I didn't see any mention of *E.R. Itamar Ben-Gvir and Baruch Marzel and the criminal complaint they filed at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court that Pope Benedict XVI return looted Temple treasures.

Where does it say this being is a god? Nowhere. It is an angel of Hashem ("Sahr Tz'vah Hashem"). As Rashi points out in 5:15, this would be the Mal'ach Micha'el.
