Wanted: A True Fearless Leader for the State of Israel!

I'm sick and tired of politicians. They aren't leaders. I think that's one of the attractions that Donald Trump has for American Republicans. They are also totally fed up with the standard politician whose policies and promises are as stable and permanent as an Etch A Sketch drawing.

In the free world, which includes Israel, many voters/citizens are beginning to see the light, the truth, that our politicians aren't leading. They are just following polls and what they and their advisors think and spout what they think we want to hear. That's why once the politician is elected to office, you so rarely see their promises and platforms take on life.

It's inevitable that once in office, politicians promote policies so different from their campaign promises. It's just like how a tiny shake of the Etch A Sketch erases the image, as you can see at the end of the video above.

Here in Israel, we're facing life and death dangers. We are not a large, rich in natural resources and protected by natural boundaries country like the United States. We can't take "risks for peace" or anything like we're being urged. The State of Israel is not only surrounded by military and ideological enemies on three sides, but we have a strongly supported terrorist enemy within our borders. We also lack not only natural resources but allies.

What we have to protect us is Gd Almighty and the Jewish People all over the world. There's just a problem that many Jews do not fully understand our situation. We need to have full faith and trust in Gd, not the USA, the UN, the EU et. al. We need policies that are good for us and not for our enemies. We need leaders to lead our government who aren't checking back for approval from others. The only approval we need is Gd's. That's how we won the 1967 Six Days War so quickly. We fought and we prayed. No country helped, and we won, because our victories only come with Gd's assistance. Since 1967 military experts from all over the world have tried to figure out how Israel won that war, and they find no logical reason for our victory. Gd overrides logic, nature and math!

We must not fear, as long as we follow Gd. That is one of the lessons of the Purim story in Megillat (Scroll of) Esther. The date of the battle Haman planned against the Jewish People was chosen by lottery, and Gd controls such results. And that is why we won.

Chag Purim Sameach
May We Have a Joyous Purim and
May We Celebrate with True Jewish Faith and Leadership!

That's true if Israel was self reliant but unfortunately it's not. So it's leaders chose e.g. not to pursue own fighter jets etc.

We would be more self-reliant if we still had the Sinai and hadn't forced the Jewish people out of there back in the 1970s.

We would be more self-reliant if we declared that all of Judea and Samaria were ours too. But even with that, we don't have enough land to raise enough cattle to meet our beef consumption needs. That comes from Argentina at this time. Thank G-d, we have sheep and goats for both milk and meat.

G-d gave us a beautiful, good and spacious land (eretz hemdah, tovah urehavah) - enough to grow a large population of Jews - but we just haven't accepted it all. Only our faithfulness to His word would force the nations around here (not to mention all over the world) to accept that we belong here. And then we could be self-reliant.

a, we must become self-reliant and not beholden to or dependant on any other country.

CDG, so true.

The Lavi fighter was a beauty, so was the IAF guide who showed it to us.

Careful Batya ...... you might become a threat to the establishment grasshopper Jews in Jerusalem who only know one thing - How to bow to and serve (ALWAYS PLEASE) their gods in Washington.

Seriously, have you thought of running for office and shaking the corpse up and back to life again ?

I miss Golda!

Do you really think those government agents read my blog?

Marcel, not easy when you get billions from them. But several years ago I recall Bibi publicly saying on air how he wants to be rid of above billions in short time. At the time I thought it was a stupid statement even if he meant it. Israel back then was considerably less independent. Now I read how Bibi's asking for more billions and is holding out until he gets same from the U.S. A diplomat he's not.

Everything that was said in this article was also said in articles and letters-to-the-editor that appeared in Jewish newspapers in the early 1980s.

I think if we knew, we would be surprised who reads your blog !

It's easy to get hooked on that $ and its turned Israel into an obedient land of serfs.

Who will Israel go to when the money dries up ? ...and it will dry up.

Is Israel preparing for that day ?

Batya said...

nach, we don't get money from the USA; we get shopping coupons to beef up their economy at the expense of the Israeli one.
Marcel, yes, that's another reason the aid is bad.

Self inflicted suicide look to be a popular pursuit among many fools today.

Who will they blame when they are killed by those they helped ? No one but themselves.

The Snake

On her way to work one morning, down the path along side the lake.
A tender-hearted woman saw a poor, half-frozen snake.
His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew.
"Oh well," she cried, "I'll take you in and I'll take care of you."
"Take me in, oh tender woman.
Take me in, for heaven's sake.
Take me in, oh tender woman," sighed the vicious snake.

She wrapped him all cozy in a curvature of silk.
And then laid him by her fireside with some honey and some milk.
Now she hurried home from work that night and soon as she arrived,
She found that pretty snake she'd taken in and revived.
"Take me in, oh tender woman.
Take me in, for heaven's sake.
Take me in, oh tender woman," sighed the vicious snake.

Now she clutched him to her bosom.
"You're so beautiful," she cried.
"But if I hadn't brought you in by now you would have died."
She stroked his pretty skin again and then she kissed and held him tight.
Instead of saying, "thank you," that snake gave her a vicious bite.
