A little history...
East of these mountains I can see from my house is Jordan... Here's the very short history of Jordan. It was invented by Britain when they were looking for someone to hold onto the eastern part of the Mandate. The entire Mandate was supposed to become a Jewish State. So the Brits imported a foreign sheik, Abdulla and made up the "Kingdom of Jordan." Then they and their buddies in the newly formed UN decided that the Jews should share what was left with another Arab "nation", as if Abdulla wasn't Arab. They drew a map, which resembled blood splatter, and told the Jews, grandparents and parent of those rioting against Bibi, that they could have the splotches while the rest would go to the "palestinians." And that's how that "nation" was born.My musings, reflections on life here in Shiloh, Israel. Original, personal, spiritual and political. Peace, security and Israeli sovereignty. Saga Riding the Ariel Arab-Filled Buses, Yesterday
Yesterday, again, I needed to catch a bus to Ariel from the "shfeilah," west of Shiloh, after a festive luncheon with friends in Pardes Chana. This time I was dropped off at the Oranit/Elkana bus stop, which I hoped would give me a better chance to get on a bus than at the Yarkon Junction.
In the afternoon, buses to Ariel are full of Arab workers who get off before Ariel. The buses are so full that most don't even stop unless someone needs to get off. At the Oranit/Elkana bus stop, generally a few people get off, so there's a better chance to get on the bus, and in addition there are a few more lines going to Ariel.
After close to ten minutes of waiting a bus came that did let passengers off from the back, but the driver didn't open the door. BTW, I was waiting with a bunch of Arab men for a bus to Ariel, no other women or Jews. A few Arabs went/snuck in by the back door, something I wrote about a few weeks ago. I got closer to the front door and tried to get the attention of the driver and succeeded.
The bus driver opened the door and signaled to the men waiting that only I was to board the bus. Happily I did, even though all I could see on the bus were Arab men. The driver also asked the man sitting in the first seat to get up so I could sit. Yes, not for the first time, I sat next to an Arab on a bus.
![]() |
| My view from the front seat of the bus to Ariel. Our road was clear, while most vehicles were traveling towards Yarkon Junction and beyond. |
When we pulled out of that bus stop, the bus was almost totally empty. A few minutes later we entered Ariel, and I got off at the Ariel University. I walked to the trempiada, hitchhiking post there and miraculously got a ride to Shiloh within a couple of minutes. My neighbor took me straight to my door. Gd is great!

Revisiting Sha'ar Binyamin, My Jewish-Arab Workplace
Yesterday, I shopped in Rami Levy, Sha'ar Binyamin. I hadn't been there for a very long time. For close to six years I had worked in Yafiz in the commercial center. I worked with Arabs. It's definitely a Jewish-Arab Workplace. I sold to Arabs. I got to know some of the Arab staff in Rami Levy.
When I had been asked to join the Yafiz staff, nobody told me that I'd be entering an entirely new world. Nobody told me that there would be fellow staff and lots of Arab customers. I honestly don't know if I would have taken the job if it had been described that way.
At the time I began working in Yafiz, we really needed the money. Not that I got decent pay in Yafiz; it was minimum wage. But even minimum wage is better than no wage at all.
On the whole my experiences with the Arabs, fellow workers, including at Rami Levy, and customers was very pleasant. I gained a certain confidence for sure. When Arab (men, of course, women didn't) tried to bargain with me to get a lower price, I made it very clear, in my firmest teacher's voice, that nobody, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY got discounts. All customers paid the same price. I even learned a few words of Arabic to help me.
Many Arabs used to love to come and talk to me in English. There were those who said that coming to Yafiz reminded them of America.
An elderly Arab woman used to shop for clothing to send to her grandchildren in Egypt. Jordanian businessmen used to tell me that they loved the selection of children's clothes we had. There was even a time when Arab tourists used to come in vans for "shopping tours."
Yesterday I was surprised at the friendly greetings I received from workers and customers there, Jews and Arabs alike.
There are still many Arab workers, but one thing I noticed, even the last two years I worked in Yafiz, that there are fewer Arab customers. Apparently, the PA Police try to punish those who shop in Jewish businesses and confiscate their purchases.
I want to make something very clear. I'm what can be called an extreme Jewish Nationalist, who firmly and unabashedly believes that there is none and never has been a Palestinian People, Arab terrorists should be executed even without a trial if caught in the act and full Israeli Sovereignty must be declared over all the Land held by the State of Israel, even the Land that has been allowed to the PA-Palestinian Authority. But I also believe that one of the ways to develop peace between Jews and Arabs is to carefully give the Arabs a chance. At the same time there should be zero tolerance to any Arab who even hints at pro-terror feelings.

GUEST POST: Time Magazine vs Truth
Time Magazine vs Truth

In this article about the Palestinians in Gaza, 3 of the 4 pictures
show Palestinians suffering. There are no pictures of Palestinians
holding weapons. Their protests are described twice as peaceful.

Last, but not least, we speak about the Israelis, who

CONCLUSION: The article “World Beyond Hope”
by Karl Vick contains no context and no balance;
it is a one-sided propaganda essay that whitewashes
the numerous wrongdoings of Arabs and Muslims,
while portraying Israel and Jews and one-dimensional
villains who just want to kill innocent people for no reason.
“Israel, it ought to be recalled, is the only country in
the world targeted for annihilation. That has been true
from the day it was proclaimed as a state in 1948 until today.
It was true before Israel was forced to conquer East Jerusalem,
Gaza and the West Bank.

This essay is a critical analysis of the article titled:
“World
Beyond Hope” by Karl Vick, published in
Time Magazine, on
2018 May 28, on page 26.
______________________________________________In this article about the Palestinians in Gaza, 3 of the 4 pictures
show Palestinians suffering. There are no pictures of Palestinians
holding weapons. Their protests are described twice as peaceful.
______________________________________________
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that the
Palestinian protesters in Gaza repeatedly attempted
to destroy the security wall that protects Israel from terrorists.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that the
protesters were armed with knives, clubs and Molotov Cocktails.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that the
Palestinians in Gaza have repeatedly dug underground
tunnels into Israel, so
they could kill and kidnap Israeli civilians.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that the
Palestinians in Gaza have repeatedly sent kites loaded
with flammables into
Israel, which has caused numerous
fires, which has destroyed both crops and
nature preserves.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that the
Palestinians in Gaza shot thousands of rockets and
missiles into Israel, mostly
aimed at civilian targets.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that the
Palestinians have repeatedly rejected peace offers from
Israel, peace offers
that would have given them 99%
of what they wanted.
[Or more accurately, the Palestinians were offered 99%
of
what they told Western audiences they wanted,
to mislead the Western audiences to believe that
they would accept something less than the total
destruction of Israel, to make themselves seem reasonable.]
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
Muslim hatred against Israel and Jews is often inspired
by Islam’s most
important sacred writings: the Koran
and Hadiths. Additionally, Muslim
hatred against Israel
and Jews is often inspired by the famous anti-Jewish
forgery titled: “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”,
which is a perennial
best-seller in the Muslim world.
This article never mentions the fact that Palestinian
schools
and Palestinian mosques teach hate
and lethal violence against Israel and Jews.
This article never mentions the fact that the
Palestinian
Authority (PA) gives cash rewards
to the families of terrorists who died while
killing Jews.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
thousands of Israeli Jews have been murdered by
Muslims, with countless bombings, car-rammings,
knifings and shootings; the victims have included
teenagers and children and pregnant women.
This article said: “Hamas is SEEN AS In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
thousands of Israeli Jews have been murdered by
Muslims, with countless bombings, car-rammings,
knifings and shootings; the victims have included
teenagers and children and pregnant women.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
Hamas,
the organization that rules Gaza, is officially
committed to killing ALL Jews, all around
the world:
even those Jews who never visited Israel, even those
Jews who are
not Zionist, even those Jews who are
anti-Zionist. This is written in the Hamas
Charter.

In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
Hamas
has repeatedly pushed Palestinian civilians,
including children, directly into
the line-of-gunfire,
so the news-media could report that Palestinians
were
killed by Israeli gunfire.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
Hamas
uses children to dig underground tunnels into
Israel, so they can kill and
kidnap Israeli civilians.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
Hamas
creates shelters to protect themselves,
but no shelters for Palestinian
civilians.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
Hamas
uses Palestinian civilians, including children,
as Human Shields.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
Hamas
killed hundreds of Arabs and Muslims,
without trial and without civil rights,
because
they were seen as violating Islamic law [Sharia]
or because they
were viewed as opponents of Hamas.
All this, and author Karl Vick describes Hamas not
as a
terrorist group, but merely as being “SEEN AS
a terrorist group”,
as if their status as terrorists
were a mere opinion, that is subject to
debate.
______________________________________________Last, but not least, we speak about the Israelis, who
are the only people portrayed as villains in this article.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
Israelis
warned Palestinian civilians in advance about
their military activities, to
reduce civilian casualties.
This kind of
warning is extremely rare,
and you can count on one hand the number
of armies
that offer this type of warning.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
every day, Israel sends trucks filled with food and
medical supplies to Gaza.
This inconvenient fact
is routinely omitted by news reporters who want
to
promote the false idea that Israel is trying to
kill all the Palestinians.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that

of missiles and rockets at Israeli civilians.

and the only country
in the entire Middle East
with modern standards of civil rights, including
freedom of religion and equality for women.
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that
in
Israel, Arab citizens have voting rights and are
elected to membership in the
Israeli Supreme Court
and membership in the Israeli parliament [the Knesset].
In this article, there was no mention of the fact that

cover displayed a large six-pointed star,
like the six-pointed star on the flag
of Israel.

GUEST POST: Basic Middle East Facts
Basic Middle East Facts

Israel is the ONLY real democracy in the entire Middle East,
and the most pro-American country in the entire Middle East.
The other countries in the Middle East are brutal dictatorships,
with: no free press, no freedom of religion, no real elections,
few rights for women, and are jam-packed with: illiteracy,
racism, anti-Semitism, hate for women, and hate for America.

Total number of Muslim nations: 57
Total number of Arab nations: 22
(with total land area 350 times the size of Israel)
Total number of Jewish nations: 1
(65% the size of New Jersey, one of the smallest states)
If a Palestinian State were created, it would be
the 58th
Muslim country and the 23rd Arab country.
Israel’s “West Bank” has been an
almost-completely-self-governing
Palestinian area since 1995. The same is true
of Gaza since 2004.
Last but not least, Jordan (an Arab nation more than three times
the size of Israel) was part of the British Mandatory Palestine,
and was
originally intended to be part of the Jewish homeland.
Jordan **
IS ** Palestine. In year 1970, Yassir Arafat’s
Palestine Liberation
Organization (PLO) attempted to take
control of Jordan, because they recognized
that Jordan is Palestine.
In 1978, Shimon Peres told Menachem Begin:
"Jordan is
also Palestine".
For many years, the Catholic Church refused to recognize
both
Israel and Jordan, because both countries are the Biblical “Holy Land”.
President Ronald Reagan said this in year 1980:
“Israel and Jordan are the two Palestinian states envisioned
and authorized by the United Nations. Jordan is now recognized
in some 80 per
cent of the old territory of Palestine…”
SOURCE:
CONCLUSION:
The Palestinians already have a state: It is called Jordan.
Jordan is more than three times the size of Israel.
Gaza and the West Bank are de facto Palestinian States,
therefore the Palestinians already have three states.
