The Only American Guarantee I Would Accept!

Let them "put their money where their mouth is" as the saying goes.

By the way where is Kerry right now?

I would love to see the American Government place American families of American Consulate and Embassy staff in ordinary, non-fortified apartments in Ashkelon, Netivot, Sederot etc and then tell us how easy it is to trust Hamas and negotiate for peace.

A home in Ashkelon was severely damaged by a rocket fired from Gaza.

That's it. We all know that those Hamas rockets from Gaza would seem a lot more dangerous if they were aimed at official Americans, not just the expats  and ordinary Israelis who do live there, in the "affected areas." The American Government should send the staff from Hertzliya to vacation on the pastoral border kibbutzim which have the tunnel exits for some R&R. They should be joined by the families of the heads of the NGO's which support "Palestinian rights" and "humanitarian needs."

No doubt they wouldn't agree to come, because...

.... you can't trust the Hamas's word when it comes to peace.

The Americans have one rule for themselves when it comes to Al Qaeda and preach another rule to Israel when it comes to Hamas. I expect the double standards from them.

Its Israel's fault that it doesn't treat Hamas like the Americans treat Al Qaeda. Instead of moving for the kill, Israel's leaders feel compelled to show the world how nice the Jews are to their deadliest enemy.

If Israel ran World II, the bitter truth is the Nazis would still be in power. Pulling your punches short doesn't endear the enemy to you; it only incurs his contempt.

And only Israel's leaders would treat 40 dead soldiers as disposable cannon fodder in their game with Hamas. War isn't a video game where you can hit the pause button.

If the fools in Jerusalem keep on going the way they're going, more Jewish lives will be lost and they still have not managed to lift the Hamas threat hanging over Israel. How can they be seriously expected to deal with Iran?

Israel needs more so-called humanitarian ceasefires like it needs cancer. You don't treat cancer with a band-aid; you eradicate it. That is what Israel should be doing but isn't with Hamas.

AMEN! Exactly!!!!
This post is my sort of "sarcasm" to get reactions like yours. The blatant hypocrisy of the United States, Europe etc make me sick.
Norman, thanks for taking the time to comment.
