Lame Duck Obama Sneaks a Punch at Israel

The utter irony of it...
On the Eve of the Jewish Holiday of Chanukah which celebrates our victory over the Greek invaders, enemies from both far and near, both Jewish and non-Jewish who tried to prevent our Jewish independence in our Holy Land and the observance of Jewish Law, the American Lame Duck President Barack Hussein Obama facilitated the passing of an anti-Israel resolution in the United States Security Council.
UN chief welcomes Security Council resolution on Israeli settlements as ‘significant step’

The Security Council is composed of 15 Members:
I'm listing them, because I want it clear that none of these countries are allies of the State of Israel.

Never before has a country been condemned for holding and developing land gotten in a war for its very survival. Only Israel is condemned for surviving. Of course, if only the State of Israel had fully annexed all of the land we liberated in 1967 immediately, the world would have accepted it as fait accompli. But the Israeli Government thought they could just keep East Jerusalem and the Golan in the north for agriculture and to protect vulnerable kibbutzim, while leaving the rest as "payment" for "peace." And a half a century later, we're paying dearly for that mistake!

Here we are just a few weeks before Donald Trump, the most pro-Jewish and pro-Israeli United States President ever is to be inaugurated, and Barack Hussein Obama insisted on getting in his last kicks licks. I hope that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu finds more ways to get back at the countries that voted for the resolution.
Netanyahu's spokesman to Arab media Ofir Gendelman tweeted later on Friday night that the prime minister had canceled an upcoming visit from Senegal's foreign minister to Israel, as well as Israeli aid programs to the country. Netanyahu has instructed Israel's ambassadors in New Zealand and Senegal to return to Israel for consultations, his spokesman said on Friday, in response to a UN resolution on settlements. Jerusalem Post
Personally, if it was up to me, the State of Israel should just leave the United Nations!

I agree with almost everything you wrote (as usual dear Batya.) The only thing I'm not certain about is whether it is in our best interest to leave the UN or not. At times I do think it IS in important that our representative takes the stand at the assembly and tells our side of the story. (THE TRUTH!) To be honest, I was not surprised for I expected Obama not use the veto this time. Bravo on another thought provoking post!

Right now we do have an excellent Ambassador to the United Nations, but most of the time it's a waste.

Gutless Bronco Bama didn't have the nerve to order his minion to vote for or against. So she abstained, like he did throughout his career in the Illinois legislature, except when he voted against any restrictions on abortion.

We need to just ignore the UN resolution, keep on keeping the money flowing while we can and hit them with a sledge hammer, annexing the land and transfer any Arabs who cannot live in a Jewish state for humanitarian reasons. All legal.
