Ladies, Boycott "Always"

As you would most probably guess, I'm past the age of needing "Always" and similar products. But I must admit that in my day, that was the brand I frequently bought. A few days ago, a friend tipped me off about the fact that "Always" supports UNESCO. Yes, that means that every time you buy a package, you're supporting an international organization that downplays and denies the Jewish connection to our holiest sites. UNESCO also accepted Palestine, sic as a member since 2011.

What a sorry state of affairs when women have to choose their sanitary napkins according to politics!

And even worse... Did you notice the blue P&G logo?

P&G

Always is a product of a very large company that makes other iconic products like Pampers, Tampax and Tide! If you have any of these at home or see them in a store, please check to see if they, too, give some of their profits to UNESCO or a similar type of NGO. Please comment with relevant information.

I don't care what you say about me, as long as you say something about me, and as long as you spell my name right.
George M. Cohan
Gd willing the labeling of products made in Jewish businesses Judea/Samaria will help rather than hinder! EU moves ahead with labeling goods made in Israeli settlements. There are many people who will davka use the labeling to buy products produced here.  I hope they will put out a comprehensive list so that people will know which products are best to buy.

Thanks to the international and home-grown antisemites we can grow even greater!!

ZERO TOLERANCE: Terror, BDS and More

Reuters
The Jewish People have begun a new year, 5776, and it's time for a new policy, "Zero Tolerance!"

We must react strongly and firmly against all attacks, whether terror or BDS or faux human rights
sic boycotts etc.

Benny Shoham, father of Yehuda, HaY"d, who was murdered
by Arabs who threw a large rock at their car, holds him
during the funeral.
If we don't start acting firmly against all of our enemies, whether they are well-dressed with high-class polished accents or armed with rocks, firebombs or guns, things will continue as is getting much worse, meaning dangerous, for the Jewish People and the State of Israel.

All terrorists, whether they succeeded in murdering a Jew or not must be immediately executed. They are not regular criminals; the self-confessed terrorists. That means, that they do not need a trial, because there is no justification and no chance of mistake if found with the weapons in the act of murder or attempted murder.

Boycotts, whether just against Judean/Samarian products or all Israeli products, like the new call to boycott from Iceland must be taken as seriously as a terror attack.
European Jewish Groups Rail Against Reykjavic Decision to Boycott Israeli GoodsEuropean Jewish groups railed against the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik’s decision this week to adopt a boycott of Israeli goods, with many calling the move purely discriminatory. (Algemeiner)
The Israeli Ambassador must be recalled and all diplomatic and commercial contact stopped. It's not Jewish to "turn the other cheek," and even the Christians don't follow such a precept.

Arab terrorists of all ages must be punished, and if they are minors their parents should also pay the price. Adding special guns to the police arsenal will not stop terrorism.

And performers who break contracts to placate the BDS antisemites must be fined so much that they will suffer financially for years.

The Temple Mount must be cleared of Arab terrorists and their weapons. And as collective punishment, no Arabs should be allowed in for a long period of time. In the interim, a place for Jewish Prayer must be built.

Shabbat Shalom and Gmar Chatimah Tovah

Will Orange Suffer a Boycott if it Divests of Israel?

I received the following message as a comment on my blog:
Batya, please post if Orange divests from Israel. I will not know about it from the UK, but here many people are with EE, which is owned by Orange. If Orange leaves Israel, I will leave EE here.
I just wonder how many people will try to boycott Orange related companies if they really close down their Israeli operations.
The CEO of French telecom giant Orange SA said Wednesday that he would have liked to sever ties with Israel as early as "tomorrow," but isn't ready to take the financial risk such a move would entail.
French human rights groups have been pushing their government, which has a quarter stake in Orange, and the company itself to end its business relationship with its affiliate, Partner Communications Ltd., a popular Israeli mobile provider. The groups cite Partner Communications' activities in Israeli settlements as the reason for the push.
Speaking at a news conference in Cairo to lay out plans in Egypt for the years ahead, Stephane Richard said his company intends to withdraw the Orange brand from Israel as soon as possible, but that the move would take time. (Israel Hayom)
It seems that the company and its subsidiaries should be boycotted.

"We want to be one of the trustful partners of all Arab countries," says CEO of French mobile company Orange, Stephane Richard | Photo credit: AP

I'm glad that we left Orange years ago. We signed up with the relatively new Golan-Telecom about a year and a half ago. We get unlimited service including calls abroad and two foreign numbers. Family and friends call me at a Long Island phone number. Golan doesn't have large fancy showrooms and stores. It's an Israeli company.

Over the years we had tried almost all of the big cellphone service companies, and they just take tons of money without providing more service than we get now.

The boycott of Orange must be abroad. Boycott all of their related companies. If anyone can give a listing in the coments here, it would be appreciated.

The Politics of Noodles aka Boycotting Turkey

Since I work in Yafiz, Sha'ar Binyamin I've found myself doing a lot of shopping in the Rami Levy discount supermarket. We're all part of the same "complex" and business. Especially when you consider that our "public toilets" are in Rami Levy, in the back near the bread, I do go in quite frequently. And I do enjoy the good prices which Rami Levy can offer, since he has an enormous business.

One of the things I began buying there was pasta. There's always a special which cost much less than at our neighborhood store. And of course they are all kosher so I just look at the price and shape. Then a few months ago, I noticed in a comment on facebook about Turkey being Israel's enemy and the hypocrites who buy cheap Turkish noodles... Hmmm... Eeks! Gevalt, could that be me?

I don't like being a hypocrate, so the next time I went noodle shopping, I turned around the packages and looked carefully on its back through the bottom of my multifocal glasses:

Yes, those cheap noodles are from Turkey!

Finally I found these.

I guess that most of  the  pasta on Israeli supermarket shelves, along with Rami Levy's house-brand, Hamutag, is now imported.

So the past couple of times I had to stock up on pasta, instead of looking at "price only," I peered very closely at the fine print on the back of packages. We have never been in the market for a cheap Turkish vacation, so the only economic boycott we can join is the "Pasta Boycott."  So, please join us and if necessary take along a magnifying glass when shopping.
