What I am about to say might be completely wrong, but I suspect that on
the Great Day of Judgment [Yom HaDin], the Heavenly Court will show that
Jews spent hundreds of millions of dollars each year on kosher cruises
and eating in very expensive kosher restaurants (with those in
Manhattan being the most expensive of all.)
Next, Heavenly Court will ask Jews why yeshivot were constantly
in debt, and why kiruv rechokim was ridiculously underfunded in
comparison to the super-massive need, and why pro-Israel activist organizations were
also underfunded in comparison to their needs.
What I am about to say might be completely wrong, but I suspect that on
the Great Day of Judgment, the Heavenly Court will ask Jews why they spent many
hundreds of millions of dollars more-than-necessary on engagement parties, vort
ceremonies, and super-expensive weddings; millions of dollars that would
have been more-wisely-spent on helping Jews in various ways.
What I am about to say might be completely wrong, but I suspect that on
the Great Day of Judgment, the Heavenly Court will ask Jews why they spent millions
of dollars on deadly cigarettes and strong liquor and unnecessary newspapers;
millions of dollars that would have been better-spent on helping poor Jews in many
ways.

I disagree with the negative outlook of this post on Kosher Restaurants.
Kosher meat is expensive, plus there is the cost of the Mashgiach and of the property rental in expensive cities such as New York and London.
Would you prefer people ate treif?
Not everyone is in the restaurants stuffing their faces, people do go in to have a sensible lunch etc.
Not everyone can make food at home.
Sometimes people will use business meals to help along a deal.
It is also nice to go to a restaurant to celebrate a Simcha, or when a couple is courting.
and how does the author know that the very same people in those resturants have not given to Tzedakkah or to a Gemiltuh Chesed fund or taken on employees they do not need merely to provide a Yid with an income?
