Aliyah l'Regel--On Foot!

During the Succot Holiday, hundreds of thousand of Jews from all over the world come to Jerusalem. For the past three years we've marched from Shiloh to Jerusalem! Though to be exact, the security forces now demand that we ride part of the way. It may take from the purity of the experience, but it's still a wonderful and important annual event.

It's called the Od Avihu Chai March to Jerusalem and is dedicated to the memory of Avihu Keinan, of Shiloh, who was killed in one of those army actions planned according to the safety of the Arabs, rather than to protect our soldiers as much as possible. Ever since Avihu's death, his father, Moshe, has been a the forefront of the movement to challenge and change the false and dangerous "morality" that dominates Israeli policy and thinking.

Since last summer's "nameless war," more and more people are realizing that the IDF doesn't have a clear mission. The false, perverse "morality" and Disengagement have seriously weakened the army. Just this morning it was announced that Maj.-Gen. Yiftah Ron-Tal is being fired from the army to telling the truth: there is a clear link between the IDF's execution of the Disengagement from Gaza and its poor performance during the Lebanon war.

Our march to Jerusalem is not just for Shiloh residents; anyone can join us, and please do!

G-d willing, it will be on Thursday, October 12, Chol Hamoed Succot. For exact schedule and details, including ways to assist, such as donations to cover water and food expenses, please call Orit 0545-649-140.
