The Con, Hoax, Myth of "Palestine," sic

There isn't and never was a "Palestinian People." There is no historical basis for claims that they have rights. This part of the world, aka the Land of Israel has been invaded and occupied by many armies, but the only people that actually had an independent viable nation/kingdom here are Jews.

from exhibit in Israel Museum, 1-2016
It was Hadrian who could be credited with inventing "Palestine," sic, by changing the name of this part of the world on the maps from Judea to Palestine.

I highly suggest reading the excellent article, 5 Mendacious Myths of One False Narrative by Martin Sherman.
"The entire edifice of “Palestinian” national aspirations is a giant political hoax, a massive sleight of political hand designed to serve a more sinister ulterior motive. Five points explain what that is."

YES, yes, yes. This is lie that has been, dressed-up, packaged and sole to the world. How good their PR is. Israel’s Government/Leaders are complicit in this travesty. Once and for all, It must be exposed as the empty claim it is in every country where Israel has a govt. representative.

Neshama, I think thereare reasons beyond the control of the Israeli government why Arab propaganda is so “successful”. While I would not say this accounts for all of the success of Arab lies, there is a widespread pre-disposition to accept the worst about Jews and their nefarious plots.

A note to SM: I think this site makes it too easy to hijack another person’s identity.

That is why the word "Palestine" appears on all sorts of maps over the ages, but when we go back in time, we can see that the only People that ruled that Land directly, not as invaders, conquerors etc was the Jewish People.

No exactly a biblical scholar here, but back in the day, wasn't there a bit of unpleasantness between Yahweh's chosen tribe and the inhabitants of the land of Canaan? Nasty little trick those folks played on the Hivites, no? Truly there is nothing new under the sun!

More seriously, and perhaps someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I think the only religion that came to dominate the Holy Land without the use of force was Christianity.

Liatris - you've got your facts all tied up in a knot - it's all wrong!
Firstly, the name 'palestinian' is the name the Romans gave for Israel/Judea because they wanted to erase the fact that Israel, the Jewish Homeland, was Jewish. Of course, the world accepted this lie of a name for the last 2000 years.
Secondly, they made up the name 'palestinian' taken from the name of the original invaders from over 3000 years ago who were the 'Philistines', a Greek Island people who invaded the Land of Israel, and gave much trouble to the natives of the Land (i.e, the Jews) and were the terrorists of that time.
Thirdly, When immigration of Jews started to come and BTW, there were always Jews in the Land of Israel from the beginning going back 4000 years (new imm. from the late 1700's & 1800's & on) to the Land of Israel when it was first under the control of the Turkish Empire and then taken over after WWI under the madate of the British, it was still called 'Palestine' and the JEWISH people were the only ones referred to as 'Palestinians' then. It was only after 1964 when the arch terrorist, Arafat, yimach shmo, was brought in by the leftists to come with his merry men (terrorists) into the Land of Israel and it was then they made up the story that they were the palestinians. Of course, this came about with the help of our enemies (most of the world) because they thought maybe now they can rid the Land of the 'Jews'.
The Jewish people are the natives of the Land of Israel, given to us by the G-D of Creation and no other people can say that about their respective countries.
Today's palestinians, as they call themselves, are Arabs who immigrated from the surrounding Arab countries and are just part of the Arab nation. In fact, Arafat, y'shmo, was an Egyptian.
These are the FACTS!

Anonymous Liatris Spicata, your knowledge of history and Bible are very faulty. Christianity was cruel to the Jews here in its attempt to conquer and occupy.

When the Jewish people returned to the Holyland after the exodus, quite a number of cities, including Shiloh, needed no battle.

Batya, I’d be interested in a considered refutation of my claim that Christianity came to dominate the Holy Land (and much of North Africa) by peaceful means. My impression is Christianity did not impose its religion until it gained temporal power in the fourth century CE. Kindly reference credible sources showing I am wrong.

Anonymous, what do you think I said that was wrong?

You have not addressed my comment in any way. Sheesh!

Liatris: Do you know any history? Did you ever hear of the Crusades, the Inquisition, the pogroms, etc., including holy Jewish book burnings, all done by the Xtians? The whole history of Europe is all about Jewish blood which they shed throughout the centuries, all in the name of your religion.
Whether xtian or moslem, they both hated the Jews with a vengeance and have the most bloody history wherever it was in the world, psrticularly against the Jewish people. Britain closed the doors to then 'palestine' for the Jews escaping nazi germany, yimach shmom v'zichrom. The U.S. closed its doors to the Jews fleeing that country and there is much more already written about and room for more. Suggest you visit a library.

The events which you cite all occurred well after Christianity became ascendant in the Holy Land as well as much of the Middle East and North Africa and are, therefore, utterly irrelevant to my claim that, “the only religion that came to dominate the Holy Land without the use of force was Christianity.”

You seem to have difficulty distinguishing between what is, and is not, germane to a discussion.

Liatris Spicata said...

Just to make it clear, in case it isn’t obvious to you, attaining ascendency, and maintaining it, are two different matters.
