Bravely and Wisely the Bereaved Fogol Family Permits Publication of Pictures of Members Murdered by Arab Terrorists

One of the reasons that Israel is losing the hasbara/information/PR war is that we don't show the graphic truth.  We protect our victims and ourselves by hiding the true cruelty of our enemies.  Apparently the Fogel Family, the survivors, the bereaved, the mourners of the horrifically cruel attack in Itamar on Friday night when a young mother, father and three of their children were murdered have decided that the world must see how the Arab terrorist/s stabbed 36 year old Udi, 35 year old Ruth, 11 year old Yoav, 4 year old Elad and 3 month old Hadas.

These photos were released by the family. They have given full permission
for their use and they to ask you to report on the horrific reality of
murdering children and babies in their sleep, simply because they are
Jewish.

From reports:

On Friday night at 10:30 pm the terrorists entered the house through the
living room picture window, did not notice the 6-year-old boy sleeping on
the couch and continued on to the bedroom where they slashed the throats of
the father and newborn baby who were sleeping there. The mother came out of
the bathroom and was stabbed on its threshold. The evidence shows that she
tried to fight the terrorists. They then slashed the throat of the 11-year
old-son who was reading in bed. They did not notice the 2-year old asleep in
his bed, but murdered the 3-year old with two stabs to his heart. After
that, they locked the door, exited through the window and escaped. Two hours
after the infiltration, there was another warning signal from the same spot
on the fence, as the terrorists left the way they had come. Once again, the
patrol did not identify the source of the signal as infiltration.

The 12-year-old daughter returned home at 00:30 and found the door locked.
She asked a neighbor to help her. He brought a weapon with him once he
noticed tracks and mud near the house. The two woke up the 6-year old
sleeping in the living room by calling through the window and when he opened
the door, the Rabbi returned to his home. When she entered the bedrooms, the
young daughter saw the horrific bloodsoaked scene and ran out of the house
screaming. The neighbor ran back and fired several shots in the air to alert
security personnel. Within a short time, large police and IDF forces
arrived and began intensive searches to see if the terrorists were still in
the community. At 03:30 a.m., military trackers discovered footprints
leading to the Arab village of Avrata.

With hopes for better days,

I beg of you to consider posting links to the pictures rather than directly displaying the images. Let each reader choose whether to view or not.

No, I do not want to enter into a discussion about the advantages versus the disadvantages of publicizing such pictures. However, not everyone can handle these and you blog is not known for it's "sensationalism". If you have any doubts, that was meant to be a compliment.

Please reconsider.

I spoke to someone in touch with the family who confirmed they want the world to see the barbarity and cruelty of the Arabs.

I am not arguing about making the pictures available - just about displaying them directly, rather than linking to them.

Some people literally get sick viewing such picture. Yes, there are people out there who are feint of heart literally.

Tizki le'mitzvot.

I agree that it's not an easy call, but I know there are readers who don't click links.

Batya - it was a very wise decision to release the photos. I agree.
It's about time that the public, especially western media, finally notice how barbaric the palestinians are.
I am sure these holy neshamot are all with the Shechina now.
May HaShem avenge the Fogel family's blood and comfort the family during this difficult time.

I'm glad you understand.

Thank you for your blog. I think as well that it is wise to release the photos. Though I have seen the pictures before on the Muqata blog, I was also taken by shock here, as then I had a moment to prepare myself, before clicking on the link and here I had them in my face without realising that you were presenting them. Also, in other places they blurred more of the images. Yes, the family has wisely given permission to publicize them, but some of your readers (like myself, who is around the same age as the mother, and has children around the same ages as the victims, and knows that it could have been me) already are in trauma, without having the images forced in their faces. just having a warning and a "click here" as the muquata blog does, it a little more respectful of the readers (yes, we are not the victims, but all of am yisrael is mourning)

Sorry it's so upsetting. They are at the end of the post.
