The Freedom to Build

There's a building boom in many YESHA communities.  All the Bibi-Obama threats have just made it all more urgent, and many families and contractors-who have anxiously waiting customers-are trying to make up for lost time.  The ten month freeze was awful, antidemocratic, anti-civil rights.  The Arabs never stopped building.  Only Jewish Israeli citizens go through the bureaucratic maze getting permits etc.

Here are some beautiful sights to see!

I disagree with using the term "anti-democratic". Technically, a government can perform the most evil of actions according to the democratic rules allowed them by law.

However, that doesn't make such a democracy any less tyrannical.

Tyranny against its own Jews is what the government of Israel has employed for years now.

Shalom!
Being as the Torah isn't democratic, using the term has very limited value..

I agree with Hadassa. I should have made that point. What I meant to say was that even in a non-religious society (or a society where democracy is the "religion") which advocates democratic principles, democracy can still wind up as a tool of abuse.
