I'm Not the One to Do This, But...
I just read the news item saying that Sarah Palin's new book, Going Rogue, will be coming out Nov. 17. I highly recommend that the holy sisters of the yishuvim invite Sarah for a visit to Israel highlighting the yishuvim and the women in particular. I think that Women in Green, Daniela Weiss, the excellent women's Torah institutions in Yehuda and Shomron and some of the fine blogging ladies, especially our own Muse, should be involved. I think that after Mike Huckabee's visit this could be a very nice event. Some people who are better at promotion than ourselves should be brought on board. Do some networking and see what you can come up with.

she doesnt have to meet the female leaders of rz. the rz 'rank and file' women are some of the strongest women around.

It sounds like you are enamoured of these high-profile goyim. Perhaps you should spend a little time and find out more about them before you issue the invitations. Palin and Huckabee are Dominionists. Don't know what that is? Type Palin Huckabee Dominionists into the Yahoo search window and find out.
According to a recent poll, the majority of Americans consider Sarah Paulin a joke. She lied to the people of Alaska about never using government funds for non-business activities, but an investigation found that she illegally used money for her children on trips where they were not part of official government business and paid herself a stipend for working at home. She displayed gross ignorance during the Vice Presidential Debate and routinely changed the subject during the course of questioning. If you review the recording of the debate, it is clear that Joe Biden answered each question directly and Paulin consistently skirted the issues. Regarding the questions asked about the Supreme Court and landmark decisions, Paulin was unable to name any. Recently, her daughter's ex revealed that for all her talk about hunting and fishing, Paulin has never hunted moose or carribou as she claimed during her campaign last year. Finally, she resigned as govenor of Alaska because she couldn't take the heat. With two years remaining, she betrayed the trust of her constituents who voted her into office. Paulin claimed she did not want to cost the state of Alaska more money as a result of investigations into her ethics violations. But the truth is that the investigations will continue until all questions have been answered - whether she is still govenor or not - and the real reason she stepped down is because she received a multi-million dollar publishing deal for her new book. Why on earth would any self-respecting group of women invite Paulin to speak? There are important and experienced women in business and politics who occassionally speak at group functions. Any organization which invites Paulin to speak makes the rest of us wonder if the organization itself is just as loony as Paulin herself.
Everyone has a strong opinion about her, but Sarah Palin is a great friend of Israel. I remember seeing her during an interview last year where, other than an Alaskan and American flag, she had only one other emblem near her desk: an Israeli flag. On this issue, the current president stands on the wrong side of history. Palin stands with Israel.

I disagree with much of what is said here.
Devash, I googled Palin Huckabee Dominionists. Everything leads back to left wing conspiracy sources, which I wouldn't even want printed on my toilet paper.
Anonymous' rubbish on Palin is just that.
Also, having read Devash's blogpost on the naivety of the residents of Judea and Samaria to Christian "friends", while I do agree with that in general, my support of meeting Palin has everything to do with her politics and not her religion. If she had been Jewish, I would have said the same thing - and not because she's Jewish.
As for Ellen's article on Palin, I pretty much agree with that. Essentially, with Palin, it boils down to that tried and true rule of Kabdehah Ve'Chashdeha. Calling her a "shikse", as Anonymous (can't you folks use a slightly more original moniker?!) did above, is simply crass, inconsiderate and uncalled for - not exactly what we understand to be proper Jewish Midot.
Anonymous didn't call anyone a shikse but herself.
People tend to live up to the names they've been given, and so do i.

I'm happy that I drew some response. We want this blog to be wide awake and not sleepy. When we write we want to see people reading it.
Beyond that, the quality of some of the comments is better than some of the others. (Me, starting out being nice.)
(Taking the gloves off) The particular Anonymous who can't spell Palin's name or even take the momentous step of giving h/hself a consistent monicker to distinguish h/hself from every other Anonymous is, you know what? Something similar to a dork.
To others: I am quite aware of missionary problems. I was once a volunteer for Yad L'Achim and was a lurker with my wife at the '88 Shavuot missionary conference at the Diplomat. I wasn't born yesterday. But I follow the guidelines of Rav Soloveitchik zt"l that allow interfaith cooperation on social and political issues but not interfaith dialogue on religious issues. I add to that that I teach the truth of the Torah for the nations (the Noahide Laws) to whoever listens and that is not dialogue. Dialogue is theological show and tell, putting our Torah and their idolatry on the same basis. Rav Soloveitchik writes that history will show which side of the debate is true and until then we just have to maintain the dignity of our tradition and wait. But when we believe there are ethical issues at work NOW, we make alliances on the political level. See R. Soloveitchik's article "Confrontation", published in Tradition in 1964, originally given as an address at a rabbinic conference the same year.
As for Palin, the bat-left-throw-left Jews have a great penchant for having love feasts with those who want to kill them (like Wahhabis) and spitting in the faces of those who want to be their friends but deny their true faith, Liberalism. The rest is just leftist apologetics. I like Shy Guy's response best.
Thanks to all for your interest. It's important that when these kinds of people come that the seriously critical people be around. Yesterday's missionaries have often ended up today's something else. Don't turn away the trial and error searches of people looking for the truth.

I always steer clear of conspiracy theories, but I wouldn't dismiss Devash's concerns over Dominionists, as this movement and type of thinking does seem to be currently fueling the fires of fundamentalist, and evangelical Christianity.

Ellen, I had already read up on Dominionists.
First of all, I'm not sure if Palin is one of them. Her church, Wasilla Assembly of God, is a member of Assemblies of God.
I went through their BELIEFS sections and came up with what is standard stuff for the evangelical world. Yes, I went through the scare article at HuffPo about Palin and her church. HuffPo gets frightened whenever they encounter anyone who beliefs in a god, let alone prays to him.
I have no time now to do a similar check on Huckabee.

Assemblies of God is a large denomination. Dominionist philosophy is more like a world-view that's fueling a lot of the thinking in the evangelical world. As an example, the homeschooling movement is an idea that stems from Dominionism.
And speaking of homeschooling evangelists, did you hear that the Waller family is in town?
