ANALYSIS: UN saga shows sands shifting
Ties between the two countries were strained as a result of what Sisi viewed as Obama’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood, and because of Washington’s criticism of Sisi’s human rights record. With Trump, Sisi sees the possibility of turning a new page with Washington, and it is clear that following Trump’s statement on the UN resolution on Thursday – and likely messages he received from the Trump team – he realized this would not be the best way to begin afresh. The chances are that Egypt stopped the anti-settlement motion in the United Nations in its tracks in order to curry favor with Trump.
Trump Weighs In on Israeli Settlements While White House Stays MumThe days of Obama are waning, which is something not only Israelis like myself are happy about. We will no doubt see more Arab leaders acting relieved to have someone who isn't a Radical Leftist in the White House. They hope for more support and stability from Donald Trump.
Let us see what the future brings, and Gd willing it will be good for the world.

RE: THE UN RESOLUTION
Pro-Israel politicians are condemning: The UN, Obama, Kerry, and the sponsors of the UN Resolution against the settlements.....
What nobody says is that it is Israeli politicians themselves who have allowed Israel's situation to deteriorate to this point.
Look back at how the world loved plucky Israel in 1967.
What followed was a series of ISRAELI GOVERNMENT BETRAYALS (to use a polite term).
Israel gave up Temple Mount, the Sinai (now in the hands of ISIS and other terror groups), and Gaza (another terror hub), signed the fateful Oslo Accords, and escalated its policy of appeasement.
I have the feeling that once TRUMP is in office, the Israeli government will quietly tell him to delay and then postpone indefinitely the embassy move to Jerusalem because of "local politics".
Trump is NOT good news for fake-Zionist politicians because he will UNMASK their true agenda, which is one aimed at another partition of Israel and the loss of the Jewish heartland.
Now politicians will keep repeating that anti-Israel UN Resolutions are not good for peace...
BUT WHY HAVEN'T SUCCESSIVE ISRAELI GOVERNMENTS EVER STATED PUBLICLY AND OFFICIALLY THE LEGAL RIGHT OF ISRAEL TO JUDEA AND SAMARIA? The documents exist, and they are backed by history and by legal principles.
True, thanks, and apparently the resolution was re-submitted by a host of anti-Israel countries, and Obama abstained. Thank Gd Hillary lost.

We don't listen, we have to take our destiny into our hands and stop relying on the Nations. We must annex the land and not worry about the world. Unless we don't think that God is with us.
amen

Egypt didn't stop it, because Egypt didn't start it. Netanyahu, I don't know how, thought Egypt was behind it, and if Egypt withdrew its sponsorship, it would be dead,
And now he thinks it was the idea of the United States, and the Obama Administration says not true at all.
Somebody somewhere is not telling the truth. It's probably an Arab country, telling Israel one thing, and telling the United States another, under condition of secrecy.
The United States was being told this was necessary and it was wrtten in such a way s as not to draw a U.S. veto.
Now it seems that Egypt conned Israel and worked with the USA.
