Your Sderot idea was interested. I was waiting to see if anyone else would comment. No such luck, huh?
My son needed an Israel-related news item for his Ivrit class, so I helped him find an article about Monopoly and Jerusalem. I don't think he got it. Then again, I'm not sure I get it...is putting a lot of energy into influencing Hasbro's board meaningful? Or is it just a sign that we feel like we have to something to support Jerusalem? (or Sderot)
leora, thanks I also posted it on my A7 blog, http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/6
It's important to not that Jerusalem and Sderot are not in competition. Jerusalem is already nominated and competing, while Sderot is in the first round as a "wildcard." If it makes it to the next round, it has a chance.
I think it's important for the world to know that an innocent Israeli city is being bombed by the "teflon terrorists," aka the Pseudistinians, also aka the Phakistininians.
I have nominated Sderot. As for Jerusalem, I voted for Jerusalem, but it is not listed there as being in Israel (US Consulate style), and the blurb on it mentions Jews, Christians and Muslims. A Jerusalem Arab could vote for that Just as well, or a Quaker foreign aid worker. Maybe we should stick with Sderot?
Jerusalem is our Capital City, so it deserves a vote regardless of the blurb, and you can vote everyday. Sderot needs our votes; it's not in the top 20. It needs the publicity. Again, you can vote once a day.

Very true. Anyway, I nominated Sderot just now.
Great!
It's important to promote the idea.
I didn't see Sderot as a choice anywhere...
It's a wild card, and you start typing in sde, and it completes it and then follow the instructions.
