Give Trump a Chance, The democratic Way

It isn't a typo. I purposely wrote "democratic" in the title with a lowercase "d." There's a reason. With an uppercase "d" it would be the name of the political party that lost the American Presidential Election. But the meaning of the word in lowercase is:
According to political scientist Larry Diamond, democracy consists of four key elements: (a) A political system for choosing and replacing the government through free and fair elections; (b) The active participation of the people, as citizens, in politics and civic life; (c) Protection of the human rights of all citizens, and (d) A rule of law, in which the laws and procedures apply equally to all citizens.[3] Wikipedia
And that should be taken very seriously by Americans. According to American Law, Donald Trump won the Presidency. People can be disappointed, but to protest the results the way we've been seeing is anti-government, anti-rule of law and anti-democratic.

Yes, I agree that we should give Trump a chance. I happen to agree with many of his policies. But that chance does not start from tomorrow. That chance started from election night. I would hope from a president-elect to:
-try to unify the country
-have people chosen in advance of the election for key positions, people who do not have serious police/ conflict of interest concerns
-have people set to take over the positions of Obama people who he is firing
- be ready to receive the extensive transition

But
1) So far he has yet to nominate confirm-able candidates for key positions(and the things that are sinking these people would sink a nominee in any administration, this is not about Democrats "getting even")
2) He is filling his staff with millionaires (I thought he campaigned on "draining the swamp"?!?).

3)90% of the national security department positions are empty

4).His staff did not have security clearance and could not get full briefings.

5)He himself got a minimum of briefings

Batya, this man ran for PRESIDENT. It is not a reality show. He needs to stop tweeting against civil-rights activists and get ready to lead the country. As much as he feels that he is capable, the man does not have the experience or knowledge to lead the country without informed, knowledgeable staff. And as of now he has yet to fill many of those key positions. Unfortunately his self-worship has led him to believe that he is capable of a job without preparing for it competently. He has done too little, too late.

Compared to the riots and rhetoric from the Left the Democrats he is more than fine. Not easy.

This Rickismom is a secret 'democrat'. Would she have wanted the alternative, chas v'sholom? Doesn't really matter, because nothing is as it appears. Read Tomer Devorah's latest post; it's just a hint of what really is.

Let's just hope and pray that people calm down.
