UN, USA More "Concerned" about Terrorists' Homes than Jewish Lives

Bus Was Target of Terror Attack (ABC News)
No surprise really that there's something very fokokt about the faux moralists, such as in the United States, United Nations etc. They are much more "concerned" about the fate of the homes of murdering arab terrorists and illegal buildings for Arab/Bedouin squatters than they are about the innocent Israeli/Jewish victims.
U.S. 'concerned' about Israel destroying Palestinian homes: spokeswoman

The United States is "concerned" about Israel's demolition of Arab buildings in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, a State Department spokeswoman said on Friday, adding that it raised questions about Israel's commitment to a two-state political solution to the Palestinian conflict.
Israeli demolitions leave West Bank Bedouin, U.N. alarmed
The European Union came and built a temporary classroom and other prefabricated structures, an effort to help a community of around 40 families, some of them still living in caves, that subsists without electricity or mains water in a part of the West Bank fully under Israeli control, known as "Area C".
Two weeks later, the Israeli army returned and demolished 17 homes, 21 pens for sheep, goats and chickens, and five outhouses, according to B'tselem, an Israeli NGO.
Considering the dangers that the Arab terrorists cause to ordinary Israelis, you'd think that would be the issue that concerns the United Nations, United States, European Union and the numerous NGOs who support the Arabs anyway they can.

The buildings that the NGOs of the European Union and United Nations etc. have been building are totally illegal. The Bedouin are squatters who wander around seasonally polluting natural resources and stealing. That is the truth and that is their lifestyle and has been for a long time. They have absolutely no legal rights to the land they wander through. And certainly according to "international law" or the law in all countries, squatters have no rights to build! So it's very clear that all these NGOs and their supporters are acting illegally and immorally! Their aim is to sabotage and destroy the State of Israel.

Recent Building in Shiloh

Just a reminder to send in your posts (http://blogcarnival.com/bc/submit_17508.html) to be included in the next Havel Havelim, thanks.

Shiloh is a living, thriving, growing Jewish community, aka small town, in the Biblical tribal Land of Efrayim, though in today's Mateh Binyamin, Benjamin County.  Well over three hundred families live here, Jews of all ages, backgrounds etc.  At the recent Shiloh Conference #2, it was made clear that none of the archeology experts, even the most secular who do their best to find results to contradict the Bible, can deny that Shiloh was a very important city in ancient times.

At the tour of Tel Shiloh, we were told that when Joshua took over (there was no battle/opposition) the Canaanite city of Shiloh, the existing city walls were used as the base for new structures adding storage area etc.  Today, families are adding to their homes.

Once children marry and have children of their own, the old house isn't large enough to house them all for visits, Shabbat, holidays etc.

Younger families are also building homes.

The homes are different styles and different construction techniques as you most probably notice.  There are few building regulations in Shiloh.  We don't demand red or tile roofs, nor is it required to use stone-facings.

There is such a market for homes here in Shiloh that there are even a couple of multifamily projects.

This is very convenient, because new instant neighborhoods can be built in convenient locations, and the prices per unit are less than private one-family homes.  Even though housing in Shiloh is less per meter than in the cities and even some of the other yishuvim, it's still a lot for some people.  These apartments are a good housing solution. Besides the fact that not everyone wants to deal with gardens etc.

No matter what you think of Jewish building in Judea and Samaria, you must admit that our homes are much smaller and less ostentatious than the humongous mansions the Arabs are building.

Jerusalem, Another View, or Two

Recently I visited a couple in what was built to be the "posh," suitable for wealthy olim, neighborhood of French Hill. At least that's how I remember it from the very early 1970's.

Yes, I'm referring to Tzameret Habira, Capitol Heights. The neighborhood is a series of "terraced" apartment buildings on the side of a mountain with a commanding view in the direction of the Dead Sea.

Today you see massive illegal Arab building. While every storage room or raised roof on Jewish buildings must get all sorts of formal approval or be demolished, the Arabs build helter skelter. The government and police are afraid of the subsequent violence and just ignore what happens in the Arab sectors. They take their frustrations out on innocent, idealistic Jews in Judea and Samaria.

And while we're mentioning building in Jerusalem, here's another photo of the roads downtown being prepared for the "lightrail."
