In Israel Anti-Arab from The Left

There's a great misunderstanding about what the Israeli Left thinks of Arabs. You'd think that their activities for Jewish-Arab understanding, sic etc would include things like Arabs and Jews working and shopping together, like the now-closed SodaStream factory in Mishor Adumim or the Rami Levy/Yafiz stores in Sha'ar Binyamin. In my very simple, daughter of CPA, mindset, there's nothing more equal and tolerant than how Jews and Arabs cooperate in Judea/Samaria/Jordan Valley. It's natural, non-elitist and pragmatic, unlike the well-funded NIF, EU and UN NGOs.

I've always been rather dumbfounded by the Left's demand that Israel abandon Judea/Samaria/Jordan Valley, because "too many Arabs live there," and they want to keep Israel Jewish. Now, isn't that racist/biased ANTI-ARAB? It's a very simple example of throwing out the baby with the bathwater; isn't it?

Don’t Throw the Baby Out with the Bathwater

This idiom stresses to be careful what you throw away and to not throw away something valuable or important along with things unimportant. The birth of this idiom can be traced back to 1512 where a German artist created a woodcut showing a woman actually pouring a baby out with its bath water.
It's so strange that those who claim to respect Arabs really want them far away behind barriers.
An Israeli leader wants to put Jerusalem’s Arabs on the other side of new walls
Saying he wants to save Jewish lives, the leader of the Israeli opposition is proposing to divide Jerusalem with more high walls and checkpoints, effectively banishing 200,000 Palestinian residents from the city.
The proposal by Isaac Herzog, formally adopted last month by the Labor Party, imagines building miles of new concrete barriers and smart fences to separate 28 Palestinian neighborhoods in East Jerusalem from Jewish neighborhoods and Jewish settlements in the city... (Washington Post)
Herzog's ideas are neither workable nor moral especially according to his ideology. And Herzog isn't the only Leftist to admit that there's support of terror in Arab society:
MK Galon in rare attack on Arab MKs

Meretz head says Arab MKs’ support for Hezbollah is ‘a moral low point,’ causing some to declare a ‘flying pig’ moment.
The only positive thing that this plan shows is that the Left finally recognizes that many Arabs are terrorists and support terrorism. But I don't see how locking them up in a pressure-cooker will make us safer.

  • As long as Arab schools follow pro-terrorist/anti-Israel curriculums Arabs will learn to accept and encourage terror against us.
  • And even if there are barriers, a certain percentage of Arabs will be allowed to work and study in "Jewish areas," so that terrorists and potential terrorists will not be kept away. Remember that a large percentage of the terrorists work in Jewish businesses and "suddenly" attacked.
Ending Arab terror will take quite a while. It's not simple, and the Israeli Left is going in the wrong direction.

Seems to me that in your words a message from Shamayim has come to us: We, as Jews, must consciously choose ourselves and our nation every day (and last but not least, need it be said that we must choose our G-d?), every waking moment. Many choices, considering others but not ourselves, brought us to the low place we are in now.

Insights and promises from our leadership won't work without the follow-through. And who, on either side, has that?

For many of us it has alwsys been obvious that the Left are the ones who hate the Arabs and want them far away.

Have always known that, particularly, the leftist elites in Israel abhor the Arabs and want them far from them, but they have an agenda which is more important to them, the undoing of the 'Jewishness' of Israel and that overrides the former. They use them for that reason. Thought that most good Jews understand that.

Expecting logical thoughts from Liberals or Leftists is like expecting a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit at the South Pole.

Even those Liberals who have high IQs cannot arrive at correct conclusions because they view the situation in a way which is detached from reality. They view the situation according to their Liberal theories, not according to actual facts-on-the-ground.

Several months ago, an Israeli professor at New York University concluded that “the occupation must end”. His conclusion was based on four different philosophers who lived centuries ago in Europe. Recent history and actual facts-on-the-ground were NOT factors in his calculations. The teachings of the Koran and Islam were also NOT factors in his calculations.
