In many countries and states of mind, I'd be called a "dissident." Read my old posts, and tell me if that label fits.
Here in Israel, with all my complaints, rants etc, bli eyin haraa (don't tempt the evil eye) the authorities haven't bothered me. I'm pretty sure they ignore me, or this blog would get a lot more "hits." Bureaucracy would do that, I'm sure.
The Arab countries aren't as tolerant of their bloggers according to this Newsweek article. Freedom of speech is a foreign concept.
Every once in a while, I get a little nervous, like when I've offended the more famous Israeli dissidents, like Nadia Matar. The Israeli authorities don't seem terribly concerned with bloggers like me.
