Hamas War

It should be obvious!

Since I've reduced my blogging and computer time, the screen I'm seeing more of is the TV. Besides my collections of old movies and C.S.I. shows, I've caught more newscasts, which aren't conducive to a good night's sleep.

The big, I told you so, revelations concern the massive tunnels and weapons in the Gush Katif area, which such a short time ago was a thriving Jewish area, but was given to the terrorists,
According to Southern Command assessments, at least 10 tunnels have been dug close to the fence separating the Gaza Strip from the western Negev, for the purpose of being used in a raid.
Meanwhile, the IDF continued for the third day its operation along the
Philadelphi Route, which borders the southern Gaza Strip and Egypt. A total of
13 tunnels have been so far uncovered and a number of shafts for not yet
completed tunnels. Some of the uncovered tunnels originated inside homes close to the border with Egypt.

and all of the innocent Jewish residents were thrown out. The vast majority are still in (modern-newly built) refugee camps and unemployed.

Last night on the news, the very obviously shocked an horrified reporter was asking what should be done. Of course our military planners--the politicians who give orders to the IDF-- don't have a clue. They're busy "putting out fires" and "chasing their tails." They don't see the whole picture, just like they couldn't imagine that Egypt would sit idly by and even help the terrorists "Lebanonize" the Gaza Strip.

Of course the only sensible thing would be to re-capture the area, wipe out the terrorists and encourage Jewish settlement in all of the Land. It wouldn't be easy, but the present situation means that the future will be worse. And according to the Jerusalem Post: Ben-Eliezer: Gaza won't be retaken.

Israeli politicians have no intentions of letting facts on the ground get in the way of their ideology!

For some of us, like IMRA's Dr. Aaron Lerner, Weekly Commentary: Wake Up Call: Dumbo Crashes In Gaza, it's all so obvious.

And because we're not the ones in power, it may G-d forbid be very tragic.

In the meantime, Amir Peretz, Israel's Defense Minister, is busy fighting us. He's planning on destroying more Jewish communities and neighborhoods and he has already Handed Twenty innocent Israelis Administrative Orders Without Trial. This is so similar to Biblical times when King Saul spent all of his time trying to capture and destroy David, rather than destroying the enemies of the Jewish Nation.

It's up to us to change the government!

Shabbat Shalom
and Chodesh Tov
