Gaza War Musings #80 Bibi's UN Speech 2026, Listen Carefully

A version of this was first posted on my Facebook page immediately after listening to Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu's 2026 United Nations General Assembly speech. As you may know, I'm not a fan of his and don't want him to continue as Prime Minister or in any position in Israel. You can read my earlier posts, especially those of the War Musings series. And, in case you're curious, I'm an UNDECIDED. I still don't know which party to vote for in the upcoming Israeli Elections.

I'm curious about what you think of my post and Bibi's speech. One of my complaints has been mentioned numerous times, since Bibi brags about what I consider one of his worst policies. Please think about it and let me know what you think of the issues I've brought up. And, yes, please feel invited to share this and other posts. And if you notice any typos that I missed, don't be shy, let me know, thanks.

I just listened to Bibi's UN speech...eh...
As usual he bragged about that dangerous weak woke policy of protecting what he calls innocent Gazan civilians. Terrorists are civilians. Barely 24 hours before his speech, I heard Avinatan Or speak about his capture three years ago on October 7th 2023 by GAZAN CIVILIANS. Yes, the same people Bibi proudly protects. Think about it.
Also Bibi incorrectly stated that Arab terrorists only attack "settlers." That's a lie. Arab terrorism is all over the country. And I don't trust that Bibi is capable of victory. He had been prime minister for a decade plus before October 7th 2023 and throughout the war. If his policy was really VICTORY, we'd have seen it by November 1, 2023. Actually, he would have defeated the terrorists years before. The October 7th attack wasn't a new war; it was another -much bigger more violent- attack in a long, long war. This war has been going on all through Bibi's rule. Each time there's a ceasefire, or just "quiet," he claims that "we won and it's over." Obviously, it's not. I don't trust his fancy words; I look at the facts, the bottom line.

I am not a huge fan of Bibi but have to give credit where credit is due. He did a lot for the economy. He got through 8 years of Obama which could not have been easy. Any time a right wing government tries to take pre-emptive action they are attacked by the media and by pressure groups with the media on their side. The courts make it impossible for the elected officials to rule and pass laws. Do you think Gantz, Eizencott, Lapid, Golan, etc. could do a better job? We are still too dependent on the USA and it will cause us problems. A thirty part Hamas- made Ramadan show that was shown in Gaza in 2022, had in the last episode, the Gazans attacking Israel JUST LIKE THEY DID IN 2023! Where was EVERYBODY? Where was intelligence, army heads, etc.? We are in a no-win situation when we are so disunited! And it does not seem to be changing. Bibi gets blamed for everything and gets credited for nothing by the people who hate him more than they hate our murderers!

Bibi didn't support Judicial Reform. Economy is his strong point, but militarily he's a total failure, and the names you mentioned are no better. He's a dictator in the Likud. Only his poodles get safe seats.

I still don't understand who you think can do better of all the politicians

Serious change is required. Bibi has proven himself a dangerous failure. He should have retired and apologized to the State of Israel.

Why don't you try to become the PM,.
Wonder how many would vote for you.
You just critzize from your thinking.

I'm not a follower. My knowledge of life here is a lot broader and more accurate than most. In Israel, an individual does not just "try" or run for the position of Prime Minister. I'm not a politician with experience and connections in the Knesset. Bibi is a failure. We've been suffering the dangers of war and terrorism throughout his time in the drivers seat. We need change. I look at the bottom line. I'm here, as an adult, since 1970, 56 years.
