Make a deal or else! And Kerry went off by bike, oops! fell off his bicycle during a break in the negotiations and somehow seems to have found a formula with a bit of everything that everyone wanted.
Sorry, but I don't think there's much to celebrate, because of two things:
- I don't trust the Iranians. It's a very large country and even with inspections it's easy to hide what they want to hide.
- This problem has been going on for three decades, 30 years, and I honestly think it's too late.
The simple fact that Iran is willing to sign some sort of agreement means that they really want something from the western/developed countries that they won't get otherwise.
The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the U.N. access would be based on consultations between the six powers and Iran under the draft deal, which would impose limits on the Iranian nuclear program in return for economic sanctions relief. Reuters (emphasis mine)
Please read carefully; "limits" does not mean the same as the cessation of the Iranian nuclear program. The bottom line is that there is absolutely nothing to celebrate. Iran will continue developing nuclear weapons in their attempt to destroy the world as we know it, Gd forbid.
