Disasters, Natural and Man-Made

Nobody asks the Japanese if they're leaving their country permanently because of the dangers there, the natural dangers.  I was facinated by an article in the New York Times by a Japanese novelist writing his first-person report of the earthquake. It's definitely a perspective we don't usually hear.  It doesn't read like the TV news reports on BBC or CNN.

Communities like my Village of Shiloh and Itamar, where the latest Arab terror attack, the barbaric murder of five members of the same family, took place are always asked how we can stay here.  Our dangers are man-made.  Arab terrorists and Israeli politicians conspire to keep us on our toes.

In a few months we'll be celebrating thirty years in Shiloh, and from the earliest days here, we've entertained journalists and answered the same questions.  They keep expecting us to be forcibly removed to make room for a new Arab terror state, Pseudostine aka Palestine sic.

As we go on living peacefully, mourning our dead, healing our wounds, the world calls us "obstacles of peace."  They want us to cooperate, go like sheeps to slaughter, like the Jews did in Germany and later other countries in Europe when German Nazis ruled.

We've learned our lesson.  We're not moving.  We're not cooperating with our destruction.

Let the baby Yair, of Itamar, and his family bring light to the world.

Soon we celebrate Purim, the holiday that celebrates our power to reverse evil decrees.

Chag Purim Sameach!
Have a Joyous Purim!

Forgive me but who is baby Yair?

Are you referring to one of the Fogel children? I'm pretty sure they didn't have a child named Yair.

Yoav (11), Elad (4) and Hadas (4 months).
