Here's the Picture of Me Used in the AP Article

In this Nov. 15, 2009 photo, Jewish settler Batya Medad laughs in the Jewish settlement of Shiloh near the West Bank village of Qariout, northeast of Ramallah. Qariout, a rocky hillside hamlet of 2,600 people, illustrates why Palestinians are so desperate to halt the spread of Jewish settlements. Beyond the political issue of their effect on borders for any future state, the construction constricts life in hundreds of West Bank villages by gobbling up farmland, restricting movement and exposing villagers to clashes with settlers, Palestinians say. Medad sees a different story from the settlers' red-roofed houses: She calls it the return of the Jewish people to land God promised them in the Old Testament. (AP Photo/Dan Balilty)

The complete article appeared all over the world.

Typical and crappy AP caption.

You're right. No matter what expression on my face they'd cast it in negative light. They also filmed the interview, but I didn't find it.

Actually, I'm glad they took a happy, confident-looking pic to use.

Your laughing because those bloody arabs will finally leave? Great shot though ... they should interview me ... they'd have something to write about.

Ahh, the last laugh... is the best!

Move here, and the press will listen.

Awesome picture of you! The face of Israel:) I love love love it!

FYI to the AP--the caption is too biased and wayyyyy toooooo longgggg and biased. Sheesh, even in photo captions they insert commentaries. It's an article in itself lol.

Thanks, Keli. They used two pictures for Shiloh vs three for the Arabs. The second was of a guard dog!
Did anyone ever find the video they took of the interview?

I went to the AP You Tube channel. I couldn't find the finterview they did, but it's possible they're doing a video essay.

I'll keep checking.

You know, that picture of you went all across the world, along with the article.

The first thing that came to mind was pride, happiness, and freedom.

In contrast to the scary looking guard dog. In terms of PR and spreading a message:

Israelis=1
Arabs=0
