Re:Bibi, I Told You So!
Granted that I haven't trusted the Likud, and its forerunners (Herut, GaHaL) since Menachem Begin signed the Camp David Accords to give Egypt's Sadaat the Sinai over thirty years ago. But ever since I heard Bibi speak to us Jbloggers at the very first International Jewish Bloggers Convention almost a year and a half ago, I had no doubt that he'd be worse than Labor/Kadima in power.
Why worse? Simply because he doesn't have the great orator Binyamin Netanyahu in the opposition to point out the faults in those dangerous Left wing policies.
Of course the Arabs aren't happy, because they want us dead and gone, not restricted. This new policy certainly won't bring us peace, just more terrorism and war and international pressure.
Having lived through most of Israel's history up close, there's no doubt in my mind that the Likud and its forerunners have been the worst governments for our security and strenghthening our hold on our Historic HomeLand. Having Binyamin Netanyahu as Prime Minister hasn't improved things one iota.

i think you grossly exaggerate. barak? rabin?
Not in the least. Only the Likud destroys Jewish communities. No politicians have done worse than the Likud for Jewish Life in the Land of Israel. That's why I don't vote Likud.
OT but---Bibi spoke at the J Bloggers convention? Wow. You J Bloggers in Israel have a lot of power; probably way more than you realize.
Yes, he understands that there are people all over the world reading our blogs.
Looking back at Bibi's entrance into that first Blogger's convention, I think it isn't any surprise the direction he is taking. Too many people voted for the myth, vs the man. I tried to convince my cousins that voting Likud was a joke. Their response was, well at least it is better than Kadima. They live in Maale Adummim, so they now may be seeing how it really wasn't.
Thanks for confirming it. We were there together and understood his words the same.
It appears that like the U.S. you are face with the choice of voting for the "lesser of two evils" or getting "the evil of two lessors"
I'm sorry to strongly disagree. There is nothing in common betweeen the US and Israel. The US may suffer a minor snaffoo, but Israel's very existence is in danger.
