If The U.S. Is "...maintaining Israel's qualitative edge" Are We Like A Kept Woman?

I don't feel reassured by the statement:
P.J. Crowley says US is "committed to maintaining Israel's qualitative edge in region..."  (complete article) (emphasis mine)

I feel insulted.  What is the United States, some manipulating "sugar daddy?"

And what is this "qualitative edge?"  Is it that some American Defense and State Department bureaucrats get the right to decide just how many weapons Israel and our Arab enemies get to have what  they consider a "fair" or "safe for whom" fight, which in the end will preserve what American politicians and civil servants consider the proper status quo?

Again, I repeat:
I don't like this! I can't accept it!

It's dangerous for the continued security and existence for the State of Israel.  The entire idea that a foreign country can control our defense/military capabilities is outrageous!  I'd say it's immoral for the Israeli Government to accept such a thing.   And in all honesty, I'd say that this relinquishing of the foundation of independence is treasonous.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

the us has a right to demand what it wants. that israel accept those demands makes sense, since it needs us weaponry. why is this such a problem?s

We Jews must trust in Hashem and do the right thing or no "qualitative edge" achieved through misguided means will help us. Does anyone really still have any question about the so called "land for 'peace'" debacle?

Shalom!
All the "aid" that America gives to Israel wouldn't pay for the military intelligence that America receives from Israel, which is worth five times what the CIA provides according to an official source in the American government. (I'll look for a link. It's not a secret.) The "aid" isn't even given, it's loaned and Israel has to buy American goods, mainly, but not only, weapons, with it. So for the price of apron strings that strangle, Israel deprives Jewish businesses of valuable income. Keep your money anonymous #1 and let Israel develop more of her own weapons. Israel doesn't need and shouldn't want American funds. Funds aren't aid, in case you missed the point.

Here it is:
“General George Keegan, former head of U.S. Air Force Intelligence has publicly declared that “Israel is worth five CIA’s.” He further stated that between 1974 and 1990, Israel received $18.3 billion in U.S. military grants. During the same period Israel provided the U.S. with $50-80 billion in intelligence, research and development savings, and Soviet weapons systems captured and transferred to the U.S.

In my humble opinion America should not give any aid to Israel. As long as Israel takes the money, she will be looking over her shoulder for approval of her decisions. Moreover, how is it we call an entity that funds, arms and militarily trains our enemy , our "friend." As someone said, in international affairs there are no friends, only interests.
