Rudy G for President?

Newsweek has an article about Rudy Giuliani as a possible American presidential candidate. It's interesting in what it left out.

Does anyone remember why he took a break from active politics? He had to fight cancer, and I'm glad to hear that he's alive. That's not because I'm one of his supporters, it's just that I don't wish him such a death. Usually the American press is very nosy, or informative, about these things, which makes me wonder about the article.

Another problem that plagued him as he ended his time as Mayor of New York City was his marriage and "living arrangements." So we don't know from the article if he's married today and if so, to whom.

And, as an Israeli, what worries me is that he and Ehud Olmert, de facto PM, are buddies.

Any friend of Olmert is no friend of mine!

I'm with you there. Olmert is a sleaze bucket; G-d willing we will see the back of him soon.

As for Rudy; really, there was something sleazy there as well. But as my son was saying who would the election be between? Hilary Clinton and Rice? Double ugh.

Well now. Doesn't that make you feel better? The American politicians aren't any more attractive than ours.
