58 Years

Yes, the State of Israel is celebrating 58 years since its declaration of independence. I'm an English Teacher, so my lack of capital letters in "declaration of independence" is on purpose. My complaints about that concern humans, not G-d.

That's why I was at the festive prayer service here in Shiloh last night, during which we sang a very enthusiastic "Hallel," Praise to G-d. And yes, we preceded it with the appropriate blessing.

There's another prayer, not in many siddurim (prayer books), which should be added, so I'd like to thank Ya'aqov Ben Yehuda for sending it to me.
