembled this "knock out Bibi" party? Who's funding this "knock out Bibi" party?
Shades of V15, the not very subtle American interference in the 2015 Israeli Knesset Elections. Four years ago it seemed pretty clear that the Obama administration and Obama's backers were interfering in Israeli politics to get their nemesis Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu out of office. This year, with Donald Trump as American President, the "anyone but Bibi" forces aren't connected to POTUS. They've regrouped, and I suspect that they're funding Blue and White. Of course, I can't prove anything.

Politics is complicated and not all that simple, nor clean. Gd willing, we'll survive.
