The Pigu'a and The Parsha

I'm just curious.

Unless I slept through it, the rabbi of the Young Israel of Scarsdale didn't connect this week's Arab terror attack (pigu'a) in Jerusalem to the Torah Portion of the Week (parsha.)

I'm just curious, yes I am.

Did any of you hear a drasha which did connect the two? What was it?

And if you didn't or did if it were up to you to write or give one, what would you say?

My rabbi explained that chukat haTorah, the parah aduma, is completely beyond our comprehension. Also beyond our comprehension is the behaviour and heroism of the soldier who shot the terrorist. I don't remember exactly what he said ;) but the entire dvar Torah was related to the attack.

At Seuda Shlisheet the at the YI of Scarsdale, a man spoke in memory of his mother's first cousin who was killed in the terrorist bulldozer attack. There were about 50 people there. During the Shacharit service drasha, I don't think he did mention it. In America, sermons are prepared and not much is given to alteration, I presume.
