I suggest one of the "NOW" leaders. Basically whoever (among Israelis) is pushing a "deal" with the Hamas/Gazans instead of defeating them, until they beg us to stop.

23 Years After Rabin, and The Left Still Uses Him to Incite vs Right

It's a full generation, twenty-three 23 years since Yitzchak Rabin was assassinated, and the Left continues spewing hatred, blame and distrust against what they call "the Right."

Their definition of  "the Right" is anyone and everyone who didn't agree with Rabin's policies. We, yes, me too, are considered as guilty of, complicit in the murder. Honestly, I am innocent; I had nothing to do with the murder. You can go through all of my articles of the time. You won't find a hint of violence against people I disagree with.

I knew of nobody promoting violence. We were too busy trying protect ourselves against Arab terrorism and threats from the Israeli Left to banish us from our homes. We saw the Oslo Accords, which had been forced on Rabin by the Left, as a danger to Israeli security. We couldn't understand the logic in giving Arabs weapons. And our assessment was correct.

The Israeli Left continues to use the murder of Yitzchak Rabin as a weapon against their political opponents. The dangerous hate comes from their end of the political spectrum, not ours.

We're too busy building and developing our communities and Our country, the State of Israel. That's all we ever wanted to do.

Their refusal to respect our right to disagree is antidemocratic, as is their refusal to allow us to speak. Promoting hatred can only backfire. It is bad for any society, especially a country like Israel, which has deal with so much antisemitism from the world. The Israeli Left is only playing into the hand of our international enemies.

Gd willing, may they soon rid the hatred from their souls.

Oslo Accords Never Could have brought Peace

Why is the Left, still beating a dead horse? It's decades after the Oslo Accords was revealed, and it was a rogue action. The Israelis who "negotiated" it hadn't been sent by the Israeli Government. They should have been jailed for treason.

Rabin was suspicious of Oslo Accords, but he allowed Peres to bulldoze him into supporting it.

Why have there been so many articles about it recently?

In the United States, even after over half a century, there are still many questions and mysteries surrounding the assassination of  President "JFK" Kennedy. So, the fact that there are still too many rumours and versions no doubt masking the truth about Yitzchak Rabin's assassination shouldn't really surprise us.

I doubt if the truth has or will ever be revealed or confirmed about either national trauma.

If JFK's assassination was to heat up the "cold war" and galvanize hatred of the pro-communist/socialist, it didn't work. But the Israeli Left has been milking Rabin's assassination very effectively to demonize people like myself, who live in Judea and Samaria and consider the contribution of the Revisionists, Etzel and Lechi to our War of Independence terribly under-rated.

Yitzchak Rabin had the gall to state that he was only the prime minister of his supporters, not those of us who opposed the Oslo Accords. He also inflated the percentage of Israelis who supported that notorious rogue agreement.

I'm not an expert in the various JFK "conspiracy theories," but I do know a lot about what had been happening in Israel in the decade or more before Rabin was killed. The Shabak's agent, Avishai Raviv, worked hard radicalizing the youth on Israel's Right, high school students and later in Bar Ilan University. He was also on the scene when Rabin was shot and there are witnesses who say he announced it before it actually happened. He was even in police stations when students were interrogated about their alleged involvement in the assassination.

Honestly, I don't mourn Rabin. At best he was a dupe of the Left. His supporters continue to blame the Israeli Right for the murder. The official memorials just play on divisions in Israeli society. Anyone who knows Israeli prestate and early State of Israel history knows that all of the violence and discrimination was from the Left against the Right.

We have a long way to go to heal these rifts in Israeli society, and manufacturing new tragedies isn't the way.

Worrying Antidemocratic Phenomenon

Over twenty years ago, when Yitzchak Rabin was Prime Minister of Israel and complaining against the growing popular protests against his approval/acceptance of the rogue Oslo Accords, he was recorded as saying* that he's "the Prime Minister of 98%**  of the people."

This statement of Rabin spooked me out then, and that unpleasant, worried feeling hasn't lightened one iota ever since I first heard it.

We all know that politicians in office do feel more kindly to their supporters than those who didn't vote for them, but they are supposed to their best to at least give the impression that they will serve all the people of the country or district they represent.

No doubt it wasn't easy for American President-Elect Donald Trump to meet POTUS Barack Hussein Obama the first time after all of the nasty hate-mongering things Obama had said about him. But they both did and said the proper things, literally gritting their teeth, (maybe holding in the bile,) as they posed before the cameras praising each other and promising a smooth transition for the good of the United States of America.

In Israel, Right, Left or Center, we're pretty used to the reality of finding ourselves with a Prime Minister we abhor, but we accept it as a fact of life and don't riot in protest.

I find the anti-Trump "not my president" riots, protests etc., which is even supported by schools and universities, not just the media, worse than disturbing. It's the protests and lack of acceptance that portends dangerous undermining of the Constitution and democracy in the USA.

The United States proudly claims itself to be one of the oldest democracies in the world, but it isn't behaving as one. This has me worried. I hope that Hillary and Obama will quickly and very publicly send everyone home for a good night's sleep and request that they do the proper thing and recognize rule of law that Donald Trump will be their next President.

The Divisive Legacy of Yitzchak Rabin

There's so much more behind the story of Yitzchak Rabin's assassination that the authorities and mainstream media are hiding. From the minute it was announced, innocent people like myself, who live in Shiloh and other communities in YESHA have been implicated.

Just this past week, the Jerusalem Post had a long feature article in its magazine Trying to understand Yigal Amir 21 years on by NATAN ODENHEIMER, which can only be accessed by people who pay for it.

I went over that article twice, once on Shabbat and just now to check out something very crucial in the story. All sorts of people are blamed with "inspiring" Yigal Amir to his extremism, but the one most important name of the most suspicious of them all was left out, Shabak agent provocateur Avishai Raviv, who had been assigned to work with youth, high school and university for about ten years. Yes, I know for a fact that he had been working with high school youth trying to activate them years before his job in Bar Ilan University. All during that time he used the same cover. He claimed that his army injuries gave him free university tuition plus living expenses and he was "volunteering" for idealistic reasons.

Is Raviv mentioned? Nope!

If you do a check on what happened that night. Avishai Raviv was there and played a role, and it's no secret that he was also involved in all sorts of activist/anti-Oslo Accord groups, even directing a fake one for Israeli Television.

For the past twenty-one 21 years, the Left, the pro-Oslo and Shimon Peres worshipers have  been using the assignation, which is clothed in questions, as a tool to defame the Right and split the country. NRP Education Minister Naftali Bennett is correct in his complaints here:

Relieved That Shimon Peres in No Longer With The Living

OK, for all those who kept telling me to wait until after the burial, or after Rosh Hashanah or after Yom Kippur for writing how I really feel about the death of Shimon Peres, here it is:

Yes, I'm relieved that Shimon Peres was taken by Gd before the beginning of the new Jewish Year 5777. Peres's death, stroke etc. is the sort that is totally a decision of Gd Almighty. The doctors did their best to give him a chance to live longer, and Gd gave him time to repent, if that was his desire. And even with a delayed goyishe-style funeral and placing the coffin in public display for the day before, it still left time for Peres to be buried before the end of 5776 and Rosh Hashanah 5777.

For decades, Shimon Peres had been the world's most popular Israeli. When Yitzchak Rabin was assassinated, he got the accolades, but the Israeli whom the "world" really listened to was Peres. Peres was a master at "old world" charm, while Rabin was too much the Israeli sabra for that. Menachem Begin also had the "charm," but too many people feared his his politics. Remember that the international media, like the Israeli one, is extremely Leftist and elitist, so Shimon Peres talked their talk and walked their walk, while Menachem Begin unabashedly spoke of Jewish Rights and the wrongs done to the Jewish People.

I met both of them, and Begin's "old world" mannerisms, kissing women's hands and warm smile included caring eyes, while Peres's smile, voice and posture were very cold and calculating. I never felt that Peres cared, while I had no doubt that Menachem Begin sincerely felt for people. And just to make it clear, if you don't know, I stopped politically supporting Menachem Begin once he began his Camp David decision to give Egypt the Sinai and destroy the Jewish communities that had been built there.

Let's go back a generation to delve into Shimon Peres's international popularity. The key was his success in convincing then Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin to accept the Oslo Agreement, even though it was an illegal, immoral rogue operation without the support of the Israeli Government. Yes, instead of jailing the perpetrators led by Yossi Beilin who had secretly by their own initiative negotiated the dangerous deal, Shimon Peres got Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin to approve it.

It was via the Oslo Accords that Yasser Arafat was rescued from his exile, set up as Palestinian sic leader, and weapons were given to his so-called police. Basically, the terrorist Arafat was given a "state in the making," which has become the world's largest magnet for money and subsequent corruption, besides officially supporting terror against Israelis.

Ever since Shimon Peres's success in bamboozling Yitzchak Rabin, the world has treated Peres as Israel's most important and powerful politician, regardless of his official titles or lack of any. And when Peres held the officially non-policy position of President of Israel, he took advantage of it and spoke and acted as if he had political and policy powers.

Many of us here in Israel were extremely relieved when his term in office had officially ended. But his influence over the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the media, here and abroad, didn't end when he left office. Nothing stopped Peres from meeting diplomats, press and talking policy. And even now that he's buried, his fans use his name to try to convince Israel of what they want us to do. That's what American President Barack Hussein Obama did when he spoke at Peres's funeral. It doesn't bother any of them that in Israel's democratic process, Peres never succeeded in leading a political party to victory. There is no direct election of Prime Minister here; it was tried once, and when Likud's Binyamin Netanyahu was easily elected, the Leftists got the law repealed.

I hope I'm not overly optimistic when I say that I don't see Peres's popularity here in Israel growing after his death. Peres was popular with the Left, but he left the rest of us cold. Now it's time for him to try to negotiate with Gd about his true legacy. And we in the Land of the Living must do what is best for the Jewish People and not care about what the world thinks. That is the only way to keep our Eternal Light burning, Gd willing. 

Rabin Conspiracy Theories, Realistic?

From the very first news reports of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, many knowledgeable people felt that something was "off" in the reported story. Too many people to be ignored consider that the fact that Shabak agent Avishai Raviv's leadership in the Bar Ilan University student group of which Yigal Amir was a member strongly tainted the official story. I am among those who feel that there was some sort of Shabak led conspiracy during the Oslo period, which is being ignored by the mainstream media and public figures.

Avishai Raviv was an attractive, charismatic and well-financed figure who worked with Jewish high school youth, yishuvim and university students over a period of about ten years, from the mid-1980's to the Rabin assassination in 1995. Only after he left the field did the Bar Ilan students in the group realize that all their expenses had been completely covered and supported by Raviv.

It's a known fact that Rabin had been pushed or duped into accepting the Oslo Accords, an agreement of sorts, which had been negotiated by private individuals who had no legal right to commit as representatives of the State of Israel.

The process began in January 1993 in a meeting with two Israelis, Dr. Yair Hirschfeld and Dr. Ron Pundak, and Palestinian representatives headed by Ahmed Qurei, aka Abu Alaa. The contact between the groups was made through Norwegian mediators, who contacted Dr. MK Yossi Beilin. A short time later, Beilin was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and he officially acknowledged these talks, while depicting them as unofficial. Minister of Foreign Affairs Shimon Peres was updated by Beilin after the first meeting took place in January, and Peres informed Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in early February. (Knesset site)

If anything, those who initiated contact and committed Israel to these conditions should have had been charged with treason. But inexplicably, they were fully backed by Israel's Leftist leadership most prominently by Shimon Peres. By all reports Rabin hadn't a clue as to what had been taking place.

Yitzchak Rabin was a team player and didn't get to high office by shaking the boat. And talking about boats, it's a fact that he followed Ben-Gurion's orders to attack the Altalena soon after the Declaration of Independence.

Those who know the truth about the Rabin assassination have kept their silence. There are many questions that need answers, and I wonder if we will ever get them.

One of the worst results of the assassination, is that it has been used as justification to condemn, blame Israel's Right, the pro-Jewish Life in all of the Land of Israel. The hateful and untrue statements made annually and more frequently against the most patriotic of Israeli citizens is how Yitzchak Rabin's followers wish to promote his legacy. This lack of unity is the greatest tragedy of all for the State of Israel and the Jewish People.

The Annual Hate-Fest Has Begun

Israeli Leftists who have no doubt been relieved to have a substitute for the old rallying cry of "remember Arlosoroff," have begun their annual Blame the Right for Yitzchak Rabin's Assassination celebration. They jumpstarted the yartzeit, Jewish anniversary of death with a large pep rally in Tel Aviv. 

I heard a bit of it last night on the television news.  The newscast featured Rabin's grandson illogically proclaiming that the most suitable thing to do in his grandfather's memory would be for Israel to (give in to all Arab demands and) finally "make peace."  It was clear in his words that only the Likud and the Government of Israel was guilty of perpetuating the lack of a peace treaty with the Arabs.  I have no doubt that his grandfather wouldn't agree, but it's clearer than the finest glass that Israel's extreme Left has taken over the "Rabin legacy."

I certainly didn't hear the NRP aka Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett's memorial message on the news:

"On the memorial day for the murder of Yitzhak Rabin z"l," write Bennett, "I will state the obvious (perhaps it is not obvious to everyone) – the murder is a terrible thing, which must never be repeated. It has the potential to tear apart the state of Israel. This obvious thing does not prevent me from strongly opposing 'the Oslo path.'
"I believe this path is misguided and has caused tremendous damage, sorrow and grief to the people of Israel and to thousands of families that lost their loved ones in the post-Oslo terror."
"For some years," he went on, "an equation was made, between denouncing the Rabin assassination, and supporting the Oslo path. I remember a poster that said 'we will not forget and we will not forgive,' which showed Rabin's picture and under it, Netanyahu's. In effect they were blaming Netanyahu for the murder, and saying 'we will not forgive.' I do not accept this at all."

For a message like Bennett's you need to tune into Arutz 7.  i24 didn't have it either.  They just focused on promoting Rabin's grandson:

In fact, the only family member present tonight was Rabin’s grandson, Jonathan Ben-Artzi. He ended his conciliatory speech by calling up current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to seize the opportunity afforded to him and current political landscape and bring peace to Israel. “I’m not here to blame you for what happened that night on the square or for the events that led to his murder,” said Ben-Artzi. “My grandfather was assassinated struggling for peace and you owe it to us to accomplish that goal.”

I have no doubt that if the truth ever comes out about the assassination, it will be revealed that it wasn't planned by anyone on the Right, just like it had been discovered a long time ago that the Revisionists didn't murder Arlosoroff.  Not that the Israeli Leftists have changed corrected their history books.

I find it totally preposterous that the Israeli and international Left blithely continue to blame Israel for the lack of "peace" here.  All facts, all history show the exact opposite.

• Israel has not initiated any wars with the Arabs.
• The Arab countries and terrorists are the ones who attack and threaten annihilation of Israel, not the opposite.
• Regardless to the dangers to our security, Israel continuously offers peace gestures  and concessions.
• It doesn't matter what Israel offers, the Arabs refuse and then up the ante, make much more extreme demands.

So why does the Israeli Left persist in this lie? 

Yonatan Ben-Artzi made absolutely no demands of Palestinian Authority  chairman Mahmoud Abbas nor of the new Iranian regime but instead placed the task of making pace on the shoulders of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Jewish Press 

Blaming Israel is actually seditious. If the judicial system here in Israel was objective, it would be a good idea to prosecute those who blame the Government of Israel for our lack of peace.

Bill Clinton, I Can Play Those "If" Games, Too

If Hillary had divorced Bill, she would be United States President today!

Considering that Clinton's judgment was lower than his charisma, why should anyone take him seriously?  Did Bill use his "Divorce is not an option" line to Hillary when caught in his extra-marital affairs?

As I've written numerous times, peace isn't up to us.  We're not at war against our neighbors.  The Arabs unabashedly declare that they want us dead and gone.  They attack, terrorize etc.  Israel just takes it, trying to invent various "defensive shields," and on the rare ocassions when we do fight back, we're condemned by the world.

Yitzchak Rabin's policies were not bringing Israel towards peace, just to a more weakened state when our enemies were (as always) planning our destruction.

There's nothing like death, especially a violent one, to turn a controversial figure into a "saint."  Israel's Left, supported by like-minded international figures and organizations, has so efficiently and professionally exploited Rabin's murder; you'd think they had orchestrated it...

Yitzchak Rabin's Legacy, The Altalena

The Israeli media is now full of 1984-style programs and statements in memory of their idol, Yitzchak Rabin.  In contrast, many of us remember a different Rabin and a different Israeli History.

Yitzchak Rabin was a David Ben Gurion loyalist, a Palmach officer, an IDF (Israel Defense Forces) Chief of Staff, twice Israel's Prime Minister, who was murdered (assassinated) after a public appearance at a Left wing rally, fourteen years ago.  Since then Israel's Left, media, politicians, academics etc have used it as the springboard, justification for massive character assassination against anyone who dares to disagree with their opinions and ideology.

If this was literature, instead of history, it would be written as a classic case of poetic justice, "...a literary device in which virtue is ultimately rewarded or vice punished, and often in modern literature by an ironic twist of fate intimately related to the character's own conduct."

That brings us to the Altalena, a tragedy caused by vile hatred of Jew against Jew.  It dwarfs the despicable sezon, when Ben Gurion's followers gave names of fellow Jews to the British to have them arrested and worse.

In 1948, Menachem Begin's Irgun had managed to buy much-needed arms for the battle for Israel's Independence.  An agreement had been reached with the new provisional government concerning how they were to be used and distributed, with a priority for freeing Jerusalem's Old City.  But David Ben Gurion tricked him and ended up sending his soldiers, including Yitzchak Rabin, to attack the ship, sink the weapons and murder Jews.

"Begin had meanwhile boarded the Altalena, which was now heading for Tel Aviv. He hoped that it would be possible to enter into a dialogue with the Provisional Government and to unload the remaining weapons peacefully. But this was not the case. Ben-Gurion ordered Yigael Yadin (acting Chief of Staff) to concentrate large forces on the Tel Aviv beach and to take the ship by force. Heavy guns were transferred to the area and at four in the afternoon, Ben-Gurion ordered the shelling of the Altalena. One of the shells hit the ship, which began to burn. There was danger that the fire would spread to the holds which contained explosives, and the captain ordered all aboard to abandon ship. People jumped into the water, whilst their comrades on shore set out to meet them on rafts. Although the captain flew the white flag of surrender, automatic fire continued to be directed at the unarmed survivors. Begin, who was on deck, agreed to leave the ship only after the last of the wounded had been evacuated."

The late Shmuel Katz, told me that he had always believed that the main goal of the attack was to assassinate Menachem Begin, whom Ben Gurion considered his strongest rival.  Menachem Begin, always the noble gentleman, in his naive innocence could never accept such a theory, nor would he demand apologies and cheshbon nefesh, accounting of the soul, from those who attacked him and his followers.

In Psychology there's a principle called projection, "Projection also appears where we see our own traits in other people..."  That explains why Menachem Begin and Israel's pro-Jews in the Land of Israel Right wing do not constantly verbalize character assassination and incitement against the Left, but the Left always does it against the Right. 

The Israeli Left has a documented history of discrimination and violence, for example the Altalena and Amona, against the Right, though they have no problems constantly proclaiming us as violent and guilty of attacking fellow Jews.

Israeli society is still suffering from pre-State hatreds and the Yitzchak Rabin murder is being utilized as a tool against a large and growing segment of the Israeli public.  I don't know if we'll ever really know who was behind that assassination.  I just know that the Left has enthusiastically adopted it as their mantra, their weapon of choice against loyal and innocent Jewish citizens.

Jiminy Cricket, The National Union!

At this point, what should the role of the Ichud Le'umi, the National Union, be in Israeli politics, in the Israeli Government in Israeli life?

Caroline Glick admits that their policies are consistently correct:

THE ONE POLITICIAN who has been outspoken in opposing the mass release of terrorists has been MK Ya'acov (Ketzeleh) Katz, the leader of the National Union party. Together with the families of terror victims who oppose the government's intention to release their relatives' murderers, Katz has been the loudest voice in politics stridently opposing the deal. He has made clear that it will endanger the country and guarantee the murder and abduction of still more Israelis.
Katz and the National Union have it right on this issue. Indeed, they have it right on just about every major strategic issue they have championed. From their opposition to the failed Oslo process to their opposition to the failed Camp David summit, from their opposition to the withdrawal from south Lebanon and Gaza to their opposition to the failed road map peace process and the failed Annapolis peace process, the National Union has been right all along. It has always stayed true to its principles.

But as right as they are, she claims that to be wrong.

FOR ALL of its strategic wisdom and clearheadedness, the National Union is a political home for delusional politicians. In all of its various incarnations - from Tehiya to Herut to Moledet to the National Union - the party has never been able to understand what it means to govern. It has never been able to recognize that politics is the art of compromise.

But why should the only honest, clear-thinking party back down and conform to the Israeli PC delusions? Don't blame the National Union and its predecessors, Techiya and Moledet, for Israel's problems. Just like Pinocchio endangered himself and Gepetto by not listening to Jiminy Cricket, Israeli politicians who followed American orders, rather than do what was best for Israel, must admit their fundamental mistakes.

In 1992, angry that Likud under prime minister Yitzhak Shamir bowed to US pressure and participated in the Madrid peace conference, Tehiya brought down his government. In so doing, it brought in Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres and brought the country the Oslo process and Yasser Arafat in Ramallah.
In 1999, angry at Netanyahu for bowing to US pressure and agreeing to the Wye Plantation accords, the National Union brought down his government. In so doing, it brought in Ehud Barak and Yossi Beilin, the withdrawal from Lebanon and the Camp David summit.

The Likud's tragic weakness has always been its desire to show that it's not an "extremist Right wing party."

That's why Menachem Begin defied his voters and supporters when taking office, in 1977, and gave the post-Yom Kippur War failed Moshe Dayan the authority to decide policy.

That's why Yitzchak Shamir agreed to go to the Madrid Conference and didn't pack and leave with a parting: "אין עם מי לדבר Ain im mi l'daber. There's nobody to speak to." After Arab terrorists shot at a bus full of innocent Israeli women and children on their way to a demonstration. The terrorists murdered two, my good friend and neighbor, Rachella Druk, mother of seven and the bus driver, Yitzchak Rofeh. A number of children were also injured. Shamir should have used this as an example of why it's impossible to negotiate with murdering terrorists.

That's also one of the reasons for Ariel Sharon's Disengagement policy which, besides destroying Jewish homes, towns, businesses etc and turning peaceful, innocent Israelis into homeless evictees, it brought Arab terrorist missiles closer to Israeli civilians.

Glick shouldn't blame Techiya. Shamir should have left the conference and apologized to Techiya and the Israeli People for his "momentary" weakness. Techiya would have then rejoined the government, and then we never would have had to cope with the increased terrorism caused by the Peres-Rabin Oslo Accords which gave even more advanced weapons to the Arab terrorists and facilitated the horrendous situation we're in now.

As a Techiya, Moledet and now National Union voter and supporter, I expect my party to be the conscience of the nation. Somebody has to be. Glick sure isn't. I don't want my MK's haggling over ministry perks like the NRP.

It took a while for Pinocchio to get it Right, and I hope we won't need to get swallowed by a whale first.

We Didn't Murder Rabin!

I'm sick and tired of the perpetual mantra, "...the extremists in the settler movement who justify political murder." And when it comes out of the mouth of Nissan Slomiansky, an NRP Knesset Member, I'm less inclined to vote for any party list he's on.

Naively, I was hoping that this Jerusalem Post article, A lonely kippa backstage: Rabin Rally is too divisive, would be more balanced. Instead it was worse.

At least the article "admitted" that it was a "celebration," rather than a sad memorial.

"During the celebration, a former Meretz MK approached him..."

The theme, as usual, is blame the settler, and make "peace" by giving the Arabs Judea and Samaria. This time, they (look at the signs) demanded that US President-Elect Obama use his influence to push an agreement through.

And just to remind you, that (even if you ignore all the questions re: the official account) Rabin was killed by a young man raised in Herzliya, an upperclass Tel Aviv suburb. And one should never forget that Rabin was the officer in charge of attacking/murdering innocent Jews on the Altalena. Let the Left do their "cheshbon nefesh," accounting of the soul, first. They must first attone not only for the Altalena attack, but also the sezon and other immoral acts over the decades against Jews who don't agree with their ideology.

An Olmert-Kurzer Kind of Jew

Last night the Israeli media was all excited that Rahm Emanuel, a Jew, a son of a yored, a former Israeli, was appointed as Obama's Chief of Staff.

I'm describing him as "An Olmert-Kurzer Kind of Jew." because his father was in the Etzel, a Revisionist, like Olmert's and he's an American-first Left winger promoting a Pseudistinian State like Daniel Kurzer.


Emanuel stage directed the famous Rabin-Arafat handshake.

That makes him the latest court Jew for us to worry about. He'll be sent here to badger us, in fluent Hebrew, to further endanger the security of the country.

G-d help us from ourselves.

Good Sportsmanship--Winner Takes All--Rabin's Legacy

Having grown up in America, the concept of "good sportsmanship" was ingrained, the way I'd hope that "derech eretz" would be in the Jewish World.
Israel is all abuzz with the way some Betar Jerusalem Soccer fans reacted to the imposed "minute's silence" in memory of Rabin.
Who remembers how Rabin, as Prime Minister, treated the opposition?

"Let them spin like propellors!"
"I'm Prime Minister of 96% of the people."
"לא מזיז לי!" Meaning: "Doesn't interest/affect/move me."

These were his reactions to the demonstrations of hundreds of thousands of Israelis who protested his Oslo Accords, in which he had pledged to destroy most of the Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.
I'm not even going to get into the Shabbak, Israeli internal secret service, connection to the pre-assassination anti-Rabin protests and all that.
Rabin made it clear that "winner takes all," meaning that he, as Prime Minister, was not beholden to the opposition. He only cared for his supporters. That same philosophy explained why he never apologized for leading the troops against his fellow Jews on the Altalena. They killed Jews. Yes, Yitzchak Rabin was the commander of the Palmach unit which shot and killed Jews.
And for the past twelve years, how has his supporters reacted to his death? They incite against all who politically opposed him. They haven't ceased accusing us of complicity in murder.
We are innocent. We are victims of hate.
Betar Jerusalem fans said: "Ouch!" Yes, they could have used more dignified language, but they aren't murderers. They are tired of being accused of crimes they didn't commit. Don't forget how Rabin's Labor party would refer to them as the "riff raff," when putting down Menachem Begin's supporters. There's certainly no reason to penalize the Betar Jerusalem team for its fans' uninhibited behavior.
Keep politics out of sports.
Nobody should expect the "right" to be silent until the "left" stops attacking it. Christians preach "turning the other cheek," but they don't follow it, and we certainly don't need to adopt such a dangerous precept.
Rabin's legacy is to attack the opposition, cause dissent. It's time to move beyond it.
Good Sportsmanship is "how you play the game," not about winning and losing.

Chasing Tails

It looks pretty dumb, doesn't it?

Actually, when I googled for a picture of a cat catching his tail, I was hoping to see something more "active."

Israeli politicians are like cats trying to catch their tails. They are the antithesis, the exact opposite of what true leaders really are.

Last night's hate-filled TV eulogies of Yitzchak Rabin revealed more of his underlying rationale for Oslo. Believe me, Olmert's not the first tired Israeli politician. Yitzchak Rabin was also tired. One of his confidants, sorry, but I forget who was talking, explained that during the Gulf War of US President Bush The First, Rabin was depressed by the sight of cars streaming out of Tel Aviv. He looked at those Israelis fleeing their homes and knew that they were his kind of people, the ones whose votes he wanted. That's why he liked the Oslo Accords. It suited Israelis who had no problem fleeing their homes. Even better, those Israelis got to keep their homes, while the patriotic Land of Israel loving Israelis would, G-d forbid, be exiled from theirs.

Yes, instead of offering leadership and encouragement to the Israeli citizens, Rabin packaged a plan based on the worst and weakest of the Israeli psyche.

True to form, Rabin never apologized for his violence against fellow Jews during the Israeli War of Independence. He was a dedicated follower of Ben Gurion who feared competition for leadership and ordered Menachem Begin to be killed when the Altalena tried to dock to deliver fighters and arms to free the Old City of Jerusalem. Yitzchak Rabin was the commander of the Palmach unit which attacked the Altalena and killed their fellow Jews, Hashem Yikom Damom, May G-d Avenge Their Deaths.

Know Your Enemy

There's great confusion in Israeli society, and it's not new. During Oslo times, 14 years ago, an old friend came up to me at a Bar Mitzvah and greeted me with:

"It's nice to see you, even though you're the enemy."

I was so shocked, that I couldn't reply. Yes, imagine me at a loss for words. Rabin, who had commanded the unit that shot to kill Jews on the Altalena, scored great success during Oslo in fostering the idea that innocent, patriotic Zionist Jews like myself were a danger to the State of Israel. His Yartzeit is coming up, and that's the best I can say about him.

Olmert is even stranger, since he wasn't raised to be Left-wing. As a "convert" to that philosophy, his enthusiasm is tinged with "green," envy, greenbacks...

Now it has been revealed that the security forces of his Arab terrorist partners were planning to assassinate Olmert. Considering his release of terrorists who haven't yet succeeded in murdering Jews, I hope he gives the same additional opportunities to these failed assassins. Otherwise, it just wouldn't be fair.

The Sin of the Attack on the Altalena Continues

Just a few days ago, the Jewish People fasted and prayed to G-d, begging forgiveness for their sins. At least some Jews did.

Others, davka, those who fly the flag of "superior morality" have never admitted the grave sins they still perpetuate against fellow Jews.

Over a generation ago, Ben Gurion, Yitzchak Rabin and other leaders of the emerging State Of Israel not only attacked to kill fellow Jews on the Altalena, enthusiastic patriotic Jews who only wanted to fight for the good of the state, but their political inheritors are continuing in their war against the most loyal Israelis.

We embarked on our voyage
To suffer and fight for you.
We brought you revolutionary courage
And an arms-ship to liberate you.

For years in Europe
We toiled without pause
To bring you Altalena,
The fruit of our labors.

And how you received us!
God,
We'll never forget!
Of brothers-in-arms we dreamt,
But encountered the cannon blast.

And although they sank Altalena,

To the whole of Eretz Yisrael,

The Israeli Government, now led by Ehud Olmert is perpetuating the sin. At the same time that he is promising the bulk of historical, Biblical Israel to our enemies, those whose entire aim is to destroy us, G-d forbid, and at the same time that he is freeing convicted Arab terrorists, Jewish dissidents are being kept in jail.

"Nothing's new," as King Solomon repeated in Kohelet, Ecclesiastes. We're in "the time of" King Saul, who wasted his energies persecuting David, instead of destroying Amalek, the true enemy of the Jewish People. Finally, G-d ordered Samuel the Prophet to depose him and make David the King.

Yes, since "nothing's new," we will rule in the end, and that is what frightens the Left the most. Someday, they will have to pay for their sins.

Olmert's taking a page from Rabin

I know that it's not "pc" to tell the truth about Yitzchak Rabin. The media likes to think that his being assassinated wiped out his sins, such as the fact that he was the officer responsible for the Palmach unit which shot up the Jews on the Altelena and sank the arms which were bought and shipped to liberate the Old City of Jerusalem from the Arab forces. They want us to forget that his reaction to the massive hundreds of thousands of Jews demonstrating against his Oslo plan, when he said:

Let them spin like propellers.
and
I'm prime minister of 98%* of the people.

*I may be wrong about the exact number, but he made it clear that he represented the people who supported him and the rest of us could just "get lost." That's about the most polite way to put it.

Yes, that was the real Yitzchak Rabin.

And that's the attitude of Olmert.
PM aides downplay 'irrelevant' TA rally

Let the people be damned. I'll just go on and show I'm tougher.

That's a pretty accurate way of paraphrasing the policy.

Israeli politicians consider themselves elected dictators. That's why Sharon had no trouble firing any cabinet minister who disagreed about Disengagement.

Neither Rabin nor Sharon had such a wide spectrum of opposition. Last week's demonstration didn't have the buses coming in great numbers from YESHA. The organizers wanted to show that you don't need a kippah to be against the government.

But Olmert doesn't care. He has been holding the reins since Sharon's stroke, and he'll need to be lassoed real tight to give them up.

What happened to...?

Carl asked what happened to Margalit Har Shefi. She was arrested on trumped up charges of "not preventing the assassination of Yitzchak Rabin."

She was among the unfortunate group of Bar Ilan law students persecuted by the police. Some were only interrogated, but others were jailed. They were all set up and framed by veteran Shabbak operator, Avishai Raviv. Raviv had been involving himself in various right-wing youth activities for a number of years before Rabin's assassination.

Why is this all suddenly in the news again?

It reminds me of the Rosenberg executions in the states, during the red-witch hunt. I read a book a number of years ago, which proved that Mrs. Rosenberg really had nothing to do with it, but she was charged in order to get her husband to confess. In the end, they were both executed as "spies." Considering their end, should Jay Pollard be happy he has been in jail all these decades? Of course, he was working for an ally, not an enemy. But they're all Jewish....

Former chief of intelligence (Shabak) Ami Ayalon, now a Knesset Member, revealed Thursday night that Margalit Har-Shefi did not realize that Yigal Amir intended to assassinate Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin. (full article)

The Har-Shefi family isn't surprised. They always knew that she was innocent. Now, G-d willing she should be able to get on with her life and not be blacklisted. And yes, the government should be sued. Carl, you're a lawyer; why don't you help?
