Ribonut, Sovereignty vs The Trump-Kushner Apartheid Terror Plan

Yesterday I was in Jerusalem and had a bit of time between appointments, so I made my way to the Women in Green's three day "Yes to Sovereignty over the Land of Israel, No to Palestine" conference.

It was good to feel that I was doing more for Jewish Life in the State of Israel than tapping on my computer keyboard, even though I only sat and listened to the speakers. Seeing women and men from all over the country who all agree that we can't play games with our sovereignty and security was reassuring.

Trump's "plan/deal" is a nightmare and diametrically opposed to his original stated policy. He should have stuck with his position that only the parties involved should negotiate, and there should never be an imposed/proposed plan by outsiders.

Now, his so-called Israeli Sovereignty sic requires American approval as if we're under his and Jared Kushner's rule.

The state of Israel is an independent country, and in June, 1967, we were threatened with total destruction by neighboring Arab countries. The results of the war those threats caused was the straightening out of our borders and the liberation of territory which had been used to attack Israel. All international historical precedent is similar situations is that the victorious country absorbs/annexes such territory, and that is what the State of Israel should have done as soon as Jordan, Egypt and Syria surrendered or ceased attacking. Incomprehensibly we didn't, and we've been suffering ever since.

Better late than never, it's the time NOW TO ANNEX ALL LAND ISRAEL HOLDS! If the Arabs don't like it they can leave. Simple.

Gantz & Co Folded Without a Fight

The Blue & White Party led by Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid officially conceded the 2019 Knesset Elections to Likud- Binyamin Netanyahu. I kept hoping that he'd say something about waiting to hear the final tallies after the double-envelope votes are counted, plus surplus distributed. I guess Gantz and crew are awful Poker players. They'd lose to Bibi in Chess, too.

Am I crazy to feel this way? I voted New Right, and we won't know for sure if they're really out in the cold until all the double-envelope votes are counted. Gantz & Co had been played up, promoted like they could beat Cassius Clay, but they ended up like a Woody Allen character, but in real life.

I had been hoping for more drama and excitement. The hype was so stupendous. Think about it. On paper, this shouldn't have ended so blahh.

Three top generals, who had been IDF Chief of Staff and a media star versus the professor's middle son. You'd think it would be a piece of cake for them. Now, granted that the professor's kid had been in a top commando unit, but against three GENERALS?!

It seems that being the middle of three sons can make one pretty tough, too.

Now Bibi, Trump has already moved the United States Embassy to Jerusalem and recognized the Golan as Israel, so we expect you to immediately annex, declare Israeli Sovereignty on Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley, at least all of Area C. Don't forget to destroy all the illegal Arab buildings up there, including those funded by the EU and any other foreign bodies.

Bibi, How Dumb Do You Think We are?

Generally just before Knesset elections, Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu, #1 in Likud, starts his:
"Gevalt!! If you don't vote Likud I won't be able to form a ruling coalition."
And when the votes are counted, it's clear that Likud has leached votes from the Right wing parties. The sum total of potential MKs amenable to being in his coalition are the same as the polls had been predicting, but more are from the Likud. The "smaller" parties are even "smaller."

This time the "smaller" parties aka potential coalition partners are making a point of saying that since they plan on being in the coalition, one shouldn't fear that voting for them would make it harder for Likud to form the next government. So, now, especially since there are at least three political parties self-labeled as Right, now the Likud has come up with a new line:
Jerusalem Post Israel Elections NETANYAHU VOWS TO ANNEX SETTLEMENTS IN WEST BANK IF HE WINS ELECTION
Duh!? Bibi has had a decade to do it. Why hasn't he annexed our Land? It sounds like he's suddenly reading from the New Right platform, which calls for Israeli Sovereignty in Area C. Honestly, ideally I would love to undo the PA-Palestinian Authority, but it's not really feasible at this time. Anyone who says it can be done, is lying.

We know that despite Bibi's promises and smooth talking, he'll just continue as he has, unless he's more dependent on his coalition partners. The only way to see progress in annexing/declaring Israeli sovereignty is  to have a large, strong New Right in the government and Knesset. Honest Right MKs will pull Bibi/Likud Rightward. That's how politics works in Israel. This isn't Kansas; it's not even New Jersey.

The Regulation Law, Will It Make a Difference?

Israeli lawmakers attend a vote on a bill at the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, in Jerusalem February 6, 2017. REUTERS/Ammar Awad

Right, Left and Center Israelis have such conflicting views on the Regulation Law.
"...would legalize housing units built by settlers on private Palestinian land, if the construction was carried out in good faith: If the settlers did not know that the land they were building on was privately owned by Palestinians, and received some kind of assistance from the state, they would be allowed to remain there.
The proposed legislation notes that government support may be explicit or implicit, from the start or post-facto, and that the backing of local municipalities is considered state support.
The bill, sponsored by Jewish Home MKs Betzalel Smotrich and Shuli Moalem-Refaeli and Likud MKs David Bitan and Yoav Kisch, allows the government to appropriate land for its own use if the owners are unknown. If the owners are known, they will be eligible for yearly damages amounting to 125 percent of the value of leasing the land or a larger financial package valued at 20 years’ worth of leasing the plots, or alternate plots." (Times of Israel)
Maybe I'm just a cynic, but I think that it still doesn't go far enough. Like this traffic circle I photographed the other day in Ofra, I don't think that the Regulation Law will really solve the problems. The cycle of attempted settlement, legislative change and then the Supreme Court declaring the laws null and void, "unconstitutional," even though we don't have one...

Consider it a cycle of legal violence against Zionism.

Yes, I, and many others, consider the entire "settlement movement" to be the modern manifestation of the same Zionist Ideology that produced the political structure and rationale for the Establishment of the State of Israel.

The Israeli Left, which once just concentrated on economic ideology, socialism versus capitalism, has dumped "economic utopia" for a flaky unrealistic kumbaya-drug filled dream of Jews and Arabs living and loving together as if John Lennon's "Imagine" is their road map and bible.

Truth be told that Israel is a dictatorship of the Extreme Left Judicial, which self-perpetuates, because only the sitting justices can elect/appoint new ones. They admit they decide by their own moral compass, which according to their interpretation of Israeli Law, supercedes anything passed by the publicly elected Members of Knesset.

Basically, there must be a way for the Knesset to seriously amend the system to take away the veto power of the Judicial. Without that we can never escape their legal tyranny.

And MK Yehuda Glick is being overly optimistic when he says that the next step is Annexation and Sovereignty.  He and his fellow MKs should have had gone straight to Sovereignty for all of the Land we hold.

Israeli Sovereignty, The Faster We Do It, The Less It Will "Hurt"

1- I consider it highly important, vitally necessary for the Israeli Government to unilaterally declare full Israeli Sovereignty over all Land we still hold! There shouldn't be any foreign or Arab rule at all. It would be like leaving bits of cancer.

2- I have no doubt at all that the idea of "gradual sovereignty," which in a sense has been going on since the end of the miraculous 1967 Six Days War, to be the cause of the growing terrorism and international (and domestic) opposition to Israeli Sovereignty.

Israel Road Map

The fear of international opposition has paralyzed successive Israeli Governments, even the supposedly Right-leaning ones, since mid-June, 1967. It's the slowness, the gradual annexation that has caused our biggest problems. If we had only annexed and declared sovereignty immediately after the 1967 Six Days War, it wouldn't have caused any international problems. The world saw and recognized the miracle and would have accepted it. We were like gods of old.

But just like leaving a sticky bandage on and slowly trying to remove it is the most painful way, this slow, never-ending process of wondering if Israel could just keep the status quo is pushing Arabs to identify with terrorism. That's because Israel appears too weak to protect them.

We must quickly, in one strong swoop rip off the bandage of so-called occupation and fully annex and declare sovereignty on Judea, Samaria, the Jordan Valley and any nook or cranny that is still in a status of uncertainty.

Do your best to attend and support the 2017, 5777, Sovereignty Conference on February 12, in Jerusalem.

Israeli Sovereignty Over Ma'ale Adumim Won't Solve The Problem

As I've written before, the world -even Israel's most sincere supporters- is totally confused by the mixed signals and distinctions successive Israeli governments and almost all Israeli leaders make about our rights to the Land we liberated in June, 1967.

If only we had fully annexed and declared Israeli sovereignty at the end of the 1967 Six Days War. If we had done that and fully supported Jewish settlement in all the Land and cities, we wouldn't be in this awful mess.  The world would have accepted it, maybe without much enthusiasm, but the obviously miraculous might, totally inexplicable by military experts, had everyone in awe. OK, that is except some Israelis and they were in power.

You know how sometimes you don't see the forest for the trees, or if you're too close you miss the picture. That's what happened in a simplistic sense. The Israelis running the country, the National Unity Government was cosmetic to muzzle Right wing opposition/criticism, believed that their policies and tactics had won the war, not Gd's. They had also spent the previous nineteen 19 years brainwashing the population that the State of Israel was large enough and we should be grateful that the United Nations had allowed us to exist. And for them, the fact that the 1949 ceasefire lines gave us more land than the Partition Plan meant that we didn't need any more, except maybe the Western Wall.

Just like my complaints a few years ago, when residents of Gush Etzion got all upset that the security fence/wall locks them out of Jerusalem because they consider themselves "consensus" as permanently part of the State of Israel, I think this new focus on "sovereignty for Ma'ale Adumim" is problematic.
Education Minister and Jewish Home party leader
Naftali Bennett (Hadas Parush/Flash90)
"Jewish Home party leader Naftali Bennett on Sunday said he plans to introduce legislation this month that would extend Israeli sovereignty to the Jerusalem-area settlement of Ma’ale Adumim."

Uri Ariel, photo: Eliran Aharon
'The time for sovereignty is now'

Agriculture Minister says the time to extend sovereignty over Ma'ale Adumim is now, and not to wait for new US administration.
If Bennett and Ariel think that dividing up the Land we hold into small pieces to gradually make as part of sovereign Israel, they are very mistaken. Those who oppose our sovereignty will just get stronger and more opposed to it. It's like slowly pulling off a very sticky bandage. The longer you take to "gently" pull it off the more it hurts. If you pull fast and hard in one quick movement, the pain is over much more quickly.

Each time Israel annexes Land and declares sovereignty, our enemies will scream, yell, sanction, condemn, so we're much better off doing it once more over all the Land and forever.

Honestly, Blame Israeli Policy for UN Resolution

Here in Israel and for many of our supporters all over the world there's great anger and disappointment about the recent and rushed United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Israel for the "settlements" which includes all the Land liberated in the 1967 Six Days War INCLUDING JERUSALEM.

Most people when confronting something they aren't personally involved with see it all, understand it, in basic simplistic black and white. They just can't comprehend the nuances, especially the very strange ones that successive Israeli governments and Jewish groups all over the world see.

Wikipedia

First of all, let's make it clear that the 1967 Six Days War the State of Israel battled three armies and the Iraqi Air Force not only without any allies, but severely restricted in its arms purchases because of the anti-Israel policies of many countries. It was very clear to those of us old enough to understand what was happening, that the rest of the world really wouldn't have cared if we had been defeated and washed into the sea, which was predicted/threatened by Egypt's Nasser. And please don't forget that the United Nations fully cooperated with Nasser and removed its peacekeeping forces, which were supposed to prevent a war.

Thank the Good Lord that we had one ally, Gd Almighty, who took charge, and the State of Israel defeated its enemies and within six days was suddenly a large country with easily defensible natural borders.

Defensible Borders
West Point
Israel had been geographically and militarily vulnerable when the War for Independence ended in 1949. It was clear that at some point, pretty soon, our enemies would attack in order to wipe us off the map.

So, when the proverbial dust settled in June, 1967, after the war, any normal country would have immediately annexed and declared sovereignty over every single millimeter of the land liberated and make it clear to the aggressors and the world that we would be considering all that land ours and no different from Tel Aviv. But instead, every single government since then has made all sorts of incomprehensible distinctions between the areas we held. That's how Menachem Begin blithely gave the Sinai to Egypt and in the process unprecedentedly destroyed Jewish communities and agreed for it to be Judenrein.

Even though all Israeli Governments since the 1967 ceasefire insist that East Jerusalem, including the Kotel, Western Wall, the Golan Heights and a few other locations remain under Israeli control, the world in general does not understand, nor accept all of these distinctions. For them it's all or nothing, and that is why even countries that Israel naively considers as allies had no problem voting for that Security Council resolution.

All I can say is that it's never too late, and now's the time for a total change in Israeli policy. The only thing that can save us is our annexing and declaring full Israeli Sovereignty over what we still hold. And, yes, we will have to cease our support and recognition of the P.A. Palestinian Authority.

It must be done. We have no choice if we want to survive, and Gd will only step in to save us if we do it.

Now we are celebrating Chanukah, the perfect time to rid ourselves of the modern Greeks and Hellenists in our midst. We must fight like the Maccabees of Old! And, yes, Gd willing with the Help of Gd we will be victorious.

Blame Shimon Peres for the Ofra-Amona Problem and More

Right after Shimon Peres died, and Israelis of the Right -Pro Jewish Rights in All of the Land of Israel- were looking for nice things to say about him, they credited him with his help in establishing the very first yishuv, Jewish community, in the Shomron, north of Jerusalem. But the truth is that his pushing for the location that is now Ofra was actually a way to sabotage the community, as I explained in my post,  The Utter Irony of Shiloh for a Relocated Amona.

imemc.org

Peres pushed for a location that had a building. Either he ignored the possible ownership of the land in question or he, like many in the government, didn't take the settler movement, Gush Emunim, seriously as a potential power.

None of the politicians of any party, even the Right, had a clue that within a few decades there would be hundreds of thousands of Jews in Judea/Samaria. And if the government would solve the legal issues and give building permits, there would be more than double the number.

This should not be in the hands of the Supreme Court. Prime Minister Netanyahu is wrong in leaving those Leftist ideology-driven judges to make law. The Government and Knesset are supposed to make the laws, not the Judicial branch.

In the half a century since the 1967 Six Days War we periodically hear politicians talking about annexing the Land we liberated in that war for survival, like Naftali Bennett right now. All international legal precedent is that a country that wins a war, especially a war for its very existence and survival, automatically annexes whatever land it finds in its possession. That's the way of the world.

And, yes, of course, Peres was part of the ruling team that decided Israel should do the very opposite. He and his ilk had this totally fokokt idea that the Arabs would be willing to live in peace in exchange for those "territories." This was a mistake, the infant of his "New Middle East" fantasy, which made him the darling of those trying to find a politically correct way of destroying the State of Israel.

Now, we are stuck with horrendous politicians running the country. Gd willing, someone will get the wisdom and guts to fix this mess.

Time to Totally DELETE "Two State Solution" Policy!!

Everyone knows that there is absolutely no way that the "Two State Solution" will be peace and justice to the world or Middle East. Even though most Israeli politicians keep offering lip service to the idea, usually attaching all sorts of conditions, they know perfectly well that the unabashed aim of the Arabs who claim to be "Palestinians" sic is to destroy the State of Israel and make all the land judenrein a la the Nazis.

And there is no historical precedent for peace between such enemy states. It doesn't matter how benign and friendly Israel wants to be and tries to be. It doesn't matter how accommodating Israel is to its enemies. The enemies will not return in kind. All this kindness, chesed and mercy is only used against us, because the Arabs see us as weak and wishy-washy.

People like the American President Barack Hussein Obama are fixated with giving the Arabs another state. Obama worries more about the Arabs than the survival of the State of Israel. He neither likes nor trusts Prime Minister Netanyahu. Obama will do anything in his power to establish what he dreams of as "Palestine."

There is no reason we should obey Obama's dictates.

  • Israel will only be safe if it states that the "Two State Solution" is not on the table.
  • No more negotiations!!
  • Annex all of the Land of Israel which is in Israeli hands, meaning Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley!! (The Golan Heights was annexed by Israel decades ago.)
