Will Israel and the Jewish World Wake Up to The Fact That Obama is No Friend?

It's hard for people to face the truth.  For close to fifteen years I was obese, and I only admitted to being "a bit overweight, but very fit."  Only now, after losing over thirty pounds, fifteen kilo and still considered very overweight according to the charts, have I absorbed the fact that my weight had been dangerously high.  It's easier to think of ourselves as "overweight" than "obese."

And for Israel and Jews, it's very hard to accept that there's both latent and active antisemitism all over the world, even in the highest places, like the White House.

Just because someone smiles at us and claims "I'm a friend of Israel," doesn't mean that he/she really is.  We need actions, not words.  International newspaper editorials and op-eds are full of "advice" like this by PIERRE RAZOUX who has no doubt that the United States doesn't have Israel very high on it's priority list.  Actually I agree with that.  When was the last time that Obama instructed the Arabs (sic Palestinians) that they must take into account Israel's safety and that Israel must have viable borders?

Don't hold your breath.  Israel's security and survival are very low on Obama's list.  There are far beneath his Pseudistinian soul mates.

We had better stop "hoping" for improvement.  It's not going to happen.  The address for help isn't Washington DC.

In another twenty-four hours, I'll be lighting the Shabbat and Rosh Hashannah candles.

Shana tova again--on this post too LOL.

You're 100-percent right. Most of the people who claim to love Israel and the Jewish people don't really.

Did Madonna use her high-profile celebrity to push Bibi and Peres to push for the US to release Jonathan Pollard? Nope. They used her for a photo-op and she used them to ultimately get more of her Kabbalah Centres in Israel.

So what did it really matter when she wrapped herself in an Israeli flag?

When Bono of U2 gave a concert in Israel despite threats from Hamas many thought he was a great fan of Israel. So did I, until he started preaching about the need for a two-state solution.

Christian Zionists have this over-the-top newfound love for the Jewish people. Most are affliated with missionary groups and TV ministries. Their motives are obvious.

It's sad when you think about it. So many Israelis think these are signs of genuine affection and friendship and support when they're really not.

I wish I could do more to help Israel from where I am now. About all I can do is speak the truth to people online and offline and a few months ago wrote the very first pro-Israel, in defense of Israel editorial at the newspaper I write for. It was on page 11, in small font but all 900 words were there--nothing edited out:) No editing for content or space!!

Peanuts compared to Madonna wraping herself in the flag but I do what I can in my part of the world.

I had serious misgivings about him from the start, and blogged about it. A person is judged partially by the company he keeps, and his company included former terrorists and anti-Israel Islamists. 'Nuf said.
(btw, did you remove the link to my blog from your bloglist? I thought it was there before...)

obama is not anti-israel, he's just more fair and smart than previous pro-israel american presidents. And that's the very reason why he has a chance to make peace in the midEast.

a, 100% wrong. The fact that Obama doesn't give a "hoot" about Israel's survival is almost irrelevant to the peace issue. He, just like all the former presidents, UN busybodies etc are totally incapable of making "peace in the midEast," because lasting peace, the only type worth its name, can only be made by the people involved. Since the Arabs are the aggressors, they are the ones who must stop the terroris and wars. They must make peace.
