Americans, Please Put Down Your Swords and Make Peace

I'm sure that I'm not the only person in the world who has been horrified by the behavior of the American public, American citizens who have been condemning the results of the recent Presidential Elections, not with the usual benign disappointment, but with riots, lawsuits and more.

I don't know how Basic Democracy and Democratic Principles are taught nowadays, but way back when in the middle of the previous century we were taught that you had to accept your loss with dignity. Here in Shiloh, I've been on the Election Committee for almost every local election for thirty years or so, and it has happened many more times than once, that after the votes were counted, I'd discover that none of the candidates I had voted for had been elected. And sometimes I really don't like the results at all. That's life. I've always taken pride in how fairly and legally I've run elections, and that's why now two generations of Shilohnians like seeing me in charge.

Now, after at least two years or more of campaigning and mudslinging and worse, the 2016 American Presidential Elections are finally over. Yesterday was the voting of the Electoral College. And they voted, as is the law/custom according to the state voting results, for Donald Trump.

Republican Donald Trump prevailed in U.S. Electoral College voting on Monday to officially win election as the next president, easily dashing a long-shot push by a small movement of detractors to try to block him from gaining the White House.
Trump, who is set to take office on Jan. 20, garnered more than the 270 electoral votes required to win, even as at least half a dozen U.S. electors broke with tradition to vote against their own state’s directives, the largest number of “faithless electors” seen in more than a century.
The Electoral College vote is normally a formality but took on extra prominence this year after a group of Democratic activists sought to persuade Republicans to cross lines and vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. She won the nationwide popular vote even as she failed to win enough state-by-state votes in the acrimonious Nov. 8 election. (Reuters)
It's time for all Americans to accept the results. That's what true democracy is all about. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose, and sometimes it really hurts.

Whatever the Trump presidency turns out to be, it will be far better than that Merkel-wannabe, Hillary Clinton.

Today's terror attack in Berlin brought to mind Germany's decades of moral and financial support for the "good terrorists" - those who kill Jews.

I just finished reading Tuvia Tenenbom's book CATCH THE JEW, and in spite of his humor it is gut wrenching how he describes the army of hundreds of Jew-hating and Arab-loving Germans in Israel waging a propaganda war against the country, while the German government itself funds terror under the guise of 'humanitarian work'. Germans did not want Jews in Europe, then they did not want them in Israel either.

(The fact that the Israeli government tolerates this is a separate subject for discussion. Putin managed to expel meddlesome NGOs, but Israeli politicians allow them run loose. Hmmm... I wonder why is that...)

THE IRONY IS that it is Germans now that are losing their country to Muslim invaders and living in a state of fear as Merkel's Muslims rape, terrorize, and murder an unprepared population.

The only reason why I lament the inevitable fall of Europe to Islam is that it will just make Muslims so much more powerful in this genocidal world.

America has changed a lot. Generations of far-left teachers have resulted in brainwashed, politically illiterate voters. Propaganda in place of real education destroys a society. Hopefully, Trump will be able to reform education so we get back to our old values of making peace after an election.

Sounds awful. Can't teach old dogs new tricks. Two Americas for sure.

We have not recently had a president elect that was so clearly corrupt, dishonest, and unable to function, which is why so many people are up in arms. For instance, he's not setting up a blind trust for his corporations -- he's letting his kids run them -- and he's letting those kids go to meetings with leaders of the tech industries, other countries, etc. How is this not illegal? He misses most of his security briefings. His cabinet pick for attorney general was considered too racist to be allowed to be a federal judge. His strategist runs one of the most fact-free, misleading propaganda machines in the US. His pick for secretary of state has close ties to the Russian government. Polifact estimated that Donald Trump was one of the most dishonest politicians in recorded history, with a lie on average every 3.5 minutes.

He lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, and though the Democrats did a very bad job campaigning, it's also clear that the voter suppression tactics in NC and WI played a role. I can point to two things that the Dem's did wrong: not going after the devout Christian vote, who would have voted for a democrat instead of a man who has multiple marriages and rape allegations if she had reached out, and not visiting the rust belt, which was in sore need of help after the loss of manufacturing jobs and decimation of local stores by Walmart. i can point to illegal things that the R did, including possibly the FBI's meddling with the election, but more importantly, massive efforts to restrict the voting rights of thousands of Americans.

I think time will tell, but it's important to resist anyone who lies to us and is visibly corrupt. We need the Rebuplicans to stand up for what is right -- e.g. to vote for the bill that would force Trump to show all of his conflicts of interest. Please write your congressman to ask them to vote for these bills.

In all honesty, as rotten as Trump may be, he's an angel compared to Hillary and her faux charity etc. And don't forget that with the primaries system it isn't the party that chooses nominees.

Kim is spewing the typical, liberal, leftist, feminist propaganda. (What is she doing reading your blog?) The 2 million (not 3) votes were mostly from Calif., full of illegals given the right to vote; just another propaganda piece. No one can be sure of what will be, and how good a president he will be. Most Americans feel this way but seem very hopeful! Believe that his great win was surely the hand of Hashem.

Just another point, calling Trump dishonest when comparing him to his opponent,is laughable.

Yes, a, I agree. It's very hard to get through to Reactionary Leftist Liberals.
