Pilgrims' Progress and Feast in the Holy Land

Posted by Jewish Israel

While we Jews were celebrating in our sukkahs, a very different spirit of worship descended upon the Jerusalem Convention Center (“Binyanei Ha’Uma”) - compliments of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) and their annual Feast of the Tabernacles.

There are active missionaries at ICEJ's Feast of the Tabernacles and there are those in attendance who openly engage in missionary activity which targets the Jewish people for conversion.

Does the Feast lend credence to and empower the evangelizing network in Israel?

In this post-holiday wrap-up, Jewish Israel connects the dots in an alarming tour which follows a missionary trail – in and out of Africa, to the Ukraine, to Jerusalem and Revava – which can no longer be ignored...more

Hi Ellen.

This has to be one of Jewish Israel's most comprehensive and in my mind disturbing reports. Especially regarding the Nigerians going to Israel and just deciding to stay there illegally. The government definitely needs to get a handle on this.

OT sort of but I often wonder how Holocaust survivors and other Jews who have faced violent persecution feel they see these missionaries in masses in the only safe haven for Jews--Israel.

I can't even imagine.

Keli Ata,
Glad you appreciate the efforts on this report. The entire staff at Jewish Israel found the work on this to be "mind disturbing".

I'm not sure how Holocaust survivors and the afflicated in Israeli society react to missionaries who focus much of their efforts on the more vulnerable sectors of society. Can a person in physical and emotional pain be aware that there are those who under the guise of doing "good works" are actually preying on their soul?

Are those Israelis who turn a blind eye to missionary activity and the missionary network in Israel aware of the spiritual damage being inflicted upon their people and their faith?
