GUEST POST: WHY 1967 BORDERS ARE SUICIDE

Why Israel’s 1967 Borders are Undefendable
(a guest post by Mr. Cohen) updated 2018/7/10

It has often been said, because it is true,
that Israel’s 1967 borders are undefendable.

My goal is to explain why that is true, in a simple way that
most people can easily understand; even non-military people.

The first reason why Israel’s 1967 borders are undefendable
can be summarized in one word: center.  Basic chess strategy
teaches that the four squares in the center of the board are of
great importance, even though all squares on the chess board
have the same size.  If you can control the four center squares,
then your chances of winning are increased. If Israel were reduced
to its 1967 borders, then Israel would be deprived of the center.

The second reason why Israel’s 1967 borders are undefendable
can be summarized in two words: high ground. You do not need
to be a military expert to understand that in battle, the side that
holds the high ground probably has a significant advantage over
the side that holds the lower ground. If Israel were reduced to
its 1967 borders, then Israel would be deprived of the high ground,
and forced to defend lower ground against higher ground.

The third reason why Israel’s 1967 borders are undefendable
can be summarized in three words: cut-in-half.  In war, skilled
generals will often attempt to gain an advantage over the enemy
army by dividing the enemy army into two camps that are
separated from each other. If Israel were reduced to its 1967 borders,
then Israel would be almost cut-in-half, even before any war began.

If you still do not understand the third reason, then please hear this:
If Israel were reduced to its 1967 borders, then it would be
8 miles wide at its narrowest point. From the southern tip of
Manhattan to 125th Street in Harlem is also approximately 8 miles.

The fourth reason why Israel’s 1967 borders are undefendable
can be summarized in one word: distance. If Israel were reduced
to its 1967 borders, then even less-inexpensive, less-sophisticated,
shorter-range missiles would be able to easily hit every place in Israel.

If Israel were reduced to its 1967 borders, then Israel’s enemies
could easily to dig terrorist tunnels able to reach any place in Israel.
Long terrorist tunnels would no longer be necessary,
because even short terrorist tunnels could reach Israel.

If Israel were reduced to its 1967 borders, then it’s attackers would
possess big advantages, before any war even began: the advantage
of holding the center, plus the advantage of holding the high ground,
plus the advantage of Israel almost being cut-in-half, plus the
advantage of hitting Israel from nearby; all before any war even began.
And you do not need to be a military expert to understand the reasons.

These would be extreme problems for the defense of Israel,
even if Israel were defending against equal numbers.
But Israel’s defense is not against equal numbers;
it is against Arabs who outnumber Israel by more
than 300-to-1 and against Muslims who outnumber
Israel by more than 1,000-to-1.

In conclusion, reducing Israel to its 1967 borders
would make Israel undefendable.

Last but not least, since the so-called “Two State Solution”
would reduce Israel to undefendable borders, it should
be known as “the Final Solution” – the phrase used by
Nazi Germany to describe the violent elimination of all Jews.

“I cannot defend this land [Israel] without
that terrain [the West Bank]...

Without the West Bank, Israel is only 8 miles wide
at its narrowest point. That makes it indefensible.”

QUESTION: Wasn’t Israel able to defend the 1967 borders in 1967?

ANSWER:

Babylonian Talmud, tractate Megillah, page 7B:
Rabbi Zeira taught: “Miracles do not happen every time.”

Babylonian Talmud, tractate Pesachim, page 64B:
“It is forbidden to rely on miracles.”

UNFAIR DOUBLE STANDARD:

Have you ever noticed that:
people who want a Jew-free Palestine are called peace-lovers;
but people who want an Arab-free Israel are called racists?

All this means is that the Iranian proxy FATAH will be in control of half of our land. Shame on our leaders to even fathom this insane move. FATAH/IRAN needs to be expelled from our Land. This would the greatest humanitarian move for the Arabs and bring peace to Israel.

The obvious question then arises, then how were they defended in 1967??

What is different now?

Does it depend on the adversary?

Was it a miracle?
