Gaza War Musings #78 Deals Don't Bring Peace!! Israel Must Act as an Independent Sovereign Country!!

Unfortunately, our weak, woke hapless Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu has relinquished our sovereignty to American President Donald Trump. We never hear Bibi forcibly and confidently objecting to Trump's plans, deals and demands reminding him that he is President of the USA, and he has no authority over Israel. Actually, I don't think we hear anyone in the Israeli Government say that we're not property of the United States.

Israelis, whether politicians, officeholders, journalists or just plain citizens should be protesting in every way possible about American interference in our security. The USA is not a loyal ally. Its government and policies change with the wind, depending on the moods and priorities of its politicians, military and bureaucrats.

Please remember well that when former US President Harry Truman ordered the American UN Ambassador to vote in favor of Partition for a Jewish State and a few months later officially recognized the State of Israel, he was forcibly defying the State Department's directives

American Government bureaucracy, like the Israeli, considers itself superior to the elected executive and legislature. That is actually what the attempt for Judicial Reform was about. Bibi didn't fight for it, nor taking down the Defense Department's glass ceiling, because he needs the support of the bureaucrats to stay in office. He's not a fighter. He loves the limelight, but his true power is much smaller than people think.

Back to Trump and his deals...

Donald Trump is a business man, a real estate mogul. He's neither a military man, a theologian nor a historian. Bringing true peace to "the Middle East" is 10,000% different from developing Manhattan's West Side and turning a dangerous deteriorating slum area into a beautiful, popular upper-middleclass neighborhood. Turning a muddy Manhattan shoreline into an attractive park walking distance from new lovely, attractive apartment houses takes totally different skills and mindset compared to turning terrorist Gaza into a peaceful society.

Poverty isn't the reason for the popularity and dominance of terrorism in Gaza. Gazans could grow their own food, plus for export if they wanted to. But they don't want to and they don't need to. Most of the outside world wants to see them as "starving," so instead of using their energies and manpower for farming and industry, as the Jewish residents of the very successful Gush Katif did, they prefer "charity" so they can use their energy and money to attack Israel in the cruelest of ways.

Think about it.

And back to the fiction that a deal can end a war...

Would a "deal" have stopped Nazi Germany or Japan?

Nope!

War Musings #75: The War is The Result of Dangerously Incorrect Israeli Policies Since Our 1967 Victory

The Land is all ours in terms of History and 1967 Victory, but successive governments have failed to declare Israeli Sovereignty which has caused our enemies to get stronger and more confident. That's why we are forced to fight successive wars for our very survival.

The Land is all ours in terms of History and 1967 Victory...

Europe's and many other countries' policy as reported here, EU moving toward implementing sanctions on Israeli West Bank settlements, ambassador confirms, is the price of Israel's waffling on our rights to all the Land, Judea, Samaria, Jordan Valley and Sinai which were liberated 59 years ago this week in the Six Days 1967 War. If the government of the time had proudly and confidently declared full Israeli Sovereignty ריבונות over every inch/centimeter of it, the world would have understood it and accepted it. But The State of Israel responded with shocked embarrassment and even "disgust." With few exceptions, making a better straighter road between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and expanding the Jerusalem borders to include the Old City, Mount Scopus and Neve Yaakov, which had a lot of Jewish owned land, nothing else was made officially Israel.

Farms, agricultural communities mostly for export were begun in the Golan, Jordan Valley and northern Sinai, but Israel didn't declare sovereignty there. Our misguided successive governments just kept offering to return the land in exchange for peace. Menachem Begin foolishly followed Labor policy and gave away the Sinai, Israel's perfect buffer zone, to Egypt. Arik Sharon and his followers used that precedent to justify his Disengagement, destruction of Gush Katif. And all it did was to increase the attacks on Israel. Yes, that was after no more Israelis were in Gaza. Their hatred and aggression, as you must know, only got worse after Israel's withdrawal, because they saw Israel's weakness and lack of self loyalty.

I was 18 on the outbreak of the Six Days War, and I remember how awed the world was at our miraculous victory. It was squandered by successive Israeli governments. When will we ever learn....?

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #56: VICTORY Prayer Haiku #3

Here in Israel we're just a few short weeks from two years since the heinous Gazan terror attack on thousands of innocent Israelis, men, women, children, infants and the elderly. The victims were tortured, murdered and kidnapped. They were raped, decapitated, incinerated and in many cases forced to watch their loved one suffer before they all died. The survivors and those who survived trying to rescue them are so emotionally scarred, their lives will never be the same.

This was a cruel immoral pogrom. In many cases the victims were the same people who had aided those very Gazans who attacked and guided terrorists to unarmed, undefended peace-beliving civilian homes.

So many words are being written about it, some based on truth and mercy and others on hatred and lies. I don't have the strength for long wordy arguments, explanations and personal prayers. That's why I like the simple haiku, just seventeen 17 syllables in three lines, 5, 7, 5. Here are a few more of my Morning Coffee Haikus. I hope they speak to you. They're posted most mornings on my Facebook page. I've posted two other haiku posts, 1 and 2; please click and enjoy.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #36- Dangerous Surrender!

As a student of the Bible/Tanach, most recently Prophets/Navi, that's the message. Gd will save us if we do the right thing. That's how we won the 1967 Six Days War and the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

I kept suspecting, fearing that Israel's Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu would fold under American pressure, but I prayed that he'd be opposed by other Likud leaders and coalition ministers. Unfortunately, he and all but one of the ministers failed to oppose it.

Just Otzma Yehudit's Itamar Ben-Gvir opposed American rule over the State of Israel. He's the only reliable leader. That's it. I'm hoping to hear angry voices from Likud backbenchers. So far, silence.

Netanyahu has given up our sovereignty and totally buckled. He let the USA decide our defense policy.

Biden announces Israel's truce with Lebanon with hope of paving pathway for Gaza ceasefire

I'm not interested in his fancy oratory. I look at facts and policy. The next war in the north will be a gazillion times worse. It's clear. This has been happening ever since Bibi has been ruling. Read my other articles, please. I don't have time to write more now.

This is what I wrote last night on facebook:

Gnite

It shouldn't surprise you that I'm beyond, angry, miserable, scared and worse.
I'm not the only Israeli feeling totally betrayed by our government coalition. Bibi is just what I've been saying for years, a "closet Leftist." That's definitely the most polite term I can use.
You can Google what I wrote on Shiloh Musings in 2008 which I titled Impressive*. FB blocks the link and hides....
I don't care what spin Netanyahu puts on what he agreed to, but it's a surrender. A military surrender and a surrender of Israeli sovereignty.
Why hasn't the coalition crumbled?
Why isn't the Likud demanding Bibi's resignation?
Why aren't the families of our dead and wounded soldiers out in the streets shouting?
The deal, or whatever you want to call it a travesty.
It's a danger to the survival of the State of Israel.
I'm beyond angry.
What do you think?
If you agree with what I've written, please share.

I'd appreciate your comments, and share if you agree, thanks.

Israel Attacked by Hamas 2023/5784, War Musings #15 If The WW2 Allies Had Fought Morally, Nazis and Japanese Would have Won..

If The WW2 Allies Had Fought Morally, The Nazis and Japanese Would have Won The War

Graves in Shiloh Cemetery, not of soldiers killed in
Hamas-Gaza War  5784

Our Soldiers Shouldn't Die in Vain!

There's a major disconnect between our IDF soldiers on the ground, doing the fighting, and the upper echelons making policy, the government and top officers.

Our IDF soldiers are the best in the world. First of all, most are civilians now serving in the reserves. They've left their families, studies, jobs, businesses, and too many have lost their lives. Their successes in battle are future books and movies.

There's only one problem. The government is weak, groveling to foreign countries and worse. With all the rumors of a "break in fighting," as if it's half time in a football game, releasing terrorists, lots and lots of terrorists from Israeli jails to free a few hostages

The State of Israel is also giving fuel, food and other supplies to Gaza. That makes them stronger and more confident fighting against us.

Even more incomprehensible, the State of Israel is warning Gazans before destroying buildings, so "innocent civilians" won't be injured. Now, do you really think the terrorists stay in the buildings to die? A bigger question is: Are there any innocent civilians? They voted in Hamas. They were part of the attack on Israel's south, raping, murdering, stealing valuables. Remember that they were instrumental in giving Hamas all the important information which made the attack so easy. These "innocent civilians" pretended to be friends with the gullible, peace-loving Israelis. Remember that terrorists don't wear uniforms. They look like regular civilians.

Some Israelis, including top army officers and government ministers are proudly bragging that "there was never an army more moral than the IDF."

Moral?
  • What's moral about endangering our soldiers?
  • Wasting our ammunition?
  • Feeding our enemies while battles are still raging?
  • Giving the enemy time to rearm?
Yes, no other country has ever done such a thing! But it's bad! It's dangerous! Not only does it endanger our soldiers and civilians, it makes it impossible to win the war. Yes, I've said it!!!

Look at history. Can you imagine if during World War Two the allies had warned the Nazis before bombing? Thrown food packages, rather than bombs on Japan? I know know what would have happened. Today we'd be speaking German and Japanese, because they would have won the war.

Don't let our soldiers die in vain and don't cause the defeat of the State of Israel. The United States wants to rule here, which was their plan in 1973. Yes, it's the truth. I suspected it then and over the years learned that my gut was right. It has been confirmed by a few sources, among them Deceit of an Ally by Bruce Brill.

US President Biden has been very up front about saying that the USA plans on sponsoring/supporting/establishing a "Palestinian State" in the middle of Israel when the war ends. All the "aid" we get is payment/bribery for this. It's a way of controlling the State of Israel. And if you've been following what's happening in the world you know that "from the river to the sea..." is a popular slogan. People all over the world unabashedly demand that Israel cease to exist!

The Davidka, Israeli made weapon from our War of Independence 75 years ago

Over the years, Israel gave up the attempt to be self-suffiecnt in producing military equipment arms. Even our own inventions, things we still produce need certain parts from the USA, and we have to follow their rules/policies to buy them. We can't even sell those weapons to a foreign country without American approval.

Bit by bit we've been giving up our sovereignty. We were stronger when we had no allies. That's how/why Gd joined us in 1967 in the super miraculous, legendary Six Days War!!!

Let's fight to win!

Tell Biden and others to butt out. That's the only way we'll really survive! I have no doubt that when foreign countries see us strong and ignoring them, they will give up. That's the only way we'll win and survive. We have no choice. Right now the terrorists and our other enemies are laughing at us, because we're trying to be nice, instead of fighting to win.

Gd willing our Israeli Government will get WISDOM, STRENGTH and that's how we'll win.
