Promoting "Palestine" is Like Holocaust Denial

Remembering the dead.

Here in Israel we continue to pay a very heavy price for our existance. Israel, the Ancient Biblical Homeland of the Jews, well documented in archeology and history, is attacked by terrorists, bullets, axes, words and international proclamations.
Is the promotion of a "Palestinian State" an innocent mistake?
No, not at all.

The name "Palestine" stuck for one big reason; as Tom Lehrer sang "everyone hates the Jews."

Thousands of years later, when Great Britain was mandated to facilitate the establishment of a Jewish State (see Balfour Declaration) in "Palestine," sic that name was still stuck on the map, even though a country of that name covering that area had never existed. There had always been a Jewish presence in the Holy Land, even after the destruction of the Second Temple and successive invaders ruled from afar. Britain took over from the Turks. The area they held covered both the east and western banks of the Jordan, all the way west until the Mediterranean Sea. According to the Mandate, all was supposed to be a Jewish State.

Great Britain was enamored with the local nomadic romanticized Arabs and preferred them to the Jews, both the religious ones in the holy cities and the Zionist pioneers working hard to make the Land fruitful.

As part of Britain's attempt to sabotage a Jewish State, it brought in and promoted the Hashemites as rulers over the eastern bank of the Jordan and eventually invented a new country of various tribes where there had never been one. That's called Jordan today.

Despite lackluster international support, at best, the State of Israel thrives. With the Help of Gd we have been victorious in all the wars against us.

On the whole, though, international media and academics refuse to recognize Jewish rights and history to the Land and have been inventing and supporting the lie of Palestine sic.

This actually predates the Holocaust and has continued to this very day. Yes, Tom Lehrer got it right.

Antisemitism In America, Why? Nu New?

I feel safest here in Israel
Antisemitism isn't new, not even in the USA. And it definitely predates Hitler in Germany.

Antisemitism has always been around. Go back five hundred 500 plus years to the Inquisition or a millennium 1,000 to the Crusades. And about a  thousand years before that, you have the background of the Chanukah story, you know that Jewish Holiday that just ended.

The American immigration quota system of 1924 was antisemitic among other forms of discrimination. The "euphemism:"
the purpose of the act was "to preserve the ideal of U.S. homogeneity."
In other words, the law was to preserve the traditional religious, ethnic population percentages as they stood in 1890. The descendants of the European invaders and occupiers of that large rich country, known today as The United States of America, wanted to preserve the racial and religious purity of their new country...

Don't forget that during World War Two, there was no military plan to destroy the Nazi death camps, And the American State Department had recommended to President Truman in November, 1947 to vote against an independent Jewish State in Judea, which had been renamed "Palestine" by Hadrian.

Truman may have defied the State Department in 1947, but today delegitimizing Israel in academia, media and diplomacy is the norm. Barack Hussein Obama's parting shot against Israel in the United Nations was unprecedented, not because of his anti-Israel policy, but because it's not accepted for "lame duck" presidents to take such a controversial action.

Since anti-Israel statements now come from Congress, the less erudite aren't afraid or embarrassed to use violence against Jews in America.

Come to your own conclusions. Those who agree, fine, and those who disagree... please think again. BDS, J-Street etc endanger ordinary Jews in the long run, more than they endanger Israel.

The Con, Hoax, Myth of "Palestine," sic

There isn't and never was a "Palestinian People." There is no historical basis for claims that they have rights. This part of the world, aka the Land of Israel has been invaded and occupied by many armies, but the only people that actually had an independent viable nation/kingdom here are Jews.

from exhibit in Israel Museum, 1-2016
It was Hadrian who could be credited with inventing "Palestine," sic, by changing the name of this part of the world on the maps from Judea to Palestine.

I highly suggest reading the excellent article, 5 Mendacious Myths of One False Narrative by Martin Sherman.
"The entire edifice of “Palestinian” national aspirations is a giant political hoax, a massive sleight of political hand designed to serve a more sinister ulterior motive. Five points explain what that is."

Who Invented "Palestine?" HADRIAN!

Hadrian, Israel Museum
One of the key points in Israel's hasbara, information campaign should always be that there never ever was a country or people called Palestine. It's an invention. We generally blame it on Europeans in rather recent history, but when I was at the Israel Museum last week and checked out their big exhibit on Hadrian, I got the answer in the short film about him.

It described Hadrian as a sort of renaissance man of contrasts and ironies. He wrote beautiful poetry and was also a warrior. He had a female wife as a proper emperor should, but he lived openly in the army with a male lover. Of course, how open could things have been in the world before photography, telephones and internet?

But the most important little tidbit I gleaned from that movie was that in his efforts to defeat the Jewish People and Nation, he changed the name of the Land from Judea to "Palestine," sic.

The invention was an ancient one, and the aim was the same as the more modern use of the word. It's a simple tool to deny Jewish History and Jewish rights to our Land. That is why the word "Palestine" appears on all sorts of maps over the ages, but when we go back in time, we can see that the only People that ruled that Land directly, not as invaders, conquerors etc was the Jewish People.

Hadrian, Israel Museum

Hadrian:
Hadrian (/ˈhdriən/LatinPublius Aelius Hadrianus Augustus;[note 1][2][note 2]24 January, 76 AD – 10 July, 138 AD) was Roman emperor from 117 to 138. Hadrian is known for building Hadrian's Wall, which marked the northern limit of Britannia. He also rebuilt the Pantheon and constructed the Temple of Venus and Roma... Wikipedia

There's davka another interesting and relevant exhibit in the Israel Museum that shows the Jewish/Biblical connection to the Land of Israel aka Judea, Navigating the Bible: Early Maps of the Holy Land from the Chinn Collection.

Even though the agenda of the mapmakers is Christian, not Jewish, there are the Jewish cities, like Shiloh and Beit El.  This map exhibit closes at the end of January, so if you want to see it, I suggest going now.
