Trump Ahead, because He Voices What People Think/Feel

trump

I'm not surprised that Donald Trump, despite all the naysaying pundits, is leading in his quest to get the Republican Party nomination to be President of the United States. Today's Americans just don't trust the government nor do they trust the mainstream politicians. They've seen too much lying and corruption and they don't like the fact that the banks no longer give interest on savings accounts. They understand that the reason is that the American economy is falling down the drain.

They're impressed by a man who can build enormous real estate projects, in which some live and shop, and make money. And they're impressed by a man who isn't afraid to say exactly what they feel and think about today's USA and the issues.

It doesn't bother them that he has never held public/political office. Actually, it's a plus.

Trump's supporters hope and pray that as President he will continue to be "his own man" and not allow the usual paper-pushers to push him around.

Your average American has a justified fear of masses of refugees (or are many just opportunists at best and terrorist/anarchist "sleepers" at worst) who have no plans to assimilate into American culture and norms.

Your average American has been reading the labels on affordable clothes and the expensive ones, and they can't find anything that says "Made in America" any more.

Your average American is angry and scared.

Your average American fears the for the future of the United States of America.

Your average American doesn't like what the government has been doing these past few decades. They don't want another Clinton, Bush nor Obama clone.

And that's why Donald Trump is leading the polls.

What do you think?

Yair Lapid's Economic Scare Mongering

What's behind Israeli Finance Minister Yair Lapid's scare mongering?  What's his true agenda?

Yair Lapid: Deficit could cause collapse

Finance Minister: The austerity measures will stop Israel reaching the conditions in Europe with high unemployment.

2 July 13 12:42, Moshe Golan
"The idea that we have people here whose lives are at risk because they are doing their jobs is intolerable in a proper democracy," said Minister of Finance Yair Lapid in his opening remarks at the Union of Local Authorities in Israel, referring to the "loathsome" economic measures he has taken. He said that without these measures, the deficit would balloon to NIS 70 billion within two years.
"We must make changes together. We must do this in two stages. The first, and short, step is to emerge from the deficit. The steps we've taken are painful, I admit it. Raising VAT is painful, raising income tax is painful, but you are people who understand budgets, so it is easy for me to explain this to you: the deficit is not a one-time event, it's structural. If we don’t stop it now, it will continue to grow and grow until it buries us," Lapid said.
The Israeli economy is one of the healthiest in the western/developed world?

Israeli Unemployment

European unemployment
The euro area1 (EA17) seasonally-adjusted2 unemployment rate3 was 12.1% in May 2013, up from 12.0% in April4. The EU271 unemployment rate was 10.9%, stable compared with the previous month4. In both zones, rates have risen markedly compared with May 2012, when they were 11.3% and 10.4% respectively. These figures are published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
Eurostat estimates that 26.405 million men and women in the EU27, of whom 19.222 million were in the euro area, were unemployed in May 2013. Compared with April 2013, the number of persons unemployed increased by
16 000 in the
EU27 and by 67 000 in the euro area. Compared with May 2012, unemployment rose by 1.324 million in the EU27 and by 1.344 million in the euro area.
United States unemployment
Unemployment fell in May from a year earlier in two-thirds of the nation’s 372 metropolitan areas, but 27 still had jobless rates in excess of 10%, the Labor Department said Tuesday.
Eleven of these areas were in California, the country’s most-populous state, which continues to grapple with fallout from the housing-market downturn. El Centro, Calif., had one of the nation’s highest unemployment rates, at 22.8%, surpassed by Yuma, Ariz., at 30.8%.
Maybe we've been doing something right, and if we take those drastic  measures Lapid is recommending things will get worse...  Most of Lapid's economic changes affect the poor, the minimum wage and lower middle class much more than they affect the lives of the wealthy.  And those in the middle-class, from whom Lapid got most of his votes, will feel poorer, rather than more comfortable.

Unlike most developed countries, Israel has a population growth rate in the educated classes of society.  And davka, this important index will suffer the most from Lapid's policies.  Population growth is a key to a healthy society.  All of the old age benefits, pensions, private and governmental are based on the pyramid principle.  The young people pay for the pensions of their elders.  If those young people don't have enough children, then there won't be enough new money in the system when they are no longer able to work.  There's nothing evil in this aspect of the pyramid system; this is just a fact of life. The more children, the more growth the stronger the economy will be in the future.

Such irony, davka, Yair Lapid's political party is called Yesh Atid, There is a Future.  His economic policies endanger the future for Israelis.

Let's Demand a Moratorium to Peace Talks!

I suggest, in all seriousness that Israel declare a moratorium  to peace talks.  Simply, we aren't interested  until the Arabs come begging.  The State of Israel shouldn't beg anyone for peace.

We aren't the aggressors.  We live peacefully with our Arab neighbors.  The aggression, terror, threats and war come from them not us.  So they have nothing to fear from us, from Israel.

It probably will take at least a couple of generations if not longer.  That's no problem.  In the meantime we'll do what is really important.  We will develop and strengthen the State of Israel and make it more Jewish and more secure.  Our economic growth is far better than the United States and Europe.  No doubt more and more Jews will come to live here.  And many Jewish immigrants will want to live all over, including Judea and Samaria.

We must also stop taking advice and orders from foreign countries.  If they're so smart why is our economy better?

If a foreign dignitary, official visiting or a foreign ambassador calls us aggressors, insults or threatens us, like the Turkish and even American ones, we must expel them and declare them persona non grata.  Within no time, we will gain international respect.  If any Israeli media, politician, academic or whatever join in criticizing the IDF or Israeli Government for defending Israel and its citizens, they must be arrested.  That Turkish flotilla aggression would have blown over a long time ago if only we had behaved this way.  They should have had apologized.  Israel did absolutely nothing wrong!

Israel-Arab One-Sided Ceasefire and American Military Aid

There's that "joke" which asks how do you say "ceasefire" in Arabic...

... reload

Like a very broken record, we've heard Israeli Prime Ministers and defense experts claim that if the Arabs just once break the ceasefire and attack... we'll attack back... Nu, it takes a lot more than one Arab attack, violation of a ceasefire for the Israeli Government to move and protect innocent citizens.

A few short months ago, after we finally tried to defend ourselves from Arab terror attacks, rocket launches against Israelis, the world went wild and forced us into a ceasefire.  Yes, we ceased firing and the Arabs have resumed.  The following is from The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC.)
  • On three separate occasions this past week a number of rockets and mortar shells fell in Israeli territory. The attacks were part of a trend of increasing rocket fire from the Gaza Strip which, in our assessment, is being carried out by rogue terrorist networks, especially those affiliated the global jihad. Hamas continues its policy of restraint, maintained since the end of Operation Pillar of Defense.
  • Violence continues in Judea and Samaria, a manifestation of the so-called "popular resistance." Two Palestinian youths were killed during an attack on an IDF post near Tulkarm. Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of trying to sow anarchy and cause security in Judea and Samaria to deteriorate.

  • How many Arab attacks will it take for Israel to do something?

Can this be connected to the news that Israel will be getting more shopping coupons aka gift cards aka military aid from the United States?
According to the numbers published, the United States will provide Israel with $3.4 billion in defense aid, a record number, according to Channel 10.
The budget proposal submitted to Congress also includes a request for the addition of approximately $220 million to finance the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system, a request that was not included in last year's budget proposal, but was added later on.
Please don't forget that this "aid" isn't money for Israel to develop and produce weapons and other military equipment.  It isn't money that Israel can spend in the best and most economical way for our defense needs.

American "aid" is really aid to the ailing American economy.  This is how the capitalist United States can prop up its military industries, and even better for them, when it gives such shopping coupons to Israel, Israel sends its top engineers to check out and improve the American products.

    Food for thought:
Who really benefits from American military aid?
